Every time I look at fanarts of TID I have to take a deep breath because some of the clothes aren't completely period accurate, so I wanted to try to draw them with more accurate dresses.

Charlotte did not take as long as I expected, probably because I always imagined her style in a more simple and elegant style.

I used Cassandra Jean's design for the gear and tried to adjust it a bit following the Codex's information about older versions of the female gear having a skirt, but I just decided to make that padding around the abdomen and hips longer and simulate a skirt (but not too long to not reduce the mobility), whereas the male gear would be shorter and the way that Cassandra Jean did it.

Jess was a bit more complicated because she does care about her appearance more and has a more intricate style. And normally I try to not add a lot of detail with Victorian characters because Queen Victoria didn't like makeup and found it vulgar, so women usually went for a natural look. Jessamine paints her dark circles whereas Charlotte naturally has them for obvious reasons. ☠️

Low-key, I loved doing Jessamine's ghost form.

And please let's not talk about my strange doodling attempt with the electrum lace design on the parasol. Halfway through it I started telling myself Henry is not a fashion designer and he tried his best to mimic a lace design with the electrum and hide some runes for her protection.

I will be honest, I struggled with the color of the dress because I do not imagine Cecily with a plain color dress, but not too intricate as Jessamine's. Everything looked too blue at first and I switched so many colors until it ended up like that. And don't get me started on the hair... It felt ✨WRONG✨ to give her a historically accurate hairstyle considering everyone gives her straight hair down.

So in my head her hair IS straight, she just has to appropriately wear it up. But nothing too complicated. And it's worth mentioning my memory is starting to blur out a lot. I had to check her wiki for the weapon and whatnot, and I found that she was petite and thin. In my head she was about Tessa's height. But I barely remember a lot from the books by now.

But I did try to make her look closely similar to Will. And I think she does look like a female, better, version of him. Also, if you're wondering why she's not wearing the necklace: I didn't realize I didn't add it until I finished coloring the dress and by that point I was so sick of it I left it like that. I had the sketch of the necklace, I just forgot to put it with the dress. 🫠

The damn maid dress. It's simple. It is ten times simpler than Jessamine's dress and YET I was struggling with it. And don't get me started on the scar.

The wiki said it was a big, silver, scar on the left side of her face from the corner of her mouth to her temple. I had an existential crisis trying to figure out how to do it, because in the other set ups of these drawings, I depict them like they're facing me, so the portrait wouldn't have shown the scar.

And it's a problem because I also suck at drawing scars. The first try looked fine but it wasn't silver, then I did this and in one part I guess it's fine because I didn't want to make a pretty scar when it's supposed to be bad and shocking for the time period. But a part of my brain thinks it looks like the fungus from The Last of Us. ☠️

Anyways. You may be wondering, "why didn't you do the Shadowhunter gear?" And it's a simple answer... I wanted to see her in a pretty dress. Of course, I could have done the portrait with the maid dress, the middle with her fancy dress, and the second full-body drawing with the gear but I didn't think about that until 10 minutes before posting. 🫠 And that gear is COMPLICATED (Not really, I'm just tired after the dresses).

Imo, he would be an outside party that is not involved with Simon Fairchild’s affairs, but Jon heard of him and met him a couple of times.

When jon finally catches on that something isn’t right, he goes to his place and asks for answers (this would happen around end season 2 probs)

Oh yeah, Madness tumblr, I wanted to write a quick post since I think at least some people would be interested in this idea.

Basically, real simple idea, quick mod, it'll be up on the steam workshop upon completion.

I wanna add some top surgery scars to M:PN. They'll come in the form of body textures (naturally), and be available to throw onto your arena character (or any character, for that matter), inside the loft mirror or through the use of madcard character editing.

I just need someone to draw the textures for me, everything else will be handled by me (namely porting, and some necessary internal code jargon you don't need to worry about.)

The textures will be edits of the main grunt texture.

Here's a few custom body textures that I had made for me a few years ago. Should provide adequate reference to know where the chest area is on these guys. Note it's slightly off to the left, because Krinkels is bad at UV unwraps.

If anyone's interested, you can get the textures to me through discord, or just reply or reblog this post. You'll be credited in the steam workshop upload.

