"Why- why are you laughing?"

Floyd speaks between giggles, lips upturned into a playful grin. "I thought this was s'pposed to be romantic?"

"It is! But you're smiling so much!" Even you can't seem to stop yourself from your own emerging smile, as you cover your mouth in an attempt to hide it.

"It's 'cuz you started laughing first!" he reasons in defense, still giggling with a giddy expression.

"Okay, okay, let's do it again, for real this time." You try to calm down your blushing cheeks, fanning yourself. "Okay, let's do it again. SERIOUS, this time."

Floyd nods, his smile also softening as he rests his hands on your waist.

The atmosphere quiets down a bit now, settling into a more soft mood.

The playfulness is gone, leaving a more tender feeling in it's place.

He stares at you with a half-lidded gaze, eyes dripping with affection. So sweet, the way he's looking at you, that you can't help but let out a dreamy sigh, unaware of your own lovestruck eyes glued to his visage.

A corner of his lips quirk up when he hears it, and with no hesitation, leans in.

The kiss was soft, unexpected coming from Floyd. He held you so gently, hands resting on your waist, a faint tremble in his grip.

Instinctively, your arms wrapped around his neck, tugging him closer, catching him off guard. His eyes blink in surprise, your boldness impressing him.

You are the first to pull away, sporting a goofy grin on your face, and sighing dreamily once more.

However, your heart skips a beat when you see Floyd's own expression.

He was blushing, profusely so, with lips wobbling in an uncontrollable grin.

Such a giddy expression, staring at you as if you've just gifted him the best present he could ever ask for.

It made your stomach flutter, for some reason.

In an instant, he suddenly wraps his arms around you, pulling you into a tight hug.

You let out a small noise of surprise, before eventually just settling into it.

"... you're so pretty."

Floyd mutters muffledly against your shoulder, nuzzling into you. A sigh slips out of your mouth, one of playful exasperation.

"You're pretty too, Floyd."

You pull him close to you to bask in the warmth, muttering with a soft smile.

"... I love you." He whispers softly, barely heard.

The smile on your face grows a bit bigger, and you huff.

"I love you too, Floyd."
