エドブラックの最新アルバム『2010ミックステープ』を約一週間遅れで手に入れてさっそく聴いてみました。

3曲目の"All Me"で珍しくサンタナ風なギターソロが出てきてビックリしましたが、全体の印象としては過去作よりラップ・ボーカルが増えたかな⁉︎

どうやらアルバムタイトルの"2010"というのはエドブラックが音楽を学んでいた大学生時代の2010年のことで、だから本作は原点回帰したヒップホップ・オマージュ曲が多いとのこと。

だからなのかタイトル曲"2010"はJ・ディラ風ブーンバップが中間に出てきてニンマリ！

どの曲もクールなヒップホップ系ですが、今のところメロウな9曲目"Symbols"が一番好きです♪

7曲目のボサな"Lena"と、11曲目のヌジャベスぽい曲"Tokyo"のネオ・ソウル風ギターソロも好きです♪

"Lena"のギターソロはエドブラック自身が弾いていて"Tokyo"は磯貝一樹さんがゲストでギターソロを弾いています。

Lo-fiヒップホップ系やフューチャーソウル系を色々聴いてると"Tokyo"という曲名がしょっちゅう登場しますが、そろそろ誰か"Osaka"て曲目付けてくれないかな？

日本盤の帯に書かれている

「メロウなヴァイヴスでチルなフロウを聴かせる」という絶妙にダサい表現がクセになります。

昨年も紹介しました。このedbl（エドブラック）。サウス・ロンドンから登場した才能で、今最も注目すべきのトラックメイカーでありギタリストの一人です。

本作はそのedblが、様々なアーティストとのコラボレートするプロジェクト“edbl & friends”のニュー・リリースで、キーボーディスト／プロデューサーのJamie Parkerによるプロジェクト”JPRK”（すみません。存���上げません💦）とのコラボ・アルバムです。

前作はヴォーカルをフィーチャーしたアルバムでしたが、本作は全てがインストゥルメンタル。ソウルフルで、ジャジーで洗練された極上のチルアウトです。ローファイでスウィートで、とにかくカッコいいサウンドは、メロウの権化（なんだそりゃ）といえましょう。心地よさのツボ（あっちの壺じゃないよ）を押されているようで、これはちょっと気持ち良すぎるではありませんか。