(Also, the main texture, which I forgot before this edit. Probably pretty important to include that one.)

very outdated now but i just got recommended on youtube the vod of that mcc when Etho played for the first time with Scott, Scar and Shane and they all dressed up as Etho for the event, and well, back then i made those skins as a joke on twitter and scott dm'd me to see if i had the files, which i gave to him (they took like 5 minutes to make, it was just copy-pasting so i had no problem on giving away some free skins lol)

the thing is, i didn't add the headband when copy-pasting etho's outfit on everyone else and it happens that scar might have wanted to wear the headband so he edited the skin himself (i'm assuming) and forgot to change the arm color later lmao

Edited the Kamado squad to fit into my Douma adopted Zenitsu au.

In order here is what I changed.

Zenitsu: he is darker in appearance, becoming blasian. He usually is wearing the butterfly girls uniform except in a deep purple, Douma somehow found it for him. He is very sickly from annoyingly eating humans but he's just as cowardly and annoying (lovingly)

Inosuke: he has a bruise on his right eye from him and Zenitsu fighting all the time, he has a bruise on his left arm from fighting with the wild animals on the mountains. He has some scars from fighting. One on his lip, one on his right wrist another on his left arm and the least notable one is his pointer finger on his right hand.

Tanjiro: nothing much changed, he has prayer beads that he wears as bracelets and one that he wears as an earring. These were gifted by Gyomei he also paints his nails pink so his sister won't get insecure about her claws being such a weird pinky color.

Nezuko: her claws are more of a pinky color, she has prayer beads as a necklace and bracelets. Her eyes are more cat-like and like her demon form. She also has an earring.

Kanao: one of her bangs is colored a light pink to a dark pink, also her hair is a gradient going from black to a light pink all the way back to a dark pink. She has freckles, they're mostly on her face but she does get some on her elbows her knees and her knuckles. Her bottom lip is more prominent.

Aoi: same as Kanao except she doesn't have colored hair, she does have a lot less freckles than her since she stays inside. She has eye bags from constantly overworking and calluses on her fingers. In this au she is a travel nurse and is usually with the water hashira since once he doesn't really like taking care of himself.

Mui: He meets Tanjiro and genya a lot earlier and gets his spark back, he paints his nails black.

Genya: I forgot to add it but he has prayer beads that he doesn't take with him a lot since he treasures them. He has earrings that are supposed to look like his brother's eye color, he has a gap tooth and in his human form he has both his fangs and his claws. They're just permanently on him after he transformed the first time.

This is going to be my worst post to date (in my opinion)

But after the anguish and turmoil that has hit Balalaika fans after her appearence in the latest chapter like her lack of muscle/strength that we know she unleashed on Rock, the fading of her scars, and other things I decided to investigate myself to see how much she changed.

The majority of these pictures are from the anime. Sad, I know, and hopefully once I find the direct panel from the manga that mirrors it I will edit or add more to this post.

I will start this by saying that Anime Balalaika is an absolute fucking unit. Like reviewing the pictures I realized that she's built like a very beautiful Russian tank and that is really the best description here.

Do you see what I mean? It's most likely the coat but still, it has to touch her shoulders to even drape.

Although, it depends on the scene as she can be like this too

Her shoulders are less defined and aren't quite as cut as the top ones but her muscle is there at least.

Above is the Virgin Rock as physical comparision

She's obviously fucking built way beyond his physique and she knows it. She corners him in or crosses her arms while his remain at his side as he tries to be unaffected. And honestly, kudos to him. He stood pretty strong in this scene and I think he knew he had to do that to even try and talk on her level.

I mean we've seen what happens when he doesn't. Disclaimers ahead, Rock is in for a rough ride. I on the other hand, laughed my ass off when I took these screenshots.

Also, here is what I personally think went through Balalaika's head in each scene and the progression of it.

Jesus Christ, he's on this bullshit again. Sounds like one of those family dogs I keep having to put down.

Maybe if I make it clear I'm pissed right now he'll have some sense left in him. If he says one more word I am going to make him the hood ornament for the car.

Just looking at this cigarerette is giving me an idea. I could just throw him like I could with this. Sooner or later he'll be stepped on; fire dying out.

% Anger Level - Rage

I'm certain his face will never change in his casket

With one strike I could gouge his eyes out. Maybe then he'll see justice.

Anyway, I must have forgotten just how Balalaika threw Rock since I took those screenshots. I knew that she did it but somehow forgot that she did it with one arm. Or at least how much power she put into flinging him like a ragdoll. LIke she fucking lifted him in the air with one hand and with a single move had him on the hood in split seconds.

