Featuring Colton Ryan, Raymond J. Lee, Lilli Cooper, Nicholas Christopher, and Bonnie Milligan
“I'm living in what started out like a dream I'm working for the thinkers on the scene I'm fighting for the chance to be undefined I'm leaving something behind I'm waiting for this messy light to turn green I'm hoping for the chance to wipe it clean I'm dying for the ones who come to the show I'm leaving something when I go All I know, even when it's over I'm leaving something when I go.”

(New AU character let's goooo) Meet the Sculptor, our Flesh avatar!! She is a pretty shy dragoness, skilled in dragon and animal anatomy alike (has a lot of practice with both)
The Sculptor's a true artist at heart, and takes her craft very seriously - her craft being creation of living sculptures and body modifications. The Sculptor sees flesh as a material made to become something extraordinary, pushing the limit of normal biology (and logic), and she's determined to have a breakthrough. Nowadays she spends most of her days in the workshop and, honestly? - living her best life. Also, her real name is Bowerbird, but few dragons got close enough to her to learn it, and she feels more comfortable letting others call her the Sculptor.
Theme song (beginning verses): Circus by Lindsay Mendez & Drew Gasparini
So yeah she's just an introverted nerd with ambitions who wants to make The Coolest Body :3 I think she has somewhat of a flexible design - she'd definitely change stuff around to experiment and put some ideas to work. And she has both dragon and big animal bones in her (started out small and gradually replaced animal parts with better fitted dragon one's - her shyness didn't help with acquiring the later sooner) She doesn't have any big role in AU's plot, the crew kinda stumbles onto one of her failed creations (it... crawled away) and investigates the area. She maaay be an episodic antagonist or stay mostly neutral?.. I dunno, I'll think about it One thing I can tell for certain - Newt REALLY dislikes her, lol. I wonder why...
#I missed this :"3#you can tell i loved the mortal garden episode#sculptor just adores her work without moral complications#you go girl#(i really hope people get that this is a joke)#my art#another chance au#dragon#artists on tumblr#digital art#horror au#wings of fire#wof au#the magnus archives#tma oc#creature design#monster#creature#Sculptor

Joining the problematic song party with The Dismemberment Song by Blue Kid! It's exactly what it sounds like, the singer is telling her victim she is going to dismember them, slowly and painfully. It has a very musical theatre sound to it tbh
There's also Circus and I Just Can't Stop by Drew Gasparini. They're also theatre-type songs; the first one is about a woman who starts murdering people to catch the attention of a serial killer she's become obsessively in love with. The second song is her and the killer justifying their actions. There's a line in it that goes, "There's a sickness taking over, it's the life that he is living, and that sickness is what I wanna be," I love it
.

Wednesday, February 21, 2024PRESENTED BYA MESSAGE FROM GULFSHORE PLAYHOUSE:
The Gulfshore Playhouse Inaugural Season at the new Baker Theatre and Education Center! Two dazzling theatres. Seven fabulous productions. Anything Goes, Every Brilliant Thing, Dial “M” For Murder, The Lehman Trilogy, Noises Off, Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill, and Sweet Charity. Learn more.Good morning, Robert!
Monday night the Briefing was at opening night of The Life and Slimes of Marc Summers at New World Stages. Part interactive game show, part memoir, the show stars Marc Summers and is written by Alex Brightman with music by Drew Gasparini. At curtain call, Marc gave a heartfelt speech thanking everyone who made the show possible and pointed out people in the audience who changed his life and career path (many of them mentioned in the show). Marc's genuine kindness was exemplified by the fact that all of those people from his past showed up to support him. Also in attendance were Mike O'Malley, Brad Oscar, Alex Timbers, Lena Hall, Robin Russo (Marc's Double Dare co-host) and Melissa d'Arabian (Food Network Star winner). Following the performance was a party at Bryant Park Grill. GOT A TIP?
SETTING THE STAGE TODAY
First there was harmony.
"The full story of the lost singing group that inspired Broadway’s ‘Harmony’" by Broadway News' Ruthie Fierberg - "When Bruce Sussman first started writing the musical that would become “Harmony,” in the 1990s, there was only one historical resource about the Comedian Harmonists: the 1976 Eberhardt Fechner documentary about the German singing group, which had sparked Sussman’s interest in the group in the first place. Given that the doc was the only available reference, it is remarkable how much Sussman got right in the final musical. But, as with any stage adaptation, Sussman had to condense his material, and he also dramatized moments.
The Comedian Harmonists did not start off with the exact six members that eventually rose to fame — the six that were depicted as the original and final sextet in “Harmony.” In reality, it took more than a year (and the incorporation and ousting of multiple early members) to get to the perfect combination of six musicians: buffo Harry Frommerman, bass Robert Biberti, first tenor Ari Leschnikoff, second tenor Erich Collin, baritone Josef Roman Cycowski and pianist Erwin Bootz."

Hi! Could I ask for some song recs for a carnivore monsterkin? I have cryptid vibes in a more creepy way, hunting people and other animals (I was the stalker/ambush type of hunter, but wild chases and other styles are great with me too, so please don't feel constrained by the type)
I'd love it if there were some themes of hunting, horror-esque stuff, consuming, can be any genre, can be both on the calm side and on the wilder one!
Songs I like with this or similiar vibe would be, for example:
Beast and Teeth by 8 graves, outer science, the wolf by siames, voracity, bad blood by creature feature
Thank you if you do it, don't feel forced if you don't vibe with the themes though! <3
Hello!! I think I leaned towards more horror and consuming/cannibal-esque stuff, so hopefully you'll find some things you like! :D.
