I told you so | Draco Malfoy
Pairing: Draco x Reader
Summary: Just as your friend Malfoy predicted, Cedric broke your heart. What happens when Draco realizes his hatred for Cedric was actually jealousy?
Warnings: Slight cursing, Mention of s*x, Implied s*x, light smut?
A\N: This is severely unedited, I wrote it in the moment. Hope it’s alright. Hahahha -Rach.
“I thought you said you were done with me.” You snapped trying to put on a brave face. You spun around when you didn’t get an answer, only to come face to face with Draco.
“Draco...sorry I was talking to-“
“Cedric. I know.” He gave you a small smile.
“If you came here to gloat, I’m not in the mood.” You muttered, turning to face the wall.
“You were right you know, he said I would never be enough, for him or anyone. I’m pathetic and useless. That no one would ever desire me, I wasn’t even useful for sex.” You said softly, looking down as your voice cracked.
“That motherfucker!” You had never heard Draco so mad. The blonde haired boy felt rage building inside of him but he thought of you. He was going to gloat later but not know, he had to fix you first. He refused to let anyone hurt you, he would deal with Diggory later.
He gently turned you around to face him. Your face tear stained and your eyes red from crying. It hurt the blonde haired boy more than he would like to admit. What angered him the most was that he knew this would happen. He knew Diggory would hurt you, but yet he let it happen. You told him not to get involved, he should have pushed harder.
Draco pulled you in to his chest and wrapped his arms around you. He was new to comfort but it came naturally around you. You didn’t reject his hug in fact you hugged him tighter. He wasn’t quite expecting that. It was then the boy knew that he wasn’t angry at Diggory, he was jealous. He wanted to go out with you. Before the boy could think about his latest thought he spoke.
“Permission to kiss you?” He bit his lip in a desperate bid to shut himself up, you would hate him now. You already thought of him as a player and this wouldn’t help. You lifted your face to lock eyes with him. He was flustered and blushing, you hadn’t seen him this way before, but you liked it. You could feel butterflies but didn’t quite know why, you had been frenemies with Malfoy since you both arrived at Hogwarts, but now you were seeing him in a different light. His pale, porcelain skin, fragile like him. His grey eyes, that had a hint of kindness in them. There was a softer side to your friend, maybe Malfoy wasn’t as stone cold as you thought. Emotion you scoffed, that was something you thought Draco never had. As you observed every feature, including his jawline that could cut skin, you realized Draco was actually very good looking. As you were observing him he was observing you. He stopped at your lips, biting his own, wishing for you to say something.
“Permission granted Mal-“
He didn’t give you a second to finish speaking he smashed his lips against yours. You were surprised, you liked it. In fact you wanted to do it again. You didn’t want it to stop. You heard footsteps and raised your wand to quickly lock the door. Draco spun around hearing the door slam.
“Shall we continue?” You said faintly, your confidence failing you. What if he changed his mind?
He adjusted his tie like he was in a hurry as he grabbed your waist pulling you into him. Your hand resting against his soft school shirt. He had undone his first button, and had his tie around his neck, loosely. You couldn’t deny the fact he was hot. You looked at each other, both getting the hint as you jumped up, wrapping your legs around him as he grabbed your waist. He carried you up the spiral staircase into your dorm. He set you down on the bed as he took off his shirt in one swift movement. You took off yours as Draco got on top of you. He kissed your jawline leading down to your neck. You were in your bra and skirt now and him just his bottoms. You got on top and kissed his jawline to his v line, as you felt a strong push. You were on the bed with Draco on top. He undid his belt as you removed your bra, he turned to face you, and looked you up and down, smirking.
“No desire my ass Diggory, you’re sexy as fuck princess.” You giggled.
“Permission to?”
“To what?” You smirked.
“Do what ever I want.” He smirked.
“Permission granted.”
You had the best night imaginable with Draco. He stayed there the next morning, which surprised you. Maybe he wasn’t a player like you had previously thought. As it was winter and everyone was at home, par a few students who chose to stay, Draco could stay in your room. As the sun shone onto your face, waking you up. You looked around seeing your and Draco’s clothes all around the room. His tie was hanging from the top bunk and yours still on your neck, just barely, that is.
Maybe this year at Hogwarts will be my best.
You thought to yourself. As you rolled over throwing your leg on top of the blonde haired boy beside you, and your hand on his chest. You nuzzled against his neck, as he stretched his arm, wrapping it around you, pulling you closer to him.
“I told you so.” He mumbled. His morning voice, deep and groggy, sending chills up and down your spine.
“Shove off Malfoy.” You giggled playfully, burying your face into the crook of his neck as he lightly kissed your forehead. A smile on your face. The blonde haired boy smiling too.

Not her(d.m.)
Tumblr media
"Y/N! Come here!" I sigh as I hear the voice of my fiancé call me from upstairs.
Me and Draco have been dating for 2 years now. He asked me out 5 months after Astoria's death, and I couldn't deny because I have had the biggest crush on him since we were 14. And I knew I was just a rebound, a distraction, but still that didn't stop me from saying yes. He proposed me 4 months ago, and again, I said yes(only after the approval of scorpius ofcourse, who was now 3 years old), even when I knew that he couldn't love me the way he loved her.
In our 2 years of dating, he has barely ever complimented me. Always compared me to her. Everything I do, he always tells me to do it her way. I have tried. I have always tried to make him see me. The actual me. But he just never seems to notice.
When I wear makeup, he would look at me and say, 'Astoria never wore this much makeup.' And I would just sigh, and wipe it off, just so he would look at me the way he looked at Astoria.
Even during our intimate moments, he would sometimes whisper her name. And it killed me from inside. Because at that moment, I knew he would never be able to see me as me. That when we would have our moments, the only person in his mind would be her. That when he proposed me a few months ago, it was her in his head who he was asking to marry.
I craved his love so much that I went to the point where I started dressing like Astoria, but even that didn't seem to work.
Heck! Even Scorpius calling me 'mama' didn't do any effect on him. And when he heard the news, he seemed rather upset. And that was when I knew that I'll never be enough for him.
Because I am not her.
"Merlin! Y/N! I have been calling you!"
I was so lost in my thoughts, that I didn't notice the tears forming in my eyes, and the voice of footsteps coming downstairs.
"Sorry, I didn't seem to hear.", I responded while trying to blink away the tears.
"Its alright. Anyways, have you seen my office file? The blue one?"
"Uh..no?", I responded with a confused face. How would I know where he kept his office file?
"God Y/N! How are you so irresponsible? It was in my office bag..and I gave it to you for you to keep it safe!",he snapped.
"Astoria was much more responsible", he mumled under his breath but I still heard him.
"Stop doing that!", I snapped.
"STOP doing what?", he said with annoyance clear in his voice.
"Stop comparing me to her, to Astoria.", I half yelled.
"We are not doing this again,Y/N", he groaned.
"I am trying. I told you I am trying!"
"How? By bringing her up in everything I do?!", I raised my voice even higher.
"Merlin! We have talked about this before!", at this point we were both yelling. "I told you, I told you that I needed some time to get over her properly-"
"THEN WHY DID YOU ASK ME OUT IF YOU WEREN'T READY, DRACO?!",I cut him off. This shut him up. He just looked at me with a shocked face. We both went quiet. The heavy silence that came after was unbearable.
"I'll never be good enough, will I?",I finally broke the silence. My voice just above a whisper.
Tears were now streaming down my face.
"I was just a rebound, a distraction.", my voice a whisper.
"Y/N, listen to me-", he started.
"No Draco, You listen to me. Every thing, every single thing I do, you compare it to how she did it. Why can't you just accept me. I did not tell you to just forget her. No, I just asked you to try. Try and accept me for me. I gave you time, Draco. 2 years. Weren't they enough for you to love me? Was my love not enough for you to accept me?-"
DRACO'S POV
"I love you, Y/N!, I love you!", I cut her off with a pleading expression on my face.
"I know you love me, Draco. But I also know that you don't love me enough. And I don't know which hurts more.", she sniffled.
I just took a deep breath. I know she was right. And I didn't even try to deny it.
Again, a heavy silence fell upon us before she decided to break it.
"I am tired of this. I am tired of being compared to. I am tired of feeling that I am not enough. I am tired of not being myself, of not being who I really want to be, of not doing things how I want them to be.",she sighed.
I snapped my head up to her. "W-what do you mean?"
She took a deep breath and looked at her left hand, where the engagement ring sat. No, no,no! She took off her engagement ring.
I looked at her face to see she was already looking at me.
"No! Y/N! I need you, Scorpius needs you! You can't just do this. You can't leave us!", I shouted, tears forming in my eyes.
"I am sorry Draco. I can't live like this. I can't marry you-marry you knowing that you'll never love me-love me how I want you to!", she was now sobbing. The tears that were forming were now flowing like a waterfall.
"W-what about Scorp? H-he needs you! He even calls you 'mama'! "
"And did you want him to call me that?", she whispered.
