zhongli and neuvillette fighting over their reader 🤭🤭

scary dog privilege wherever you go, draconic courting gestures that would scare any regular person, they send each other deadly glares the moment you turn away,

stealing your clothes to just get a whiff of your scent, marking their territory all over your house - making it a battlefield basically, neuvillette (in my hc) is cooler and zhongli is warm so the cuddles are always so comfy ☺️😍,

they give you anything you want - you don't even have to lift a finger, they make you travel between the nations a lot though 😒 sooo clingyyy, extra gentle in their dragon forms as to not squish you, don't even get me started on the size difference 😍😍

Neuvi being colder is so real and canon. I see him as being colder + a lot more lithe, kinda lanky with smaller but sharper canines versus Zhongli who's warmer and a bit shorter then Neuvi + bulkier with bigger but not as sharp canines.

They've also got very different habits – Zhongli is very prideful not just of himself but his nation. He'll personally give your a tour and purposely drag it out as long as he can. Complimenting Liyue is basically complimenting him, checkmate Neuvi. Especially if he convinces you to try on some local Liyue fashion. Harmless and just a nice gift to anyone else but Neuvi sees it for what it is (since your wearing something from Liyue, technically wearing something of his. He loves his technicalities when it comes to staking a claim over you). Adds salt to the wound by touching you in totally innocent ways like to adjust you towards something he wants to show you or accidently brushing against you when he takes the bags of spoils he's practically drowning you in but really he's just making sure his scent sticks. He's just a sweet, nice gentleman with absolutely no ulterior motives trust.

Neuvillette does love Fontaine, but his habits are more about himself then the nation. He'll take you around if you ask or if the idea strikes him, but you'll probably stay around the making city area or the opera house specifically. He enjoys more personal time with just you and him then anything else. He values the immaterial to the material. Zhongli spoils you with gifts, but Neuvi tries to offer quality time irregardless of physical gifts (though he still gives them just not to the extent of Zhongli). He'll take you to see different operas if that's to your fancy, or leverage a bit of his authority to maybe see a few films since those seem to be hitting off in Fontaine recently. Bet that creaky old archon doesn't have those huh. He feels awkward if you want to watch a trial, but he'll reluctantly agree because. well. it's you. just don't wave or anything he's trying to work and he just Really wants to see you smile at him like that again and it makes him lose his train of thought. gets custom clothes designed by Chiori to replace your clothes from Liyue because they smell of Zhongli and it makes him sulky + he likes to match.

G-d forbid these two are in the same room as you because it's a war of attrition at that point. Constant accidental brush of the hand against your shoulder or elbow but it's just them trying to get rid of the others scent. they are side eyeing each other behind your back while being all smiles whenever your looking. If it's hot and you lean into Neuvi more he's practically GLOWING. not even smug he's just absolutely smitten and happy to be of service. immediately takes off his gloves and presses his hands to your face asking if your okay and if you want to go back with him. if it's cold out and you seek out Zhongli more hes smug as hell beneath the calm veneer. Offers you his coat and stay as physically close to you as he can under the pretense of being worried you'll catch a cold if he doesn't warm you up.

don't even get me started on your house either because you probably have tons of gifts from both of them accumulated everywhere. if Neuvi sees you use a tea set from Zhongli suddenly he had a fantastic gift idea he thought you'd like. he even got some tea included with it so why don't you let him make you some? Zhongli sees you using a goblet Neuvi gave you (totally a coincidence it's similar to his) and suddenly you have 27 square cups in your cabinets that you have no idea where they came from. if the goblet is mysteriously missing oh well. who knows :]

Something Something happens and chung myung ends up needing to be (faked) married for a short awhile so the tang family offers the hand of a distant tang cousin who's been making waves in the cultivation world and getting stronger during the last 3 years (*note that this is after cm is 21 ) who seems to REALLY hate the demonic cult and the great sects who won't meet each other until the wedding day

Now on the outsider pov we have people up and down making sure everything is doing good on said wedding night , and it is ..... except for the fact that said wedding grooms seem to be late for THEIR OWN WEDDING

Thankfully the mount hua disciplines see their youngest coming, not so Thankfully he's coming covered in blood dragging a (dead or unconscious ? ) demonic cult member and all of you are worrying about the poor groom who doesn't deserve to be tied down to this heart attack inducing menace ,except the groom ALSO Shows up covered in blood dragging a (also dead or unconscious ?! ) body without a care in the world, then all of you see your youngest FREEZE at the site of him as if he saw the dead coming back to life he did

And the tang groom freezes too and whispers in awe and confusion " taoist hyung-nime!? "

The crazy bastards proceed to drop the bodies and launch at each other with desperation

Vlad has been asleep for a few centuries now, in a goddamn coffin that he specifically made just for that like the weird rich person he is. He was also, the phoenix king.

