In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, while promoting St-Germain's Hugo Spritz, Sophie told us her recipe for a Hot Girl Summer:

“My recipe for a hot girl summer is pretty much playing with my kids [Willa, three, and Delphine, one], hanging out with my best friends, drinking some cocktails—you know, which ones—and enjoying the sun, long may it last. And that's precisely what she's doing this Summer, enjoying the sun at green polo lawns, presenting trophies to polo winners, having barbecues and lot of spritzes with her besties, and canoodling with her boyfriend in corners at music festivals. Let's see:

PIGGYBACK RIDE 🏇

Short after Sophie posted a few pics of her romantic picnic with Perry in the English countryside, the British & international press made public more pics from that day.

The pics are from June 29, 2024, during a day of polo at Cowdray Park Polo Club, part of Perry's family estate in West Sussex.

In the pictures we can see Perry taking Sophie on a piggyback ride across the polo lawns, joined by one of Perry's sisters:

On Sunday, July 21, 2024, Sophie and Perry were seen together again at Cowdray Park Polo Club, in West Sussex, attending the final match of the British Open for the Cowdray Gold Cup.

The event was so packed that Sophie had to sit on Perry's lap 🤭

A very comfortable seat it seems . . . . 😉

Which reminds me of a funny interaction I found on twitter about the last picture, where someone mentioned that Perry "is touching some sideboob" 😜😂 But they are right 👀🤭

Indeed! Emulating the fair ladies awarding the jousting champions from medieval times, Sophie played the role of the Queen of Love and Beauty and presented the Gold Cup to the champion team:

On a recent Q&A with The Cut, Sophie talked about having a Brat Girl Summer:

Are you having a hot-girl summer? I mean, I’d like to think I’m having a hot-girl summer. But I don’t know if you can say that about yourself. I feel like I am, though. Or maybe even a Brat-girl summer?  Yeah, I think I’m having more of a Brat-girl summer. I don’t fully understand what it means, but I am listening to the album. So I guess that counts as me having a Brat-girl summer. —The Cut

And indeed she's listening to Charli XCX's "Brat" Album: On Saturday, July 27, 2024, she posted an IG story titled "Brat Summer Unlocked," where we can see her dancing to the rhythm of Charli XCX's Apple with her besties:

I was super glad to know that Sophie was having quality time with her best friends, but what really caught my eyes was the long, gold necklace she was wearing in the video. Because I think that's Perry's Cowdray necklace, the one with his family estate sigil logo:

But the really cute detail about Sophie wearing her boyfriend's necklace is that, according to the tale a little bird told me, Perry wasn't in the UK that weekend, since he was staying with his family in another country. So he basically left his necklace with his girl as a token of love during his absence.

They are too sweet, I swear I can't 😭

A WEEKEND IN THE WILDERNESS

On the first weekend of August 2024, The Gentleman's Journal hosted a Summer event that started with a Lunch at Blenheim Palace, a visit to the Wilderness Festival, and accommodation at Estelle Manor.

There's no pictures of Sophie and Perry at Blenheim Palace, just a few pics of Perry with some of his friends, including Rupert Gorst and Sascha von Bismarck. But Rupert & Sascha are precisely the ones that Sophie captured on an IG Story at the Wilderness Festival:

And we may not have pictures of the lovebirds during that weekend, but thanks to British Vogue, The Standard and HELLO! UK, we have a few reports of them together at the Wilderness Festival:

The heatwave might be your death, but there are a few people in your life that own homes with AC. But be careful, they might not have the purest of intentions for inviting you over!

Neighbor Curtis: He was smart enough to install an AC when he moved in. Late one night he saw you lying on the grass outside in an effort to cool down and took his chance to talk to you. The encounter may seem random but the truth is he's been watching you for a while.

Boss Ransom: The lack of sleep has unfortunately impacted your work. At first Ransom is irritated but when you explain what's going on he puts on his best smile and describes all the cool refreshing places to sleep in his mansion. After all, you're the reason he decided to buy the business where you're working.

Friend of a friend Ari: When you complain at a friendly get-together about how insufferable you find the heat he very smoothly invites you to stay at his place. As long as you like! He has a spare room in his basement that he usually sleeps in during the hot summer nights, but you're more than welcome to join him.

