accidentally prompted myself to reconsider the lotmv story, so thats fun
the premise, such that it was, was that Seora was a demigod of light, and had funky light magic. And there was a weird magical darkness that had corrupted the land, and she was one of a whole class of people who keep it at bay. But that 'bay' is pretty politicised, and at some point the whole forced to live with the magical darkness kidnap Seora to make her fix things for them. And then a whole lot of shit happens.
And that's... fine? i guess. but i think it could be better, and part of that is just. telling the big grand politics angle to leave. there was a lot of weird geopolitics happening and we dont need that.
the changes arent unprecedented, since i tried to fix the story earlier too lmao.
what i think id prefer is something a bit more. social?
In a reconsidered lotmv, Seora is still a light demigod, and still has these very specific duties that she's been practically raised for since birth. There's strict duties and hierarchies and so on, things she can and cant do. She has a 'boyfriend', a bodyguard called Roderick, who has absolutely has no interest in but cannot very well reject, because to do so would be stepping out of the social agreement. it would cause problems for them both, but mostly for her. So she's stuck in her job, and in a "relationship".
At some point, she is contacted by Esther, who is a member of a group trying to fix the magic goop problem - a group whose reasonable requests for aid keep being denied. The two start a very careful correspondence, each bound by the norms around them.
An idea comes into focus. Seora would like nothing more than to help them, but the binds of her position stay her hand. She cant do anything. And if she acts out and voices her support, she'll be stripped of whatever "authority" she had while remaining bound.
So, to get Seora into the correct locations, a kidnapping will be staged. The group will kidnap Seora, bring her back to their place, and "force" her to help them. Once she's done what she needs to do, the group will suddenly become amenable to any of the negotiations presented by Seora's people, and they'll return her. She'll not be harmed, her reputation will be preserved, everythings fine.
For the optics, to make it seem that she's unwilling, they'll need to play up some things. She understands this going in. That they'll need to skirt the line for the greater good. She has her part to play.
And what she doesnt reckon with, prior to agreeing to everything, is on falling in love with Esther. And Esther doesn't either.
And that's a problem. Because if Seora starts getting too comfortable, enjoys herself too much, then the whole part of the operation intended to preserve her reputation fails. Because, well, now she looks willing. And that defeats the whole point.
So the two of them are stuck in a complicated dance of the various expectations of them, what they need to do, what roles they have to serve, and what they want.
Because, for Esther, Seora's help is essential. She's the one person that was on board. They need her magical skills. Esther was willing to risk being caught kidnapping her, because the end goal is very important to her. And now she's in love. And that risks the whole fucking thing.
Strictly, this could have all been "present" in the original version of lotmv, but its a slight reframing to be about those expectations and complications. There's still the issue of what exactly Esther's group is, how they fit in/oppose Seora's. In the original, they're different countries. i feel like that still wooorks? two countries who are not on speaking terms, a group within that countries military (?) who feel they have no other choice. there's some little worldbuilding... bits that make things weird, but its workable, i think. maybe? idk

I half-seriously compared the 2023 Knights of the Zodiac film to the film adaptation of The Lightning Thief because both were Greek Mythology-inspired works with Sean Bean in a supporting role, but honestly comparing Saint Seiya to Percy Jackson and the Olympians does reveal some interesting things about the approach both works take to putting Greek Mythology in a modern setting. Most of these differences are definitely due to the divergent histories and cultures of both the United States and Japan.
Percy Jackson is very much rooted in Western history. It's a plot point that the Olympians now live North America because they represent the fundamental elements of Western Civilization and thus migrate to whichever Western country/region is the current superpower. Despite being a very American work, the Greek Gods are very close to the protagonists, living in Olympus at the top of the Empire State Building (and Los Angeles is on top of the Underworld, while San Francisco is where the Hesperides live). American history is also portrayed as inextricably linked to the world of gods and demigods--the American Civil War is revealed in The Heroes of Olympus to have been a front (so to speak) for a larger conflict between the Greek demigods and Roman demigods.
In comparison to that, Saint Seiya's worldbuilding treats the Greek Mythology elements as separate/cut-off from Seiya's Japan, save for a few connecting points, like Athena reincarnating as Saori, a girl who lives in Japan. Seiya has to go all the way to Greece to train and earn the Pegasus Cloth, and Sanctuary (who serve Athena and is where the Gold Saints reside) is portrayed as being firmly in Greece (from where they send their agents to antagonist the Bronze Saints, particularly in the anime where they want the Golden Helmet back) and at odds with the Japan-based protagonists. At the same time, there are hints that the Saints have influenced history like demigods did in Percy Jackson's world. But while Percy Jackson's worldbuilding says the Olympians and their children only really had influence on Western history, Saint Seiya does mention events firmly in Asian history (the fall of the Mongols, as the anime mentions at one point).
Another final point is that Riordan goes to great lengths to point out how the mythology of the Olympians is not the same as the Bible and Christianity. Percy asks about the existence of God in The Lightning Thief (the book) and gets a non-answer/"it's complicated" response. (Relatedly, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard features a Muslim Valkyrie, and she makes a point of saying that she doesn't see the Aesir as literal gods.) As I've commented before in another post, Seiya's lore liberally combines Christianity with Greek Mythology, whether it's just Mitsumasa Kido comparing being given Saori as an infant to Abraham's trials from God, to just Sanctuary being a fictional counterpart of the Vatican with a Pope and Saints, but where they venerate Athena instead of Mary, etc. The concept of Cosmo also feels very Eastern in its philosophy.
