dunmeshi dnd campaign

thistle as the dm of course. they're a very exacting dm who actually makes them keep track of shit like how much their packs weigh and how much XP they get with each monster they kill and EXACTLY how much money they have down to the last copper piece, and they made up the resurrection curse situation bc they want to be able to kill the pcs but they don't want the players to have to write new ones every time

our party has been playing together for a while when suddenly falin is really busy with a work project so she can't play for a few weeks. thistle is like "no worries I'll just have you get eaten by a dragon <3"

marcille has a bunch of high-level spells that she got because she thought they would be cool but she never fucking gets the chance to use them. all she uses is level 3 fireball

some people say dnd is about writing a story together but chilchuck is in this to win. he's always calling the rest of them nerds for knowing all about this dnd stuff even though he's Also Here, Playing DnD

unbeknownst to the rest of them laios has been an active part of some avid online discussions lately about which dnd monsters would be the best to eat. and that's where he met senshi, they became friends online, and when they found out they lived near each other + falin had to take a break laios invited senshi to join the new campaign

senshi hasn't played dnd in years but he's really missed it!!! and he still has his character all ready to go

thistle runs a couple oneshots with kabru to try to help him level up and he keeps fucking dying because he put all his points into charisma

I was debating what role I should give them, but Mitsumi is perfect as a knight Shima could have been an archer but the staff suits the compostion better so i went with this i wonder what roles the others would have

- theyre all human because its an irl au thing

- senshi plays as senshi. he chose to play as a dwarf because they seemed sturdy

- marcille is playing as an elf because her favorite book series character is an elf (falin also commented that elves seemed cool)

- chilchuck would probably not play as a halfling if given the chance to choose! his character is premade because he doesnt take dnd super seriously but its a nice escape from his day to day routine.

+ laios made his sheet a halfling rogue because the party needed someone with high stealth and halfling rogue is a classic combo

++ laios isnt interested in character pc's all too much which he knows is an issue as a dm but he cant help it

- laios's sessions are VERY dungeon crawl-y and pose different challenges that can be defeated by the different players skillsets

i have some ideas for itsuzumi's character but im not 100% on any of them yet

I like the modern Delicious in Dungeon au’s where the story takes place in a DnD campaign + Thistle being the DM.

I have a proposal, an inkling, a fruit of thought perchance.

Laios makes Falin into a support character instead of her playing their campaign for a couple of weeks and dropping it (whatever reason). Because, that’s my sister and she’s awesome :)

Thistle doesn’t mind however with Laios eating all of his monsters he’s like, “you cock muncher,” and purposely kills off ‘Falin’ and turns her into the chimera they have to encounter eventually

Okay so it’s modern no powers etc, and all the events ALL THE EVENTS in the canon story still happen, but it’s dnd and they’re all just nerds playing dnd.

Because of that one fanart I’ve decided that Thistle is infact the dungeon master

They all have normal names like Larry or Charles- they’re just normal people who are nerds guys

Ranking fandoms I'm in with monsters, Based on Dungeon Meshi standards

Undertale/ Deltarune/ Undertale AUs: 0/10. The monsters turn to dust upon death, and it tastes of ashes

Pokémon: 8/10. People do eat Pokémon in the canon I think, but there are Pokémon made of literal trash, and I don't believe you can eat ghosts.

MHA: Nomus are just corpses. Like that is a human who died and had multiple quirks shoved into them, then revived

Resident Evil: 0/10. It's rotting flesh, if not some kind of virus.

Gravity Falls: 6/10. There is a variety of choices, but also some zombies and ghosts. With Bill Cipher, though, it would be hard to eat a 2-D form

DND: N/A. Have only played the starter set

MLP: 5/10. Timberwolves are a pain, but anything else is a whole other deal.

Cult of the Lamb: 4/10 some are humanoid, but the creatures themselves are tricky to cut. The bishops, beside Narinder: 9 out of 10. Lot of meat on them, and you could add sauce with Kallamar, berries with Leshy, and the menticide mushrooms, but cook them first, for Heket. Shamura has more chitin then meat, so 3/10

Terraria and Minecraft: 8/10 WIDE variety of beasts, but also zombies and ghosts

DOOM:10/10. They're tough to kill, but the demons provide a lot of meat and come precooked, being from Hell

Between my own DnD campaing, Baldur's Gate 3, DunMeshi and Vox Machina, I'm a sucker for this AU. I needed to draw again something for it, and put Alastor in some cute elvish clothing from Dungeon Meshi! Inspired on Marcille and The Canary. Feat, of course, some RadioApple ;)

Goku- werewolf

ChiChi- harpy

ChiChi is a harpy princess who was shot by something that she can't remember whilst trying to flee from her kingdom that's under attack which she wakes up to Goku

Goku is a werewolf who likes to travel along the forest and explore other places while also tending the wounded as much as he can. In said traveling he stumbles upon ChiChi

Goku offers to help ChiChi get back to her kingdom whilst meeting others who tag along the journey. (which will as soon as I figure out the different species of everybody else)

~~DAY 18: SWAP~~ also technically could count as a day 17's dnd chart lol for this day, i embraced my characters' dnd roots and made a dunmeshi-style race swap chart for them. i severely underestimated the amount of work it would take but on the bright side it made me realize that some of my characters' designs are a bit too similar to each other soooo another redesign might be in order.
