first of all I have to say kill yourself
I combined these two videos into one so I could just make one post but the first video was SPONSORED which is why i saw it at all but I was flabbergasted like. there are so many things to say about that video first of filming that video in a nice plaza is already telling. second all you have the LUXURY to go visit your family during the "war" can palestinians say the same? like go fuck yourself the glee in which she says all those things disgusts me
for the second video (sorry the audio is messed up) first of all over 10 THOUSAND children have been killed in gaza do you think it's safe for them to go outside without being scared for their lives? they don’t even have the luxury of being Inside without being scared. second of all psychological damages. you. again at least you have the fucking luxury of having a normal life routine to be interrupted. there is nothing normal about the millions of people starving in gaza and you still have the gall to act like a victim. I truly mean this from the bottom of my heart. kill yourself.

I really don’t know how to explain that climate town has filled the hole in my heart that was made when Disney got rid of Ellen’s energy adventure

i think in general, i'd love to look at how different games are marketed
like. what makes a good ad for a game vs a bad one sounds super interesting to me (plus there's just. a lot of examples that are bad in VERY obvious ways)

State-Sponsored Discrimination
Discrimination and subjugation of specific groups by a state can manifest in various ways. Here are some common actions and policies that states may employ when engaging in discrimination or subjugation:
Legal Discrimination: States may enact laws that explicitly discriminate against certain groups, such as racial segregation, discriminatory voting laws, or restrictions on property ownership.
Institutionalized Bias: Discrimination can be institutionalized through biased law enforcement, unequal access to education, or disparities in healthcare.
Segregation: Establishing segregated facilities or neighborhoods, often along racial lines, is a classic form of discrimination.
Violence and Repression: States may use violence, harassment, or intimidation to subdue or control specific groups.
Forced Relocation: Displacing particular communities or groups from their homes or land.
Censorship and Suppression of Information: Controlling or censoring information to limit awareness and organization among discriminated groups.
Economic Exploitation: Exploiting certain groups economically by providing unfair labor conditions or limited economic opportunities.
Denial of Basic Rights: Depriving specific groups of their rights, including the right to vote, work, or access education.
Hate Speech and Propaganda: Promoting hate speech, propaganda, or stereotypes to justify discrimination.
Ethnic Cleansing and Genocide: Extreme cases involve ethnic cleansing and genocide, where the state actively seeks to eliminate a particular ethnic or social group.
Religious Persecution: Discrimination based on religion, including restrictions on religious practices, places of worship, or religious attire.
Sexual Orientation Discrimination: Enforcing discriminatory laws or practices against individuals based on their sexual orientation.
Political Oppression: Targeting groups based on their political beliefs or affiliations, including suppression of opposition parties.
State-Sponsored Discrimination: In some instances, the state sponsors and supports discriminatory groups or organizations.
Marginalization: Marginalizing certain groups from participating in the political, economic, or social life of the country.
Denial of Citizenship or Legal Status: Denying citizenship, legal status, or documentation to certain groups, rendering them stateless.
Gerrymandering: Manipulating political boundaries to dilute the voting power of specific groups.
Selective Law Enforcement: Enforcing the law selectively to target particular groups.
Mass Surveillance: Conducting extensive surveillance of specific communities or groups.
Restricted Movement: Imposing curfews, roadblocks, or travel restrictions on targeted groups.
These actions are often associated with human rights abuses, and they can result in severe social, political, and economic consequences for the affected communities. It's essential to address and combat discrimination and subjugation to ensure a more just and equitable society.

Anyone who’s been around for a while knows that I work at a tuition centre, have done from years, and I was promoted and work there pretty much full time since January.
Anyway, my boss used to be an aid worker before he opened the centre, and he uses some of the profits to continue his aid work, part of which is that we currently sponsor a school in Zanzibar. He decided to go and pay them a visit in person and see how things are going and he asked them to send a list of stuff they might need so he can bring it with.
Guys
They asked for paper.
They asked us to buy them paper and plain writing books.
The reality check was harsh, especially considering the way we freely place orders on eBay and Amazon when we’re running low on stuff, how we print all our workbooks in colour for our students and will just…reprint them without a second thought when they lose them.
Anyway, it’s just been playing on my mind that the main thing they want is simply paper so they can write on it. It’s incredibly humbling.

good things from today:
saw an osprey!!! it was circling and occasionally splashed down in a pond to try to grab a fish. it did not succeed while i was watching but i’m rooting for it
it’s been a while but i can still turn a sock heel from memory, including on the bus
went to a restaurant w my parents that i’ve wanted to try but can’t go to with 🌸 bc no vegan options and had an extraordinarily nice piece of fish and quite a lot of moules frites
very bravely did not buy a very stupid clock from an art museum gift shop, because while it was hilarious i did not have a plan to put it anywhere and can get the same thing custom made by my labmate for less if i were for some reason really dedicated to the idea