Step-brother Steve: When your dad remarried late in life you gained a step-brother you never asked for. Steve is nice… sometimes too nice! He's been messaging you every other day since he learned about your troubles at the monthly family dinner. And you're so close to giving in but there is just something about Steve's niceness that gives you the not-good shivers.

Where will you decide to stay? ☀️

Well, Steve is out right away, because incest, including step-incest is a big big NO for me.

Ransom is my boss and I'd rather, at least at first, avoid crossing such boundaries.

Curtis is a tempting choice. He's a neighbor, so I wouldn't have to be far from home, right? And other neighbors know him too.

But then you went in and so subtly included basement wife kink with Ari 😏

So now I have to think, if I really want to be locked in the basement, or maybe in the upstairs with Curtis. At least that allows me to view the world outside.

What if...

Friend of a friend Ari has this spare and fully renovated basement studio apartment and it just so happens to be in the house he lives in with his brother... Curtis. Oh look at that! We're neighbors, really? Who would've thought? Now that's just was meant to be! Both Curtis inviting me to cool down with some AC on and Ari offering to let me stay for the unbearable heatwave nights.

Only that the summer heat will become a forgotten thing, incomparable really, to the hotness of being ruined by the two of them 🥵

First in that basement room, until they break you in and shape you into the obedient, sweet toy. Then, when you're a good girl and successfully bred, they will move you upstairs 😌

☀️ - What "Summer" Weather is your and your F/Os favorite?

slade is immune to heat thanks to already having a body temp of like 105 or 110. i forget what priest said in that little pre rebirth blurb outside of 'soldier serum makes him run hot and makes him immune to viruses because they just die immediately'. i figure it also means he's not as bothered by high heats because of it. it ALSO probably means he gets chilly easier but you know he wont admit it.

norman likes summer because he can finally be comfortable inside his own house again. i'll leave the a/c at around 71-73 depending. during the winter i make him suffer by refusing to turn the heat up past a certain point because "FUCK YOU WE'RE ON COMFY COZY LOCKDOWN. PUT ON PANTS."

🏖️ - What beach type do you and your F/O prefer Stone, Tropical, Lake, River, or Sandy?

there is a nice lake not far from the vermont house that slade and i visit a lot and also the rivers for forg hunting.

not to be american on maine again but. hammed borger. slade and i fighting for control of the grill at all times.

again i am a heat intolerant ass bitch so any trips slade and i plan are for the cooler months. it's also why he only gets me to the kenya ranch a few times. girl it's fucking hot.

norman's less of a 'trips at certain times' type and more of, again, a bougie ass bitch who will say things like "there's this restaurant in spain i haven't been to in a while do you want to head over there this weekend?" to which i say "never say shit like that to me again".

slade can camp in any conditions but honestly, he prefers cabins or RVs because "i did enough fucking tent camping when uncle sam was paying me i'm not doing it for free". (still brings mres though. fucking boot.)

norman thinks staying at a sandals resort is camping.

which i can't actually bully either of them about it too much bc despite how much i enjoy tent camping my health issues mean i just. am unable to do it. even in a smaller campground and a choice spot close to the bathrooms it's just not possible.

heat intolerant ass bitch, yes i do. that said i like the evenings when the heat is dying off and there's a nice breeze. slade is a freak who will jog in the heat of the day because again, he's moderately immune to it.

norman dislikes being in the heat because he's a spoiled brat. one time the a/c broke in the upper floors of oscorp and he was so unhinged about it we all wished he'd just go goblin mode for a bit because that was less annoying.

💅 - How do y'all pamper yourselves for summer?

slade and i don't really do anything different.

norman thinks walking three blocks in summer heat warrants a spa day.

🕐 - How late do y'all sleep in on vacation?

slade is a freak that doesn't usually sleep in the normal sense anyway but can also only pretend to be dozing for so long before he forces me out of bed (barring any horrors meaning i need rest).

i think norman is unable to sleep in just because he's always on The Grind. if we're actually on a vacation it probably makes him so mad. i wake up at 10AM and find him on the balcony of the condo white knuckling the railing.

