While the Taiko drums thrilled the audience, the Golden Retriever seemed unimpressed by Peter Thoeny - Quality HDR Photography Via Flickr: On New Year's Eve, we visited Sokoji, a Soto Buddhist temple in San Francisco's Japantown. The Takumi Kato family was invited to perform a Taiko drum show just after midnight. Among the attendees was a woman with a friendly Golden Retriever dog. He was not impressed with the Taiko performance and faced away from the stage. I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments. I got a boy dollfie dream sister when I was in Japan last month, and the Allen outfit finally arrived! A 7-year long dream has finally become reality ;-;

Allen’s outfit was used and Rili’s wasn’t, so his wig is not in the best shape. Someday I’ll tear apart the whole thing and fix it with a lower ponytail, but that’s for future me :)

I haven’t posted Mel for ages and ages but I finally got his new eyes (from doll_Shiny_eyes on twitter/insta) to replace his old ones that had unfortunately yellowed quite a bit (and that I also personally always thought were a bit too big for him). I think these have a bit more character to them - they’re also matte, which photograph better imo.

He’s also trying out some things I picked up the last time I was in Japan a few months back - one of the new DD hand parts that lets them hold a book with one hand and a book to do so with - a 1/3 scale manga I found in a gacha machine. I really want to get more of these mini manga - this one is Switch Girl, which I haven’t read, but if I wanted to I could just read this because it’s literally volume 1 in miniature, complete with dust jacket (I might need a magnifying glass though)