"I'll visit Scorp every weekend. I know he'll be upset at first but he's a strong boy. He'll get over it eventually. When he gets a new mama, someone who is enough.", she said while looking at me straight in the eye.
"Don't do this,Y/N. Please, I love you!", I was now whispering.
She just wiped away her tears and sniffled.
She took my hand in hers, placed the ring on my palm and closed my hand.
"I love you, Draco. I really do. And I will love you forever. But I can't do this. I can't be with you. I deserve better."
And just like that, she walked away.
And I let her.
Because I knew that she was right. That I'll never be able to love her the way she wanted me to.
Because I knew that she deserved better. A/N:YOU ALL I STILL DONT KNOW HOW TO DO THIS BUT PLS BEAR WITH MEE ALSO, COULD SOMEONE PLS TELL ME HOW TO CREATE A MASTERLIST/NAVIGATION? REBLOGS WILL BE APPRECIATED LOVE YOUU(tell me if you want a part 2)

CONTENT WARNING: maternal death/ canon violence
SUMMARY: being a lupin, you did all you could to live up to your father’s expectation. you were obedient and filial, but you had one not so little dirty secret.
WC/ AVG. READING TIME: 2706 words/ 14 minutes
return to the draco masterlist here
Tumblr media
Y/N GASPED, CAUSING draco to detach his lips from hers. the y/h/c girl quickly looked down at her watch.
it was quarter past 4.
"shit i'm gonna be late, bye dray love you," y/n placed a quick peck on draco's cheek and placed her hand on the doorknob.
"draco..." she mumbled into his chest.
"5 more minutes," he hummed into the girl's hair, embracing her tightly.
"my father will be wondering where i've gone off too," she tried to squirm out of his grasp.
"fine," draco sighed out, finally letting go.
"i'll see you tonight?" draco looked down at the girl, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
"promise." the girl nodded her head.
they shared a kiss once more, before y/n opened the door of the broom closet, sticking her head out of it.
when she saw that there was nobody else in the hallway, she quickly scurried out of the small room, making her way to the defence against the dark arts classroom.
she placed a small knock on the door and opened it.
"you're five minutes late darlin," y/n's father greeted sitting at his desk, his head buried in a pile of parchments, presumably student's work.
"well good afternoon to you too dad," y/n smiled as she sat herself down on the chair opposite the defence against dark arts professor, remus lupin.
well you see, y/n was the only daughter of remus lupin. she was also the 5th year hufflepuff prefect.
and more importantly, she was dating the 5th year slytherin prefect. but not just any ole slytherin, the draco malfoy.
hence y/n and draco had to keep their relationship a secret. first of all, prefects weren't allowed to date.
secondly, y/n's father was part of the order of the phoenix, and lucius malfoy was a former deatheater.
can you say scandalous?
"punctuality is very important m'dear," he finally picked his head up from the table to look at the girl.
"i'm sorry dad, it slipped my mind, i was...in the library studying!" the girl twirled her wand in her fingers, hoping that hearing she was busy studying would please her father enough that he wouldn't give her an earful.
"very well, it is good that you are preparing for your OWLs at the end of the school year. i want you to mark these papers for me, then i'll go through them when you're done," remus pushed the pile of work done by the year ones towards his daughter.
"do i have to?" y/n groaned as she slammed her head onto the desk.
"yes. you have to," remus tapped his wand on the girl's head.
remus wanted his daughter to excel in school so she could graduate, find a stable job, and live comfortably. something he didn't have the luxury of doing due to his special monthly occurrences.
remus was fortunate enough to be given his position at hogwarts. y/n was actually the one who recommended her father to the headmaster after their previous professor turned out to be a complete and utter sham.
y/n was finally done with the work assigned to her, just in time for dinner.
the father-daughter duo made their way to the great hall, parting ways to their respective tables.
y/n filled her plate with food and she ate and chatted with her housemates, occasionally stealing and sharing glances with the blonde slytherin a table down from her.
the students slowly scattered away and made their way back to their respective common rooms.
soon, nightfall came and y/n headed back to her dorm.
when it was 10 pm, y/n slipped on her shoes and headed out of the hufflepuff common room.
y/n stepped out into the kitchen corridor and was met with a vinegar-doused draco.
"oh...my...godric," y/n said between laughs.
draco had an annoyed look on his face, rubbing the vinegar off his eyes and spitting out the gross substance.
"let's get you cleaned up big boy," y/n waved her wand and mumbled a cleaning spell.
"i've tried at least a million times and i still can't get the pattern right," draco huffed.
"well my love, that just proves you're a true slytherin," y/n smiled as she tiptoed to face draco.
"i missed you," draco leaned forward.
"i missed you too," she mumbled into the kiss.
the two walked hand in hand down the castle grounds, doing their prefect rounds.
y/n had managed to convince head-boy, ernie macmillan, to partner her and draco up for their prefect duties.
something about ensuring that draco was not slacking off while doing his rounds so she should be there to observe him, just in case.
it was now past midnight and the couple wandered aimlessly, chatting about whatnot.
they did happen to run into filch combing mrs norris' fur.
they could've sworn they saw him lick the back of his hand and wipe his head with it, imitating a cat.
"did...you see the way he licked his hand...it was hilarious!" draco hugged his stomach as he chuckled.
"i know," y/n wiped a tear from her eye.
the two unknowingly found themselves in the courtyard, by the door of the astronomy tower.
"what do you say we ditch our duties and spend some...alone time?" draco smirked, his head nodding towards the entrance of the tower.
"well mr malfoy, aren't you just a little punk?" y/n cocked her eyebrow to the boy.
with an alohomora charm, the door clicked open and they started climbing the extensively long staircase.
"how long mor-" y/n began to complain but was quickly hushed by draco.
the blonde boy placed a finger to his lips and gestured to the top of the staircase.
shuffling noises could be heard at the top of the tower.
the prefects tiptoed up the staircase and peeped through the railing.
they spotted ginny weasley and dean thomas sharing a rather....passionate kiss.
"ahem..." draco cleared his throat, the two gryffindors quickly pulled away from each other in shock.
"now, you could make my life easier by going back to your dorms and i'll pretend like i didn't see any of..." draco twirled his pointer between the two, a look of disgust on his face, "...that."
dean and ginny quickly awkwardly walked past draco and y/n.
the y/h/ced girl gave the two a thumbs up and mouthed a quick 'sorry' to them as they made their way down the steps.
"come on sweetheart," draco reached out to grab y/n's hand as he guided her to the balcony of the astronomy tower.
draco began to lie down, back against the floor.
"um...babe? what are you doing?" y/n stood over her boyfriend confused.
"stargazing of course," draco made a 'duh' face.
"alright hun' whatever you say," y/n hummed and laid next to the boy, her head against his chest as they looked up at the stars.
"that one's orion," draco pointed up to the constellation, "that one over there is ursa major," draco ran his free hand through y/n's hair.
"for someone who likes to pretend they don't care for astronomy classes, you sure do know a lot about it," y/n drummed on draco's beating chest, looking up at her gorgeous boy.
draco waved off her comment, trying to upkeep his 'studying's dumb' and 'bad boy' reputation.
"and do you see that one? it's my favourite one actually," draco pointed to the brightest constellation, "that's scorpius."
y/n looked at the bright stars in awe.
"it's beautiful..." y/n breathed out.
"just like you," draco admired his girlfriend.
"godric you're corny" y/n groaned into draco's chest smiling.
"one day, we'll finally be able to tell everyone about us princess, i promise. no more sneaking out at night, no more keeping it in the dark, just you and me"
"just you and me," y/n lifted her body so she was hovering over draco, placing a kiss on his nose.
"i love you so much draco lucius malfoy."
"i love you-"
"y/n hope lupin!" a familiar older male's voice boomed, causing the couple to jump and look in the direction of where the voice came from.
y/n and draco made direct contact with none other than remus john lupin.
y/n quickly got up onto her feet and patting her uniform down, draco doing the same.
"father i-"
"malfoy. dorm. now." remus instructed rather sternly.
y/n and draco quickly shuffled past him.
"not you y/n lupin."
the friction of y/n's sneakers and the floor let out a small squeak as she stopped dead in her tracks to turn back around to face him.
she stared down at her feet in shame as her father looked at her.
his expression was blank.
without saying another word, remus walked past the girl coldly, a silent gesture for her to follow him.
the walk back to her father's chamber was quiet, y/n was scared shitless.
remus opened the door to his office rather angrily, holding it for y/n to walk in, and slamming it loudly behind them.
remus sat himself angrily by his desk, while y/n sat by the love seat in the sitting area, the older lupin having a full view of his daughter.
the man stared blankly into space, his face straight, he was angrily picking at the dead skin on his fingers.
y/n kept her head down the whole time, not once daring to look into her father's eyes.
they stayed like this for hours.
and i mean. literal. hours.
remus was trying to process what happened while y/n's anxiousness continued rising every passing second.