It's an interesting look at how two works can take inspiration from the same source, but then diverge in different ways due to being made in different countries and with other, divergent sources of inspiration.

Sonic Prime Moana AU
A loose combination of Sonic Prime and Moana based on this post:
https://at.tumblr.com/little-horror-girl-love/these-are-the-same-vibe/zyh17bwj0fi9
Disclaimer: Characters might be a bit ooc because.
Environment:
- Instead of making universes, the Paradox Prism makes islands/regions when Sonic breaks it
- New Yoke is a ship rather than a city (because I’d rather draw a boat than cities)
- The regions are as follows: The Grim, The Aquamarine, and The Jungle
- The mainland still exists after the Prism shatters, but it’s unbalanced and wacky without the prism absorbing all the extra chaos with it’s order piece for Green Hills
- Instead of being above ground, the Prism is hidden below ground
- Once it is shattered, its pieces fly out of the cave and form the islands
- Green Hills Island!!! With more mountains and also meadows
Basic Character Stuff
- Everyone wears either bandanas or necklaces because I said so
- Shadow takes on the demigod role, guarding over the island in the shadows, sometimes chatting with the others (but not much)
- He has a gold necklace with a smaller chaos emerald for his powers (its role is alike to Maui’s hook)
- Eggman (kind of like a smaller demigod?) hides in the mountains, always trying to sabotage the island due to a vendetta with Shadow
- The non-gods like Sonic can get blessings that are essential lowkey powers
- The difference is that the gods/demigods can do everything well but have specializations (Shadow’s are knowledge and strength and Eggman’s are knowledge and corruption/disorder)
Half developed plot (might change if I write a fic or something)
- All of them except shadow are quite the explorers although Sonic wants to venture on to new heights compared to the others
- He goes exploring in underground caves by himself despite being discouraged by his friends
- Sonic comes across Shadow standing by the Paradox Prism, sneaking in the shadows
- Suddenly Eggman grabs him and offers to trade his life for the prism in front of Shadow
- Shadow’s like “nope” and fights eggman, trying to retrieve Sonic without hurting him TOO MUCH
- Sonic (blessed with speed and strength unbeknownst to him) suddenly finds himself running very fast after escaping egg man’s grasp
- He is unsure of how to stop running and slams into the Paradox prism, much to Shadow’s and egg man’s dismay
- It breaks and creates chaos on Green Hills Island and creates the three new regions
- As the shards ricochet around, Shadow loses his necklace and Eggman takes it
- Shadow is very angry and Sonic offers to fix it
- Shadow reluctantly agrees to help him
- Sonic sees the chaos on the island before he leaves and explains part of what happened to his friends
- Shadow tells them how to survive and he and Sonic are off by boat
(The Grim Region)
- At first it’s very rocky and stormy
- They decided to wait on a small island until the storm calms
- They talk and get along for a moment
- Training montage for Sonic because I love that for them and for me
- Storm calms mostly, back to the Sea!
- Things go poorly in the grim after a run in with the New Yoke and it’s dystopian crew due to Sonic’s careless and inexperience
- Shadow only gets half of his emerald and half of his power back and storms off back to the island right before he and Sonic reach the Aquamarine
(The Aquamarine)
- Sonic is alone and sad, gets lost and picked up by the Dread and his crew
- Eventually The storm is back oh no
- The crew tries to gain control but their ship sinks
- Sonic tries to swim and calls out for help
- He sinks into the water and it all goes black >:0
- He wakes up drenched back on his boat with Shadow!!!
- They make up and get going again, Shadow got the crystal from the Aquamarine
- And then it’s into the jungle
(The Jungle$
- The greenery gets in the way crap, gotta get out of the boat
- They get hunted by two tribes (Amy variant with Knuckles and Birdie and Rouge Variant with Tails and Big) who then fight
- Shadow easily gets free and he and Sonic help the tribes get along again
- The tribes now one tribe lead them to the Jungle’s shard
- More journey, The New Yoke is back, Shadow and Sonic win!!!
- They get the Grim crystal
- As they go home they realize the crystal isn’t whole, keep searching, find nothing
- They gotta sacrifice the emerald to get home quickly (what a twist I know)
(Back to Green Hills)
- The island is in ruins nooo
- Basically huge team up of everyone ever
- Eggman with New Yoke crew and then everyone else on the other side
- Obviously everyone else wins and Eggman and co is chucked off the island
- Crystal whole with the Island stabilizer part
- All the regions combine WHOA
- happy end and shadow makes friends (especially with Sonic, could be interpreted as sonadow but like. Doesn’t matter it’s whatever you want it to be)
- The end Jesus CHRIST that was long
TLDR: Sonic prime au where Sonic prime meets Moana meets ooc characters. Shadow’s a demigod who defends the island against Eggman. Sonic fucks up and breaks the crystal. Shadow and Sonic go get the pieces and have conflict that gets resolved. The 4 crystal shards make three regions, the fourth being to keep order on Green Hills. Crystal piece unite and so do regions, happy times for everyone. Sonic and Shadow are best friends (yay!).

