rekrap looks human, but is really nowhere near human. he is some sort of ancient eldritch creature that dragged himself out of the void for the start of echocraft and has just been hanging around branzy since.

what's your royal au about? (premise, setting, characters, whatever you want to talk about)

GAHHHH ANON I LOVE U SLASH PLATONIC. OK RAMBLE UNDER THE CUT

so, basic premise: zam is the prince of a still unnamed kingdom, and he's heir to the throne. he has a sister, delilah. zam's childhood best friend is pangi, a village boy he would sneak out to see and spend time with! he would bring him food and gifts and whatever else he could, because the village is mostly on the poorer side. that upsets zam and delilah, obviously, but their parents r very mehh and aren't the best at caring for their people, but the prince and princess do enough good deeds that the people aren't super upset about it!

there's this scraggly group of village kids who get together one day, and decide hey, we don't want to be poor anymore. we don't want to have to rely on the good deeds of the prince and princess to survive. this group is composed of mapicc, a tiefling that saws off his own horns to try and look more human, a boy named parrot, who was training to be a knight, a kid named ro, a spellcaster in training. he's an elf! there's another boy, named spoke, who's apart of this group. he's studying necromancy under vitalasy, a high level mage who works for a guild with oasis, a shapeshifter. they do a lot of healing work.

anyway, this group of kids call themselves the leviathan. they decide that their goal is to topple the kingdom, and they want to start with the prince, the heir to the throne.

so they attempt to "kill" him. this happens while zam is in the village, unguarded — he doesn't like being surrounded by guards, he doesn't like having to rely on others like that, feeling weak and like he's dragging them down — besides, he's plenty capable himself.

but he makes a near fatal mistake. walks down the wrong alleyway, and brushes past a hooded tiefling. and this tiefling stabs him in the stomach, blood on his hands, and taunts zam. it's a power move, it's not to kill him, not yet. it's to get into his head. tell the people that the leviathan is rising, that they are capable of killing the prince. after this, zam and delilah are assigned knights, personal guards to follow them wherever, protect them with their lives. the leviathan only let zam live because they could kill him, and they wanted to send a message. and oh, the message was sent.

delilah ends up with reddoons, and they get along pretty well. and zam? he ends up with subz. subz is highly skilled and originally takes the job for the gold. that's what he tells everyone, anyway. but he cares for the prince. he cares about protecting him, so he swears his life to protecting him.

branzy is a tinkerer who lives in a kingdom a little far off. midmystic is the ruler of this one, but branzy gets bored. he's been exchanging letters with his best friend rek, a pirate, for years, and once he gets word that rek's crew, and their ship, the echocraft, will be docking at mid's kingdom, he arranges to see his best friend again. he meets chief, the captain of the crew rek is apart of, and they get a little too drunk and end up getting married. whoops!

clownpierce is the court jester, but also the kingdom executioner. he does bounty work in his spare time. he's extremely good at it. people theorize that he is not entirely human.

ivorycello is a monster slayer/bounty hunter. she works off and on with clownpierce. she's known as the "god-slayer" for rumors that she killed a deity, something she's never confirmed nor denied. she finds it funny that people have made themselves that scared of her.

Anon you are a godsend. Ok. Listen. Minecraft death mechanics are one of the most Mechanics of all time in terms of character exploration. Here's what i want you to consider: Branzycraft is in the extreme other axis that of not caring for death at all and even encouraging it. His death means nothing! He doesn't fear dying, or the implications, or the pain, or the thought of it. What he is scared of is the after, the consequences that bites him in the ass, or a setback to a plan he has in motion, and many more. Continue below read more.

See echocraft. Branzy proclaims in his powder snow maze video: the gift for the winner of my maze is a chance at killing me! Isn't that fun? Surely you want to play my games and my traps if at the end you get to kill the one behind it all! And it works! He always offers something for incentive, for people to play his games and his schemes, and his life is simply just one of those incentives he's not above offering. After all, its just for fun! It's worth it to die if it means people have fun with his contraptions! In fact, isn't it thrilling? Having the knowledge that if any of these people pass, you'll be killed? How exciting, playing with his own life like he does to others! The danger is the entertainment, and he can't always get so lucky. But death doesn't matter now, does it? He'll just come back, all peachy, and then begins his next quest on amusing himself somehow.

Which brings us to lifesteal. The thing is, in SMPs, Branzy does not like dying when he did not plan for it somehow. He'd rather not die? Like, it would be a pretty big inconvenience, isn't it? Especially in lifesteal where your hearts literally Gets Stolen Away from you (or just. Extinguish away in the case of non-player deaths). Like. Its a pain! But he does not fear death like other people do, because he doesn't exactly fear death at all, he just finds it real annoying. He likes things going to plan, even though it rarely does, but this is One thing he can make sure Does Not Happen. Do you Get me.

