“Hey, Naimeryn, wait a second,” Evka called. Naimeryn held up a finger to Lucanis and Davrin, and jogged back to meet Evka halfway.

“I picked something up for you,” Evka said with a smirk, and held up a small, blue glass bottle. “This is what you use, right?”

“Evka!” Naimeryn gasped, taking the bottle of dye and cupping it in both hands.

“I noticed your roots showing when you were here last,” Evka explained. “Figured you’ve been too busy to even think about it, so I tracked some down for you.”

“But how did you —“

“Rook,” Evka put her hand over both of Naimeryn’s, and she realized she was misty eyed. “I know we weren’t *close* before everything happened, but it’s not like I’d never seen you around. You’ve had blue hair since we were teenagers. Nobody who doesn’t mind their natural hair color is that committed to the bit.”

“I can’t even —“ Naimeryn choked, took a breath, and tried again. “I can’t even tell you how much this means. Thank you, Evka.”

Evka patted her hands and then smiled. “Just remember this if I ever manage to piss you off.”

“Oh? Is that on your agenda?”

“No, but you decked the First Warden hard as hell,” Evka laughed — tinged with a little bitterness, maybe, but genuine. “I don’t want to be on the receiving end of that shit. I expect a free pass!”

I’m trying to get a handle on Evka and Antoine. Like, we def know they have a happy marriage 😉. But…which partner do you think initiates their romantic moments more? I feel like maybe Antoine has some smooth rizz and is the more romantic partner. Though maybe Evka is the boss on the battlefield AND the bedroom…

I don’t want to fall into the Orlesian/Frenchman cliche but…?

Maybe instead he’s more shy and Evka is the initiator?

Which partner would be more like to sit on the other’s lap and blush?

Okay so I have seen claims (I haven’t seen the quotes myself) that as of the end of Veilguard, the Wardens no longer have to deal with the calling and I was like “I would love a happy ending for my favorite pair of Wardens tbh”

It’s just after Elger’nan’s defeat- maybe a few hours, a couple of days at most. The sun is back where it is supposed to be. this is the first time that anyone has slowed down enough to hear themselves think.

And Antoine stops for a moment, stock still, staring at nothing for long enough that Evka reaches up, touches his elbow, “Antoine?”

Distantly, “I can’t hear anything.”

Evka guides him down by the elbow, bringing him to a kneeling position so she can look him in the face. Places her hands on his face, enunciates carefully and loudly. “What. Do you mean. You can’t hear anything?”

Her voice snaps him back, “Désolée, I- the blight, Evka! I can’t hear the blight anymore, I-“

Too overcome to speak, his hands over hers, eyes simply roving over Evka’s face like he can’t look at her expression enough.

“It’s so quiet.”

The look of wonder on his face interrupted as Evka soundly kisses him.
