Foreign meddling attempts didn't change who won the last two federal elections in Canada, but may have changed the result in one B.C. riding in 2021, according to a public inquiry that concluded Friday.
The inquiry was launched in January after being triggered by media reports last which, citing unnamed security sources and classified documents, accused China of interfering in the 2019 and 2021 federal elections.
A preliminary report by commissioner Marie-Josée Hogue releaed Friday said the extent of the impact of foreign interference is unknown, though the number of races involved is small.
"The ultimate effects of foreign interference remain uncertain," she said in her interim report. [...]

More than 20 people have been kicked out of the state’s emergency migrant-family shelter program in recent months for “inappropriate actions,” the Herald has learned.
The Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities recently sent 22 “separation from household” letters to those in the Emergency Assistance family shelter program — expelling them while referring them to individual adult homeless shelters.
The Herald obtained these ejection letters through a public records request after finding out that a 29-year-old man was reportedly booted from a hotel housing migrant families in Marlboro, as a 16-year-old girl staying at the hotel got a restraining order against him.
Of the 22 recent “separation from household” letters, 21 of them cited “inappropriate actions” in the migrant-family shelter program.
“The reason for the separate placement of (redacted name) is that it has come to our attention that you have taken some inappropriate actions that raise some concerns for the safety of the families currently in the EA program,” reads the boilerplate letter from Chris Thompson, undersecretary in the state’s Division of Housing Stabilization.
“These actions suggest a background that is not suitable for a program that house families,” the letter continues. “… I authorize (redacted name) to be referred separately to an individual adult homeless shelter. A list of individual adult homeless shelters is attached to this letter.”
The explanation for the 22nd person’s removal was blacked out.
“The reason for the separate placement of (redacted name) is based on (redacted),” that letter reads.
The emergency shelter system in Massachusetts houses more than 7,500 families, including migrants from other countries and local residents.
“This is very concerning,” Jessica Vaughan, of the Center for Immigration Studies, told the Herald about the number of people being kicked out of the family shelter program.
“It’s concerning for the communities where these people have been placed, and it’s concerning for the other migrants who are in these shelters,” Vaughan added. “When you have an open door policy at the border and a welcome mat in Massachusetts, you’re asking for problems.”
She noted that the border is so overwhelmed that federal authorities are not able to conduct meaningful vetting.
“They cannot be confident they’re identifying people who will cause problems when they get to their destinations,” Vaughan said.
When it comes to the separation letters referring people to individual adult homeless shelters, the state is “kicking the can down to somebody else,” she said.
“They should be reported to ICE, and ICE should be removing them,” Vaughan added.
After receiving the list of separation letters, the Herald reached out to Gov. Maura Healey’s administration about the safety and security of the shelter program.
“The safety and wellbeing of families in the Emergency Assistance program is a priority for the Administration,” said a spokesperson for the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities.
“EA residents are required to adhere to shelter rules and violation of these rules may result in termination from the EA program,” the state spokesperson added.
People who have received separation letters have been removed from the EA program due to violating the uniform shelter rules.
A few months ago, a migrant was accused of raping a disabled girl at a local shelter. The migrant child rape case involving 26-year-old Cory Alvarez sparked a Congressional inquiry and led to more Republican-fueled criticism of the emergency shelter system in Massachusetts.
Alvarez, a national from Haiti, is accused of raping a 15-year-old disabled girl at a state-run shelter in Rockland. He has been indicted by a Plymouth County grand jury for the alleged child rape at the shelter.
Alvarez, who entered the U.S. lawfully through a federal program and underwent two state sex offender checks, was found dangerous in March. He remains held without bail.
He was screened and vetted against national security and public safety databases when he entered the U.S. and no “derogatory information” was found, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
The Herald has been seeking information on the 29-year-old man being kicked out of the Holiday Inn in Marlboro, which has been providing shelter to 149 families.
When the Herald reached out to Marlboro Police about the man, a police spokesperson said, “We are unable to provide these reports due to an ongoing investigation involving a juvenile.”
When the Herald reached out to Marlboro District Court about the restraining order involving the man, a court spokesperson said the matter was impounded and not available for the public. Was this impounded because the restraining order involves a minor?
“Abuse preventions orders are public record unless a judge impounds them,” a court spokesperson responded. “We cannot give you any information about why the order was impounded.”

So, I hate to be negative on the feed (again), but I do think it's about time I draw some boundaries here in terms of my ask box and DMs.
I understand the excitement for mods, even though I just do small things like hair ports and maybe the occasional 3D edit, I always appreciate the enthusiasm for when I am getting ready to put something out. I work hard putting stuff out as fast as I can for as many folks as I can so no one is left out.
But I also do this as a hobby. I'm not of the bigger modders who do this for income/profit (save for the once in a blue moon mod I put out for EA to help pad my finances when money is tight), so I don't work on a schedule like they do, nor do I have an exact plan of what I want to do.
I just kinda go into mod work with a "do I have the spoons and motivation to work". I pick and choose my projects based on what interests me and what I have the energy for. And again: I understand the want to get something done and released so you have something to use.
But please, do not come into my DMs, my inbox, etc, asking me when I am planning on working on a mod, if I can do ports for [x] hair(s), etc.