"you've got to be joking y/n!" remus slammed his fist on the table and finally broke the silence, causing y/n to flinch, a tear escaping her eye.
"draco malfoy?" he scoffed.
y/n had never ever in her life seen her father so upset and angry before.
"he's nothing like his father i promise, he's such a great boy if only you just got to know hi-"
"lucius malfoy mudered your mother!" remus shouted at the girl.
that was one of the most crucial reasons why y/n and draco had to keep their relationship a secret.
the night lily and james were murdered, remus and y/n were in ireland staying with relatives while y/n's mother stayed behind in england. she had decided to pay a visit to the potter cottage that very night.
lucius malfoy had used the killing curse on mrs lupin when she tried to fight back.
but y/n knew draco was nothing like his father. she had grown to love the boy so much and even if his father did not, the young blonde had a heart of gold.
maybe he wasn't the nicest to others, but he was an absolute sweetheart to the girl he loved.
and she also knew that draco lived with immense guilt over his girlfriend's mother's death.
there were nights where he would cry into y/n's shoulder, apologising profusely to the girl for his father's wrongdoing, telling her how much he didn't deserve to be loved by her.
and that was when y/n knew draco was a good person, because no dark wizard would ever apologise for their actions.
"but that's not who he is-"
"his father is the reason why you don't have a mother anymore!" remus stormed over to the girl, standing over her.
y/n could feel the walls shake from how loud he was shouting.
"you..just..have to get to know him!" y/n cried, tears streaming down her face as she buried her face in her hands.
"i can't believe you're still defending him!" he spat in her face.
"because i love him!"
"well i'm bloody grateful your mother isn't here to see how much of a disappointment you've become!"
the moment the words left remus' mouth, y/n's eyes widened in shock.
she knew her father wouldn't approve of their relationship at first, but she'd never imagined he would be capable of saying such things. especially since he knew how much y/n wanted to make her mother proud.
"i hate you. i wish i never had a father like you," y/n stood up from her seat, poking his chest with her pointer as she spoke through gritted teeth.
"wait y/n, darlin' i didn't mean what i sai-" remus tried to stop her when she shoved past him.
"if you didn't mean it, then you wouldn't have said it," y/n sniffed as she wiped her nose with the sleeve of her robes.
y/n ran down the halls when she bumped into ernie.
"y/n? are you alright?" ernie tried to reach forward to comfort the crying girl.
"don't...don't touch me," her voice shaky as she quickly ran off in the direction of the courtyard.
draco did not in fact return to his dorm when he was told to, instead he stayed in the castle halls, looking for the father-daughter duo.
as he stalked through the hallways, he walked into a rather confused ernie.
"oi, macmillan have you seen y/n?"
"um yea, she was crying but she ran off before anything happened," ernie informed, scratching his head.
draco knew exactly where y/n was.
the only place she'd go to when she's sad.
draco sprinted to the black lake, where he was met with the back of y/n's dark silhouette, she was staring off into the lake.
"hi mum..." y/n hugged her knees as she stared at the moving waters.
remus had told y/n that back in her hogwarts days, when he was still courting her, the black lake was y/n's mother's favourite place.
her and lily would dangle their legs into it and watch the sunset and rise.
and so, whenever y/n was at hogwarts and felt like she needed to talk to her mother, she'd head to the black lake, and well, talk to her.
"i'm sorry..i'm so sorry," y/n sniffed as she sobbed, "but i love him....i love him so so much. for the first time ever, i don't feel alone, because i have him. he makes me feel complete mum."
"oh my gorgeous y/n," draco breathed out.
y/n whipped her head around when she heard the familiar voice.
she quickly ran into draco's arms.
"he...said i was a disappointment to my mother," y/n wailed into his chest.
"he didn't mean it, sweetheart, your father loves you so much," draco comforted the girl, rubbing her back.
"then why did the words..leave his mouth s-so easily,"
'i don't know sweetheart, but i do know that he is so proud of you, proud of the beautiful, intelligent, wonderful girl you are,"
y/n pulled her head away from draco's chest to look up at him.
"what if..he never accepts us," a frown visible on y/n's face.
"then so be it, who cares what anyone thinks my love. even if the whole world is against us, i will never leave your side. you will always have me," draco combed her hair with his hands, "but i promise you my girl, your father didn't mean what he said, he was just angry, he loves you just as much as i do."
"i love you so much draco lucius malfoy."
"je t'aime mon amour."
the young couple shared a loving kiss.
what they didn't know, was that remus was hiding behind a tree, watching.
maybe draco was nothing like his father.

Maybe
Summary: In which Draco and Y/N dance and think on what could have been.
A/N: The ending feels a little rushed IMO, but I honestly just couldn’t figure out how I wanted to end this! There isn’t really a concrete ending, which I guess is good for open-ended lovers!
Warnings: mentions of war, pregnancy
Word Count: 1.8k
. . .
Everyone stared.
You thought that perhaps you had never been surrounded by so many people, and right now every single pair of eyes was on you.
Well, on the boy next to you.
He stood with shaking hands, looking to the ground with a face smeared with dirt. Did he know that everyone was looking at him? That everyone was waiting to see what his next move would be?
His eyes bounced from the ground to the opposite end of the clocktower courtyard when a soft voice called, “Draco, come.”
Your own gaze moved from him to the source. His mother. You could see Draco’s assurance falter. Yours did as well. A few moments ago you would have been sure that Draco could resist the call of Voldemort; after all, he had no real respect for the figure. But Narcissa? Draco had, in fact, nothing but respect for his mother.
He stared at her for a moment. Draco looked around him, at the peers he had called both enemies and friends, at the incredibly lessened amount of faces. Maybe he thought he would find the answers in the crowd. People had been telling him what to do all his life; why not now? You had never been one of those people, but Draco also knew he could always turn to you for guidance.
But he did not look your way. Though you stood right beside him, Draco attempted to step down from the marbled stoop upon which you both stood without sparing you even a glance. Later, he would tell you it was because he knew if he met your eyes, he never would have been able to take that step.
He never had to, though, because you reached for his hand just before he could leave your reach. At your touch, he immediately stilled. When he turned to face you, you could see the tears forming in Draco’s eyes. He was afraid.
“You don’t have to do this, Draco,” you said. You knew there were hundreds of eyes on you, but in that moment it didn’t matter. All that mattered was Draco knowing he had another option. Another life, here with you. “Stay with me. I love you.”
You squeezed his hand.
He squeezed back.
. . .
Draco’s hand slipped onto the patch of skin that your ballgown left exposed, breaking you from your reverie. His touch on the small of your back was both a welcome and unfamiliar sensation.
He felt different than he had all those years ago. Back when you were both young and free and warm. A lot had changed since then.
Draco was cold now, in more ways than one. His touch left a whisper of frost everywhere it landed, and his stance was rigid, even as he danced with you on the sweeping floors of Malfoy Manor. The two of you had spoken very few words, only pleasantries and Draco’s invitation to dance. You could tell there was an initial shock when he first saw you. After all, it was the first time you had accepted one of the Malfoys’ gala invites. You always told your friends you couldn’t imagine yourself within the bitter walls of Malfoy Manor, but they knew the real reason you had never attended an event here.
“It’s been quite a while since I’ve seen you,” Draco suddenly said. He spoke quietly, but not necessarily soft. Just hushed.
You nervously shifted your hand from his shoulder to the space just below it. Immediately stunned with how toned he still seemed to be, you moved your hand back to where it had been. You shook off your nerves.
“Yes, I’ve been very busy.”
“So I’ve heard,” Draco commented. “Working our way up to Minister for Magic, are we?”
You flushed before looking up and noticing the smirk Draco wore. He knew you had never wanted such a stuffy job, but he also knew that you would not stop working toward the top until you reached it. And perhaps he was right: what next step was there but Minister for Magic?
You returned his chiding smile. “Not quite the plan, but if that’s where life takes me, who am I to fight it?”
“Ah,” Draco sighed, “you and your ideas of fate.”
A rise in the music called for a quick turn, and Draco spun you around with as much grace as humanly possible. You were not a dancer in any sense of the word, but you had been to enough formal events to know how to tame a dancefloor.
As you settled back into your sways, Draco exhaled. “Perhaps you are onto something. If I had any say in where life took me, I wouldn’t be here right now.” You sent a troubled look Draco’s way. Your expression must have done its job, for he quickly elaborated. “Well, I suppose I would still be dancing with you. But certainly not as an unhappy man married to another woman.”
There it was, you thought. You knew the night wouldn’t last long without some mention of Astoria. However, you had thought that Draco’s first reference to her would be one of a raving nature. After all, she was pregnant with his child–a son you had heard–and you had seen how they grew fond of one another over the past several years. You knew how excited Draco was to be a father, but maybe that didn’t have to mean he was thrilled to be a husband.
