Today I embraced the #hummingbird . Well, okay, it was probably being well fed and pounding caffeine like its my job today but still! Things moved faster than they ever have for this ol' 🐌🐌🐌! Thanks to @joseph_quarterman for being my in person hype man! . Vid1: I think the fastest I've ever pulled 285 off the floor. Vid2: Banded 265, also quite speedy for me! Had a brutally fun deadlift night, Monday. . Vid1: First of 4 (3 successful) singles at 295lb. This is the first time I pulled that much more than once! I am falling in love with the deadlift again. . I used to love it. Then I began to dread it and I know now that it's due mostly to my mental blocks. Thankfully with @erk5590 and @gritbarbell.jp they are incredibly gifted at pushing me out of my head. I was a bit worried last night going in as I was going to be on my own. The whole team is gearing up to crush it at a comp so I flew solo on my lift. I could still hear them in my head though and I tried to turn their volume up and my anxiety down. .
