(Started working on this awhile ago, some stuff happened in the lore since then, including an Hermit invasion... But I was like "better late then never" so here you go lol)

If you ever were to visit the Empires server, every villager will tell you right away- don't trust a word the Emperors say. Secrets, lies & denial run freely, the currency of the server more so than any of the kingdom's official exports.

Like the ruler of Gobland, for example. A friendly little guy, deputy for the sheriff. He will gladly welcome visitors to the caves, giving them a ride on the fully working railway system. "Safety first!" as he always says.

But the real reason is to keep them on the designated path. If they snoop around, they might see the prisoner in a cage, or the tunnels leading up to every nearby kingdom right under their nose. Truth is, the Goblin King is loyal to his people first and foremost. Even if they're underground dwellers, it doesn't mean the Goblins have to live in the dark, and when fWhip became ruler, he made it his mission to bring them closer to the outside world. So he will smile, and joke around, and suck up to whoever's necessary while counting up the gold in the vault.

And if he finds himself feeling more for the Sheriff than he anticipated- it's just a slight bump in the plans, that's all. He will never admit that to his face. "It's the highest honor for a goblin to be a deputy to a sheriff!" he throws around with another good-natured smile. Every goblin knows- your secrets are best kept deep underground.

Like the letter under the floorboards at the Great Witch's former house. Now only Tortoise lives there, jumping around the cabin, but Shelby still goes there from time to time to make sure the letter is still there. Each time she does, she can't help but pass her eyes over the words again: A danger to society. Expelled. No longer a witch.

One little multidimensional accident and they throw her under the bus like that? She shouldn't be surprised, nobody expected her to even finish witch school.

But for someone who is such a failure, she does surprisingly well here at The Evermoore. She helps people. Even if some potions go wrong (she shudders thinking about fWhip's ear-wings), most of them work, and the grateful smile on the other Emperors' face tells her she's doing something right. So it's not a lie, not really. She is a witch, a good one at that.

But she still feels a sting in her heart whenever she has to keep up the front with the other Rulers. "Yeah, the academy loves me! they keep checking in on their top student," the lies have become second nature for her at this point.

Someday, she promises herself, she will tell them the truth. The more time she spends here, the more she starts to feel like maybe they won't exile her. Maybe they'll still want her around because of who she is, not because of some musty diploma. But until then, the lie stays.

It's not a lie if it's true. Even though all the other rulers laugh when she says, again, that she's not cursed. 'The cursed princess' they call her. How can she begin to explain that it was only a coincidence that the day she was born the kingdom got split in half, with darkness encasing the unfortunate half of it. She gave up on that hope a long time ago, when her own villagers didn't want to come near her. Instead, she came up with a plan- she's not the reason, but she can be the solution!

So she trains at night, forsaking sleep. And in the mornings she builds houses and grand structures, trying to rebuild the kingdom that once was. Except they all turn half-black and rotting under her hands. The curse is present more than ever, she's willing to admit. But she will fight it. She won't stop until it's gone.

Then, silly things like who caused it wouldn't even matter, right? Not that she did. She didn't bring this curse upon her kingdom. She's not at fault. She's not cursed she's just not.

It's not a lie if you tell it to yourself enough times.

Random fun fact of Change and Secrets:

The group of friend were named "The Emperors" by Fwhip, totally not being egotistical about it. And well, the name stuck during high school, even after stuff happened.

It's been forever since I kept up with Empires but wow, how long have Scott and Fwhip been dating? Congratulations to the new parents!

" - And he wasn't happy about finding someone else in the temple, but he was so certain that his little map meant he would be able to find the artifact before I could," said Scott to his audience. The regular meeting between rulers had concluded, and while some had already left for their respective empires, a few stayed to socialize. At some point the conversation turned to how some of them had coincidentally first met years before they held any power.

"He didn't know I could see it glowing through the walls," Scott continued. "Gave him quite the surprise when I walked out of the room with the statue in hand just as he got there."

"Gave me quite the surprise when you decked me, too," said Pix. "You laid me out and took off with it."

"Well, I wasn't about to risk you getting hold of it when I'd done all the work," said Scott smugly.

"Most embarrassing excavation of my career," sighed Pix. "Outwitted by a common thief."

"Excuse you," said Scott indignantly. "I'm not common. And what's an archaeologist anyway but a thief who writes things down."

Pix laughed. "I'm not a thief at all," he said. "I'm a collector, as you're so fond of calling it yourself."