Working on a couple of ideas for long-term D&D campaigns to run sometime if I can get enough prep done and find players.
The first is Susurya, a world divided between three legendary demigods after their divine father retreated from the mortal realm: Prince Atlas of the bustling city, Queen Radojka of the sweeping wild, and Lady Deirdre of the stately palace. But the rulers are growing weary themselves, and their involvement in the world has diminished over the years - rumour has it that the oldest has already followed his father to the heavens. Now, the heroes discover evidence of a threat rising against their home, a force that can only be defeated by divine might. They must reunite the three demigods, bringing them together to fight evil as they did centuries ago. And, along the way, maybe find out where the Allfather went... Susurya is still very sketchily fleshed out and an open world by its nature, so I think I'll keep it on the back burner and first see if I can manage the other setting.
I'm calling the second the Dragon Trail, due to how the title of a certain classic video game (well, the card game version) looks when one is lying in bed and squinting up at a shelf. The path between two sides of the continent (name to be determined) has long been near-impassable overland, due to the presence of the dragon Thsh'zk'zynhar, the Living Mountain. Thsh'zk'zynhar claimed the continent's central mountain range as her territory, tolerating small settlements but demanding a heavy toll from travellers - if she didn't just decide to kill them and take everything. Until about fifty years ago, when the great dragon... vanished. It seemed too good to be true, at first, but traveller after traveller was able to navigate through the dreaded region safely. The locals found themselves free of demands for tribute and constraints on their lifestyle. Her lair, when explorers dared to breach it, was empty, hoard and wards intact with no sign its owner had left for any more than a routine hunt. By now, the new situation has been accepted by most. Trails have been cleared and towns established, with no more trouble than the usual hazards of environment or outlaw. What happened to the dragon? Most who remember the old days are willing to just accept their luck. The PCs are part of a wagon train travelling what is still known as the Dragon Trail, a journey which retains its fair share of excitement even with the largest threat gone. Each character has their own reason for seeking a new home and life, up to player discretion of course. Aside from PCs and their families, the train includes fellow-travellers such as reluctant leader Petruccio di Lorenzo and hardened scout Casilda Byrd, and will encounter allies like the secretive wanderer Zeke Mardian and enemies like the fierce bandit-queen Lady Luck. As well as other people to worry about, there's weather, landscape, and wildlife - and, of course, a powerful, dictatorial dragon, whose death was never officially confirmed...

Worldbuilding Wednesday | modern times + gods = ???
oohkay i don’t know how to worldbuild at all, and things in here probably have a lot of holes, but here i go-
featured: a general summary of how gods interact with humanity, (under the cut) some notes on their classifications, and why some inventions don’t exist
In general, the Earth of stealing gold is a mixture of modern times, but with the addition of actual, real life mythology and gods. What this means is that there are things like trains, phones, social media and cities etc, but things such as cars, high-rise skyscrapers and planes don’t. Why? Well.
The gods are treated with worship and awe, sure, but other than a few specific circumstances, the world generally believes that they can do things on their own, and it’s reflected in their daily lives; aside from daily/weekly (depending on household and person) prayers, the occasional visit to a temple to pray for blessings, or annual celebrations, humanity generally sees to itself.
Mythological creatures live wherever. Some of them live in their God’s domain, or places where they are naturally born and flourish in. Some blend in with humans. It all kind of depends on their personalities and their god’s attitude of humanity (because, yes, there are some who distaste humans)
Because of this, a lot of the “humans” have a tiny speck of divine (or mythical in general) blood in them, due to gods being gods, and the occasional human getting into a relationship with a mythical creature/being. Though demigods have kind of stopped/halted being born in the past few centuries, there was a time in the past where there were plenty running around.
To rectify this, there is a “council” of gods to regulate everyone’s behaviour. This “council” is less of a council and more of a gathering of the more powerful gods. I’ll expand on this a later date never
—classification
Now, there’s two types of gods. Natural gods and Belief gods.
Natural gods are, well, as their name says, gods in charge of the natural state of the world. Like the sun, air, ocean, etc. They aren’t exactly controlled by humanity’s belief in them, and most tend to be old old.
Belief gods are usually more region-specific, and are born from the beliefs of humanity. Unlike natural gods, they can die/disappear from existence when there are no longer any believers of them. Your classic supported-by-faith gods.
There’s also a weird third option without a name (currently) that can either be Natural gods or Belief gods, but all have one thing in common: they are deities of intangible things (such as justice, honour, curiosity, etc).
—inventions why no more :(?
Anyhow, modern meets gods. Yes. Going back to the original plan.
Some inventions don’t exist in this world, whether it be because the original inventor of it in our world just died from a series of events, or simply because a god said “no :/“ and kind of. made it outlawed (because if a god tells you not to do it, and you are a normal person with self-preservation, what are you gonna do? *not* not do it??)
Example:
Cars. They don’t exist. They did exist for a bit, but then the Goddess of Air made some noise about the pollution they created and rallied a bunch of other nature-related deities to support her cause, and cars were thus sent to the Banishment Room. Trains and buses were going to be banned too, buuut negotiations went underway, and since then they’ve been running on a strict schedule using more eco-friendly fuels.
