Another thing half life fans gloss over more specifically about half life alyx- SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY

What does the ending imply for Alyx's character?? She gets hired by the Gman at 19 in that timeline and also disappears from the hl2 timeline where she's 24. What happened to her 24 year old self- are those years just gone?? Or are there now two versions of her and the 24 year old one just disappeared?? Did they merge somehow????? I have never seen anyone talk about what might happen to her as a character and that is one of the most intriguing parts of the ending to me. Gman changes the past to hire her- how much of hla actually happened in the hl2 timeline?? I'm so serious I need theories about this not anything else. Does Valve even know or are they just doing shit? I need half life 3 I haven't slept properly in months.