"Yes, and 'collecting' is how you learned to pick locks," smirked Scott. "A skill you picked up for only the most noble of endeavors, I'm sure."

"You punched me in the face the first time we met too!" interjected Fwhip. "Am I detecting a pattern?"

"That was your own fault," Scott reminded him. "I so graciously let you stay at my camp and you tried to steal the ores I had on me."

"Such violence hidden behind such a pretty face!" said Sausage, and winked at Scott. "Now I kind of feel left out. I think we just kissed in a pond the first time we met."

"That was definitely not what happened," said Scott.

"Okay maybe not, but we did kiss on day one." Scott rolled his eyes, and Sausage grinned.

"Wait wait wait, I think I know how Scott picks his friends!" laughed Fwhip. "He just plays Kiss or Kill with everyone he meets, and if the answer is 'yes' to at least one of them then he keeps them!"

Scott let out a heavy sigh. "I really want to argue that point, but I think you might be right," he said. "Maybe not from the first meeting, but I've definitely either kissed or punched every single one of my allies at some point."

Oli let out a dramatic gasp. "I've never been struck by your fair hand nor kissed by your sweet lips!" he cried out, clutching his chest with one hand and sweeping the other out to the side. "Are we not friends, Scott? Have my affections for you been one-sided all this time?!"

Scott regarded the bard with a bemused expression. "Oli, what affections? We don't have an official alliance," he said. "And we've barely interacted outside of these meetings."

"Oh yeah, that's true," said Oli sheepishly. "Had a bit of 'fomo' for a second, don't mind me."

"It sounds silly, but Fwhip might actually be on to something," mused Joel. "With the fellas, anyway."

"The girls get a free pass," agreed Scott. "We're automatically friends unless they try to steal my man."

"But you don't have a man to steal," said Lizzie.

"That's twice you've pointed out I'm single. Friendship revoked," said Scott, and Lizzie cackled.

"There's only one ally that doesn't fit," said Sausage. "Unless you've already dumped Jimmy and I just didn't know it."

"No, we still have an alliance," said Scott.

"My theory still works with them anyway," said Fwhip to Sausage. "Scott and Jimmy have definitely - ow."

Scott sipped his drink and acted like he hadn't just kicked Fwhip under the table, but to his displeasure everyone's eyes were already on him. He'd never been more glad for Jimmy's habit of leaving almost as soon as meetings ended instead of sticking around to chat.

"The sheriff is an exception," he said, fixing Fwhip with a stare that he hoped conveyed his silent demand for the goblin's discretion. "Gunpowder and terracotta are valuable resources to have access to. And I feel sorry for him. He's trying his best, but you lot do nothing but give him a hard time despite claiming to be his friends."

"He fired me," said Fwhip. "I'm allowed a bit of a grudge before I forgive him."

"And he's so easy to tease," said Joel. "He's always getting in someone's face at the slightest provocation. He practically begs to be given a hard time!"

"That may be so," said Scott, "but you don't have to take it as far as you do sometimes. Give the poor man a break."

He reached for the last slice of cake, but Fwhip beat him to it and clambered up into the rafters. "Too slow!" he crowed. "Mine now."

"It's cute how you think I can't reach you up there," said Scott. "You have five seconds to give it back before I come after you."

Fwhip smirked, shoved the cake in his mouth, and made a rude gesture. "Come an' get me, circus boy," he said around his mouthful of dessert, and scrambled to the next beam as Scott jumped to his feet amid cheers of fight, fight, fight! from the others.

Okay so, we all know that fWhip and the group have a new series starting soon, yeah?

Recently, fWhip put out a short where he built a stone obelisk of sorts, with some glowing letters carved into it

Assuming I’m reading it right, it says “SOS” in galactic. In the short, he says that that it’s “not ominous, or foreshadowing anything at all!”

So, it definitely is.

We also know that Pixlriffs mentioned starting a new multiplayer series: “I’m also about to start a new multiplayer project, which should be beginning this weekend.” [Survival Guide S3 E.87 (0:23)]

Apart from these two, I’ve also seen that both Oli and Sausage have alluded to new skins in some way

The skins seem very casual to me? I also noticed that Sausage’s skin is lacking the shoulder pad and fallout wristband that he usually wears, which is interesting. (Perhaps related to fWhip mentioning that he’s not allowing multidimensional lore, but still worth noting regardless.) To me, it’s giving like, normal people somehow stranded in a fantasy world vibes. We also know that fWhip commissioned a special mod for this series, so perhaps it’s something to do with that?

