Unfortunately, it seems the spirit within has long since forgotten exactly who it was looking for…"

May I present, my attempt at illustrating the last four pages of Tevinter Nights. 😁 (Also, the first time I'm posting art on here!)

As the whole thing was quite literally too long to post on tumblr, I uploaded the full version on a customized site made for reading webcomics (via ComicFury). On a personal note though, I can't believe I actually finished it... As it had been a *very* long time since I drew (and finished) anything, let alone a 31 page comic and reading Tevinter Nights again finally sparked my motivation (and the courage to post it lol). So I want to thank Patrick Weekes for helping me overcome this massive art block and over two decades of Case Closed mangas for inspiring me how to draw an overly dramatic "exposing the imposter" moment. 😂 I tried my best to be as faithful to the book as possible and it took me forever, so... hope you like it! :D

The Dread Wolf was his wisdom, mirror to his pride. In the wake of the wrathful Evanuris, it too, has succumbed to their taint.

Or, where I'm making wild plot speculations surrounding Solas trapped in the fade. while turning my brainrot into art pieces and gifs. I'M PACING MY ENCLOSURE. Looking for crumbs and scrabs of Veilguard. Please Bioware I'm begging, feed me. 😭

so i think solas's lyrium dagger is the same "blade that would end the war" from merrill's fen'harel story in da2 btw

and sam winchester voice get this. we know the dagger was extracted from da2's red lyrium idol right. and likely purified during the ritual discussed in tevinter nights. which is interesting because "a glowing blue blade that has the capacity to resist or possibly even cure the blight"?? sounded incredibly familiar to me :) so with that i would like to also point out the similarities btwn solas's dagger and the sword maric theirin found in the deep roads from david gaider's 2009 tie-in novel the calling. lol

also worth noting that he and fiona banged shortly after he found this sword, and later, after the birth of alistair, she found out she had been effectively cured of the taint and had somehow reversed the calling. the only grey warden ever recorded to have done so.

Fen'Harel In Action

I never really liked how my Solavellan prose-poem Like Teeth Against His Heart looked when formatted on tumblr, and since the @solamancyzine zine itself is no longer available for sale digitally or physically, I thought it'd be nice to upload how it appeared on the pages itself instead here as a record. When I was writing it part of the fun/challenge was making sure the lines would fit in booklet spacing without too many awkward gaps, or overflowing.

since there's too much to put in the alt text per image here for accessibility: here's the prior tumblr upload (as text not images) but it's slightly better on AO3 though... it still sucks to view on phone there. that is the danger of poetry with special alignment I guess!