Or at the very least, one of them.

Honestly, Danny couldn't give less of a flying cheerio how long Vlad would sleep for if it wasn't an inconvenience to it.

But it was.

You see, he's the ghost prince, prince of the infinity realms, dragon of infinity, son of war and ward of time, etc, etc.

And somehow, he has bloody paperwork.

Even though the Infinite Realms fell into Anarchy eons ago.

So he honestly doesn't know why he has paperwork, and it's so much that Danny has been spending centuries doing it and he's so tired of it and then he remembered, hey? Who likes can do mountains of paperwork without breaking a sweat and could finish this way better than Danny could?

Vlad Masters.

Hasn't seen the guy after his mother died, don't know where exactly he is, but he isn't in his lair (yes Danny managed to get in, don't ask how) and Danny is going to find this man by the Ancients because he cannot deal with those anymore.

He barely even made a dent!

Anyways, so Danny goes over to Earth because he hasn't been there for a hot minute, and that's probably where Vlad is and uh, woah there is this really Earth cause it's lookin mighty different to how he saw it last time-

Why was the Earth currently covered in flames? Black flames that look mighty familiar to someone else's that he knows actually. You know, someone who should have been sleeping the centuries away instead of, oh he doesn't know.

Taking over the mortal world?

It even seems that Vlad got himself a goddamn cult too! How neat! How much time did it take you to assemble all these people Vlad? You even gave out pieces of your power when you could've been, oh, he doesn't know.

Helping him with paperwork?

So, he's kinda mad about this, pissed, actually. So, he goes to find where exactly Vlad is in this reign of madness, finds a literal crack in reality and just heads on through because he couldn't care less about that actually.

What he finds is not what he expected.

Cause you know Vlad? Phoenix king who is probably trying to take over the mortal world instead of helping him with paperwork and was supposed to be sleeping inside a coffin?

Yea scratch that. Because that isn't a coffin.

When the hell was Vlad sleeping inside a magical barrier-

And who the heck was that spamming Vlad's signature black flames while laughing manically, and who in the infinite realms were those guys who were currently fighting said spammer.

So, the Justice League is now combating a new world ending threat. Some cult who wants to cleanse the world in the name of their deity so they could hand it to him once he reawakens.

Which, apparently, might've been around for centuries, slowly preparing for this day which, dedicated, but not the good kind of dedication really.

So, back to the fight, they're fighting this possible immortal who's been taking over the bodies of each new head of the cult for centuries and, well, he genuinely had power to back him and his cult up.

Not really a shock there, to be fair, since he claimed his powers to originate from the sleeping deity who blessed him with a portion of his power.

Vlad didn't, bro just stole a portion of his power and claimed it as a blessing lawl. Not that the cult knew that-

So the Justice League managed to break their way into the place holding said sleeping deity that also acted as the base for the cult leader and, well. Yea he truly does have the power to back himself up and, if the magic users had anything to say about, a very magically powerful deity he follows too.

So they're kinda screwed if said Deity wakes up, they don't even know when he will actually, neither did the cult leader. He just will 'eventually' which isn't as descriptive as some (read: Batman) would like.

First things first, beat up and disband the cult, figure out a way to prevent the sleeping deity's awakening later.

So they were fighting a battle (shocker I know) with their forces spread between their world and the pocket dimension and things weren't looking quite as good as they hoped. Lots of causalities, both civilians, heroes and even villains alike, a whole lot of magic and powers being thrown about and the monologuing of the cult leader who was floating above said sleeping god.

You could even think it to be symbolic in some way, that he thinks himself above a god.

So, safe to say, in all of this chaos they weren't exactly expecting a new voice to join the fray.

And the owner of said voice, to be a goddamn dragon.

My not-really-old early concept of a place that I have been thinking about the concept for a long time now, and is supposed to be only exists in my Sky AU, but then the more I think of the concepts, it also made me realize that it gets some relations with the current Sky gameplay especially in economies with the Ancestors. So I decided to make it as a fan-Season too!! [Season of Trading(?)]

Some infos abt it that I might add more soon:

In my AU, this place is only for Sky Kids who wants to be a Guide for the newborn Children of Light for each Realms, as there were some spirits and Adult Sky "Kids" that can taught them about Martial Arts, Archery, Swords, Spears, and other weapons, and even Magic, Flight (including riding Light Creatures like Manta!), even other languages and secret codes!! And while this place is hidden, there are still some sly and tricky hunters or maybe scavengers that stealing some stuffs from the village and will do anything to get something that got their interests, no matter what.