So! It seems like the new series is starting this weekend (Feb 24-25), if Pix is correct. It’s also worth mentioning once again that this is NOT empires season three, as fWhip has repeatedly emphasized that a season three will not be happening this year.

Gem gets to be my favorite pokemon because shes my favorite <3 and I really like Virizion e!Pearl so it worked out great that Terrakion was great for Sausage!! I think the WRA team are treasure hunters primarily, though they aren’t always an active team since Gem and fWhip are both researchers that regularly travel between continents.

City with no name, person with no history

A thousand years ago, Pix voluntarily went into the desert and never returned. A thousand years later, it still has consequences. A short look at friendships that span lives.

"You’ve been spending a lot of time here lately," Pix smiles, there is no claim, no hint of suspicion. The smile is soft, he is simply observing the fact. The sky is blue, the grass is green, the ancient city that Pix is working so hard on has no name. Fwhip has been spending a lot here lately.

It is the middle of summer, and the sun stands high and shines for a long time, making its way even underground to the goblins. Gobland is cooler than the surface, but everyone still works a little slower and a little lazier than usual. Fwhip decided to stop construction during the heat wave. However, when your hands are not busy with materials, it turns out, that he has too much free time.

"Are you against it?" almost escapes Fwhip, but something inside him is suddenly afraid - what if he really is against it? What if suddenly Pix will say that he is tired of the company and overall the goblin is getting under his feet? What if he suddenly leaves? Which is honestly hilarious. Pix may disappear for a day or two or even a week, but everyone knows that this man has simply buried himself again in some ancient hole and sighs in admiration over half-broken vases.

"Someone should make you warm up, old man, otherwise you’ll wither away like your precious artifacts," Fwhip grins, kindly, of course, and Pix laughs too, a little muffled, as if from afar. Fwhip is again overwhelmed by the feeling that Pix is going to disappear right now. Pix has always been... Fwhip doesn't want to use the word "weird" because it implies that everyone else was normal (which they weren't), but there was always something ELSE about Pix's presence. He will tell you a fact and then add something ELSE that he shouldn't know, he will ask you a question, but there is something ELSE in the question, but you don't know for sure what it is, you will say the answer and he will hear something ELSE, incomprehensible to you. And then he will smile again and for some reason, you will feel sad.

"As if I don’t have enough warming up without you, little children," he is only like maybe eight years older than Fwhip, but Pix again looks into the distance, at the restored castle, and in his eyes is the regret of an immortal. Fwhip resists the urge to grab Pix by the sandy (it's blue-gray) shirt, like a really small child afraid of losing a parent at the festival. "I do need some fresh air from time to time," Fwhip adds more quietly, still hoping to keep his voice light-hearted, but, judging by Pix’s look, failing catastrophically. Pix looks at him closely, but not as intensely as, for example, Scott, with his magic eye, or Gem, with the carefree attitude of a princess, but with hawk's sight. Pix’s gaze is soothing, like a heavy blanket after a nervous day, like a mug of warm milk before bed, like the quiet dance of stars in the night sky. And just as centuries ago, people looked at the sky and looked for constellations, so Pix is always looking for something in someone else’s soul. With the precision of an archaeologist, he unearths long-forgotten (or buried) emotions, and Fwhip has always taken this as a challenge.

I have nothing to hide! Here I am!

But today, under Pix's magnifying glass, something too forgotten turned out to be, something that Fwhip was not ready to face. This something had a taste of redstone, gunpowder, and for some reason sand. The sand got into his teeth, into his nose, into his eyes, and that’s probably why Fwhip found that his eyes were watering. He nuzzles his nose into Pix’s shirt (it’s blue-gray), and he smells of copper - he was working on the copper aging machine underground. And this smell also calms, but for some reason, the tears keep flowing and flowing.

"I’m not going anywhere," Pix says quietly, hugging Fwhip back. And there is no consolation in the voice, only a promise, as if he was going somewhere, but changed his mind. And Fwhip believes, he nods his head, as if agreeing with the decision, and holds Pix even tighter.

A thousand years ago, these same hands could not find a sand shirt to hug and cry into. A thousand years ago, Fwhip stood alone in the middle of a desert that stretched for thousands of miles around him and wept alone. A thousand years ago, Pix voluntarily disappeared into the desert. A thousand years ago his friend did not return.

