I would have loved to have seen the TNG short dress in other series of Star Trek. Which man, or male identified character would have worn it, but we just never saw on screen?

WEST POINT CADET

West Point cadet is replaced by his twin brother. I've always loved watching the Army/Navy game with the cadets in their dress uniforms. Thought it'd be so hot to meet a few cadets out at a bar before the game, get em drunk, strip em, and take their place :)

Trektober, Day 9: Dress Uniform

Beverly always assumed that she would be there if and when Jean-Luc got married. This isn't quite what she had in mind, but it's also much better.

---- Beverly stood in front of the bedroom mirror, smoothing the invisible wrinkles out of her sage green ‘bridesmaid’ dress. As she leaned in to check her make-up, she casually tossed a comment over her shoulder. “You know, if you had told me a year ago that I would be happily attending Jean-Luc’s wedding - in any role other than bride - I would have had you committed.”

“Someone else would have had to tell you that because, if I recall correctly, the moment you met me, Jean-Luc quickly became nothing but a faint memory,” Kathryn teased with a smirk as she emerged from the bathroom, sticking one last hairpin into place. 

Beverly continued to fuss with her eyeliner but she did offer her cheek for Kathryn to kiss as she came closer to share the mirror. “Mmhmm, revisionist history,” she teased back. “I believe it was you who immediately fell head over heels. Isn’t that how you stubbed your toe?”

Kathryn blushed a little, as she always did when Beverly brought up the unbelievably flimsy excuse Kathryn had used to end up in sickbay on that fateful day. As if anyone in Starfleet would go to sickbay for a stubbed toe (well, maybe Reg Barclay). At this point in their repartee, Kathryn would usually have said something like “I’ll show you a stubbed toe,” and then pushed Beverly onto the bed and slowly began removing her boots and then her socks… and then - 

“Tsk, no time now,” Beverly scolded knowingly, interrupting Kathryn’s train of thought. “Would you help me with the necklace?” she gestured to the gold pendant on the dresser. 

A family heirloom gifted to her by Jean-Luc, another lifetime ago, he had requested that she wear the necklace today because even though she wasn’t going to be his wife, she was still an important part of his family. She had shaken her head in disbelief when he told her that, still shocked that something so sentimental could come out of the stoic Starfleet captain she had known for so long. But then, they had both changed so much during all of those years apart. So with tears of joy, rather than jealousy or sorrow, Beverly had agreed to stand up with him at his wedding and to wear the necklace. Then she had kissed him tenderly on the cheek and gone back out onto the terrace where Kathryn was waiting for her. 

Now, Beverly watched in the mirror as Kathryn came up behind her, necklace in hand, and swept her long hair over one shoulder. She draped the necklace over Beverly’s chest and kissed the nape of her neck softly before fastening the clasp. Kathryn wrapped her arms around Beverly’s waist and rested her chin on her shoulder, which she could just reach thanks to her high heels and Beverly’s bare feet. They made a striking pair, Beverly all sharp angles against Kathryn’s soft curves. Yet, somehow, they seemed to fit together just right.

SAS dress, olive green suit and beret- medals proud on his broad chest, belt tight around his (surprisingly) tapered waist

it makes him look taller, somehow, the trousers make his legs look impossibly long and his shoulders practically eclipse the bedroom light behind him

not a perfect soldier

but a beautiful good man

“what y’think?”

he asks you while he’s fixing his tie and poppy in the mirror, has to turn to face you when you take longer than he’d like to reply

when he sees that look on your face- glassy eyed and a little more than desperate, his lip curls up with a snarl

simon pulls you to his chest so he can press a kiss to your head, lips still in your hair as his voice rumbled through you

“be good f’me and i’ll let y’ruin m’trousers when we’re ‘ome”