The location is either reaaalllyyyy hidden in Hidden Forest, or far far away from Prairie Peaks or Aviary, or even in an undiscovered island! The only way to get there is to warp from the guide while the Season is active as the usual, OR riding a manta instead of a boat!! *

This place actually prohibited the usage of Diamonds, knowing what it was made from, so that's why it didn't use boat, and most of the stuffs there are probably traditional / handmade. (This may also explains why the place is really far / hidden, so that it can be far from the others that has been using the diamonds.)

New experience for arriving in the new Season location hell yeah,,,,,, yes you can tell that I got bored with using boats to bring us into the new Season location /jk

I kinda think of the spirits to be 6 but with no expressions (yet, or maybe no-) and each of them has their own jobs! I am still thinking of the job for the spirits and I will pick some from these; woodchopper, miner, farmer, crafter, chef, herdsman(?), book archiver, and even a tailor too like in Aviary maybe?

The guide is either an old-ish Spirit that looked like an archiver, or the Spirit that helps with the delivery to the other Realms.

*(Though there IS a boat- or more likely a ship-, somewhere near the sea after the Forest, and it's a WOODEN BIG AHH SHIP THAT HELPS TO DELIVER STUFFS FOR FARAWAY ISLANDS....)

The inspirations I took for this are from a lot of possible medias that I know, such us Zelda, DND, Genshin, Spiritfarer, HTTYD, Lara Croft / Tomb Raider, Princess Mononoke, The Chronicles of Narnia, Avatar (both Avatar with the blue creature one (Na'vi) and Avatar with the Aang boi), and PROBABLY MANY MORE BUT I FORGOT WHAT I SHOULD PUT AUGH-

Also inspired by some of Tom Zhao's Sky concept arts, and some of the existing concept such as Aviary Village, Wind Paths, and the treehouses in Sky like the one with the Assembly Spirits and the one with the Belonging Grandma that give us breads :3c

Man that DLC's final boss has got me feeling kinda fucked. I'm kinda depressed about it now that I'm done. Everything else is, was, so good. But I do not like that plot development. I honestly think it is bad. Why did they choose not to foreshadow this in literally any way? Why did Miquella attempt to resurrect Godwyn at all in the first place, then? Practice? Was this really what was originally planned? There's no actual evidence to the contrary so you gotta assume it must've been.

Chapter Summary: As Duke Ulder Ravengard recovers from his rescue, he reflects upon his tense reunion with his son and how he might make things right — not just with Wyll, but with the surly scarred woman who glares at Ulder from his shadow.

“You see… as a parent, you often wonder what it will be like to meet the person your child falls in love with. And I must say, you are… not who I expected,” Ulder chuckles. 

“I think you had forsaken him following any expectations of yours when you exiled him from his home,” Irva retorts coldly. And then, because she can’t help herself, “What kind of person did you expect?”

Ulder shrugs.

“He was always a romantic. I thought he might bring home a bard, if I am honest with myself. He always had the spirit for adventure, so I hardly expected a blue-blooded lord or lady. I decided long ago to expect the unexpected. And yet…” His gaze turns steadily to Irva. “...is that an Untheri accent I detect?”

Irva continues to adjust her leg, but Ulder can see how her wary eyes flick up, reflecting the sunlight. 

“It’s rare to hear one around this side of Faerûn,” Ulder remarks conversationally. “You must have traveled far.”

“My parents did,” Irva says stiffly. “They passed the language to me.”

Ulder gives her a tight smile. “Along with their faith, I imagine?”

Irva sits up slowly, planting her foot firmly upon the ground as everything in her leg clicks into place. She doesn’t bother to unroll her trousers back over the mechanisms as she stands back up to full height. Although she is not tall for a human, the furrow in her scarred face could certainly be rather menacing. 

“And your tattoos…” Ulder continues, knowing very well that he’s playing with fire. “They are Thayan… or Mulani? Either way, I have seen the style before — carved into the Wyrmfodders serving Severin Silrajin himself.”

As Irva stares defiantly back at Ulder, her face is hard, her hands clenched at her sides.

“By the Triad,” Ulder intones wearily, massaging at his jaw. “To think my son would become entangled with a dragon cultist…”

“I am no longer one of them,” Irva insists. 

“Is that so? Can one simply decide to no longer be a part of a cult?” Ulder asks blandly.

Irva scowls. “You can ask Lae’zel and Shadowheart, if you need an answer. It often requires a… rude awakening. And friends,” she adds in a mumble. “My loyalty is to my companions; not to my — not to Tiamat.”

Ulder doesn’t miss her fumble.

