See my vision for alice/gwen is it starts as stress relief for gwen and a way for alice to try and forget about her ex who she still works with but gradually the arguments at work become so sexually charged that their choices are either to keep denying anything is going on or to lean all the way into it and make the whole work situation uncomfortable for everyone Else and you KNOW that's the option they are choosing. they share a commitment to the bit. so for three months alice brings gwen heart shaped pb&j sandwiches for lunch (gwen hates pb&j but no one else knows that) and they call each other pet names. until the whole thing implodes and they're forced to admit, possibly in a life-or-death moment (the only way either of them would ever express a genuine feeling), that they like each other a little.