"I'm here," Pix says again as Fwhip calms down under the setting sun. The night embraced friends.

#1 Zeus Cabin: Jimmy, Joel Jimmy: He's a Zeus kid, but everyone somehow forgets about it. Joel: He's competitive and strong. Also, because Jimmy is his half brother through godly parent, i get to make a fun bit about him dating Lizzie. And one of his origins in Afterlife SMP was a thunderborn

#2 Hera Cabin: Scott Scott: Scott's whole thing is loyalty. Hera is the goddess of marriage and is insanely loyal to Zeus. However, I feel like Hera should get at least one affair. So now Scott can use peacocks as weapons.

#3 Poseidon Cabin: Skizz Skizz: Poseidon kids tend to be really, really loyal to a fault and heroic, both qualities I think Skizz possesses.

#4 Demeter Cabin: Sausage, Shelby, Bdubs, Stress Sausage: This man built Sanctuary in a jungle and has flowers in his hair. He sells wood. There is no other place to put him. Shelby: Mushroom gnome, spooky mangrove witch, powerful storm witch, i need not continue. Bdubs: Moss man. Stress: SHE HAS FLOWERS

#5 Ares Cabin: Martyn, False Martyn: His planet is Mars, which is the roman version of Ares. He ended Limited Life in such a violent way, i can't help it. He was also red for the majority of Secret Life. False: I just feel like False should get to kill people more often.

#6 Athena Cabin: Grian, Pix, Owen, Xisuma Grian: This sums it up pretty well

Pix: Smart man. Archeologist and definitely a nerd. I wanna see him skipping out on training just so he can read history books. Owen: He likes to explore and discover new things in Pirates. In Rats, he's a tinkerer. In New Life, he's an explorer who wants to study hybrids. In Empires, he's a Llama who's curious about how humans work. Just a very curious character overall. Xisuma: Admin. I'm not elaborating.

#7 Apollo Cabin: Gem, Oli, Lyarrah Gem: She is an Apollo kid because of her Empire in S2. She's the sunlight princess. Apollo kid. Oli: MUSIC. MAN. Lyarrah: She writes the captions for the hermitcraft recap.

#8 Artemis Cabin: Pearl Pearl: Y'know, Artemis could've just like... had a kid, even though she took that oath. It wouldn't even have to be with a guy. Gods can change to whatever gender they want. Anyway, Pearl gets to be an Artemis kid because her symbolism is moon, she loves dogs, and will commit murder and hunt at night.

#9 Hephaestus Cabin: Doc, Mumbo, Tango, Impulse, Cub, Zedaph, Fwhip, Iskall Doc: Redstone Mumbo: Redstone Tango: Redstone Impulse: Redstone Cub: Redstone Zedaph: Redstone Fwhip: Redstone AND has a red scarf (don't ask me how that's relevant) Iskall: Redstone

#10 Aphrodite Cabin: Keralis Keralis: Okay, I don't know why, but Keralis gives me the vibes of a very charming person. His voice is nice to listen to, so imagine how useful it'd be if I gave him charm speak.

#11 Hermes Cabin: Scar, Etho, Joe Scar: Trader Scar, scammer extraordinar. Etho: All i must say is Shady-E's. I get "jack-of-all-trades, master of none, often better than master of one" vibes from him. He's funny, he's mischievous, it just works. Joe: Comedy man. Excellent delivery. And, yet again, i look at this man and go "That right there is a multi-talented man with a habit for mischief."

#12 Dionysus Cabin: Joey, Beef Joey: *points at his season one empires theme* i need not say more Beef: Idk, food. I don't really have a reason. I don't know too much about Beef.

#13 Hades Cabin: Zloy Zloy: Zombie man. He writes the Hermitcraft recaps in the dark at 2am with nothing but pure spite.

#14 Iris Cabin: Katherine Katherine: SHE. HAS. COLORS. and also I couldn't put her in Demeter cabin because Shelby is already there and i am NOT excluding Nature Wives from this au

#15 Hypnos Cabin: Bigb, XB, Wels Bigb: Sleepy stuff, right? WRONG. Gaslight. Go in everyones dreams, make fake prophecies, peace out, and cause chaos. XB: I look at his fanon design, I see an alien, and I go "aha he sleeps" Wels: This guy (@dingdinghq) said so and i completely agree. Something about sleeping in S6.

#17 Nike Cabin: Ren Ren: VICTORY. I don't know much about Ren's story in the Life Series, but I look at this man and see someone who has won a lot.