Here's a funny picture I caught mid-shot as well

His feet aren't touching the ground. He's fully straight as if he didn't have have a second to take it in, meanwhile his hands are just open and it's like he forgot he was even alive. No doubt, he had a vision that when Balalaika even reached for him that she just punted him to the afterlife.

Meanwhile, I cannot imagine the raw terror Revy must have felt seeing this happen.

She is scared as hell here. Keep in mind that this entire exchange she can't see Balalaika's face or Rock's. Both their backs are to her until Balalaika throws Rock. Still, I doubt that she really could've seen him past Balalaika's frame. Meanwhile, she's probabaly just processing that Balalaika's strong enough to do what she just did. Most likely she already knew she has a lot of physical power, I mean look at her, but this is the first time she's seen it and it happened to the worst person possible.

I can fully say that Balalaika is a fucking beast in hand-to-hand combat with the body to match it. And this is only focusing on her throwing Rock! She already snapped a neck by this point. Rock saw that and again, he does have some courage or maybe stupidity to even do this since he saw that with his own eyes.

Revy hasn't. And I don't think Rock told her, at least not until he knew they were back in Roanapur and safe. He was still traumatized by it too so chances are he is suffering some recurring nightmare of it. To top it off, this event alone was so visceral in his mind that he draws a direct comparaision to Chang, symbolizing how truly helpess he was.

What I've done with her is give her a sculpt (based on F Viera face 4), including the scars as their own parts since her sculpt is symmetrical, and now they cross over her brows and tattoos as well without having to fiddle the textures of those (for that reason, at least; I am going to edit her brows). All of her face textures have also been edited, normal to add her some cheekbone, mask to reduce the shine/glossiness on her lips and around her eyes, and diffuse edits include her nose marking, change her lip color, and add her makeup. I removed the depigmentation from her skin as well, though I already forgot which texture took care of that. Anyway.

And then the hair mashup, obviously, which I haven't polished yet but works well enough already. I edited some highlights on it.

Her eye texture is a tweaked vanilla texture, and the body she has is YAB to give her some Muscle.

Also with a different hairstyle to show her face better.

I recently made a gift for Hocus' birthday and I forgot to post about it here until now! Behold, The Unofficial Unlicensed Talking Magnetic Karl Heisenberg Plush!

I've made dolls like this in the past, and had a pattern for it, but this project took me a while. Partially as he was hand sewn (and hand embroidered) and I have a mild hand tremor, partially because I kept adding stuff to him and making him more detailed as I went along (so much so he was late for birthday, sorry Hocus!) but I'm glad Hocus likes him thats the most important part! He wasn't entirely a surprise because I had said I wanted to make him for them, but I think maybe they weren't expecting how overboard I went on the project (nor was I! I just kept having ideas).

I really wanted to be able to make an alternate outfit for Karl based on a fanfic my friend wrote so I made a base doll body and then made Karl's clothes with a bunch of little buttons and snaps. The shirt buttons are decorative (made of sculpey, I couldn't find small enough regular ones) and it has a hook and loop (velcro) tab on the inside. The pants are a combo of this and some snaps. The belt has snaps but technically works like a real belt and then the undershirt also has snaps as do the "boots". His necklace accessories (sculpey, wire, paint) just tie on and off loosely with strings of embroidery thread. The hat has a cardboard/maskingtape base for shape and just an eyeballed-pattern sewn around it (I think it turned out nice!)

I knew I wanted to add some semi powerful magnets to his hands so he could pick up metal objects because that just MAKES SENSE with Karl's powers. I also made him his hammer (paper mache, paint and sculpey again) and added in a magnet to it's handle (as I wasn't working with actual metal for it lol, but I forgot to photograph it before I sent him off) . But in the process of doing that I realized if I attached some magnets on the inside of his head I could also make glasses that snap on and off, and that solved the issue of them staying in place.

Third feature: HE TALKS! Yes, just as advertised on the box if you squeeze him he says a voice line. Just one voice line really, but it's a long one. I'd argue it's probably the most important line he says in the game that really decides his fate with our protagonist (not in his favour, unfortunately). I used a voice recorder for plush toys that allows up to 20 second recordings. one of the unlisted features is there is a zipper on his back so they can take the recorder out for battery replacement, or to rerecord the message if desired.