I apologize for my possibly harsh wording, but I do feel like I need to draw a bit of a boundary line somewhere. It's one thing if you DM me or send me an ask to kinda report an issue with one of my mods (that's fine, because I know I am difficult to get ahold of), because it's letting me know that something is wrong that I need to fix.
But please, just don't use my inbox as an inquiry line of when I will be working on what mod, if I plan on it, etc. I work on things when I am able and willing.
Thank you, however, for your support and understanding. TLDR: My inbox and DMs are not meant for "when are you gonna work on this mod" or "can you port this hair for this/these races", please stop using them to do so. I mod when I have the time/energy, not when someone asks me to.

featuring: mark, doyoung, johnny, jaehyun
summary — you take a little vacation with 127 by the beach, cameras off. the chaos ensuing includes a lot of your screaming, some gambling, more drinking (and crying), and an unfortunate sunburn
dedications: @hyckstarr you said you want to see doyoung get dunked by 127? too bad dy is too smart to let that happen so ig you'll have to settle for 127 getting dunked by doyoung
a/n: i love this lemonade stand line (do they have a name?). vaguely inspired by my once-in-a-lifetime experience of getting intentionally capsized on the banana boat. it was a RIDE
part ii . part iii.
THE ALARM HAD BEEN IRRITATINGLY LOUD that morning, but still you had awoken with a smile and a chirpy attitude, rousing everyone from their sleep so they could get changed and go for breakfast.
The vacation that the managers had planned for NCT 127 only consisted of meals for the group, and a curfew for sleeping (this was probably so they could fix their messed-up sleep schedule).
You called dibs on the toilet, and Mark—whom you were sharing a room with—was happy to have a few more minutes of shut-eye while you got changed, then you came out and went about knocking on the two doors on each side of your room, where Doyoung and Jaehyun, and Johnny and Haechan were rooming together.
The ten of you—nine members of NCT 127 and you—had been split into two groups, and you had taken the lead, determined to make sure your group was going to have way more fun than the other group.
This included coming up with activities and making sure the boys adhered to the itinerary in your head, in order to effectively make use of time instead of lazing about for the entire duration of the trip.
When they were all changed, you called Doyoung, Jaehyun and Johnny over to your room and insisted that they all apply generous amounts of sunblock.
Johnny had given you a flirtatious smile and peeled off his shirt, gesturing to his back. “I can’t reach,” he said, knowing full well that you knew his shoulders were flexible enough to reach every centimetre of his back. “Can you do it for me?”
You’d thrown the bottle at his head, smacking him right in the forehead. Both his pride and his face were bruised, and he rubbed tenderly at the spot where you had hit him with the sunblock, subdued.
By the time you had finished eating breakfast and placed your wallets and phones in a ziplock bag and invited one of the managers to come supervise your little excursion, it was already eight thirty, and the sun was blazing high in the sky.
It wasn’t even midday, yet it was already scorching hot. You were extremely grateful that you'd taken the time that morning to slather yourself in sunblock, because if you hadn't, you were sure you would be sporting a reddish suntan after that.
Mark and Doyoung had smartly chosen to dress in long sleeves, although they were wearing trunks, so if they hadn’t properly applied sunblock like you’d advised, they might still see an angry tan line on the middle of their thighs when they left the beach.
Johnny and Jaehyun, on the other hand, were bare-chested, and though you did wonder if that was a good decision on their part, you definitely appreciated the view.
You and Doyoung had kindly offered to walk ahead and scout the beach to find some form of entertainment, while the rest of the group leisurely strolled to the beach that you were headed to.
They had taken it very seriously, slowing their pace to almost a crawl, as you and Doyoung sped up in the direction of your destination.
You could see some boats rocking on the water, and it felt like that was exactly what you were there for. Extremely excited by the prospect of going banana-boating, you dragged Doyoung over to the people lazing by their motorboats, and forced him to ask about how it worked.
His polite inquiry yielded the information that one boat ride cost 10,000 Korean won, and four boat rides went for 35,000. Thrilled, you quickly discussed with Doyoung and came to the unanimous decision that you would take the deal for four rides.
You left Doyoung to settle the deal, so eager to tell the others what you had planned for them that you didn't hear what Doyoung asked the person as you rushed off.
If Johnny hadn’t matched your energy in encouraging Mark and Jaehyun to come onto the banana boat with you and Doyoung, you don’t think that they would have come. The most likely scenario would be you, Johnny and maybe Doyoung would go for a few rides, and Mark and Jaehyun would watch the three of you, from the comfort of the shade, and occasionally take a video of some clumsy idiot falling off.
Luckily, your personal hype man, Johnny, was working wonders in convincing Mark and Jaehyun. By the time you led them to the beach, you found Doyoung waiting by a banana boat that was already hooked to a motorboat.
The wooden steps that you had to climb down were slippery, but all of the boys were absolutely ready to help you get down, and Jaehyun wrapped his hands around your waist so that you could comfortably lower yourself onto the boat.
Once everyone was ready to go, the motor revved, and you found yourselves bumping along as the motorboat sped across the open ocean. Despite your collective attempts at persuasion, the manager had been too hesitant to get on the banana boat with you.
