When I feel lonely, I feel like I'm missing connections. Connections to people or things I love. Newsies has this great song, sung by a young Christian Bale (yep, the Dark Knight himself) called Santa Fe. In it he processes his feelings of being alone after seeing his friend as part of a family, and holds on to his dream of having a place he belongs. His character is nicknamed the Cowboy so country style outfit it is. Yes Horse Ranch would be on brand... but I don't have Horse Ranch. So Adam's look is cobbled together from various places.

Getting spoiled by the level of detail in this game.

I tormented myself until 4AM by trying different iterations of actions at the fortress here. I was curious to see if there were any changes or things I hadn't done in EA. I normally just do anything the myconids want on Fe, so I hadn't realized you could fight the duergar first to ensure the gnomes can escape and also have some more options in conversation with Nere I hadn't seen before. 🤔 I was playing with the idea of attempting to play along with him to better infiltrate the cult, but probably won't settle on that option bc it feels dissatisfying and also literally getting no immediate resolution of several quest-line goals (myconid request or saving the gnomes). Might do that on my next playthrough though!

Fe might tend towards survival and cunning on a more neutral level than I initially considered from how I've played her so I'm leaning towards the option where you detect his thoughts on Lloth and he goes back to warn the drow of the mindflayers. I think she's focusing on having groups owe her favors. Not sure if that will actually pay off tho.

Also I was curious about what Philomeen intended to do with that powder in the city.... Saying she's a freedom fighter on the right side of history is so vague and there are so many influences and factions of extremists and cults idek what she's connected to theoretically. I ended up stealing it and probably won't use it just in case I can give it to her or someone I want to when I get there, but here's hoping I don't regret that later. 🙃