POV: you're about to go in the hole (I only took a vid for this in the middle stage lmao). The last part of the manual goes over the alternate outfit and then includes a personal message for Hocus I won't show here. The alt outfit, is like I said before, based on a fanfic. But it's actually the unpublished portion of Hocus' long running fic series so its technically SPOILERS. I may post about it later because I actually tea-dyed fabric while making it and it was a more involved process than expected lmao. I hope you enjoyed reading about all the details of this ridiculous project! Oh! btw the box is actually the box the Chris statue came in for the RE8 collector edition. I bought it a few months ago from ebay (found a good deal!), and inspiration struck when I realized I still had it so thats why Karl got an official looking unofficial box lmao. I just cut chris' face off it for the window haha.

You filed out with your fellow undergrads as your last class for the afternoon let out. the professor's voice offering mention of the end of the first sprint. You traversed amongst the student body's current before veering off to a corridor. The current loosening its grasp the closer you ventured toward the sanctuary of paper and ink.

The buzzing tension of the university campus fading into the background as soon as you crossed the library's threshold. Time seemed to stand still here. Allowing students a temporary respite from the hustle and bustle of dashing from class to class.

While you often sought out the library's plush arm chairs for a lunch hour reading binge, you instead took to the maze of literature and shelving on a mission. Your eyes scanning over the book spines as if it were an inspection. There was good news and bad news.

Good news: you found your quarry with relative ease. Bad news: the universe had found it it fit to to be out of reach as part of its long running joke. You were living in a tall person world, but unfortunately you were lacking in the height department.

You puffed out your cheeks as you sighed. Not a step ladder in sight. Short people problems require short people solutions, so you eyed up a nearby table. The headphone clad co-ed wouldn't mind if you barrowed an empty chair, right?

Your backpack met the floor with a gentle thud. Your hands soon grasped the worn wood as you muscled the commandeered chair against the bookshelf. A silent prayer to the karma gods left your mind as you placed a foot onto the chair followed by the other. So far so good.

Your knees wobbled as you straightened up to stand. A curse leaving your lips. The pads of your middle and ring fingers barely gracing the spine. Your kingdom for just a few more inches. Teeth captured your bottom lip as you tempted fate. One foot leaving your platform as you attempted to stretch towards your prize.

Whether it was the chair finally giving out after its years of service or your own shaky unsteadiness, did not matter as you entered free fall with a yelp. Your eyes pinched closed, bracing for impact...which was still firm, yet had more give than the floor. And the library floors certainly did not smell of sandalwood.

“You alright?”

A pair of eyes met yours. A scar along the side of his face with its tendrils inching towards the center.

You nodded, still taking in the sheer size of his frame. His hands still enveloping your shoulders.

“Took a bit of a tumble there. Should be careful about climbing up on things.”

“Yeah, I was just..”

Your eyes flicked back to the book still in its place, silently mocking.

“Oh,” He answered following your line of sight, “Want some help?”

The wave of heat washing over you was just delayed embarrassment from the fall...hopefully. Unable to find the words, you nodded once more. His answering smile doing nothing to ease your hammering heart rate.

Once you were set back on your own two feet, your good Samaritan reached up grasping the book you pointed out to him. Your eyes straying to observe the way the muscles of his back rippled as he reached up. If you were a pre-med, you could probably use him as a way to memorize muscle groups.

Your concentration broken when he turned to you, book in hand. His eyes seemed to scan over the title before offering it out.

“Must be pretty smart if you're looking at programming.”

You huffed a laugh, “Hope so, although my class workload has me questioning.”

His free hand reached back to cradle his neck, “It's not my strength, but my brother does a lot of it.”

It may have been a trick of the fluorescent lights, but you swore there was the slightest hint of pink dusting his cheeks.

“That would be great to pick someone's brain,” You gushed, “but...maybe I could..you know thank you.”

Your fingers brushed against his as you grabbed up the offered object.

“There's this little dive joint just off campus.” You explained, taking his budding grin as a yes.

As you two set off towards the librarian's counter, you offered your name.

“Wrecker.” He answered, adjusting his stride to keep pace.

first of all let me say that i have been able to play only his first interaction-- where he does that story about the lambs and the village after kidnapping your beautiful platonic wife. this is all based on all the possible info i could find through story and dialogue publicly available online. :3

everything (and it's a lot) under the cut v

we'll start with

1-- PHYSICAL APPEARANCE/FEATURES

this is the one i currently have the most fleshed out for.