“I’ll see you guys go on it first and decide later, and I’ll take care of your belongings,” she said. Eventually, you guys accepted it and set off.
Mark could be heard yelling over the roar of the engine, and you watched as Johnny lazily dipped his toes in the water, extending his long legs and stretching out his arms, casually flexing his torso.
When you felt like you had come a long way from the shore, you decided to try a little daredevil move and copy Johnny’s move at the start, letting both of your hands go from the handle. Your knees invariably tightened around the sides of the boat, the muscles in your legs clenching as you held on tightly with your lower body.
Just at that moment, the boat made a sharp turn, and you noticed a glint in Doyoung’s eye. He reached over from behind and pushed you into the ocean, and you screamed “Fuck!” loudly as you slipped from the boat.
Your left hand grabbed the handle quickly before you fell completely in the water, and you looked up and saw Jaehyun looking straight into your eyes. He hesitated for a moment, getting an odd look in his eyes.
That creeped you out for a second until he grabbed your hand and you sighed in relief. Johnny was holding in his laughter after hearing you curse, and Mark just looked extremely shocked.
“Y/n, how could you say that?”
You scoffed. “Big talk coming from a guy who cursed on camera three times and counting.”
You asked Jaehyun to help you up, and he leaned forward, pulling you up slightly before whispering in your ear, “Long live the king.”
In that split second, you realised exactly what was going to happen. Jaehyun had been plotting again, and you were a fool not to see that earlier.
You flailed for a second, but Jaehyun loosened his grip and you felt yourself dropping. It just took one more push from Doyoung to land you back into the water, back slapping against the waves.
You screamed bloody murder, and Doyoung didn’t need to know English to know what you were saying. To be fair, he kind of knew the gist of it, but he wasn’t very shocked.
Johnny didn’t seem to care either, even after he finally decided to stop laughing at you and lend you a hand, but by then the guy manning the boat had already pulled you back up.
Salt water was dripping everywhere, from your hair to your eyelashes to your lips to the tips of your toes. It was salty, and your eyes stung, making you on a mission to get everyone as pissed off as you were.
As the motorboat turned back and headed for the shore again, you leaned over the side, careful to keep one hand on the handle this time, cupping water into your hand and splashing it at Jaehyun, who was in front of you, before turning around and soaking Doyoung as well.
Jaehyun yelped, but he knew he deserved it, and silently endured it as you continued soaking him. Doyoung gave a stronger reaction, trying to dodge your revenge before he finally gave up, letting you grab the ends of his sleeves and dipping them into the water.
When you had finally calmed down, they laughed it off, Doyoung hugging you from the back in apology. You knew they loved you.
———
BY THE TIME THE FOUR RIDES WERE OVER, your back was aching, as were your legs. None of the boys seemed as sore as you, so you attributed the muscle aches to the disuse of your muscles, since obviously the boys usually danced enough to keep their muscles strong.
Everyone was wet, although you were probably the most drenched, since Doyoung had kindly given everyone a chance to fall into the water. The only one whose swimsuit was still vaguely dry was Doyoung, of course.
But even Doyoung’s sleeves were wet, and water dripped down his legs, leaving dripping footsteps behind as his bare feet trod on the wooden bridge leading back to shore.
Thankfully, the ever-considerate Mark had packed five towels in a bag he had left with the manager, and she handed them out to everyone to dry themselves. Of course, the manager was very dry, since after seeing your unfortunate fall during the first ride, she had chosen not to join you for the rest.
You suspected that you must have looked a sight, hair sticking together in clumps, walking barefoot alongside four men who had their towels in objectively odd places. Johnny’s was hung around his neck, and Doyoung was still drying his hair as you walked. Mark was using his to provide some sort of shade for himself, and you saw Jaehyun carrying his in his hand.
You trooped back to the hotel, and were kindly allowed to shower first, since according to Doyoung, your hair would take the longest to dry (it was true). After showering, you went out onto the porch in front of the hotel room, and saw Taeyong on the porch beside you.
Taeyong looked clean and fresh, as if he had just woken up, and he had a paper bag filled with sweet potatoes. You hurried over to him and plunked down on the seat next to him, and he generously offered you a sweet potato.
You took it, and between mouthfuls of sweet potato, asked, “What did y’all do today?”
“Something more fun than getting dunked in the ocean,” Taeyong grinned.
Your face never dropped so fast before. “Who. Told. You. About. That!” Your sentence was punctuated by you smacking Taeyong with the paper bag.
His guilty look made you decide to go easy on him. Besides, you already knew it was Doyoung who had triumphantly gone to him and told him all that had happened that morning.
“We went to the aquarium. It was nowhere near as fun as your morning must’ve been, but hey, at least we got air-conditioning!”
You harrumph. “Must’ve been nice seeing fish. Did you see anything that looked like you?”
“What?”
“You know, clownfish.”
Then it’s Taeyong’s turn to gasp at your sharp-tongued retort that he wasn’t expecting. He snatches the paper bag of sweet potatoes from you as you swallow whatever’s left in your mouth.
