I originally just started making a bunch of little mushrooms, but then I figured they needed something to be held in. So here’s a mushroom bag full of mushrooms. 

The caps of the mushrooms have been crocheted with a rounded piece and a flat circular piece underneath. The stems were made with a small four-peg knitting loom. 

The pouch is made from regular brown fabric, with some mossy-looking fabric that was just leftover scraps I had. Then my sister gave me the idea to add some shelf fungi. Those were made by crocheting a few chains over eachother into a sort of shallow, rounded half oval shape. I made two halves for each shelf mushroom, the brown top part and the lighter bottom part, then I sewed them together and onto the pouch. ⚘ ❀ ⚘ ✿ ⚘ ❀ ⚘ ✿ ⚘ ❀ ⚘ ✿ ⚘ ❀ ⚘

Wheat and lavender taken at Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay. I often use them for backgrounds as winter collects its white shawl, smiling at spring, who’s waiting in the wings.

That something I was drawn to chanterelles, they are always so easy and enjoyable to embroider, and so recently thought of a knitted bag, very voluminous and roomy! 🦊
