Ch-ch-ch-ch-chaaanges! . On the eve of his 9th birfday Hagrid and I had our first casual chat about changes. My amazing coach @cindythaxton and her eagle eye helped us get the balance and quality needed to even start this conversation. Of course it's not clean and pretty, it's our first ever exposure to it. This is only attempt one out of many! . Luckily, I picked up two extra rides Friday, and one extra ride today on horses all at various stages with their own flying changes. This allowed Cindy and I to hone my feel for and buzz up my timing for the change. William and I played with our happy place, two-tempis; Calidad, the jock of Gallifrey, and I discussed the straightness while keeping all of his body parts with us in the single changes; and Moe! My goal was to take the anxiety attack out of the change so he didn't feel so panicked about not doing the right thing. . Hagrid's Big Day Out! . I took Hagrid to work with me today to give my #scadequestrian students a live demonstration of my Pre-Ride stretching routine for my horses and he gathered quite the crowd! . Afterward, our favoritest #EQST Chair, Ahna, rode with us for a fun trip around the equestrian center! His school #fieldtrip culminated with some relaxed pictures with Freddy to show off the most beautiful bespoke #engagementring that he gave me a few weeks ago. . Another supple squishy moment from our training session with @cindythaxton last weekend. . That #halfpass is really coming along! #proudtrainermoment right here! . @gallifreyfarmllc assistant trainer, @jessebears improved her 2-3 scores with a big improvement on her seat and is locked and loaded for training goals before the next competition! Clinched a 1st and 2nd our last show day! . @calidad_quality CLEANED UP and won their 1-3 with a whopping 68%, first place AND going home completely qualified for the USDF Regional Championships in October! . Deb and Moe showed off some of the most impressive gaits of their show career and are ready to kick it up a notch together to pursue that last qualifying score. Such great things ahead for this pair!