🎪 - Do y'all have carnivals during this time? If so, what is your favorite rides/activities at the carnival?

i love a good fair!! sure the rides are dubiously maintained and you could die but that's part of the fucking fun! slade can't resist occasionally hustling a carnie at a shooting game because they see a one eyed man approaching and go "lmao. easy mark."

norman doesn't enjoy fairs like i do but he indulges me regardless. he's not as good at babysitting me as slade is and finds himself walking back from the bathroom in time to catch me wolfing down the last of a funnel cake or something else full of gluten and fried that i'm not supposed to eat.

Street Woman Fighter

I'm not sure why I didn’t watch the episodes as they came out last year, but I’m so mad I didn’t! these ladies slay and I'm so happy that dancers have been getting more recognition through this show. I want Monica to be my mom and Lip J to be my auntie. everyone in this show is so COOL I can’t even describe how awestruck I am with them all. Aiki - give me one chance PLEASE

I've tried to watch this show a few times - with my sister, by myself, but for some reason or another did not continue watching it. I restarted it again because my lovely friend loves it and recommended I watch it - so I did :) it’s super cute and also has me missing my volleyball days >:(

Stranger Things (season 4)

I'm sure this has been on a lot of people’s watchlist - I actually wasn’t planning on watching this season, but saw the clip from that one scene in ep 4 and I changed my mind. Either this or season 3 has been the best so far, but I can’t say just yet because I’m still waiting on the second part! Sadie sink supremacy.

AKASHI

As per his father’s suggestion, he works at his family’s company for the summer. His job consists of mostly paperwork.

Visits his mother’s grave more often. Truthfully, he’d visit everyday if he could. Leaves her with a bouquet of peonies every time.

Travels abroad (for leisure) at least once. While he does fly internationally to nearby countries such as Singapore and Hong Kong for business meetings, Akashi absolutely loves visiting Europe during the summer.

Visits historical monuments in Europe: Anne Frank’s house, the Leaning Tower, Vatican City, etc

INTERNATIONAL PLAYBOY Quite a few foreign girls he spoke to (asking for directions mostly) found him cute, he’s just so much of a gentleman

He also keeps a travel log/diary for his musings. And yes, he goes on trips alone, unless one of his friends want to tag along. (Kuroko actually went on a short trip to Bangkok with him as they had the same flight so might as well hang out right?)

Buys souvenirs for his friends abroad

Sends Kuroko and Midorima postcards because he knows they’re probably the only ones who’ll treasure it lol

Buys Momoi the Ladurée macarons she’s been craving for from Paris

Contrary to what most people think, he travels more often with the Rakuzan team due to their summer training programs cross-country or overseas

During the beach trip with the rest of GOM, he mostly hung out under a huge parasol, playing shots with Midorima

Participates in a sandcastle building competition and wins first place

Hold a party in his private yacht

AOMINE

Street ball all day!!

Since it’s relatively hotter during the summer, he sometimes takes off his shirt when he plays basketball

ABS PARTY

“Why are there so many girls” “Oh”

Attends a KPOP concert with Satsuki who’s utterly obsessed with BTS

Actually enjoys it and occasionally listens to their songs 

His favorite is Fire and all the parts of Cypher 

Doesn’t have a bias 

 But he adores girl groups especially SNSD ;) I’m sure you know why

Excited to go to the beach the most! He was waiting for that out-of-town trip to the beach ever since Kise suggested it in the Teiko group chat 

“Hey guys I’m still waiting on that trip ?” Why he wants to go to the beach:

To see hot babes 

To swim

Catch crabs 

Has a crabs catching competition with Kise and Kagami at the beach 

Competes with Kagami at every instant they can get wtf control these two

CURRENT SCORESHEET (WINNERS): 

Ate the most oranges in 5 mins: Kagami

Crab hunting: Aomine

They eventually ran out of things to compete against but Aomine won through arm wrestling 

 Goes scuba diving and saves Kuroko from drowning

KISE

Has been planning for summer 2k1x forever.

