Why is the monthly raffle entry requirement only THREE? If someone considers raising three dragons for THE WHOLE MONTH to be a challenge, then they don't deserve a Prize, just saying. Jesus Christ TJ, is it that hard to reward your ACTIVE players? Just like someone said on here about names being trapped on inactive scrolls, which affects active players negatively. I don't get it. Make the requirement TEN, AT LEAST, & add a consecutive entry perk. In a sound system, active players should benefit!

FOR CONTEXT:

dragcave is a petsite where you collect eggs and raise and breed dragons with views, that's the basic premise ok. SOME EGGS are more difficult to come by than others (rare dragons are harder to find "caveborn" (cb) aka first-generation, and since breeding and making lineages is a big part of the game those rares are in pretty high demand)

dragcave also does a monthly raffle where you complete some task on the site (raise x dragons of y type, etc) and get entered into a prize drawing for an Exclusive Dragon, prize dragons (what they're called by the site) aka tinsels and shimmer-scales (what they're called by the community). there are Six handed out every time: bronze, silver, and gold from both breeds

winning a prize is SUCH a big deal that there's a whole user-made guide on what to do with your egg. granted their value has gone down a bit since that guide was made i think just bc there are new ones being continually created so they're less rare now than they were, but still! it's a Big Deal! i was already really happy with being able to trade for a 3g gold shimmerscale earlier this week and now i have A CB TINSEL and ive been plotting since last night what lineages i wanna make with it

1. i love frogs and among my most prized possessions are four very tiny ceramic picture frames that are heart shaped with cute frogs on them that i found at goodwill 2. my bottom lip and chin are numb (although the feeling is returning it is slow going!) 3. i have a tattoo from this anime ‘orange’ that everyone thinks is a wu tang clan tattoo and i still dont even know who they are ; _ ;  4. a few years ago i tweeted about this one movie saying it was very shitty but i still liked it and the director saw the tweet and a few dms later he ended up mailing me a package with a huge ass signed poster that i hung in my room all through college and some other little things and we briefly maintained a mutual which was thrilling for me 5. i love dragons and i played a lot of dragcave when i was 13. and spyro 6. justin mcelroy and i had a very brief and incredibly awkward interaction that i hope he’s forgotten about solely because it was that awkward

i remember the whole fiasco with frills, where they were so abundant and common and frequently labeled as "cave blockers" that there was a bunch of fits thrown on the forum until the spriter who made them was like "okay no more frills in the cave then", and the ensuing YEARS of trade inflation for anything from anyone with cb frills, especially green stripe babies from them. i remember when prize dragons were first introduced and the mixed joy and deep FURY at raffle-locked dragons that made the egg trades so goddamn impossible for years, people were asking for multiple cb golds/silvers for a single THIRD GENERATION prize dragon, and people were accepting trades like that! i remember the trio summon being introduced, the fit over the gold dragon updates, the days when rare x rare breedings were impossible, fake thuweds, the dorkface lineage hype, when tracking ancestors and progeny took entire excel spreadsheets, there was no way to keep track of vampire bites, neglecteds were a hush hush myth, the rise and fall of the rival dragon adopt site silvi, the introduction of magi teleports to trade eggs... just... so much. for such a limited adopt site, people on dragcave get so heated about everything. it's been under debate for like over three years on whether or not we should be able to name leetle trees. and yet i have over 2300 dragons and i love them.