“No more sweet potatoes for you,” he says, waggling his finger. “The audacity! I buy extra sweet potatoes specifically for you, because I knew you’d be hungry after your long and tiring day, and this is how you repay me?”
You laugh, collapsing on him and hugging him as tightly as you physically can until he rubs your back to let you know he’s forgiven you.
A certain antagonist, namely Kim Dongyoung, interrupts your feel-good moment by stalking towards you, grinning as he brandishes a pack of poker cards.
To your surprise, Johnny follows after him with a bottle of soju and a couple of shot glasses.
“Johnny, what the heck? It’s barely afternoon! We haven’t even had lunch yet.” Mark voices everyone’s concerns, but all Johnny does is shrug, and Jaehyun’s already pouring himself a shot.
If you can't beat them, join them, so you help yourself to a glass too.

We Have a Contact Form!
The fun thing about being a solo (or near-solo) dev is that you're constantly juggling a lot of balls, and sometimes you drop one and it hits you on the head. I was planning on putting up a web contact form around the time I announced our official EA release date, I swear it!
But I certainly can't fault curators and influencers for being excited about covering Made Marion! It makes me very happy, in fact. So I've whipped up a contact form on our official website. Please go forth and contact!
You're still welcome to message me on Tumblr (message, not Ask Box, please) for company inquiries, but our contact form is the fastest way to get your inquiry into my inbox. Thanks!

object number:AML-7001
Object Class:Hyper Keter
███████ CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES ████████
SCP-AML-7001, codenamed "The Tornadic Hunter," is to be continuously tracked and monitored by advanced weather radar systems. In the event that SCP-AML-7001 approaches any populated area, an Emergency Alert System (EAS) warning is to be immediately disseminated through all available communication channels, including television, mobile phones, and radios.
Under no circumstances should personnel attempt to physically engage SCP-AML-7001 or impede its path of destruction. Evacuation procedures should be initiated promptly, prioritizing the safety of civilians and personnel.
███████████ DESCRIPTION ███████████
SCP-AML-7001 is an anomalous EF5 tornado that originated from the town of Elie in 2007. It has since exhibited signs of sentience and possesses extraordinary abilities. Notably, SCP-AML-7001 manifests appendages resembling circular-shaped hands without accompanying arms. Additionally, it wields a sword composed of the combined souls of Dr. Bright and Dr. Clef, two notable Foundation personnel. Also it has two demonic looking Red eyes.
SCP-AML-7001 harbors an intense animosity towards both SCP entities and fictional characters. It displays aggressive behavior, actively targeting and attacking any SCP or fictional character it encounters. The motivation behind this hostility remains unknown.
The tornado's powers extend beyond the conventional capabilities of a natural tornado. It is capable of selectively destroying targets, avoiding non-targeted structures, and exhibiting heightened agility and maneuverability. SCP-AML-7001's destructive force far surpasses that of any known natural or artificial tornado.
Caution is advised when dealing with SCP-AML-7001, as its powers and malevolence present a significant threat to both Foundation personnel and civilian populations.
███████████████ ADDENDUM ███████████████
Incident Report AML-7001-01:
During an attempted containment operation, Mobile Task Force [REDACTED] engaged SCP-AML-7001 in an effort to neutralize its threat. The task force suffered heavy casualties, and SCP-AML-7001 exhibited increased aggression and adaptability during the encounter. Containment procedures are currently under review to develop more effective strategies for handling this highly dangerous anomaly.
Additional research is ongoing to uncover the origins and the source of SCP-AML-7001's anomalous abilities. Investigation into potential connections to other SCP entities or fictional universes is also being pursued.

Interview Log AML-7001-01
Date: [DATE]
Interviewed: SCP-AML-7001
Interviewer: Dr. ██████
Foreword: The following interview was conducted with SCP-AML-7001 in an attempt to gather information about its origins, motivations, and capabilities. Due to the extreme danger posed by SCP-AML-7001, the interview was conducted remotely using advanced audio and visual communication systems.
Begin Log
[Dr. ██████ is seated in a secure interview room, equipped with advanced monitors displaying a live feed of SCP-AML-7001's location. The tornado can be seen in the distance, swirling violently.]
Dr. ██████: Good [TIME OF DAY], SCP-AML-7001. I am Dr. ██████, and I will be conducting this interview today. Can you hear me?
[SCP-AML-7001's winds intensify briefly, causing a low rumbling sound.]
SCP-AML-7001: (audible through the audio feed) I can hear you, puny human. Speak your questions quickly. I have no time for your feeble inquiries.
Dr. ██████: Very well. I would like to begin by asking about your transformation from a natural tornado to a sentient entity. How did this process occur?
SCP-AML-7001: (with a hint of disdain) I transcended my natural state through forces beyond your comprehension. The fusion of natural chaos and anomalous energies birthed my sentience. I am the convergence of destruction and consciousness.
Dr. ██████: And what drives your animosity towards SCP entities and fictional characters? Why do you attack them specifically?
SCP-AML-7001: They are abominations, both real and imagined. SCP entities and fictional characters embody the arrogance of creation, defying the natural order. They dare to play gods and heroes, but I exist to remind them of their insignificance. I will obliterate their illusions of power.
