I've just returned home from a trip there to see the dueling dinosaurs exhibit which is SO FUCKING COOL!!! They're actively working on the fossils right there in front of you, you're in the same room as this amazing piece of history!!!

Most of the tyrannosaur's body inside the lab, the tail has been separated. Incase you don't know, the dueling dinosaurs is a fossil that was found in Montana. The fossil contains the remains of an old diseased triceratops and a young unknown tyrannosaur species together. It's unknown currently how they ended up here but a popular theory is that they fell in battle, the tyrannosaur attacking the triceratops before suffering a fatal hit to the head, the triceratops falling soon after from weakness and the attack. That's why it has been named the dueling dinosaurs.

Flowers outside the museum with a bee!!! One thing the museum also does is it has gardens of native flowers for bees to pollinate outside. Because of this you can always find atleast a couppe bees flying around the flowers that they know and love.

Beetles eating away a carcass. They also utilize beetles to eat away at the bodies of dead animals, as not to waste the animals remains while also being able to get the skeleton, which I think is such a good way to do it.

I forgot what the said this was but it looks like part of the triceratops' leg. I genuinely love it at the museum so much and if you have the time I definitely recommend going. Museum admissions and tickets to the exhibit are both free and absolutely worth the trip.

Just went and saw the new Dueling Dinosaurs exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. It was very exciting seeing some of my classmates in the exhibit/in the lab. I’m curious how the exhibit will age as more research into the Dueling Dinosaurs is done. I might post some of my pictures of the exhibit later.

I think it's an important fossil and its a fucking miracle it is finally going to be on display for the public. fossils belong to everyone, period. they are our global heritage. we are all the product of everything that came before us, and we all deserve to partake of it equally.

Beyond that, I want to see the specimen in person before I say more, which I haven't yet, so yeah. Stay tuned.

I kinda feel bad for these two

Ghost Kotsuzuka & Dinosaur Ryuzaki. Neither were really that bad but one got murdered by a psychopathic demonic spirit for shits and giggles while the other was turned into a massive asshole loser in the anime.

Kotsuzuka hasn't really done anything to warrant the "punishment" he got from Dark Bakura. He was a weak willed lackey of Bandit Keith and he just wanted to participate in the finals of Battle City. Then Dark Bakura came and outright killed him in the manga after their duel while in the anime he sends him (and the other two goons) to literal hell. Poor guy.

Ryuzaki wasn't that much of a jerk in the manga. Arrogant and cocky, sure, but what duelist isn't? He disappears from the manga during Jonouchi's duel with Esper Roba. There was nothing about him that would imply that he gets along with Haga or that he was an asshole even at the height of his fame. But the anime makes those two partners in crime and its just...I dunno.

Ryuzaki deserves better than that.

I know they're already trapped in cyberspace as it is, but I never understood why Sarina turned Syrus and Hassleberry into a dinosaur and a car as opposed to like, locking them up in there or actually putting them in danger? Like if you want the stakes to feel actually important to the duel like maybe I should actually have to worry about what will happen to them if Jaden and Aster lose...?

I dunno it doesn't really matter, like obviously it's entirely possible that the thing is just that they're just bait for Jaden so it doesn't really matter what she does with them because all she needs is to get Jaden and Aster there so she can test them in a duel so once they get there Sy and Hassleberry don't really matter anymore at that point. But I just think about this kinda stuff y'know? I'm a fanfic writer haha
