#drawn to life: the next chapter

After a very long journey I've finally finished my drawn to life PMV!!! I speak about it more in the description of this video, but this project means a whole lot to me. Please enjoy <3

In Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter for the DS, three different statues of the Box Art Hero - Drew - appear in the files. The blue one (left) appears in Wilfre's Wasteland, the brown one (middle) appears in Turtle Rock, while the grey one (right) was meant to be a template for the statue creation in Watersong but goes unused.

Interestingly, each of these statues is slightly different, best seen in the heads of each statue. For instance, the blue statue's eyes are much rounder than the other two, the brown statue's eyes aren't emotive like the other two, and the grey statue's eyes are a good mix of the blue and brown statue's.

What if Shadow Enemies were in The Next Chapter?

Here's my take on what a run down creation hall/wilfre's wasteland type level theme might sound like! It's also based off of an earlier version of the same song that I posted almost a year ago ^^

While promoting Drawn to Life: Two Realms in the Drawn to Life: For All (DTLFA) Discord server, Executive Producer Joseph Tringali stated:

"I don't know if 1970 Buick Electra's had airbags..."

in reference to the car driven in the Real Life sequence of Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter. Even though he had mentioned that car at random, it was then deemed canon by the community, as no information in the games contradicted it.

The above is a 1970 Buick Electra 225, which is closest in make and color to the orange car seen in the Real Life sequence, making it Deputy Snyder's vehicle on the night of the carnival.

After learning this information, Discord user "guythatexists" decided to find the car that best matched the Row family's vehicle on that night, eventually sending the following image in the DTLFA server:

Although not confirmed by any developer, the 2008 Jeep Commander Sport 4x4 lines up well with the Row family car and was released in July 2007, which would have been before the incident with the assumption that the original Drawn to Life happens on the day it released.

A funny effect of this conclusion was the discovery of the following recall information:

Once again assuming that the night of the carnival was the initial game's release date - September 10th, 2007 - this recall may have been part of the reason the incident occurred. However, the truth behind the Row family's car and the date of the incident is merely speculation and is an interesting series of coincidences as opposed to a solid fact.

Not me making a human design for a character from a ds game I played in my childhood that I randomly decided to play again for the nostalgia. It’s….Wilfre from the Drawn to Life series! Design notes down below.

Human Wilfre design notes:

•The red diamond broach/buttons are a reference to Heather’s pendant as seen in Drawn to Life: the Next Chapter (DS).

•He’s got a cravat because I found a portrait of pre-shadow Wilfre from the first Drawn to Life game on the fandom wiki and went “Yeah he would wear a cravat.”

•His raposa ears are optional but I kept them because I thought they were cute.

drawn to life (2) on the D’Souza was my first ever video game i completely played though. revisiting it now almost 15 later is still holds up and i can appreciate the game more. i never even play the first one but back then i didn't need to lmao this was enough. anyway the game is freaking awesome you play as a hero trying to restore color to the village that needs your help..so then i was thinkin to myselfs... video game.. bright colors.. nintendo ds... this is just like stickman... it is very much stick figure coded. and ever since then ive just been having too much fun mushing ava and dtl together. my brain is a very fun place for me and me alone ^.^

pleease tell me yall know abt this game. i mmmight make more as i continue playing lol.