“I would hope not, if you are pursuing my son,” he smiles grimly. “It was a shock to learn that he thwarted yet another attack on Baldur’s Gate seven years ago. I thought that my efforts to defeat Severin's cult were successful. It’s humbling to know it persisted.”

Irva stares at him, eyes narrowed. “Your… efforts?”

“Ah,” Ulder raises an eyebrow. “I see… it seems Wyll did not tell you the role I played in that part of your history. I can imagine why he wouldn’t,” he admits. “I was a delegate at the Council of Waterdeep, after all. It was there that we organized the effort against Severin.”

He eyes her. “You must have been in your teens back then. How much were you aware of what came to pass?”

“I was a child. But I knew enough,” Irva glares. “My mother and brothers fell at Severin’s side.”

Ulder nods into the silence. 

“My condolences…”

“Empty words,” Irva scoffs. “You wanted cultists dead, they wanted you dead. You succeeded. They died. The end.”

Ulder raises an eyebrow. “This begs the question, then. You shared in my son's memory through the tadpoles. It was the night Wyll made his pact, but that wasn’t the only thing I saw through his eyes.”

He stares hard at Irva. “Did I see clearly? Were you the cultist who took my son’s eye?”

“Yes,” Irva says simply.

“Does he know this?”

“Yes.”

Ulder leans forth, his brow furrowed. “And now you presume to take his heart?”

Irva smiles dangerously, all sharp teeth.

“Yes.”

They stare at each other for a tense moment, and then Ulder’s face relaxes and he leans back in his seat, chuckling and shaking his head.

“It almost sounds… fated that the two of you met once more. That the two of you fell in love. My son was always a romantic, and I suppose there’s nothing more romantic than an enemy turned lover,” he concedes. 

“I’m sure the bards will love that one,” Irva mutters.

She eyes Ulder as he lets out a startled, short laugh.

“Do you wish to kill me?” she asks plainly.

“Not at the moment, no,” Ulder replies affably.

“Then… good,” Irva says, her hands relaxing. Still, she scrutinizes him suspiciously. “Wyll warned me that you see the world in black and white. Your past actions demonstrated that. Would you say that you have changed?”

Ulder shrugs. “That was true for much of my life. I held ideals according to the will of Helm, especially. But as you get older, you learn that so much of life cannot be ideal. You can never be a paragon. You will make mistakes. And when it comes to matters of the heart… nothing is ever black and white.”

He regards Irva thoughtfully. “When I deduced that you were a worshiper of Tiamat, I feared for my son. I thought you might be the cult’s spy; meant to exact some elaborate vengeance upon me. I will not lie about that.

“But I can also see that even after all these years, my son can still balance seeing the good in people without naïveté, and without glazing them in rose-colored spectacles. From what I can gather you are indeed a fierce warrior spellcaster, as well as a devoted friend.

"If Wyll believes in you… if he trusts you… then I will trust my son,” he concludes. “He has given you his heart, and from what I have seen… you are well worthy of it.”

“That’s not up to you to decide,” Irva says peevishly.

“No,” Ulder smiles. “As you said, I had forsaken that right long ago when I threw my own son out of his home. But as a father… even a loathsome one…” he sighs. “It makes me happy to see him loved.”

Irva nods, relaxing somewhat. 

“Wyll is the best man I have ever known,” she states softly. “He is kind. Selfless. I believed it was despite you,” she says pointedly. “Yet he claims so much of it was because of how you raised him.”

“I can only take credit for so much,” Ulder smiles. “I doubt that I was the one who taught him to see the good in every person. And to learn my lover was once my enemy and not merely forgive them, but continue to trust them? That is Wyll’s magic. And if it had to be anyone…” he bows his head towards her. “…it had to be someone who would love him as fiercely as you.”

“Irva?”

Wyll is striding across the room, a furrow in his brow as he looks between the two of them.

“...Father," he adds warily. "Is everything alright?”

Despite everything that has transpired these hellish few months, Ulder feels a knot in his heart loosen as he sees the reassuring look exchanged between his concerned son and the tensed cleric. There are so many words in that look that remain unspoken, yet are communicated in a single moment.

“We were simply speaking,” Irva says evenly, although her eyes seem to say so much more. Perhaps they are speaking through their tadpoles as their companions often do.

“Indeed,” Ulder nods, feeling a genuine, pleased smile spread across his face. “We had much to discuss, and it has made this otherwise dull day so much brighter.”

When the two of them depart for their next task, Ulder stands up at last, stretching as he sets aside his book.

There Wyll goes… brave, noble, compassionate… 

And, apparently, loved. 

Ulder smiles to himself. 

Loved?