(technically cars *could* exist in the future once someone figures out a way to make it eco-friendly, but for now it’s in the BR)
(actually the whole reason why cars were banned in the first place was bc there was starting to be too many. going to be many more in the future. which was Bad)
High-rise skyscrapers, planes, anything that reaches for the skies: banned or simply were not created, because they were seen as a sign of greed, daring to try and reach where the gods lied. In the same sense, too-deep underground bunkers also don’t exist, for the same reason above.
AND speaking of the sky and the underground, different deities have different places they like to live in. Some in the sky, some wayyy underground (in the underworld sort of thing), some just existing with humanity invisibly, yadda yadda you getcha.
“Okay but why can’t gods just fix everything” because it’s outlawed by the “council”. Intervening too much in humanity would be Very Bad. more on that next time.

Legend of Zelda Lore Tips
So I’ve seen a lot of people confused about how the Legend of Zelda series works in terms of lore. So I’m here to set you straight! You can find the whole thing under the cut.
1: Reincarnation
Despite what most people think, reincarnation only happens once in the Zelda series, during Four Swords Adventure, where Ganondorf is reincarnated as... himself, basically. Thanks to Skyward Sword, we now know:
* Link does not reincarnate, ever. He bears the Spirit of the Hero, some esoteric trait that is passed on from hero to hero, which may just be the approval of Hylia herself. This sometimes carries through his bloodline, but not always. Furthermore, the Spirit of the Hero can be both destroyed, and remade, as seen in The Wind Waker, where Link is not the chosen hero, but a normal child who made himself into the hero. That said, Links usually share some traits, such as having a love of food and sleep. But, as shown in Twilight Princess, they are all different people.
* Hylia does not reincarnate, ever. After the first Zelda died, Hylia returned to her status as a full goddess. Her descendants, the various Princess Zeldas throughout the series, don’t reincarnate either. Every Princess Zelda after the first one (who was the goddess hylia in a mortal body) is a demigod, a mortal descended from a god. Their power comes from this connection to Hylia. Furthermore, as evidenced in the first two Zelda games, it is tradition for the Hyrule Royal Family to name their firstborn daughter Zelda- the Zelda in The Adventure of Link is the aunt of the Zelda from the first game.
* Demise does not reincarnate either. His incarnations bear not his soul or spirit, but his hatred. His “incarnations” are essentially just people whose hearts were corrupted by hatred or evil.
* Ganondorf, as I stated earlier, only reincarnates once. Every other time, he is sealed away, typically returning after his power is regained.
2: The Curse
Despite what many believe, Demise did not lay down a curse after being defeated in Skyward Sword. Fi says as much, his power was gone. Rather, he laid down a prophecy, which he infused with what power he had left to influence, that his hatred would continue on in others, and they would continue to plague Hylia’s descendants and their champions for all eternity.
3: Ganondorf
Despite popular belief, Ganondorf is not Demise’s reincarnation. Neither was he unduly influenced by the prophecy/curse. Rather, Ganondorf was merely an exceptional man born into evil. He is the child of Twinrova, a fusion between two ancient and evil Gerudo witches, and as such, he inherited much of their power. And because they raised him, he became evil. His origin story is no more complex than that; he was simply a man born into power and evil, who happened to fulfill the conditions for the prophecy due to the hatred in his heart.
The only reason Ganondorf has lasted for so long is because he was the only villain to truly grasp even a fraction of the Triforce, which is itself creation given form. By taking the Triforce of Power for himself, his magic and strength were increased to ridiculous levels, causing him to be all but incapable of dying to anything but divine power.
He dies a total of three times across the series- once in A Link to the Past, once in the Oracle games, and once during Twilight Princess. In every other game in which he appears, Ganondorf is never killed, only sealed away.
However, it is clear that, by the time Breath of the Wild takes place, Ganondorf has become a force of nature, and lost what humanity he had left; he is a monster, a miasma of evil energy. This is likely due to him repeatedly dying, as seen in the Downfall Timeline- each time Ganon is resurrected, he loses a small piece of his mind, until he’s completely mindless in Link Between Worlds, used as a puppet by the real final boss to grant them extra power.
4: Timelines
The series is divided into four timelines: a unified timeline beginning with Skyward Sword and ending with Ocarina of Time, and then three new timelines spawned from OoT’s events: the downfall timeline, the child timeline, and the adult timeline. However, the timeline itself is largely just made up after the fact, and aside from a few games, most aren’t made with continuity in mind.
The Downfall Timeline is where Ganondorf defeats Link in their final battle, and a war is raged between the awakened sages and Ganondorf, ending with Ganon being sealed away in the Sacred Realm as a last resort. After spending an unknown amount of time in the sacred realm, Ganondorf’s power transforms it into the Dark Realm, a land of demons and monsters. In this timeline, Hyrule is in a constant state of decline due to Ganondorf’s influence, with monsters becoming more and more common even when Ganondorf isn’t around, to the point where it generally isn’t safe to venture outside by the time the original game comes along.
