“Sigma Rajang Mewing on Beta Hunters”

Based on real events

Me (pictured far right) and my friend Edward Starlight (Pictured center) were fighting Rajang for my first (technically second) time. This is a fight I had been dreading/delaying for nearly 2 years because by god is the Goku monkey scary.

We ready our equipment, prepare a superfluous amount of healing items, and head out to face… the Monke… we spend like 10 minutes trying to find the damn thing. We came across a savage deviljho along the way and decided to do a 180 because FUCK THAT!

A few minutes later, Edward ends up getting jumped by Rajang in the fire zone of the guiding lands and I rush in to help, to little avail. Edward gets grappled and thrown about by the Monke at least 5-7 times. We end up running out of healing items and both of us die.

We can’t afford anymore screwups, so we restock, lock in, and go back in. We proceed to get a copy of Supreme Ass Whooping: Deluxe Edition, run out of healing items, again. However, Edward had a mod that notified him when a monster could be captured. So while Rajang was dicking around beating the shit out of our palicos (and Edward) super saiyan style, I was frantically searching the wiki on what trap to use. Thankfully, we had a pitfall trap and lured the Monke into it and put his ass to sleep.

An Interaction Between Dream and Dreamer.

Anoma Kato, exhausted, torn between hatred and despair, suddenly receives a great vision. A god dream, the newly made Moon Child, appears before him, already privy to his turmoil and pain. Anoma’s mind was their place of origin, after all.

Moon Child offers Anoma guidance and certainty. The confusion; the rage; the despair; the uncertainty; paralyzes Anoma as millions of words and ideas swirl about in his head like a tumultuous hurricane.

“What could you possibly do to help me?”

“You’ll abandon me when I need you most, won’t you?”

“What makes you believe that I deserve your kindness?”

“How would I repay you?”

“Why didn’t you come sooner?”

Tears roll down his face as his body tenses, each muscle fibre ready to explode in fury. Despite all the building rage, fear flowed through him far deeper. Where his hatred and anger was a lake of fire, his fear was a bottomless sea.

Anoma shakes, trembles, and quivers as Moon Child leans towards him, their eyes filled with the combined compassion of every living thing. And they cradle Anoma in their hands, holding him up to their bosom so that he may hear Moon Child’s empty heartbeat.

Then deep from the god dream’s chest came a choir of some thousands of voices humming a serenade that could calm even the most violent storms into a serene breeze.

For a moment, just the briefest of moments, the weary eye of Jupiter felt rest, curiosity felt the sun’s rays once more, voyagers felt a little less alone, and a hopeful rainbow shined somewhere for people to see.

That sea of fear became smaller and smaller as land formed to take its place. No more would Anoma be harassed by the crashing waves of dread, as now, for the first time in his life, he was grounded. For the first time his thoughts were clear, even if for a just moment.

And from those newly formed rainbow shores, he began to follow that blessed moonlight.