But of course, you knew that voicing any of this would lead to conversations you simply weren’t ready to have. And so you congratulated him on the approaching arrival of his son instead.
“I heard about Astoria’s pregnancy,” you told him. The music swelled around you, just enough that the other pairs thought it the perfect moment for a dip, but you and Draco remained still. His wife was not present tonight, and you assumed it was due to the late stage of her pregnancy. You had heard the news months ago, but this was the first time seeing Draco since then. “You must be so happy.”
Foregoing speaking, Draco hummed in agreement. You took the moment that his eyes glazed over as an opportunity to watch his face. There was stress there, and age, undoubtedly, but it also appeared as though some of the lines were from grins and laughter rather than worry. You were glad. If Draco couldn’t have been happy with you, you were satisfied to see that he found it somewhere.
“I know what you’re thinking,” Draco interrupted with a cough and a murmur. He was not looking at you, but at the sparkling ceiling above. They must have cast a charm on it earlier in the day to bring the night sky indoors. “That I must be so content in this life. A beautiful wife, a baby on the way.”
Draco looked back down at you, tightening his grip on your waist just a fraction, just enough for you to notice. “But it wasn’t what I wanted.”
“You always–” you began, but Draco cut you off.
“It was never about what I wanted though,” he said. He gestured around the two of you. “This was always what they planned for me, I suppose, fate be damned.” You both studied the people around you, faceless space-fillers in the grandeur of the Malfoy way of life. And then, without any preface: “I loved you, know you.”
You couldn’t deny that you had dreamt of this moment over many restless nights, alone in your flat while Draco laid happily with a wife that was not you, in a life you weren’t a part of. Though the pair of you had been so close in Hogwarts that nearly everyone assumed you were dating, nothing romantic ever quite happened. Of course, there were late nights in the library and whispered secrets and almost-kisses, but nothing solid. When Draco had asked you to be his date to the Yule Ball in fourth year, you thought that surely he would confess his feelings for you, but later that night, you saw him with another Slytherin and ignored him for a week, even when he brought you sweets every day. But now, over ten years later, for some reason, Draco thought it an opportune moment to say the words you had waited ages for? You were frustrated, angry almost to the point of madness, but you didn’t realize it then. Only later, when the party was over and you returned home, would you reflect on his words and their horrid timing and realize just what an idiot Draco Malfoy really is.
Right now, the only words you could muster were the truth. “So did I.”
“How mindless,” he mused, scoffing as he shook his head a bit, “all those wasted years. All those missed opportunities.” He paused. “Though I suppose one made more difference than all the others.”
You nodded solemnly, needing no more information to know exactly which he referred to. The Battle of Hogwarts had been a sobering event in countless ways, one of which being that it proved loyalties. You still maintained that a part of you had thought Draco would defy Voldemort and his family when the time came. And yet, when it did, you squeezed his hand, and he dropped yours. An ending so devastatingly different from the one you often daydreamed about. There was no way to go back now, but you still said, “You didn’t have to do that.”
And just as you hadn’t needed further explanation, neither did he. As though the conversation had not already been serious, Draco sobered. He looked to the ground, avoiding your eyes. “I thought I did,” he said. “It felt like the only way to protect my family.” He chuckled a bit at his own misfortune, though it was not a pleasant sound. “All that to keep them safe, and they still remain the root of my discontent.”
“I know it’s not worth much, but I do believe they thought they were doing what was best for you.” You shifted the hand on Draco’s shoulder up a notch to rest on his cheek. You knew if anyone looked too closely at the two of you in this moment, they would be suspicious of such an aura between Draco Malfoy, a married man, and this strange unrecognizable woman. But here you were, and you did not mind the stares. “I hope you find happiness, Draco.”
He reached his own hand to rest upon yours, and you could have sworn that his previously icy fingers warmed upon meeting yours. “Maybe we could have had that,” he said. “Happiness.” He glanced into your eyes, and it was the first time you felt he had truly looked at you all night. A flicker of warmth flashed across his eyes, and as soon as you registered it, it disappeared, replaced by an unfeeling glaze. “Maybe if you had told me then.”
And with that, he lowered his hand, dropped your waist, and turned away.
As the orchestra finished their piece, the other partygoers clapped their hands in amusement, hoping for another chapter of music.
You stood, frozen in the middle of the dancefloor, and watched, helpless, as Draco Malfoy left the ballroom, walking away from you again.
And you were left with that damned word, that held so much and yet nothing at all.
Maybe.

Death's Girlfriend #6 (Final)
Draco's POV
I sat in my dorm room, staring at the note which lay in front of me. It had been a week since Y/N left. The Ministry gave them to me saying that I'd want to see it.
Did I though? Did I want to be reminded of the venomous thorns I planted in her lungs?
I took a deep breath and shakily reached for the note. 'To My Favourite Ferret' carefully written on it. I let out a dry laugh as I read it. I then slowly opened the note. My eyes widened and I could feel the tears I had been crying for the past week come back again.
'Dear Dray,
If you're reading this, then that either means I ran out of time or I took the treatment. Either way, I probably didn't even get a chance to say goodbye. Please don't think I wrote this to break the two of you apart. I simply can't take it anymore. I can no longer breathe and words barely leave my tongue. Maybe it's for the best. If I tried telling you this in person, I might die in front of you. Maybe you'd leave her and come to me out of pity. Maybe you'd stay by my side. Maybe. Just maybe. But both of you mean too much. Instead, I'm writing this for when I've already left. Will it be easier for you to forget me.'
I stopped reading for a second to take a few shaky breaths. After about a minute, I continued to read.
'Roses are red. Violets are blue. Time left me, As did you.
Yet with time, the roses grew, And with them, my love for you. You made my heart sing with every word, But in the end, my love was never heard.
Perhaps in the end, it wasn't meant to be, The love I saved for the chance of you and me. My vision has faded, my eyes now dull, Unable to speak, with both lungs full.
I write my final words, without a certain melody. Perhaps to avoid speaking them to you breathlessly. Was it wishful thinking? Did you ever care? Because the moment you found her, it was as if I was never there.'
My body shook as sobs raked through me. My eyes widened as I heard a soft knock on the door. I slowly rose from my desk and walked towards the door, ignoring the trembling in my legs. A part of me hoped that she would be there. That she would be standing there; waiting with open arms and her bright smile, but I knew that wasn't the reality. I opened the door and stared at the visitor with dull eyes.
"Hey, you alright?" asked Hermione. She had been checking on me frequently along with Ron, forgetting all about the rivalry because of the event. They were the only other two who knew the true cause of Y/N's death. We asked the doctors to keep it a secret. Instead, the Clearwater family was told that she was attacked in the middle of the night.
"Yeah." I replied.
"Shit... Don't look at us with those eyes." said Ron. I looked at him in confusion. "Those were the same eyes she had whenever we tried talking to her."
"Oh..." I muttered. "Anyways, I'm fine." I said.
"That's what she said. We trusted her, and look what happened!" exclaimed Hermione.
"Don't even think of pulling some Romeo and Juliet shit on us." growled Hermione. I sighed as I walked into my room, not bothering to shut the door. I collapsed onto my seat and looked towards the note.
"Want to see what she left behind?" I asked, giving them a broken smile. Hermione was the first to step in. I began by handing him the letter. She read through it with teary eyes, and the moment she got to the poem, she burst into tears.
"What is it, Mione?" asked Ron.
Hermione handed the letter to him with a shaky hand. Ron read over it. His eyes growing wider as he neared the end. He threw the letter at me before shouting out profanities.
"Fuck!" he yelled. "We should've done something! Hell, we should've tied her up and dragged her to the fucking St Mungos !"
"Ron, calm down..." muttered Hermione as she wiped away her own tears.
"Why do you two care so much anyways?" I asked, my voice tired.
"She's not the only person who had hanahaki." said Hermione. "Ron did too." My eyes widened as I stared at him.
"Shit... she had the same fucking reaction!" he yelled, balling his fists, "Why..." muttered Ron. "It wasn't worth it. You weren't worth it." he said before stomping out of the room with Hermione chasing after him.
"Y/N..." I muttered to myself in the new-found silence. "Can you hear me? Ha... I'm probably going insane. I remember you used to always listen to this song... called 'Heather'... Was it your favorite..? I remember you always sang along whenever it played on the radio.... I miss you... Would you be mad if I... joined you?"

So - I have been working on this fanfic for quite some time, and finally decided it was time to share it with the world. This is a Harry Potter fanfiction, set at the same time as the Half Blood Prince.
Wynona Wright has always kept herself to herself. No she is not a longer OR lonely, but she does enjoy her own company more often than that of others.
However, something hasn’t been right since the end of her fifth year at Hogwarts, and she is starting to think that she might be involved somehow.
You can read it at AO3 or Wattpad, and I will also be posting chapters here too.
You can also find more info about the story and characters on this page, including original character face claims etc.
I hope you enjoy - see under the cut for main pairings - spoiler alert warning!