The Child Timeline is one where Ganondorf’s influence is never truly allowed to spread. However, this also causes Hyrule to slowly lose its magic, and to slowly grow more dependent on technology. By the time Twilight Princess comes along, magic is all but unheard of outside of divinity and the royal family; similarly, the Sheikah, ancient magical protectors of Hylia and her descendants, are all but gone, with only one Sheikah remaining, Impaz. However, it seems to make a small return once Four Swords Adventures comes along, as the four Links find various magical tools and items to help them on their journey. That said, it’s obvious that Four Swords Adventure was just tacked on to the Child Timeline because it didn’t fit anywhere else. Furthermore, Twilight Princess only happens because of how Link was sent into the past; by holding the Triforce of Courage in the future, Link accidentally created a time paradox, which caused himself, Zelda, and Ganondorf to each hold their triforce pieces in the new timeline despite not having split the triforce yet.
The Adult Timeline is a unique one. Hyrule is subjected to Ganon’s reign, but he is defeated by Link. Link is then sent back in time by Zelda, creating the Child Timeline, but the Adult Timeline still exists- and it is without a hero. Link is nowhere to be found, and the creation goddesses instead lead the peoples of Hyrule to the tops of mountains, before flooding it underneath a great sea. Ganondorf is sealed away underneath the ocean, inside the remnants of Hyrule, trapped in a bubble of time as the world moves on. However, Ganondorf’s power was not fully trapped, and he managed to escape after untold years to once more wreak havoc. After he is defeated in the Wind Waker, Link and Tetra move on to explore the world, eventually coming across a continent, which they rename New Hyrule. In this New Hyrule, magic and technology flourish in tandem, causing a technological boom; magical trains become the standard method of transportation, and the royal family itself sponsors it all. However, this land is home to an ancient evil which was sealed away long ago by the Lokomo tribe, a demon king named Malladus; the train tracks that New Hyrule relies on are actually chains which bind Malladus’s prison, which existed long before the people even arrived on that continent.
Finally, there’s Breath of the Wild, which has a unique problem of not really fitting into any of the timelines. It contains elements from every series, and was intentionally created separate from the rest of the series, likely in order to help further separate it from the rest of the series. Breath of the Wild contains many timeline-specific things, including:
* The Rito, which only existed in the Adult Timeline, and which were Zora transformed by the power of a minor god. Some argue that these Rito are not the same due to the difference in design, but the fact remains that they consider Medli to be one of their own, to the point of naming Vah Medoh after her- thus, these Rito must be descended from the Rito of Wind Waker.
* The Sea Zora, which only existed in the Child Timeline. They were transformed into the Rito in the Adult timeline, and were transformed into the monstrous River Zora in the Downfall Timeline. Some people defend them by saying that these Zora are relatively new to the region, but the fact remains that they consider Princess Ruto to be one of their own, to the point where Vah Ruta is named after her; thus, these Zora must be descended from the same Zora found in Ocarina of Time.
* Goponga Island, Kanalet Ridge, Mabe Village Ruins, Martha's Landing, Tal Tal Peak, Tabhal Woods, Ukuku Plains, and Koholit Rock, all of which areas named after places on Koholint Island, in Link’s Awakening, which itself took place on the Downfall Timeline. And Koholint Island is itself not a real place, but rather the dream of the Wind Fish, a place that is presumably never seen in any of the other timelines.
* Linebeck Island, named after a character in Phantom Hourglass, of the Adult Timeline.
* Lulu Lake, Mikau Lake, and Toto Lake, named after characters in Majora’s Mask, which takes place in the Child Timeline.
* Mount Daphnes, named after the King of Hyrule in The Wind Waker.
* Ralis Pond, named after the Zora Prince in Twilight Princess, in the Child Timeline.
* The Tunic of the Wild, which most resembles the clothing of the Downfall Timeline links.
* Vah Medoh, named after Medli (named Medori in the original Japanese), the Sage of Earth in The Wind Waker, found only in the Adult Timeline.
As such, it can be said that Breath of the Wild takes place in a New Unified Timeline, where elements from all timelines existed.

javier and mal character notes
javier is heavily altered from extended contact with celebi for most of hhis youth and you wouldnt know hes an alternate timeline version of mal if he didnt let you know himself
javier has more variety in his team then mal entirely from 3 different attempts to get an umbreon
javier is essentially kind of immortal in that he doesnt age when not around celebi though he ages way faster then the normal human when celebi is near him.
javier was like barely 30 when celebi decided to stop interacting with him for his own good, not knowing javier cant grow when its not around him anymore
javier is late 50s in body age right about now, hewas always stressed out so he aged kinda badly especially with the accelerated growth celebi caused
javier is way taller than fully grown mal at 7 feet because among other things celebi caused a tumor to form on his pituitary gland making him grow taller than usual
javiers current team are all descendants of his original team. they didnt hang out with celebi enough to gain the immortality javier has though they and their descendants age slower then average for their species and the most recent gen has proved to have even longer lifespans then average thanks to pseudocelebi energy stuck to javier effecting them
javier has a psychic bond with his espeon, he can use this to see through its eyes and use a form of telekinesis sometimes
javier has all the health problems mal would have but heavily exacerbated by celebi or age. mal gets arthritis in old age and javier gets early onset arthritis in his 20s. mals vision gets worse as he ages ending in him needing glasses for myopia and javier goes straight up blind at age 30. mal has problems with high blood pressure due to stress. the only reason javier hasnt dropped from heart failure is that the universe cant recognize him properly let alone the fact he should be dead
mal cares alot about looking his best as one of his many ways of trying to inspire respect. even as a kid he color matches his entire outfit, javier is too old to really care anymore but still wears suits everyday even if only ever black
mal cares alot about earning peoples respect either as a person or an authority figure as an adult. leaning towards him taking over the 8 th gym in kanto for these reasons. javier doesnt really have it in him to care anymore. javier doesnt have the energy to care about things besides celebi his team or the still living alternate versions of hsi family really
mal has a larvitar as a starter pokemon, gotten from greg. javiers was also a larvitar but it was stolen from someone instead of given to him
neither truly care for battle despite being good at them. mal only likes it as far as the respect it earns him and the amount of opportunities it gets him. javier doesnt care for battle much at all besides his pokemon enjoying it
mals team is more dark type then not even with some dual types. javier has 4 dark types and two non dark types.