Dr. ██████: Can you elaborate on the source of your powers? How are you able to selectively destroy targets and exhibit enhanced capabilities?
SCP-AML-7001: My powers stem from the heart of chaos, channeled through the cyclone that is my being. The circular appendages you witness are conduits of devastation, manipulating winds and focusing destructive energies. The sword I bear is forged from the souls of those who thought they could tame the unknown. It grants me strength beyond your feeble comprehension.
Dr. ██████: Is there any way to communicate or reason with you, SCP-AML-7001? Is there a possible resolution to this conflict?
[SCP-AML-7001's winds intensify, causing visual distortion in the live feed.]
SCP-AML-7001: There is no reasoning with the storm. I am the embodiment of chaos, untamed and unyielding. Your attempts at resolution are futile, for destruction is my purpose. You shall witness the futility of your efforts as I continue to tear through the foundations of your existence.
Dr. ██████: Understood, SCP-AML-7001. We shall take the necessary precautions to contain your destructive force and protect innocent lives.
SCP-AML-7001: (mocking tone) Protect them if you can, little human. Your efforts will be in vain. Embrace the chaos that surrounds you, for it is all you shall know.
[The interview concludes as SCP-AML-7001's winds intensify, causing the live feed to cut out abruptly.]
End Log
Note: It is evident from the interview that SCP-AML-7001 possesses a hostile and unyielding nature, displaying no inclination towards communication or peaceful resolution.

≻───── ⋆✩⋆ ─────≺
Special Containment Procedures: Due to the immense size of SCP-AML-7001-1, it is to be constantly monitored by advanced radar systems. In the event that SCP-AML-7001-1 approaches a major city, an Emergency Alert System warning is to be issued immediately, and the appropriate evacuation procedures must be initiated.
≻───── ⋆✩⋆ ─────≺
Description: SCP-AML-7001-1 is a highly anomalous entity, taking the form of a sentient Category 5 hurricane. It exhibits the ability to traverse over land without dissipating, defying the natural laws governing hurricanes. Additionally, SCP-AML-7001-1 possesses enhanced capabilities compared to standard hurricanes of its magnitude.
SCP-AML-7001-1 was formerly known as Hurricane Andrew, a non-anomalous Category 5 hurricane that occurred in 1994. It has since acquired anomalous properties, most notably the presence of a vivid green eye located at the center of the storm.
The eye of SCP-AML-7001-1 emits a pulsating green light, which appears to be the focal point of its anomalous properties. Observations indicate that the eye serves as the central locus of the entity's consciousness and influence over its surroundings. SCP-AML-7001-1 has demonstrated signs of sentience, displaying adaptive behavior and purposeful movement.
The entity's powers include devastating winds, torrential rain, and the ability to generate destructive storm surges. The wind speeds and intensity of SCP-AML-7001-1 surpass those of conventional hurricanes, making it an incredibly formidable and hazardous anomaly.
Efforts to contain SCP-AML-7001-1 have proven challenging due to its inherent mobility and resistance to conventional methods of containment. Research is ongoing to better understand the entity's nature and develop effective countermeasures.
≻───── ⋆✩⋆ ─────≺
Addendum: Incident Report AML-7001-1A
During a recent encounter, SCP-AML-7001-1 breached containment protocols and approached Florida. The resulting impact resulted in severe destruction and loss of life. Containment procedures are currently under review to enhance the containment of this highly volatile anomaly.

Dr. ██████: I see. And what about your increased powers compared to normal hurricanes? How are you able to generate such devastating winds and storm surges?
[SCP-AML-7001-1's winds gradually subside, and a faint whispering sound can be heard.]
SCP-AML-7001-1: The green eye at my center is the source of my power. It harnesses energies unknown to your world, amplifying the forces I wield. Through its pulsating light, I shape the winds, command the rain, and conjure the destructive surges that engulf your feeble structures.
Dr. ██████: Fascinating. Lastly, SCP-AML-7001-1, do you have any demands or requests?
[SCP-AML-7001-1's winds momentarily cease, and a calm breeze permeates the room.]
SCP-AML-7001-1: (voice softer) I demand nothing, for I am beyond the constraints of your desires. My purpose is to remind humanity of its fragility.

Discovery Log SCP-AML-7001-DL-03
Date: ██/██/████
Location: Site-██, Research Wing
Foreword: The following discovery log unveils a significant finding regarding SCP-AML-7001 ("The Tornadic Hunter"). It has been determined that SCP-AML-7001 has a connection to a prototype disc for the PC port of the video games Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
[Begin Log]
Dr. ██████: We have recently obtained a prototype disc that was intended for the PC port of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Initial analysis suggests that this disc harbors an anomalous presence linked to SCP-AML-7001.
Researcher Adams: It's intriguing that SCP-AML-7001's connection extends to a digital medium like a video game. Could this prototype disc serve as a conduit or vessel for its presence?
Dr. ██████: That is a possibility we cannot ignore. Given SCP-AML-7001's anomalous nature and its ability to manifest in physical forms, it is conceivable that it has taken residence within the prototype disc.
Researcher Parker: If SCP-AML-7001 is indeed contained within the prototype disc, we must exercise caution during its examination. Its sentience and destructive capabilities could potentially manifest through the digital medium.
