Hey, everyone! Mod here. I would like to make a post about the recent cancelation of Dead Boy Detectives and the future of this account! I apologize, by the way, for being inactive here because I have been very busy. Anyway, let's cut to the chase! First off, I still plan to continue this account! Whoo! So don't worry!! Charles won't be going anytime soon :) but I'm not sure about @deadboyedwin if he's continuing to post as Edwin! Secondly, I wanna express my frustrations towards the cancelation of Dead Boy Detectives. It is truly upsetting to see the show being left in a state where the story will never continue. It's truly upsetting and frustrating that we'll never see what happened to Niko, we'll never see Edwin and Charles get together, we'll never see Crystal trying to be a better person, we'll never see any of those stories continue, and that sucks. I could say more but I don't want to keep you reading. With that said!! Have a great day and watch Dead Boy Detectives in honor of the show getting canceled.

Boarding school au

Essentially just Edwin and Charles as humans suffering in a very strict boarding school with cruel punishments. Also including this torture device from Esther and the chokey (this shelf punishment from Matilda) Edwin has been trough it all and tries to protect Charles from it as good as he can. And Charles manages to let them sneak out to the nearest city, which is London.

Gender swap au (modern au or like the show)

A story about the daughter of Charle’s sister (the comic Charles had a sister so this part would be canon) and the great great grandniece of Edwin. That go to the same school and start to help each other against bullies. And maybe even accidentally find a way to the dead boy detective agency.

Crystal x Niko

Anything about them really. Like give them the romance they deserve. Maybe they solve a case together. Or Crystal find Niko after she is believed dead (this one would be after season one I haven’t read the comics and this is I think a story line which is different then in the original material so all just headcanon) Crystal finding a shrink Niko who is with the dandelion gods and they get rescued by Crystal.

Just Charles and Edwin solving a case after season 1 and Charles discovers his feelings for Edwin. Also them being this funny old married couple

Charles rescuing Edwin from hell but more romantic and more adventurous with a thigh room (I just love the scene too much)

Charles teaching Edwin how to kiss properly, plot twist Edwin is already a natural talented good kisser (as ghost or as humans, setting before season 1 or before Edwin’s trip back to hell)

Baby and or toddler Edwin (set after season 1) (I will probably write this as a fanfic myself) taken

During a case Charles gets infected by something and gets set in a trance. While Edwin and Crystal try everything to find out how to help him, Charles’ mind gets send back in time to the Edwardian age. Somehow he is the new servant for the Payne family that is explicitly hired to take care of Edwin. Edwin is a fussy baby and shows strange behaviours due to his autism. His parents of course just want him to behave like a grown up already and are overwhelmed with how to take care of him. Luckily Charles isn’t from this time, that’s why he knows that first of all cocaine isn’t medicine that you can give a baby and he generally knows Edwin’s needs. (Disclaimer he doesn’t fall in love with little Edwin that would be weird, but he has the opportunity to give Edwin memories of at least a nice childhood before the horrible boarding school, and he to paradoxically time reasons, Edwin in the normal time can only remember a blurry version of this memory and having a very nice servant who was half Indian)

Niko season 2 (Niko X Crystal)

A story in which Niko is old like in the end of dbd. She has been trough a lot of time troubles and needs to manage a lot to help the agency. Sadly she has no chance to tell them, she is not allowed to reveal her identity. But that might change once Crystal notices her feelings for the Niko she lost. Will she find out?

Heyy, it's Nova !!

Back at it again with a new oc. Her name is Maisie Mallard or Duckie (her father's nickname for her), although she doesn't yet know that. She passed away in the early 2000's at the hands of her abusive mother due to her being jealous about how close Maisie was with her father. After her death, she and her boyfriend (the man her mother had on the side) separated her limbs and buried her without a head, leading to her spirit having no idea who she was and what happened to her. A perfect case for the Dead Boy Detectives, am I right?

Payneland - Charles x Edwin Roleplay

Hello everyone!

Look at me recycling my own RP templates! As always, I want to cut the chase a little: I am looking for a Dead Boy Detectives Roleplay! As tagged, I am interested in roleplaying mxm, more specificaly Payneland (Charles x Edwin) with some partaking Crystal x Niko, depending on the context.

I would be interested in roleplaying Charles Rowland unless, of course, he is your main muse. He is still very much for grabs, so don’t hesitate to come forward because as long as we play our cards right, there shouldn’t be any problem as to who we pick ahah. Here is a short laundry list before you keep reading:

It is very important to me that you are legal [18+]. I will not be roleplaying mature content with people below the age of 20. I am a little older myself and it tends to make me uncomfortable.

I have been writing for years. If it is a one-liner roleplay you are looking for, I do not believe we will be a good match. I am looking for someone who is semi-lit at the very least!

I am generally a very active person, but I do have a full-time job and full-time obligations as well. If this rings a bell, welcome to the adult world ahah. A reply a day (and more) does go a long way!

I am GMT-4 or 5, depending on the time of the year. Not that it really matters but it’s always good to be aware of this! I usually RP on Discord.

If you think you qualify, I’m certain we can be great friends :) Now, on to the very serious talk: what is it I’m really looking for?

A Payneland roleplay. Very simply. As mentioned earlier, I do not mind including Crystal and Niko as well, but they are not usually a couple I plan around.

I love to explore different genres so if you come up to me and tell me you love period or space aus, I’ll be just as enchanted to roleplay with you as if you told me you would like to stick to the DBDA world.

I love to plot. Obviously, I’m not seeking every precocious detail but I like to have an idea of the overall story and scenes. It does not have to be extensive, but a little hint will give us both something to look forward to. :)

[20+] I am definitely open to smut but I rarely, if ever, rp pwp. I am certain we can find a way to add it to a more polished storyline.

I'm semi lit but response length isn't a huge deal for me (quality>quantity yk)

I'm a huge Catwin fan, also very partial to Payneland :)

I haven't rp'd much DBDA before so I'm picking things up as I go!

Rp Stuff:

1. I prefer rping through tumblr messenger just because it's easier and my response time is terrible on any other platform

2. I am sometimes okay with rping more graphic themes as long as they are discussed in detail beforehand, if you're unsure please just ask

3. I don't like to pester for responses but if you go a week without a reply I'll just give you a little nudge or check in on you. I get that life is crazy, I sometimes have to step back for a bit, so there will never be any pressure

4. I am pretty comfortable doing any ship (my fave is definitely catwin but I'm open to others), but if I have any concerns I will let you know

5. DBDA rp's only please! I'm cool with introducing OC's as long as they don't become the focal point of the plot