mal is shady but mostly legit about all things. javier is an ex evil team leader
mal likes being a gym leader more then enough and doesnt care to become elite four or champion because its satisfying enough. javier became a multi regional champion in his own timeline before the negative effects of extended exposure to a demigod hit him like a train
mal is able to put people at ease with him when needed. javier is decidedly not. hes perfectly polite and all but extended isolation has done a numbber on his social skills and he cant really hide being a bit unhinged anymore

I feel like I need to do a little more for Saki & Omegani’s sheet so here’s some Osentishu Folks in the meantime
Bio bits under the cut!
Left to right:
Slate: Bodyguard for Saki and kind of scared to properly tell her off since she's very headstrong. Because of this, he spends a good portion of his time fretting over her safety, and is often unwillingly pulled along into her misadventures. He isn't nobility, but he got his position through the fact that Saki basically decided that he was her best friend after he saved her (She was 9 and very trusting). He was born in Osentishu (the country these people are from) but his mother was a foreigner and a poor single mother so he doesn't fit in very well.  Also, he and Hiteto are bros who bonded over identical training regimens and having to take care of two difficult to manage princesses.
Also notable: He's the son of a Greater God, who his mother only ever reffered to as "Skyle". This isn't actually that special since Skyle has literally billions of sons. He's unstoppable. None of them are actually technically related (They find this out later).
Also Also Notable: Slate has the ability to view potential future timelines based on the outcome of a specific action, a power that he inherited from his mother. He doesn't like to use it because it's technically illegal and also it freaks him out. Saki thinks this is ridiculous.
Hiteto: Omegani's bodyguard who was trained from the time that he could hold a sword properly due to the fact that his Mother is the captain of the royal guard. He plays the role of Bodyguard more straight than Slate does, but as soon as he's out of view of anyone but the Princesses and Slate he breaks it completely and is actually a pretty chill guy, though he frequently worries that he'll never find a girlfriend because of his "Professional resting bitchface". Despite his Mother's strict and professional exterior, they actually have a pretty good relationship and she occasionally covers for him and Slate so the two can go hang out, drink, eat fast food, and generally decompress for a few hours before returning to their duties.
No amount of Hair product can keep all of his hair flattened down, much to his mother's mild chagrin. Omegani likes to say that it's his repressed stress being channeled into his hair. He's not sure how he feels about this.
Yuro: The longstanding captain of the Royal Guard and technical wartime head of the Royal Army (Though Osentishu hasn't been at war in decades), as well as Hiteto's mother. She is very firmly principled and is regarded as strict by most who encounter her, though she tries her best to maintain a good relationship with her son even if that involved occasionally letting him to slack off for a short amount of time to keep him from becoming too stressed. On the rare occasion that she gets time to herself, she spends it embroidering things to act as heirloom items for potential grandchildren. Hiteto knows this. Hiteto is trying real hard to make it happen.
The most common rumour about her among her juniors and soldiers is that she has managed to replace her blood with solid black tea due to how much she consumes on a daily basis. She's starting to think they're right.
Manei: A retired Pirate, eccentric collector of rare objects, mother of 12, and the mentor to the Princesses, Manei is a demigod who found the princesses when they had accidentally travelled as children. Though she can't world hop herself, she understands the concept and managed to help the two learn to control themselves well enough to keep the incident from repeating itself. They ended up returning to her after a couple of years and she taught them what she herself had managed to learn about the Gods and World Systems. Her contacts have proved invaluable to the two during their hunt for God Items, and she was the one who originally found the Sword and Shield they weild.
Manei lives on a private island, surrounded by like 20 grandchildren, 30 servants, and a dozen cats. Most of the Servants are various magical creatures she contracted throughout her adventures, or the products of gods items (some being God Items themselves). Most of the grandchildren are mortal. At least one is probably a psychic vampire. The cats are equally suspect.
Tamenome Tukore Chotutede Osenkimiteti Chenshenhishishu: Everyone calls him Tuko because honestly who even has time for the royal names, they're ridiculous, holy shit. He was very young when the Emperor and Empress were assassinated, and was secretly sent to live in the south of the country with his Aunt to keep him away from the Norther Palace. Once the panic had passed he moved to the Southern Palace and has remained there since, being tutored so that he can eventually act as the region's political head under the orders of Omegani. He has been slightly spoiled due to being the highest ranking person in the place, though he thankfully hasn't developed any real delusions of grandure and would in all honesty rather just hang around and be lazy. He's like, 13 at the most. Kind of just a bratty kid who doesn't really understand the amount of responsiblity he has. He is, however, pretty excited about returning to the Northern Palace for Omegani's coronation, as it has been a very long time since he saw his sisters or the capital.