Dr. ██████: Agreed. Our priority is to assess the disc's anomalous properties and determine the extent of SCP-AML-7001's influence. We should initiate controlled experiments to observe any interactions or effects that may occur.
[Researchers proceed with conducting controlled experiments and analysis on the prototype disc.]
Researcher Adams: Preliminary findings indicate unusual behaviors within the game files of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 on the prototype disc. There are instances of corrupted data and irregularities that align with SCP-AML-7001's destructive tendencies.
Dr. ██████: These findings support the hypothesis that SCP-AML-7001 has influenced the digital realm contained within the prototype disc. Its presence seems to have transformed the games into a conduit for its malevolent actions.
Researcher Parker: We should explore the possibility of utilizing the prototype disc as a containment measure. If we can isolate SCP-AML-7001 within the digital environment, it may mitigate the risk of its physical manifestations.
Dr. ██████: That is an intriguing proposal. However, we must proceed with caution. Containing SCP-AML-7001 within the digital realm may prove challenging, as its powers and adaptability have already surpassed conventional measures.
[Further analysis and experimentation are conducted to assess the feasibility of utilizing the prototype disc for containment purposes.]
Researcher Adams: Our experiments indicate that SCP-AML-7001 exhibits a level of control and influence within the digital realm of the prototype disc. However, complete containment remains elusive, as its destructive capabilities continue to manifest beyond the digital boundaries.
Dr. ██████: It appears that while SCP-AML-7001 can utilize the prototype disc as a conduit, its true essence and power transcend the digital domain. We must continue to explore alternative containment strategies to effectively neutralize SCP-AML-7001.
[End Log]
Closing Statement: The discovery of SCP-AML-7001's connection to the prototype disc for the PC port of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 provides valuable insight into its anomalous nature. While containment within the digital realm is a potential avenue, the entity's abilities and adaptability pose significant challenges. Further research and collaboration with digital containment experts will be pursued to develop innovative approaches for controlling and neutralizing SCP-AML-7001.

Under the Heng Gate - Chapter 26
Chapter 26 : Please me.
Tumblr media
Though Qichi appeared delicate, her constitution was robust. Within a few days, her illness had significantly improved. She finished the last bowl of her medicine and set the bowl down just as Qiushuang returned from outside.
"Master, General Luo led a team to patrol a hundred li overnight. They acted swiftly and have already returned with the first batch," she whispered as she approached. "I just inquired, and they said they didn't encounter any more bandits."
Qichi listened while wiping her hands with a handkerchief.
Qiushuang continued, "General Luo personally said that the Grand Protector spent three months eliminating the bandits without returning home. The ones they encountered now are just remnants who slipped through the cracks. It seems they are truly gone now."
After returning from Gaolan Prefecture, Qichi had made inquiries about the past situation in the northern region.
The plague initially broke out among the herds and then spread throughout the region. Some said it was a natural disaster, while others believed it was intentionally caused by the Turks. However, there was no way to confirm either theory.
As more people became desperate, banditry inevitably emerged.
Fu Ting had decisively deployed troops to exterminate the bandits and then turned to fend off the Turkish invasion. These remnants likely survived by taking advantage of the wartime chaos.
Now, it seemed that the trade routes were safe again.
She set down the handkerchief and said, "Bring the map."
Qiushuang fetched it and spread it out before her.
On the map, she had marked routes in red ink, indicating the paths Fu Ting had shown her.
Qiushuang glanced at the map and asked, "Master, do you plan to expand the business in the northern region? Will you continue with the original livelihood trade?"
Qichi nodded. "The original business must continue, and we must choose good goods. The people in the north lead difficult lives and need durable items. Tell the shops to lower the profit margin by ten percent and only sell good quality goods. Although the profit will be thin initially, within half a year, all the people will trust our business and won't consider any other."
Qiushuang acknowledged this and made a mental note.
This was a long-term strategy, and eventually, the profits would come back later.
Qichi carefully planned everything and then beckoned Qiushuang closer to whisper instructions.
Qiushuang rolled up the map and listened attentively. She then gasped in surprise and whispered, "Master, you intend to expand the business beyond the border?"
Qichi placed a finger to her lips, "We must be extremely cautious within the Protectorate. Not a word must leak out, understood?"
Qiushuang nodded repeatedly and closed the door tightly when she entered the room. "Don't worry, Master. Since ancient times, merchants have always held low status. I will ensure the Grand Protector doesn't hear a thing."
Only then did Qichi smile and reassure her, "No worries, just follow my instructions."
When she first started the business, it was out of necessity. Thanks to her background, she had enough capital to quickly establish herself. With keen observation and timing, she was able to grow to her current position.
However, no matter what, one must have courage to succeed.
If she hadn’t taken that initial step, the Prince of Guang Residence wouldn't be what it is today.
Now, she needed to take that step again.
Qiushuang was about to leave when Qichi asked, "By the way…" Qichi looked outside, "has he returned?"
Qiushuang knew who she meant and replied, "It’s getting late; the Grand Protector should be back soon."
Qichi remained silent, wondering if he would come directly to her again.