Setting: Hogwarts school during the Half Blood Prince
Main Pairing: Draco Malfoy x Female OC (Wynona Wright)
Minor Pairings: Dean Thomas x Ginny Weasley; Harry Potter x Ginny Weasley; Ron Weasley x Lavender Brown; Neville Longbottom x Susan Bones

The Voice
REQUEST HERE
prompt; Hi there, I love your writing btw, I was wondering if you could write a draco x reader where the school decides to put on a musical and they're holding auditions and a certain amount of people from each house has to audition and draco and his friends go to laugh at the people but then y/n goes up and she/he has an amazing voice and draco is just stunned and realizes how beautiful they are and kinda gets flustered around them in class, Ik this is really specific but I hope you can make it work!
“I don't know about this, Fred.” You say anxiously, as you stand backstage, next in line, to Audition for Hogwart’s first ever musical. The Weasley twins somehow managed to convince Dumbledore the school needed a bit more...fun. “Ah come on Y/N, you’ll do great!” George encourages you, causing the familiar knot to form deeper in your stomach. “I’ve heard you in the common room at night. You sound amazing!” Fred adds. “You-you could hear me?” You ask horrified, feeling the heat rise to your cheeks instantly. You had to admit you enjoyed singing, but never thought you were “amazing”, just okay...  As the first year ahead of you finished her rendition of a vastly overplayed muggle song, your name was called...
“Well thank Merlin that’s over. I can practically feel my ears bleeding.” Draco snickers, causing his goons Crabbe and Goyle to chuckle. “Next up, Y/N!” Hagrid’s loud voice boomed through the crowd. “Y/N?” Draco wondered aloud. “Mhmm. Never knew she had an interest in theatre...then again she associates with muggles, this is no stretch.” Crabbe and Goyle laugh, causing which Draco to cut his eyes at them. He instructs them to shut up, oddly intrigued to hear you sing.
“It’s too late to turn back now, right?” You ask Fred and George, already knowing the answer. “YES!” they shout in unison, as they usher you onto the stage.
Next thing you know, you are faced with what seemed like a million pairs of eyes staring you down. Hagrid glided over to you, handing you a mic. “Whenever you're ready Y/N.” Hagrid smiled, before exiting the stage, leaving you alone.
“We don't have all day!” An annoyed fourth year yelled from the crowd, which caused Crabbe, Goyle and Draco to produce approving chuckles, as the rest of the students gave you sympathetic looks.
You took one last glance at the Weasley twins, before inhaling deeply. You nodded towards Hagrid, who pressed play on the muggle soundtrack you gave him.
You began to sing, nervous at first but like always, you got lost within the music. Even you had to admit, you sounded amazing. The way your voiced echoed around the large room, and the stunned faces of those amongst the crowd- especially Malfoy’s. Once the song ended you were brought back to reality with a loud cheer from the crowd. Needless to say you got the lead role..
The next week, as you were in herbology, you noticed Draco acting weird...even more so than usual. You brushed it off though, it’s Draco after all.
Though, day after day his behaviour became increasingly unusual. He would stare at you, like he was in some sort of trance. Today, was one of those days.
“Can I help you, Draco?” You asked annoyed.
“Uh, what? I mean n-no. Sorry.” He stammered. Draco, apologizing? You thought... aloud.
“What is that so crazy?” he chuckled. “Wow and he has a sense of humour..I must be in an alternative reality.” you responded, causing the two of you to laugh.
“Really though...” You begin once reality hit you and you realized this was Draco you were joking with... which still felt odd to say.
“Whats with you? You're acting strange..” you conclude skeptically.
“Honestly...” He starts, causing you to become slightly nervous at his calm tone. You expected him to spit some rude remark to you, yet his tone and nerves made you think otherwise...
“After I heard you sing...I just-I started to see you in a different...way.” He spoke slowly, hands shoved deep in his pockets, feet shuffling back and forth.
“I can't really explain it. I know it’s weird. You were just so...beautiful.” Your heart fluttered at Draco’s confession. His cheeks flushed, eyes avoiding your gaze.
You slowly brought your hand to his cheek, forcing his eyes to meet your gentle gaze.
You didn't really know how to respond, only you knew you felt a similar way about him. You had always repressed it because of how he treated your friends, but he was different around you...kind.
You brought his face to yours and connected your lips. His were soft and you melted in his touch. Your heart was beating fast, as his hand softly planted itself on your cheek, the other slowly roaming your waist. You both slowly pulled apart, desperately yearning for more, at the loss of contact. “You know,” you began, as he gently rested his forehead against yours, whilst his fingers drew slow circles on your skin. “-I could get used to this.” He simply hummed in response, bringing his lips to yours once again. And thus, the start of an epic romance.

He adores rings and he will get at least two news ones every week. Whenever you compliment his rings he will give them to you, and when he gives you a ring, he will throw a fit if he doesn’t see you wearing it. He sees it as a way of showing people that you’re his and only his.
He would never wear a ring from anyone except from his mother and you, other than that he will never wear a ring he hasn’t purchased himself.
He can never express his words properly and how he is feeling, so he writes them in the form of poetry or he conveys them while he plays the piano.
He won’t ever let anyone read his personal poetry but on special occasions like; your birthday, Valentine’s day, or your anniversary, he would write you a poem expressing how much he values and loves you.
If you are already in a relationship with him he will not say I love you first, no matter how much he loves you.
He loves spending time in the quidditch pitch, it’s his other sanctuary other than the astronomy tower. When he starts trusting you he will take you first to the astronomy tower, but when he starts to really love you he will take you to the quidditch pitch. Flying gives him freedom, therefore so does the quidditch pitch, if he takes you there you have every right to feel special.

You Just Go on Living
Summary: In which Draco Malfoy destroys himself to protect his lover.
A/N: I wrote this between 2 and 4 AM, so it’s a little shitty but I’ve had this little idea for a while and finally got around to writing it so I’m just going to post it, oops. I also did not proofread in the slightest... It’s gonna be a long one, and there will probably be a good bit of backstory also, so sorry if that’s not your thing, but I hope you enjoy the heartbreak!
(PS please ignore the inconsistencies with time travel info and the butterfly effect and whatnot in this fic because quite honestly I didn’t know how else to go about it. You’ll see what I mean!!)
Warnings: mentions of death
Word Count: 4.3k
. . .
Draco Malfoy knew what he had to do.
He had known since four nights ago when Voldemort made an appearance in his own living room. Draco Malfoy, surrounded on one side by laughing Death Eaters and on the other by the grim faces of his parents, watched as his own professor was murdered, while another one watched.
Severus Snape was Draco’s godfather, and this title came with certain duties, even above those of the Dark Lord, one of which being to protect Draco. Draco was unaware of this fact, but Snape had sworn to protect him at all costs, and while it seemed that the vow would have been fulfilled after Dumbledore’s death, Severus Snape still felt a sort of honor in protecting his godson. And, as much as he despised the notion, this meant protecting his heart as well.
And so after Voldemort’s theatrics at Malfoy Manor, Snape pulled Draco aside and told him the most heartbreaking news he would likely ever hear.
“The Dark Lord,” Snape drawled. “He knows of Y/N.”
Draco Malfoy’s solemn face instantly rose to look Snape in the eye, a sudden urgency to his actions.
“What?” he questioned, standing from his chair in the corner of the drawing room to be eye level with Snape. “What does he know about her?”
Snape bowed his head in some manner of helplessness, yet stayed silent as Draco turned on his heel to approach the fireplace. He rested his arm on the ledge above it for a moment before spitting out his words once again, although this time with much more aggression.
“What does he know about her? What does he know about Y/N?”
“Draco,” Snape began, but his usual slow tone was not a quick enough source of information for the desperate Malfoy boy.
Rather than repeat his question to the stone wall he faced, he spun around to face Snape. The look on his face was all the motivation the professor needed to prioritize his answer. He may not particularly like the boy, and he certainly did not like Y/N, but he understood what it was to have the Dark Lord find one’s weakness.
“He knows,” Snape said gravely, “of your relations with her.”
Draco ran his hands across his face and through his cropped hair in angst. “So you’re saying . . .”
“Yes, my boy,” Snape confirmed, knowing exactly what Draco would have to say, “he knows of your love for her.”
Draco collapsed back into his chair as Snape merely watched. He did not expect comfort, and he thought it would be rather strange if he were to receive it. And so Draco, alone, remembered last year’s looming threat of Voldemort harming his parents if he did not do as he was told. He had thought that in itself cruel, although this was not unusual for a creature as horrid as Voldemort, but he recalled being relieved beyond measure that the Dark Lord knew nothing of his relationship with Y/N Y/L/N. He had not known what he would do if she was used as a pawn, a motivational sacrifice.
But now he knew. He knew, and Draco did not know how, but he did. And Draco thought it odd that Voldemort had not yet flaunted that to him, or to anyone, but Snape knew. Logic told Draco that of course Snape knew; he was one of Voldemort’s most trusted allies, but his grief convinced him otherwise.
