Well… okay so I don’t actually feel that bad. Not even in a “just disappointed way”. Becuase it’s been coming.

Spurs was okay, Bromley we could excuse it as the non starting 11 and it turns out a player was injured (how I haven’t missed that particular special feeling.) but Wolves were unlucky cause that was a shaky game and NUFC got shanked and frankly outmanaged.

I knew it would be Bournemouth. It’s not the weight of expectations or streaks. Eddie sold his soul to the River Witch that found Jason.

It sounds pretty strange that Death Valley might soon become too hot to open for visitors...

But, the hottest place on Earth keeps hitting record temps every year now!

What's worse is that these high temps are spreading outside of the area!!

This kind of heat is a well known killer of normal folk like you or me...

Every year, the high temps basically smother many, mostly poor people.

And, that's in places that are usually far from Death Valley - where you can literally cook to death...

It's high time that Big Oil pays for the deadly side effects of their main product - gasoline.

Or, stops pumping it - something that's quite impossible for them to contemplate!

So, expect worse heatwaves, more deaths - human, plant & animal!!

Hopefully, some of the scientific work been done, will find a non-polluting answer to our most 'suicidal' problem.

01. what’s something you read recently and enjoyed? while i was on holiday last month i read 2 mystery/thriller books that were fun "beach" reads! one was the it girl by ruth ware, which is about a woman re-investigating the murder of her best friend and oxford roommate almost a decade ago after the man who was convicted of her killing dies and questions start to arise. it was a fun, easy read that i devoured on my flight over to dublin.

the other book was two nights in lisbon by chris pavone, which is about a woman on vacation in lisbon with her husband who goes missing and all that unfolds after she tries to report it to the police and what it unearths about their pasts.

both books have similar structures, in that you're reading the main character in the present while big chunks (or, in the case of the it girl, every other chapter) is set in the past so you're following two different timelines concurrently.