It will cost the Mechanism dearly
Yesterday, President Jair Bolsonaro said that the country is on the edge, that Brazil is a powder keg, and that he is waiting for a signal from the people so that they can act, without detailing what action they can take. Commenting on the news that Brazil has 125 million people who do not know if they are going to eat. Bolsonaro recalled that, in the past, he already warned that that policy of “stay at home and we'll see the economy later” would be catastrophic.
The President questioned whether the press, now that everything is happening exactly as he predicted, will be fair and blame those who are really responsible for this announced tragedy. Bolsonaro also questioned: “What will come out of all this? where are we going to go? Looks like it's a powder keg. And there are people in jackets and ties who don't want to see, ... jackets and ties, money in the account at the end of the month, and people who blow themselves up. I am not threatening anyone. I am thinking that soon we will have a serious problem in Brazil. There is time to change. Just stop using your pen less and your heart a little more”, concludes the President.
In fact, the conjuncture of events that has been taking place in Brazil causes extreme concern and puts on high alert all those who are concerned about the country's future. As Jorge Serrão (Journalist) said: “Brazil is experiencing a moment of crisis of sovereignty, abuse of authority and deepening of the war of all, against all powers. Remains Supreme Power. Lack of Moderator Power. Political and economic mafias take advantage of authoritarian power. The Popular Power (original) finds it difficult to react, as it combines fear, dissatisfaction and revolt. Social tension only increases. National disunity worsens. The critical moment requires a storage brake. Who is entitled to step on the brake pedal?
Yesterday, after confirming the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) of the pandemonium, gift given to Bolsonaro. Because if the CPI is serious, there will be a lack of jail for so many rulers we take away and are corrupt. The plenary of the supreme toga began the analysis of the competence of the judge biographed (Sergio Moro) in the judgment of the case of the biggest thief in Brazil (Lula). The 11 members of the Superior Federal Court (STF) evaluate the absurd injunction given by Edson Fachin, annulling the convictions of the inmate (Lula) in Curitiba, passing everything to start over in the Federal Court of the Federal District. If the decision is confirmed, the demoralization of the work of the 13th Federal Court of the Federal Regional Court, of the 4th region, and of the Superior Court of Justice, instances that confirmed the conviction of the thief (Lula) for corruption, will be maintained. Even being able to open the way to enable the "most honest soul in the universe" (Lula) to be a candidate for President in 2022, even through as vice president. Because it will be able to use, politically, the slowness of the Brazilian justice to falsely pose as innocent, victim, wronged. Anything could happen. Those who have powers, prerogatives of authority, must always support their decisions in strategic and even tactical analysis and readings.
The lion is not the biggest and heaviest animal in the jungle, but it is the most strategic and tactical. Therefore, it feeds on absolutely all other animals, and no other animal is its natural predator. This means being at the top of the food chain, so we can describe the political animal that is Mr. Jair Messias Bolsonaro. He looks like a surviving lion, absolutely immaculate, inside a National Congress completely corrupted by systemic and organized crime, now known and recognized as the Mechanism. The political animal was not contaminated by the corruption schemes of the sociologist Presidente (Lula) and his troupe. He was not contaminated with the schemes of the “mensalão” and “petrolão”, nor mixed with the banditry of the convicted Rio rulers, who together add up to almost a thousand years in prison. To ignore such political skill is to completely ignore Brazilian politics. Treating the President of the Republic Jair Messias Bolsonaro as an electoral incident will cost the Mechanism dearly.
Bolsonaro may fail to communicate, but he is neither a complete idiot nor a madman, as many suggest. Therefore, it is important to draw attention to the fact that the members of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) also made mistakes, strategic and tactical, in the permanent hunt for the Bolsonaro lion. The togados (lobster eaters) missed their target, and generated a tsunami that promises to become the dungeon of medieval members of the Brazilian kleptocratic elite.
Pushing the bar for the Senate to install the CPI on pandemonium has everything to turn the “spell against sorcerers”. In 2022 we will have 27 Senators needing to convince the suffering, oppressed, and cornered Brazilian population that they deserve to remain in their positions. Meanwhile, this population watches, horrified, being denied the most basic citizenship rights, such as health, employment, security, education, and above all, denying the people the dignity and pride of being Brazilian.
The Senators, who until now, have passively watched the widespread corruption devour hundreds of billions of reais sent by the Federal Government to States and Municipalities, received a gift from the demigods. A CPI to parade with their voters giving them solidarity, and explanations (for the disappearance of money from hospital beds, oxygen, antibiotics) will have to be given by the Mayors and Governors. Crying will not be free. The population, at this moment, is not a mere spectator as in the CPIs of the “mensalão”, of corruption schemes or of pension funds. This time, the CPI is about the inhumane crime committed against the most needy and unprotected citizens of our beloved Brazil.
Those who caught the virus in crowded buses, trains or boats, and were thrown into health posts (small satellite hospitals) without doctors and nurses, without medicines, until they ended up thrown in cemetery ditches without even having the right to a wake attended by their relatives. The authoritarian power denied the population the sacred right of farewell, of Farewell. Without a doubt a crime against humanity. The massacred population is frightened, but more tired, indignant, and angry. She no longer accepts the existence of the Mechanism, the virus's macabre partner, despite the erosion of the President's image caused by the permanent media campaign of destruction, many still remember the surprising election of the candidate, who had only eight seconds of TV time, and who even took a stab, cowardly, to be removed from the race.
