Seeing Crosshair's helmet in the Tales of the Empire opening just reminded me that it was left behind in Tantiss, along with Hunter, Wrecker & Echo's. Their gear is the last to be discarded of Clone Force 99 so they can be free to choose their new path.

It's the literal shedding of skin. From losing their job, their purpose, their ship, their colors, their armor. Then comes the rebirth.

Okay so theory time

If we don’t get anymore Rex, Echo, Wolffe, or Cody in the last three Bad Batch episodes…

Then perhaps that means they’re saving these for Tales of the Clones. And that they’ll announce that series after The Bad Batch series finale. Those would be perfect episode ideas.

Rex: how he established his underground network to save clones who wanted to ditch the Empire

Echo: his work with Rex and perhaps detail why he isn’t in Rebels, Rex may well have left him in charge of the network after retiring.

Wolffe: how he came to leave the Empire and join Rex. I see this being a considerably more complicated thing than him simply meeting up with Rex again one time.

Cody: what happened after he left Crosshair and went AWOL?!

All of these would be good episodes, there is more than enough material available for writers as well.
