EARTH X

Earth X began in 1997 when Wizard magazine asked Alex Ross to create a possible dystopian future for Marvel. Ross designed a future where all ordinary humans had gained superpowers, and he examined how some of the most well-known Marvel characters (including Spider-Man, Captain America and the Incredible Hulk) would manage a world where their superhero powers had now become commonplace. The issue of Wizard that contained the Ross article sold out rapidly. Demand was so extensive that in 1999 (in affiliation with Marvel), they republished the article as the Earth X Sketchbook, which also sold out. Based on this indicator of fan interest, Marvel commissioned Ross to create a full series based on his notes.

Also known as Earth-X. A reality 30 years in the future where the entire world has mutated due to the release of Terrigen Mists into the air. Uatu, the now blind Watcher, recruits Aaron Stack to be his eyes and inform him of what is happening on Earth. Home to May Parker (Venom).

Fellas meet the Peter Parker of Earth-9997 (Earth-X). Basically he was the Spider-Cop BEFORE Spider-Cop. The entire story that he’s involved in is pretty interesting and I would rather have you guys do your own research on this storyline, I’m mainly here to point this out.

Yes, Disney does not care. Shalla-Bal (Earth-9997 from the Earth X series and sequel series) had 5 appearances. Norrin Radd (Earth-9997) had 16 appearances.

In the same way Jackson based Nick Fury & Agent Coulson invaded 616 comics, I suspect Shalla-Bal Silver Surfer will also invade 616 comics. There's definitely going to be a bunch of new retcons to bring her back from the dead again.

I for one am very upset that the new Silver Surfer doesn't have a vagina when he's supposed to not have a penis.

What do you think about dark version of Clea in Earth-9997. Do you think she was totally controlled or just did what she wanted to do?

To be completely honest with you, I haven't read Earth-X yet 💀 I'm not that interested in alternate realities unless they have a nice theme going on, like 1602 or Demon Days. This is why I tend to avoid Ultimates as well. I know what Clea did there but I don't want to give my two cents on things I haven't read yet just because I read a marvel wiki article, I don't feel it's enough to formulate an opinion. My apologies, tho! All I know is that Jed and Marcelo were inspired by Clea's Earth-X design for her Sorcerer Supreme uniform but this is all I know from that reality haha sorry...