Goes to the mall to shop for his OOTDs for the coming trips ahead

Kise Ryouta just posted on Instagram: “Summer body ready ☀️😎 #summerbod #kiseryouta #shalala #yellow”

His modeling agency urges him to do a beach photoshoot for a magazine

When he’s bored, he runs to Kuroko’s house to pester him

“Aominecchi where are u ?? let’s play ball ( ° ∀ ° )ﾉﾞ”

Actually goes on an Asian tour with his sisters. They mostly just shopped and took selfies though

Is the designated DJ for the GOM’s roadtrip to the beach so he’s plopped himself at the shotgun seat

At the beach, so many girls flocked him he could barely get some peace

He’s an actual celebrity to be honest, there’ll be press covering the entire thing and he’ll be all over social media and news sites along with his beach bod photos

Skincare is important: wears SPF and regularly reapplies it

TRIES ALL THE WATER SPORTS?? WTF HE EVEN GOT HIS OWN FAN CLUB BY THE SHORE CHEERING HIM ON

Goes jet skiing and wears shades while doing it.

KUROKO

Hoards his home library with all the books he’s planning to read all summer

Teaches Nigou some tricks and they go to the park everyday to jog and just hang out

Prefers local trips vs international ones. However, his plans did a 360 when Kagami invited him to the US

Goes to America with Kagami. Just the two of them! He learns a decent bit of English too.

I can’t disclose much about what happened on their trip because apparently “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” WELP OK UR UNDERAGE THO LOL

Gains a few pounds after returning from Uncle Sam. Those vanilla milkshakes came in such large portions!

Starts a Tumblr meme account; occasionally sends memes to the Teiko group chat and Kagami when he’s had enough of their shit

Got a haircut and dyed his hair red to mock Akashi and Kagami properly

MIDORIMA

His name is Midorima Shintaro and rest and relaxation is his purpose this summer

Unfortunately, Takao exists and will not let him have it

Plans an itinerary to visit all the museums in the metro

Of course Takao has to come along too 

“This is really boring Shin-chan! Why don’t we go to the arcade instead?” 

Obtains his driver’s license!! He’s a rather careful driver :)

Gives his younger sister piano lessons at least twice a week

Volunteered at a clinic for a week where he aided injured children, senile elderly

It really tested his patience hahaha.

Gets addicted to a console game and plays it consistently every night

Finishes everything (all stages and levels) in two nights

Feels empty afterwards “what do I do with my life now”

READS MEDICAL BOOKS IN ADVANCE (but he does so in secret ok)

His basic medical knowledge helped when Kuroko almost drowned

Yeah he gave Kuroko CPR

HE HAD NO CHOICE OKAY! KUROKO WAS DYING!

He was a blushing mess for the rest of the trip

Tried waterskiing and he’s pretty good~ he only fell off once

With only his beach trunks on, his broad shoulders are attracting some attention from the ladies

He once heard a bunch of girls giggling about how handsome he is at the hotel they were staying in and he was so embarrassed

Some college girls tried to flirt with him too lmao his nose just bled

MURASAKIBARA

Sleeps a lot. He was off the radar too much, Himuro had to visit him to make sure he was still alive

“I really have to stop sleeping too much”

“Meh”

After much convincing from his siblings, he finally toned down his siesta sessions.

Instead, he devoted himself to baking

He’ll bake anything: cakes, cookies, cupcakes, you name it and he’ll make it!

LOL he was the one who ate most of what he baked though

He started selling them after Himuro suggested “Atsushi, this is really good you can make money out of this”

Opened an online store: “Sushi’s Pastries”

Actually accepts payment in maiubo form lol

At the end of the break, he had plenty of money, money which he didn’t reinvest but instead used to buy more of his snacks

Is 100% satisfied with himself

Grows 2 more inches… taller ;)

At the beach, people often hid behind him because he was such an effective shield from the harmful rays of the sun

Is being ridden by children in the ocean

Loves diving into the sea because he’s so huge and it makes enormous ripples of water on impact

Wears a floatie and falls asleep in the ocean lol

Actually gets sea sick at Akashi’s yacht albeit it was docked. Didn’t vomit, just ate more to make himself feel better

Hung out with Momoi at the beach the most

TANAKA

Practice enough so that he can finally beat Kise Ryouta fair and square

Is actually also a student in Kaijo and constantly stalks Kise in social media

OGIWARA

Visits Kuroko and they finally get to play basketball again lol

Gets introduced to the GOM and feels a bit intimidated