In My view of Branzycraft, he's a bit of a lunatic that enjoys the thrill of danger, playing with lives both his and others. Why do you think he is so attracted to Clownpierce out of everyone else? He's deadly! And he keeps him on his toes that every day is never so dull! Eventually this morphs into a more tame feeling of [QUEERBAITING], but Branzy is a showman first and foremost, and I like thinking that the personalities he exhibits of video is showmanship. It makes him interesting. Branzycraft, traitor and coward, possibly something more? Powerful somehow because of his lack of fear surrounded by those way better at fighting than he is as he leans to trickery and traps to get the better of them in his own way? Everybody likes branzycraft! He sucks at fighting, you wouldn't fight him would you? Hes so easy to kill! So step into this death trap and you'll get yourself a heart!

Of Course though. This is just one interpretation of a character played by a Minecraft Youtuber that can also be interpreted in a different hundred ways..... Its what makes character analysis interesting! I like the idea of "Branzy who chases the thrill of danger and death while trying miserably to avoid unnecessary risks posed by dying" because its fun, comical, and it poses interesting thoughts and scenarios: what if he plans to die? The plan involves him Dying, would he take it? (He would. See: obsidian box) How far does his tolerance of death stretches? Truly the characters of Minecraft Youtubers are an interesting species.....

yeah i found out about the leaving thing from one of myles' videos on his second channel. he said something about season 2 being more focused around a close-knit group of friends rather than many people because it got overwhelming i think. so some members like razmoose and baconwaffles0 and (extremely unfortunately) astelina and tazoh aren't gonna be back :( there's a list on the official outcasts smp twitter account of the members who are staying if you want to know more

btw i checked astelina's community posts on her channel and she said she's now in a permanent smp so i'm excited to see how it goes :)

i've actually really been meaning to watch all of the echocraft videos! i've only really watched a handful. i'm currently watching lifesteal because i never finished it, but i'll definitely try binging echocraft next!! also i'm pretty sure the donkey one was echocraft! it was so fun and i loved detective myles

it's completely understandable that there's other stuff you're into at the moment, and you dont have to feel pressured to watch chief's outcasts videos. still, if you do get around to it i really hope you enjoy them!

Echocraft is awesome! If i'm being honest, I never totally watched it all the way through, mostly just clicked on whatever video popped up on my FYP. Detective Myles was such a funny bit.

Lifesteal! < I'm a big Lifesteal fan. Which season are you watching? I stopped watching sometime around season 4 but I do enjoy going back and rewatching season 2 + 3. What can I say? The Poggies and the MOB are some of my favourite teams, even if they come from season 2 lol!

Don't worry about, no pressure at all! I love Chief's content either way, so watching Outcasts from him will be a fun experience!

I've been meaning to write content for Oucasts for a while now, but ideas are lacking lol. At the moment I've just been brainstorming headcanons for the characters. Still, i've got the beginnings of a fic starting to form, so hopefully Outcasts should have one more fic by the end of the year :D (does Outcasts even have any fics? I can't remember if it does..)

There is often infighting, however that is often quickly solved and everyone is back to normal within a few months. Codenames/masks are not always in use, and most of the group do not care if the city knows who they are ---The RATS: A small group of vigilantes that are mostly passive, staying hidden in a secret hideout in an unknown location. They all have rat themed get up, but rarely hide their faces. Other Info: This city is fairly new to the hero/villain system, and as such as not put once in place. It is unknown if a system will be put in place or not (due to LifeSteal's members often changing sides or everybody being in a middle ground).

anyways. everybody everywhere is Wrong about him except me (/nsrs /lh). i may have moved on from lifesteal but i will Always talk about branzy. for anyone who may be reading this. starting off with the basics: Who Is Branzy??

Branzy is a Youtuber who uploads videos of challenges and SMPS. He plays on Lifesteal, which you may have heard of, as well as a server called Echocraft. Both are a ton of fun on their own and I can totally tell you all about either of them if you're curious.

Now. WHY should you watch Branzy? WELL, my friend-

do you enjoy fast-paced, narrative focused videos on SMPS with colorful casts of players and lots of friendly pranks and interactions? Then Branzy is your guy!! His videos are SUPER engaging-

(sidenote: adhders please go watch ashswag he is LITERALLY like adhd catnip. my partner and i both have adhd and both love ashswag. like his videos are LITERALLY condensed adhd /pos. i promise you won't regret it)

-and back to Branzy, his videos usually focus around a central narrative, which I find really engaging and fun!

Also, Branzy is SUPER clever!! He's very good with traps (not that they always work, of course) and comes up with very very fun and interesting ways to trick his friends! He's a notorious trickster and especially on Echocraft, he's known for always having a trick up his sleeve! Just go watch this video, in which he reverse-psychology's Rekrap, the player most well-known for escaping EVERY trap ever, into falling for his rigged house!

Some other fun things about him:

i’d also like to mention branzycraft lp & branzy’s echocraft season 2. honestly ec2 in generally feels p underrated but branzycraft lp & branzy’s ec2 have lore & they are directly connected plot-wise. the lores really good also. btw. i don’t want to get too into it to avoid spoiling things but if anyone wants to hear more you can ask me. or like look in the branzy tag on my blog i think i’ve talked about it a little. but like not that much. ffeel free to ask me about it .