Draco’s hands paused in his hair and came to lay on his thighs, just close enough to the trouser pocket that contained his wand. He leaned forward from resting on the back of the wooden chair he sat in, and in a collected tone, asked Snape, “How does he know this?”
Hesitant, Snape replied, “I am not sure. Although, you and I both know he has countless sources of information, and—”
His voice suddenly louder and sharper, Draco said, “How do you not know? Surely he would have told you this also?”
It was at this point that Snape realized Draco’s thoughts, and he reached to quell them before they could truly take root. “I assure you—”
But Draco was too quick, and before Snape could let any more words from his mouth, Draco was out of his chair, grabbing Snape’s cloak in one fist and gripping his wand in the other. He held the tip of his wand to Snape’s cheek, and for a man who was usually so composed, Snape seemed almost . . . afraid. However, he had the right, for he had never seen his godson in such a state.
“What did you tell him?” Draco whispered, his face incredibly close to Snape’s, close enough that the professor could smell the scent of shampoo wafting from his hair and the tingle of mint on his breath. He cringed.
“I told him nothing,” Snape repeated. As Draco breathed heavily into his face, Snape moved excruciatingly slowly to pull his own wand from his robes. Upon success, he pushed the tip of it into the side of Draco’s torso, and when Draco felt the pressure, he immediately backed up.
Both of their wands raised, the two men stared at each other, one defensive, one anguished, each in dangerous states. Snape’s paranoid reaction to his words convinced Draco’s inconsolable mind even further of his guilt. And so he yelled this time, “What did you tell him?”
And he shot a curse at his own godfather. Snape merely blocked the spell and begged Draco to calm himself, but before the boy could even send another curse toward him, Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy rushed into the room, both concerned with the noise. Voldemort had left, and along with him any commotion, so the Manor had been silent, until the sound of Draco’s shattered voice rang through the halls. Upon seeing her son and old friend seemingly preparing to duel, Narcissa Malfoy approached Draco, and he finally noticed her.
“Mother, go,” he urged her, not wavering in his hostility toward Snape, though softening his voice a bit for his mother. Narcissa saw her son’s hands shake a bit as he aimed his wand at Snape, but he never shot another curse. Something in him broke a bit when his mother entered the room, and perhaps it was because of her lack of hesitation in approaching him despite his clearly unsteady state. Lucius did nothing, though Draco would admit his presence alone intimidated him out of trying to harm Snape further.
In a moment of weakness, or perhaps strength, Draco stalked from the room and into the gardens, and it was in the following moments of solitude that he realized what his next step had to be: what he had to do to protect Y/N.
. . .
Y/N Y/L/N’s reaction upon seeing her boyfriend was always hearty. This was mostly due to her cheerful demeanor, and that it always took her a moment to read Draco’s own mood and subsequently shift hers to fit it.
And so when Draco Apparated to her home just days before the start of their last year at Hogwarts, she needed time to adjust to his obvious devastation.
She heard a pop outside her bedroom window some time in the early afternoon, and when she looked outside, she was delighted to see a head of blonde hair headed for her backyard. That was her and Draco’s spot when she was home, and he knew that she always heard him arrive and did not need to announce himself.
Y/N threw on a sweater to brave the crisp air outside and rushed down the stairs to meet Draco. She swung open the door in the kitchen that led to her grassy backyard and nearly shouted a greeting to her boyfriend, but she noticed that he was sitting, slouched, on the brick wall around her mother’s garden, and his head was hanging low, so she sobered her presence.
Not realizing the severity of his state, Y/N still maintained a certain level of joy in his appearance. She walked around the dirt patch of fruits, vegetables, and regular flowers, and stood in front of Draco. She furrowed her eyebrows a bit and teased, “To what do I owe this pleasure?”
When Draco did not answer and continued to stare at the grass beneath his dress shoes, Y/N sighed and took a seat next to him. She knew life had been terrible to him recently, especially after last year. She had been the one to convince him he was better than Voldemort’s plans, and so Draco had not harmed anyone. He had tried desperately to destroy the Vanishing Cabinet, but to no avail, and Y/N did her best to pull him through the guilt that wracked him every day because of it. It had been unbelievably difficult to forgive him for what happened because of his actions, but she had already fought so hard to convince him that he could survive Voldemort’s threats, and it seemed she was the only one who could do so. If for no one else, Y/N stayed with Draco Malfoy because he needed her, and because he would destroy himself without her.
And consequently, it was Draco Malfoy’s most menacing fear, that Voldemort would come to realize his love for Y/N. And now he had, and Draco had tried to find any solution but the one he could come to to deal with this fact. But every plan had a roadblock, most of them being that Y/N would wind up hurt, and after all she had sacrificed for him, Draco could not allow that.
“We need to go somewhere else,” Draco whispered, and his tone immediately filled Y/N with dread.
Yet, she quickly responded, “Anywhere,” and without another word, Draco took her hand and Apparated them away.
After the initial shock of the Apparition, Y/N adjusted to her surroundings to find that Draco had already begun walking away. They were on a shore of some sort, although Y/N had no idea where, and Draco was walking along the sand, away from her, under a grey sky.
“Draco!” she shouted, but he did not turn around, and she assumed the crashing of the waves was disturbing his hearing. However, she chased after him, tripping through the sifting sand, and he still did not respond to her repeated shout despite her new proximity. He did not seem to be heading toward anything in particular, and as Y/N looked around even further, she could not find anything that he even could be aiming for.
So caught up in her own thoughts and determination in reaching her horribly despondent Draco, Y/N did not even realize that he had suddenly stopped walking and was staring at the sea. So when she took a break from watching her own feet to ensure their stability and was met with a prompt crash into somebody else, she gasped. Without a word, Draco gripped the top of her arm to stop her from tumbling over, and she couldn’t say she wasn’t grateful, but she was also infuriated.
“Draco Malfoy,” she scolded. “You Apparate us to the middle of nowhere, with no warning, and then leave me practically stranded down the shoreline? Merlin, I hardly had time to figure out where I was before I had to start chasing you down—”
Draco spoke. “Y/N. Please.”
Just the tone of his voice was enough to silence her, for despite her frustration, she would always listen to Draco.
She softened immediately. “What’s wrong?”
Draco, without granting her even a quick glance, continued to stare at the waves, and the shores upon which they crashed. “I’d like to think that I’m out there in some other life.”
Y/N said nothing.
“That maybe I’m a wave in the ocean, and you’re the sand.” He paused. Shook his head. “No. Then again, perhaps it’s the other way around. Yes, you’ve always been the ocean, so I suppose I’m the grain of sand.”
“Maybe we could both be waves,” Y/N suggested, not quite sure where Draco was going with this, but knowing it would lead to him defaming himself in order to raise her up. “Maybe we’re small waves that meet and make something big.”
Draco scoffed. “You’ve always thought too highly of me,” he mumbled. “You think the best of people like me.”
“Of course I do,” she protested. “You’ve given me no reason not to. Even when you thought you were irredeemable, you proved yourself wrong.”
“No,” Draco interrupted. “I’ve proven myself right this time.”
Confused, and a bit shaken, Y/N whispered, “Draco, you’re scaring me. What’s happened?”
A beat of silence.
A wave’s thunder.
A recession of water.
A lifetime of uncertainty.
“He knows, Y/N,” Draco finally said. “He knows.”
The grim look on Draco’s face was all Y/N needed in order to know that he was speaking of Voldemort. No one else, not even his father, could instill such simultaneous fear and disgust in the eyes of Draco Malfoy. Their peers dubbed him a coward for joining Voldemort’s side, but Y/N knew the truth: knew that he had no intention of ever again following through with one of his dark plans. She knew that he was incredibly afraid of what his role entailed, but that he faced it in order to protect those he loved. He was called a coward, but Y/N thought Draco Malfoy was the bravest person she had ever met.
And for someone so brave to look so grave in this moment, in her presence: the place he usually felt most at peace . . . Well, it was disturbing. And there could be nothing else but her safety that would have Draco so troubled, so after a moment, Y/N understood what he meant. On the surface, this seemed to be an unconcerning issue. After all, so what if Voldemort knew that Draco had a girlfriend? Her blood status was not an issue. She was a half-blood, after all. But when she went to voice this, she remembered how Draco had been threatened with his family’s safety last year. How Voldemort swore that if he did not complete the task at hand, his parents would be killed. How if he found out Draco loved someone else, he would approach his threats with the same mercilessness.
As soon as the realization struck her, Y/N shifted her thinking to formulating a plan. “I’ll hide,” she suggested. “I’ll go somewhere he can’t find me. I’m not sure if the safest place would be Hogwarts, that might be too obvious.”
“Y/N,” Draco spoke, although she did not hear.