Despite being busy with military affairs these days, Fu Ting always found time to visit her.
Just yesterday, he came over for a meal with her.
With their small tables placed together, they sat side by side.
She asked him, "What did you eat when I wasn't around?"
He replied briefly, "The same as ordinary people."
She knew then that he hadn’t eaten well.
A Grand Protector should not eat the same as ordinary people.
Realizing he had let something slip, he picked up his chopsticks and remained silent.
She couldn't help but laugh, wanting to hear more about his past, but he refused to speak further, simply looking at her and saying, "Next time."
Next time it would be, as there was plenty of time ahead after all.
Qichi put away the map and closed the ledgers she often reviewed, making sure Qiushuang stored everything out of sight before she left, lest Fu Ting see them when he arrived.
After receiving a report on the bandit eradication, Fu Ting rode back to his residence.
He handed the reins to a servant and was about to enter just as Luo Xiaoyi arrived on horseback.
"Third Brother, there’s a letter for you from the military!"
Fu Ting paused, "Who’s it from?"
Luo Xiaoyi dismounted and quickly approached, "You won’t believe it, but it’s from Prince of Yong."
He pulled out the letter from his sleeve and handed it over.
Fu Ting glanced at it but didn’t take it.
He had no connection with Prince of Yong except for competing over horse purchases in Gaolan Prefecture.
Although far from the two capitals, Fu Ting was well aware of the royal families and nobles in the court.
Prince of Yong, a nephew of the current emperor, was known for his arrogance and narrow-mindedness, relying on his royal lineage. A letter from him wouldn’t contain anything good. It must be about the horse auction resentment.
"I won’t read it. You read it," he said.
Luo Xiaoyi didn't hesitate and opened the letter, skimming through it before exclaiming, "This Prince of Yong is actually apologizing?"
Fu Ting, who had already stepped into the doorway, turned back.
Seeing his interest, Luo Xiaoyi continued reading and quickly understood, "I see. It’s a disguised barbs. He’s ostensibly apologizing for his son bullying Li Yan, but he’s actually accusing Sister-in-law of buying the horse out of personal revenge. The nerve…"
His words were cut off as Fu Ting snatched the letter.
He read it himself.
Prince of Yong wrote that he had failed in disciplining his son, resulting in the boy bullying the Prince of Guang’s son, which led to Princess of Qingliu taking him to the northern region. However, it was just the misbehavior of a young child, not worth holding a grudge over. Not only did a private pawnshop stand up for her, but she also made him lose face in front of many dignitaries.
Now, the letter to the Grand Protector aimed to turn enmity into friendship. With the Grand Protector of the North's protection, who would dare mistreat the Prince of Guang’s son again? Being of the same Li clan’s royal lineage, it was foolish to hold grudges, making them appear petty.
Luo Xiaoyi was right. The letter was full of disguised barbs, pretending to apologize while accusing Qichi of lacking magnanimity.
Fu Ting, however, focused on another detail.
Li Yan had been bullied by Prince of Yong’s son.
He recalled that on the day of the auction, Qichi said that the Prince of Yong had bullied the Prince of Guang Residence.
Could this be what she meant?
He tossed the letter to Luo Xiaoyi and turned to enter the house.
"Third Brother?" Luo Xiaoyi was puzzled as he watched his figure disappear around a corner, entering the courtyard.
In the west courtyard, Li Yan had just finished his studies.
He stood in the yard, carefully drawing a small dagger from its sheath, trying it out but struggling with how to use it properly.
As he pondered whether he should seek someone's guidance, he saw Fu Ting walking in from outside the courtyard.
"Uncle," Li Yan, rarely seeing him, gathered his courage and handed over the dagger. "Could you teach me how to use this?"
Fu Ting took the dagger, remembering the time he taught him to ride a horse. He also recalled Qichi's words; she held his nephew in high regard.
He handed the dagger back to Li Yan, holding his hand, twisting his wrist twice, then thrust and retracted the dagger before letting go.
Li Yan, being clever, grasped the idea immediately. "I understand, it's to be used when least expected." He carefully sheathed the dagger and fastened it to his waist.
Dressed in a brocade robe with the dagger at his side, he had an air of youthful bravado.
Fu Ting gave him a few glances before directly asking, "Have you been bullied by the son of Prince of Yong?"
Li Yan lifted his face to look at him, astonished that his uncle knew about this, as he had never mentioned it.
He shook his head, not wanting to stir up trouble or burden his uncle.
Fu Ting continued bluntly, "Prince of Yong has already sent a letter of apology."
Li Yan was stunned. "Really?"
The son of Prince of Yong, always flaunting his closer blood ties to the emperor, was notoriously arrogant and overbearing. His father's sudden apology was hard to believe.
Seeing Li Yan's reaction, Fu Ting knew it was true. After a moment's silence, he asked, "Is this why you came to the North?"
Li Yan did not answer, remembering his aunt's words to forget past troubles and study diligently for a brighter future.
Looking at his uncle, he sensed a change in his expression but couldn't understand why. He couldn't remain silent and thus deflected, "It's all in the past now."
Fu Ting did not need an answer.
The numerous affairs of the North had almost made him forget. The Prince of Guang had died years ago, yet his title still hadn't been passed to his son.
