11. Favorite comment you've ever received on your work?

well, a friend of a friend called catboy croptop keith windham 'questionable but delightful', and I liked that so much that I put it in my blog header, where it remains to this day. other memorable highlights have included 'frog boy prohibited from fucking,' 'you are always drawing women who look like men and men who look like women,' 'at the finish line with a sign waiting for love to win,' 'I AM PUTTING THIS IN MY MOUTH' (and other things to that effect), 'so tumblr wizard rp to me'... really I am simply joyed by quite nearly everything people say about my artwork!

17. What inspires you?

books, mostly... but to expand upon that, folklore, landscapes (particularly the oak savannah and the sea), history and tradition, playing catch with ideas with friends, ghost stories, other people's writing, older book-illustrators like john r. neill and tasha tudor and adrienne adams and pauline baynes (and modern ones, like martin brown aka the horrible histories guy!)

21. Weirdest thing you've ever drawn?

hm... we've got options here. I think weird is definitely subjective, but some that I'd put on the list are probably one of my high school math teachers dressed as dwayne the rock johnson as he appeared in jumanji, the concept of 'what if gerard depardieu was in homestuck,' old man tenderly embracing a barrel of condensed milk, 'emotional support swimming pool full of human blood,' justin bieber being trampled to death by sauropods and wild horses...

these are mostly from quite a while ago, but the most recently drawn thing in that assortment is from 2021, and I will not tell you which one it is.

So apparent in addition to NCT and SKZ, I associate you with Megan Thee Stallion, because I just saw a clip where Dwayne Johnson was asked whose celebrity pet he would like to be, and he answer Megan with zero hesitation, and my first thought was to tell you. The interviewer asked why and he replied “ohhh we don’t need to talk about that”. Clearly he’s a man that Gets It. 🐖🐇

That is the biggest compliment I've ever heard. I want nothing more that to be associated with Megan the Stallion. And The Rock, gets it. He understands. He doesn't need to explain himself. We all know what he means. Kinda reminds me of Frankie Muniz & Lizzo

Height: Taller than my older sister and that’s all that matters.

Last movie I saw: Into the Spiderverse (as excellent as everyone says)

Last thing I googled: Literally my Chinese zodiac to double check lol

Favourite musician: I don’t really have favourites and I listen to all genres, but anyone who is a good person IRL, sings/composes on a diversity of themes/styles/genres, tries new things with their music gets my listen (yes, I love Gaga and Beyonce).

Song stuck in my head: For some reason I had Dwayne Johnson’s “You’re welcome” stuck in my head all plane ride home and I only know one bar of the song, so I made the rest up myself.

Other blogs: @bellsybuilds​ (writing blog) and the nsfw which I keep for reference but is unsearchable anymore after the Great Purge. I don’t link them in the header so it’s 5% harder for my IRL friends to find when they pass through on a blue moon. XD

What I’m wearing: My undergrad university’s printed long-sleeve bc old uni threads make the best PJs.

Dream job: Living six months a piece in the two countries of my heart, consulting, researching and writing across academic, government and creative industries. Not too far off this goal atm, but I need to get over my fear of success because the last time I pursued a big project, it took a lot out of me.

Dream trip: Blizzcon. I want to be there for the Overwatch world cup final. This is a dream bc my sister and my work schedules make this look almost impossible for the next few years (we are OWL-obsessed, it’s the only sport we follow).

Favourite food: All food is beautiful and delicious, unless your name is haggis, get off my plate.

Play any instruments: Piano (fairly), guitar (like a noob), and I sing.

Languages: English (fluently), Samoan and French (conversationally), Cebuano (basically).

Favourite songs: Currently -- Alexander Lewis - Clockwise (feat. Nick Row) bc the drop is so mean, the Pop/Stars & Mic Drop mash-up (by K/DA and BTS) is still sick months after the fact, Shawn Mendes  - "Youth" ft. Khalid because it’s just beautiful and so necessary, Billie Eilish - lovely (Lyrics) ft. Khalid bc the intro reminds me of what I love from Ludovico Einaudi and the lyrics are wonderful.

Random fact: I just returned from a month’s holiday and am trying to contend with the idea I might have accidentally fallen for one of my friends while I was over there.

Describe yourself as aesthetic things: The space at IKEA where you can fork into five types of bedroom display suites, they’re comfy and diverse, whatever you need at any one time, but you can’t shit in any of the toilets; I’m pretty adaptable depending on the situation and I try to live by principle of “do no harm, but take no shit”.