“My parents,” she continued frantically. “I’ll have to tell them or - or send them away, I don’t—”
And this time, when Draco repeated her name, with more urgency in his voice than she had ever heard, Y/N noticed. After the initial aggression with which he spoke her name, Draco’s voice softened. “Nowhere will be safe enough. He’ll find you. No matter what.”
Her body went cold.
Draco was a man of extremes. A man of loyalty and ferocity and an innate desperation to protect those he cared for, no matter what the cost. He had proven so before. There was no doubt in Y/N’s mind that he would do anything to keep her safe, even if that meant breaking her heart, along with his own.
“No,” Y/N protested, sure she knew what Draco was thinking. After all, how many times had she been able to finish his sentences for him? How many times had she read his mind before he even formulated a thought in his own consciousness? How many times had she known what he would do, how he would act before he knew so himself? “We’re not breaking up. I’m not letting you go through this by yourself Draco, we’ve seen how—”
“I’m not breaking up with you,” Draco said solemnly. It had been what felt like a lifetime since he looked at her, since he touched her.
But Y/N was too relieved at his words to comprehend the stern tone with which he spoke them. She released an alleviating sigh, thanking the universe that Draco had not gone to extremes this time, that maybe he would let her help him and they would confront this together.
“But we can’t be together either,” he continued after a moment. Y/N’s shot from the sky above her to the boy who stood stoic next to her. She tilted her head in confusion and opened her mouth to voice her bewilderment, but before she could let out more than a syllable, Draco clarified. “It’s not enough to part ways, Y/N. I’ll still love you, and he’ll still know that. I can’t care for you at all.”
This time, although still perplexed, Y/N did not move to speak. Rather, she allowed Draco to think aloud.
“A memory charm won’t be enough either, not even on the both of us. I’ve heard lovers can still feel a connection between themselves after their memories are taken. And I can’t think of any other solution . . .”
When he did not continue, Y/N whispered, “What does this mean?”
“It means I need to make a reality where I never fell in love with you.”
She furrowed her eyebrows at the sea. “If I even considered entertaining this idea, how in the hell would you go about that? We’re wizards, Draco, but even we can’t change the past to that extreme. There’s no way to—”
She stopped speaking, stopped the flailing of her arms, stopped breathing, when Draco Malfoy pulled a Time-Turner from his pocket. Even without knowledge of how Draco planned to use it, Y/N would have been shocked at his possession of one. Time-Turners were extremely rare, likely due to the peril they risked, and the last she had heard of someone owning one was Albus Dumbledore himself.
“How did you—”
“My father stole it,” Draco filled in the gaps. “I know it’s not an honorable way to come into possession of one, but I plan to use it nobly.” He turned to look at her, finally, for what seemed like the first time in years. He met her eyes for a split second, then shifted them to the charm that lay in his open palm. He grasped it shut. “Point is, Y/N, I have it, and I intend to use it to protect you. I’ll go back to before we met, I’ll prevent it, I swear.”
“Draco, you can’t just make this decision,” Y/N professed angrily. “I know I’m in danger, but I never thought loving you would be completely safe. I mean, come on, you’re Draco Malfoy. Even without You-Know-Who, your friends serve a mighty threat.”
“This isn’t a joke, Y/N.”
“I know it’s not, Draco. But this is my life too.”
When he looked up, Y/N thought he would meet her eyes, but they instead drifted over her face and to the clouds above them. He threw his hands in the air in frustration, still clasping the Time-Turner with all his might. “And that’s exactly why I need to do this! I can’t be the reason you lose it! I need to make this world so that I never put you in danger by falling in love with you.”
Y/N was not one to back down from a fight, but even she knew there was nothing to be done to change Draco’s mind. The only thing that had ever been greater than Draco’s love for her was his fear of Voldemort, and in this moment, his two phobias were colliding. And that meant there would be no steering his proposed course of action.
So rather than continue to fight him, although she desperately longed to, Y/N sat in the sand and motioned for her forlorn lover to join. He appeared hesitant, but the fact that Y/N was no longer protesting him convinced him to lower to the ground. Y/N had always been the only one able to drag him out of his conservative shell. As unproblematic an action as it seemed, Draco Malfoy would not be caught dead sitting in damp sand in the presence of anyone but his Y/N. Something about her made him forget about the trivial issues of everyday life. Sometimes she cleared his mind completely, but it was much too cloudy today for him to hope for such an outcome.
As soon as he was seated next to her, Y/N rested her head on his shoulder.
“I know there’s no way I could change your mind, but is there a chance I could convince you to wait a bit?” She looked up at him, his blue eyes, his light hair, his perfect face. “To give us some time just to be here?”
She felt his chest move with a deep breath, and she saw his head dip with a wordless nod.
And so Draco Malfoy and Y/N Y/L/N sat on an unknown, unnamed shore, exchanging stories of their time together, of the highs and lows, the laughs and tears, for what they both knew to be a long time, but what felt like none at all.
They recounted their night at the Yule Ball, and Y/N told him it was the first time she had ever seen him truly carefree. He told her he used to despise her for supporting Harry Potter, and she laughed knowingly, assuring him she already knew, but glad that he had learned to agree with her views (although only tolerate the boy). She remembered how jealous she had been when Pansy Parkinson was his Potions partner but how relieved she felt when he admitted he smelt her in his Amortentia.
And when the words were no longer enough, Draco and Y/N sat in silence, with only the crashing waves as ambience, and they watched the sun set an ocean away from their problems. Tears fell from both lovers’ eyes, especially when Y/N sat back and placed her hand on Draco’s cheek.
“You know I don’t want this,” she whispered. “But I know that you’re going to do it either way. Because that’s just who you are. You’ll do anything to protect those you love. But Draco Malfoy, before you do, I need you to know,” she paused, blinking harsh tears from her stinging eyes and trying to ignore those forming in Draco’s own, “that there is no reality in the universe in which I do not love you. I will love you in any and every world that allows us to meet.”
Draco tugged his lips into his mouth and closed his eyes momentarily. When he opened them again, the pooling tears escaped. “And I you. Always.”
Without another word, Y/N pulled Draco’s face to her own and met his lips softer than ever before. They were both shivering at this point, but as soon as their lips connected, their bodies warmed. Draco tugged Y/N into him with a hand behind her neck, and deepened their kiss just enough to communicate his love, his yearning for another lifetime of such kisses. The kiss broke with Y/N’s shuddering breath, and she rested her forehead against Draco’s, her hand still holding his face. She felt wetness pooling at the tops of her fingers, and she swiped across Draco’s face with her thumb, all the while her eyes closed.
“You know I only wish to keep you safe,” Draco sighed. “I would not do this if I did not truly believe it to be the only way.”
Y/N nodded, and sucked in a sharp breath at the sound of a tick.
She opened her eyes to see Draco’s hands around the Time-Turner under their faces and quickly looked up at him. For a moment it seemed he would not meet her gaze, and Y/N panicked, thinking she would be forced to abandon this world looking into something other than her lover’s eyes.
But then Draco looked up, and in his mind, he wavered. He could not leave her. How could he possibly think he would be okay without her?
But if they stayed, he would eventually be without her when Voldemort reached her, and that would hurt infinitely more.
Another twist of the Time-Turner.
Countless more.
“Wait.”
Draco’s hands stilled.
“What do I do?” Y/N spoke. “The me in this reality? What does this me do without you?”
Draco shook his head slightly, almost in pain, but before he resumed his motions, he offered, “You just go on living, I suppose.”
One last turn. A twist in time. A seal of fate.
. . .
It is snowing at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
A young girl is walking to class with her peers, smiling wondrously at the frenzy of snowflakes. A blond boy walks the same path with his own companions. He races ahead of the two boys with him and crafts a snowball out of fallen snow in his gloved hands.
In another, much more fortunate reality, the same events conspire. However, in this universe, when the boy throws the pack of snow, it hits Harry Potter, his intended target, rather than the back of the beautiful girl’s head. So she hurries her pace upon predicting a brawl and ducks into the castle, already on the way to her next lesson. The boy smirks at his friends and mocks Harry Potter’s misfortune. In this universe, Y/N Y/L/N and Draco Malfoy never meet.
And so, years later, when Draco Malfoy’s heart breaks, it is not because he lived to regret falling for Y/N Y/L/N, but rather because he never got the chance.

Death's Girlfriend #5
I lay on the ground, surrounded in a puddle of my own blood and tears. Sighing, I slowly pushed myself up and rose to my feet. My legs trembled with every step. I slowly managed to make my way towards my bed. I thought I'd be able to last at least a few more days, but at this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if I died tonight. I stared out my window with a tired expression. My classmates had been visiting me every now and then throughout the day. Every time they asked me what's wrong, I'd tell them I had a mere fever, but it was far more than that. By now, just about everyone in my class had turned up at my door at least once to see if I'm alright. Everyone except them. I turned my head as I heard a knock on the door. I shakily rose from my bed and approached the door, stopping to lean on something every now and then to keep myself from collapsing. I don't know when I stopped bothering to fix my appearance, but I did. I opened the door to find both Hermione and Ron staring at me with wide eyes.