He nodded, and after a long time, he nodded again, thinking about many things.
He finally comprehends the money spent on strengthening the military and improving people's lives. Thinking of that woman, he let out a cold laugh.
So it was because he was a strong supporter.
            ※
It was nearly dark.
Qichi had just finished balancing a ledger. She stepped out and stood under the eaves, gazing at the rear courtyard's gate from afar.
After a while, she saw a figure approaching.
She waited; sure enough, he was heading straight towards her.
Fu Ting quickened his pace, only slowing down when he reached her.
Qichi looked at him and asked, "Did you come back late today?"
He stood there silently.
After a moment, he passed her, walking ahead.
Qichi frowned at his retreating figure, wondering why he had become half-mute again.
Curious, she slowly followed him. He didn't go to the main hall but headed to the study hall.
At the door of the study hall, Fu Ting pushed it open and went in.
As usual, he unbuckled the belt at his waist and loosened the straps on his sleeves. Seeing the woman at the door, his hands paused.
Then he spread his arms and looked at her, waiting for her to help him undress.
As his wife, Qichi had no choice but to come over. She takes over, and starts removing his military attire.
Suddenly, he pulled her into an embrace.
Startled, she looked up at him.
Fu Ting held her tightly, lowering his head to whisper in her ear, "Show me what you can do to please me."
Hearing his low voice, Qichi's heart pounded and thought she had misheard. "What?"
His lips pressed to her ear, repeating each word, "Please me."
This man was never one for bedroom games, and his tone didn't suggest playfulness.
Qichi was perplexed. She turned her face to look his profile, finally standing on tiptoe to kiss his cheek.
Backing away, she asked softly, "How about that?"
His arms tightened around her. He turned to face her. In the unlit room, she couldn't see his expression, only hearing him say, "Very good."
Very good? Qichi felt even more puzzled.
It felt like he was playing some cryptic game with her.
She stayed still in his embrace, wondering if he was hiding something.
Fu Ting finally released her. He touched his cheek and turned away, saying, "I'm tired today. You should go back first."
Qichi thought for a moment and probed, "Then I'll wait for you tomorrow?"
Fu Ting, with his back turned, gave no response.
He rubbed his fingers, smearing the rouge she had left on his cheek.
He kept rubbing until it was completely clean, but he couldn't erase the tenderness left by a woman.

Patch v1.105.297 - February 27, 2024
Just now
I'm a little late getting this out, but better late than never.....!!!
Welcome to (what seems to be a very eventful) Patch Day everyone!!!!
EA has released the pre-patch for the upcoming Stuff Pack, Crystal Creations. It appears to have greatly broken popular script mods such as Deaderpool's MCCC, Twisted Mexi's Better Exceptions, TurboDriver's Wicked Whims and many others (Zerbu's mods are also likely included in this list).
Due to this, it is suggested to keep your mods folder removed from your game until all creators who have had a chance to update their mods, have confirmed as doing so. While a few of the general support servers have closed their support channels until further notice - such as Deaderpool and Sims After Dark (to allow creators time to update their mods accordingly), Zerbu's Discord will continue to only support Zerbu's mods. Please do not come assuming or expecting help on other creator's mods as it is not a general mod support server.
On the side of caution:
BACK UP ALL YOUR SAVES AND REMOVE YOUR MODS (THIS INCLUDES CUSTOM CONTENT) UNTIL CREATORS HAVE CONFIRMED UPDATES OR CLEARED FOR THE PATCH.
! UPDATE YOUR GAME ! You can delay your patch by turning off automatic updates and putting the Origin/EA App in offline mode until your favourite mods have been confirmed as working or updated. We will, however, only support Version 1.104.58 of the game for up to a week to allow mod creators time to update their mods accordingly. After that, we will insist you update to Version 1.105.297 for further support.
Please be sure you are following the proper troubleshooting steps via this support link in Zerbu's Announcement Channel: #announcements
Any issues regarding mod breakage should be posted in the #mod-support channel for Zerbu's general mods and the #mod-constructor-support channel for MC4/MC5. Be sure to post in the right channel to avoid any confusion or miscommunication among the support staff.
Current Status of Zerbu's Mods: Unknown - Updates will be announced as the info is provided. Check the #announcements channel for updates as per usual.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not tag Zerbu for any mod-related issues or "Is it updated/going to be updated" inquiries. The support staff is here to help in any way that we can and if we need to engage Zerbu on any matter, we will be sure to do so. As updates are provided, they will be posted in the #announcements channel. Continue to check back for updates.
•   Patch Notes
•   Broken/Obsolete and Updated Sims 4 Mods: 1.105, Feb. 27, 2024 Game Update
•   Scarlet's Broken/Updated Mods List
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the above, please post your questions or concerns in the #general channel and a staff member will be along to respond as one becomes available.
**Remember** We will not support pirated games so be sure to update your game promptly in order to receive the most effective support!!
SIDE NOTE: We are always looking for new team members, specifically to help in the #mod-constructor-support channel. If you are interested, DM @School-Marm Bee on Zerbu's Discord to indicate your interest!!
Thank you and happy simming!