The lion survived and taught that resistance and struggle are possible for those who, attentive, analyze politics in Brazil. Our innocent supreme gods of the STF, invited the political animal Jair Messias Bolsonaro to a ring that he dominates well. The maneuver was intended to drive the lion mad, inducing him to error, to justify his breaking. The script is neat, it's enough that in some action provoked by an enemy parliamentarian, Bolsonaro is classified as a madman, that the supreme pendant determines his removal or impediment process, due to mental insanity. From now on, as soon as the CPI on pandemonium really starts, we are going to witness a public and political carnage against the Mechanism, all against all, in the most republican way possible. The criminals of the virus pandemic that came from China, in Brazil, can get hurt. It is expected that secrecy, tax, banking, telephone, of those who have illicitly enriched themselves with the money destined by the Federal Government for the health of Brazilian families are expected to be broken. Found, found, and tried. The thugs must receive the utmost rigor of the Law. The Senators have already smelled blood in the air, the lion too.

ooh! i had an idea about the ggs social media thing. so in order to communicate effectively, the gods set up separate private ‘fb’ groups for different regions (ranging from very local to Pretty Broad, like go from Boronia to Knox to Melbourne to Vic to Australia. itd probably stop there, though there might be a small group for the continental leaders to communicate strategies)
the idea is that with the groups, all the demigods (most using dummy accounts, though not all) can communicate about demon sightings, arrange training sessions for new demigods, and just generally communicate. but the Idea i had was that for each group, the gods actually appoint a few specific demigods to act as the admins. and theyre the ones who post about sightings, most of the time. any member of the group is free to post about stuff theyve seen, but its primarily the job of this Support squad to be in contact with everybody through their gods and to keep everyone updated. so its a role for the non-combats! this would make coding the group easier, since there’d be a small number of potential posters, and differentiating Story missions from ‘radiant’ stuff would be obvious through someone else posting, say Katja or Kay. (also one of these might need to change their name, thats a lot of Ks)
another idea, going along with support squad, is about Isaac. they could be on support squad! it would make sense for them, i think. they arent big on combat, theyre primarily magic based, and theyre a demigod of wisdom, which makes them ideal for communications. that probably works better than having them primarily be a ground combatant, especially considering they cant fight solo. like, they can, sorta? but they basically need someone whose more physically capable to accompany them in case they miss a magic missile and enter close range. i do want isaac to be playable in some form, as part of the larger roster of supporting characters (the only one of whom you dont control is probably Spencer? given shes not a demigod. though for a limited segment that could be nice)
idk. i think that works. it fits their character. it does sorta remove them from Sonya’s day to day demon hunting, and the idea was that they were a duo (like Kay and Spencer except a million times safer and less likely to eat shit). they can still be a duo and just have isaac run support whenever they arent hunting. and sonya is perfectly capable of hunting solo, since shes pretty physically fit (shes a bball player for fucks sake)
eh. thatd go smooth, i think. maybe isaac is usually the one posting the story missions? like itd of course vary, and one of your story missions isnt delivered in the same format due to its nature, but maybe shes the only generally giving you the story important quests. like whenever Chatot tells you to do shit in Pmd. with all the times chatot DOESNT being the same as when Isaac doesnt. like with the Drowzee thing. or like. the whole forbidden land thing. or the whole exile thing. yeee. yeeeeeeee. works perfect for me.

Out of all your muses, which two would be the one's to get a long the best and the worst?
Tumblr media
GEAR & ELLANORA are already best friends canonically. They are childhood companions and are virtually each other’s platonic soulmates. Interest-wise they share a lot in common; both are lovers and contributors to science and they work in very similar fields. Ellanora is a cosmozoologist (basically a zoologist who studies wildlife from different planets,) and Gear is an ecologist who has some experience in engineering.
Tumblr media
As for characters who haven’t met, I DO think that KUBO & SILVER could relate to one another very easily. Both are unique in each other’s communities; one is practically a demigod, and the other randomly born practically as a ‘mortal angel’ as decided by fate. Hence, both of them have unique strengths and abilities (telekinesis being an ability they both share,) but ultimately they are also singled out and hunted down because of these traits.    Their responsibilities are a bit different though; besides taking care of his mother pre-film, Kubo is really just trying to balance being a normal child while practicing his powers, and avoiding his grandfather.     Silver is much more grounded by responsibility. He wants to be a normal child, but due to the fact that he is a guardian, he (reluctantly,) has to be the one to step up and defend his region if a demon threat should ever arrive. He must train often in order to prepare for that instance.
Tumblr media
As for characters who’d get along the least? Hmm, I can’t help but see KELDEO & KYUTA butting heads like crazy. Their personalities are so similar that they clash; both of them are stubborn, determined, arrogant and cocky as hell. (well, at least Kyuta is as a child,) Keldeo’s improved somewhat, but he is biased against humans after his experiences with them, so already that puts him on a bad foot with the nine year-old. I just don’t think they would have the patience for one another–at least until Kyuta got older and far more understanding.