[ID: on the left, there's a traced sketch of a wuwa screenshot of scar. it's been edited heavily and stylized to fit the attributes listed to the right of it. the list starts with a heading of MOST, under which is listed hooded eyes, cowlicks, lazy scar eye (and in parenthises, prosthetic with a question mark), black lipstick, smile lines, lip cleft, dimples, and nerve damage/unresponsive tissue. then under that is a heading that says "Less", under which is listed ponytail..., lashes, stretched piercing holes, and brow shape. END ID]

i stand by this list draft, with the only exception being the hooded eyes. in practice, the eyes i draw him with have monolids. i would add a few things to the list now-- we'll get to that. i'll start by explaining each of these choices, in detail.

EYES

this one... i just felt it in my soul. there's nothing more to it than that. but in practice, when drawing him, i want to mention that i do try to make it stay somewhat loyal to his eye shape from in-game model.

demonstrated above-- i wanted to keep that kind of shape that felt correct for him, which softening it up. his in-game model eyes are almost predatory, which is interesting, considering his story.

so if you look at his model hair, it's very Anime Boy Spiky, which is silly, but i just kept getting draw back to the shapes of it, and... i just think it's really silly. look at him.

LOOK AT HIM. i know it's typical anime boy gravity defying hair but. to me, that is so so silly. so in my headcanons, i kept the energy in that he has some cowlicks in the front of his hair that he CANNOT for the life of him style away, that curl the hair right out to the sides in a way that looks ridiculous when his hair is too long or too short-- he had to learn to work with it. it's sosososo silly to me AGRGRHRGRH

yeah i had to edit the left cowlick in cuz i forgot it... still. illustrated by above, his cowlicks are very noticable and he has to work to make them work with the rest of his hair, which is very wavy. they still look a little ridiculous sometimes.

BONUS about his hair:

if you look at him and his hair... you give that shit 2 or 3 weeks, maybe 4, and that is a full-blown bonafide mullet. i love that so dearly. i think he just Has a mullet, but he wears it in a scraggly-ass little ponytail. to keep it off his neck.

LAZY SCAR EYE

we're at the point now where i've realized this is going to be a doozy of a post. yay. ANYWAY.

with this, i'm going off the logic that scar has not one but TWO scars over his right eye. the first looks like a nasty burn, and covers a large portion of that side of his face, and the second could be a lot of things, but the most important thing is that it goes STRAIGHT through his eye.

it's highly likely that that eye is no longer responsive or functional. so i draw it as a lazy eye that never follows the same direction as his good eye, usually resting in a forward position.

BLACK LIPSTICK

i liked it. i thought it was very him. he's a diva boything he needs to slay

you can see it in all these drawings, but for those using ids/screenreaders, he has black lipstick on only his top lip, kinda reminiscent of shego.

SMILE LINES/DIMPLES

i'm grouping these together.

anyway, scar is a guy who smiles a LOT. i mean we've only gotten to see him while he's in his element at work, but he SMILES. and yes when we see it it's frequently somewhat crazed and evil-looking, but i think the smiles are a HIM thing. i think he's a smiley guy. i think he's got smile lines and dimples that accentuate his smile a lot. (this comes back into play when i talk about his expressions later.)

LIP CLEFT

this is mostly me headcanoning that the scar goes through his eye AND the left of his mouth because yeah, and it takes a chunk of flesh out of his bottom lip that's very noticable. it's entirely a personal headcanon cuz Yeah

NERVE DAMAGE/UNRESPONSIVE TISSUE

this is essentially a personal headcanon that he has nerve damage (and associated chronic pain, but that's for later) from the burn (?) scar on the left of his face, and as a result, that side of his face doesn't emote nearly as much-- somewhat reminiscent of a stroke victim. whenever i draw him, the left of his face is somewhat slack-- all his smiles are lopsided, and whenever his face scrunches in any way, it's uneven.

STRETCHED PIERCING HOLES

he's got big ass gold earrings he wears ALL THE TIME ALL DAY EVERY DAY. no way he wears those heavy things regularly and his piercing holes aren't even a little stretched out. i think he could comfortably fit a 6-8G plug in those holes. (truthfully that's one of my favorite things to draw about him.... idk why)

You can really tell how Jojo was waiting for this latest episode with the release of tension 'cause not only is it quite long but this many people in this many shots with this many difficult angles, expressions etc is something you save for the big moment.

Also I can't tell if the pointed focus on hands (scarred/marked hands) is a show of skill or meant to mean something, because I'm pretty sure this is the first time we've seen some of their Triforce marks and it's definitely the first we've seen Wars's scarred hands in detail

Edit: I forgot to add that I think Jojo did a fantastic job and I adore her skill with framing and direction and lighting and also hands and expression and nuance etc