"Hey guys." I croaked out.
"Save your energy." said Hermione with tears brimming in her eyes.
"Don't cry." I said, my voice weak and frail.
"Damn it!" yelled Ron as he threw his fist into the wall. "Why didn't you listen?! Come on! I almost lost my life because of this damn disease! I will not stand by and watch the same happen to someone if I can help it!"
"No." I stated, my voice sounding stronger than it had ever been in the past few days. "I'm not getting the treatment. We went over this."
"Y/N... why..? Is all of this pain worth it?" asked Hermione. I nodded my head.
"It doesn't matter now. Today might be my last day." I said, putting on a smile. "It feels like my throat is on fire. Thorns don't show mercy, do they?" I let out a light laugh, but it only resulted in me turning my head away from the door so I could cough some more. "I'll be fine." I said, turning back towards them as I shifted my body to block the new puddle of blood, thorns, and roses.
"You guys still have classes. Go ahead and return to the school."
"Are you sure?" asked Hermione.
"We could stay." I shook my head.
"I'll be perfectly fine." I said, faking a smile. "I don't want you guys missing classes." Both of them slowly nodded their heads and made their way down the hall. I carefully shut the door, not bothering to lock it again.
I faced my back to the door and slid to the ground. I stared at my dorm. The floor was littered with white petals, each one stained with blood.
Pale yellow rose petals... how funny...
I let out a dry laugh as I felt my chest tighten yet again. I burst into a fit of coughs, the familiar feeling of thorns clawing at my throat brought tears to my eyes.
Four days..? That's all it took... I stared out the window with tired eyes. My final wish...?
May no one suffer the same fate I sentenced myself to.
Draco's POV
"Come on, Draco!" exclaimed Pansy as she dragged me around the city. Perhaps it wasn't the brightest of options, but skipping one day of school wouldn't kill anyone, right?
"Pansy, I don't see why we need to head out." I said, letting the black haired girl drag me around.
"If we want my sister to believe we're dating, we might as well act like it." she said, continuing to walk down the sidewalk. "Soon enough, she'll realize how much she cares about you and ask you out. It's pretty simple."
"Pansy, I don't think making her jealous is the best way to do this." I said, turning around to head back to campus, but she grabbed hold of my arm and held me in place.
"Why don't you understand?" she asked, her voice sad. "I know I agreed to help you.. but... I like you too." The words caught me off guard. I stared into her eyes. She stared back almost as if she was pleading me to stay.
"I don't feel the same way, but I'll accompany you until this evening." I said with a sigh. Her face lit up and it was as if I had just given her some hope. I sighed again as she continued to drag me down the side walk.
We had been walking for a while. It was now a few hours past lunch and we were still wandering around the city.
"Hey, I think we should head back otherwise it'll be dark by the time we get to the dorms." I said, stopping.
"Alright." she said with a sigh.
The walk back was mostly silent. She wore a solemn expression on her face as if she was disappointed we had to return.
I'm sorry Pansy, I don't feel the same way.
The streets were silent and the sun was slowly beginning to set.
"Hey..." began Pansy, interrupting the silence. "What does she have that I don't..? Am I not good enough? Am I not pretty enough? Am I not kind enough? Am I not strong enough? What does she have?!" her voice grew louder and more pained with every word.
"She has my heart." I stated before walking ahead of her.
«────── « ⋅⚜⋅ » ──────»
I walked into the dorms to find my classmates staring at me.
"Where's Pansy?" asked Daphne.
"She'll head in later." I replied, heading towards the girls dormitories. On the walk here, I made my decision.
I'm going to tell her.
When the doors to the hallway opened, I was greeted with an eerie silence. Every time I walked down this hall to visit Y/N, there was always at least some form of noise coming from her room, be it her singing or the music she always loved to listen to, but all that greeted me was an unsettling stillness. I walked towards her room, taking a deep breath before knocking lightly on the door. There was no response.
Strange...
"Y/N?" I called through the door. Still no reply. "Y/N?" I called again, this time raising my voice a bit louder. All that came was more silence. I instinctively reached for the handle which, to my shock, was unlocked. I quietly cracked it open in case she was asleep, but my body froze at what I saw.
"Y/N...?" I asked, my voice shaky. I swung the door open further, allowing the light from the hall to filter into the dark room.
In front of me lay a motionless body. Her matted H/C hair covered her face. The body rested in a pool of crimson. Stained roses littered around her. I fell to my knees as I simply stared in shock. I slowly began crawling towards her, my heart beating faster with every inch.
No. It's not real. None of this is real. I'll wake up, right? It's just a bad dream. I'll wake up. And when I wake up, you'll be awake too... right?
Tears dripped down my face as I couldn't stop the sobs. I ignored the sounds of footsteps rushing down the hall towards the room. Nothing mattered. I reached out for the dead girl. I lifted her into my arms while I sat there on the ground. Carefully brushing her hair aside, I looked at her face. Despite being stained with tears, she wore a peaceful expression. She looked as if she had been freed. I froze a second time as a hand was placed on my shoulder. I looked up to see Hermione. She gasped as tears streamed down her face as well.
"I'm sor-" she began.
"No!" I yelled, my voice bouncing off the walls of the room. "This is all a bad dream! I'll wake up! She'll be alive! She won't be... dead..." My voice trailed off as I stared down at her. "She'll be alive... and breathing... She'll be smiling like she always is..."
"Look I-"
"Shut up!" I yelled. "I don't want to hear it..."15
"It's your fault!" yelled a voice. I whipped my head around to see Weasley staring at us through the doorway. His face was clouded with regret and anger.
"W-what?" I stuttered.
"This happened to her because she loved you!" he yelled. That's when it clicked. The roses... the thorns... the blood... Everything.
"I did this..." I muttered to myself. Hermione placed a hand on each of my shoulders. She shook me lightly.
"No. She wanted this." she said, staring into my eyes. "It was her choice."
"Why?!" I asked, holding her tighter.
"Who said love couldn't kill?" asked Ron as he let out a dry laugh. "Love hurts just as much as the thorns which pierced her lungs."

Death's Girlfriend #4
2 Days later
I turned a corner and darted into the girls' restroom. I threw open a stall and let out the coughs I had been holding in. My eyes were squeezed shut from the burning in my throat. Once I had finished my session, the bathroom door swung open. Both Hermione and Ron stepped in.
"Get the damn treatment!" yelled Ron. "That damn bastard isn't worth it!"
"How would you feel if you forgot Hermione?!" I yelled back with teary eyes. Both of them stared at me in shock.
"Y/N..." muttered Hermione as she knelt by my side. Ron stepped past me and into the stall.
"You're already coughing up thorns!" he yelled. "I started doing that on my third week! It's your third day! If you won't get the treatment, then tell him!"
"I can't!" I yelled.
"Why not?! Just confess!" spat Ron.
"Because he's dating my sister!"
"Your life is on the line!"
"I'm more than willing to die for them!" I screamed, tears streaming down my face and dripping onto the tiled floor. "Pansy has always been there for me as long as I could remember..." I muttered, my voice breaking. "I can't... Either way, he chose her. I'm not going to walk in and break apart their relationship." I said.
"You need to try..." breathed out Hermione. I shook my head.
"They are the two most important people in my life. You saw them making out in the classroom... They clearly have feelings for each other. As long as they're happy, I'm fine." I said.
"Why do you care so little about yourself?" questioned Ron in an angry tone. "You care about your sister's love life more than your own actual life! I was desperate to survive this disease- this curse! But you! You don't even care!"
"Because she's the reason why I'm here today!" I exclaimed. "She's the one who always picked me up whenever I felt down! She was always there for me when no one else was!"
"You say she's the reason you're here today, but she's also the reason you might die today!" yelled Ron. His hands were balled into fists at his sides.
"I'm heading back to the dorms. Tell the teacher I threw up or something..." I mumbled, rising to my feet. I fixed my uniform and wiped away the blood on my lips before exiting the restroom, leaving the two behind.
I walked out of the school and made my way towards the dorm building. I entered it and began my trek to my dorm. Once I got in, I locked the door behind me and stumbled towards my desk. I pulled out a sheet of paper and began writing.
If I can't say goodbye, these will act as my last words.

Death's Girlfriend #3
"Y/N? Did you not do your homework?" asked Snape.
I shook my head. A few of my classmates stared at me in shock. I had always done my homework in the past.
"I'm sorry, I forgot it in my locker and by the time I realized, the doors leading into the school were already closed." I lied. In fact, I had the unfinished homework in my backpack.
"Don't repeat this mistake." grumbled Snape. I nodded my head and turned to my left to stare out the window. Everything seemed to go by slowly. And in a way, I felt empty.
The bell rung and I rose from my seat. Instead of heading towards Draco as I usually did, I decided to simply exit the classroom. After all, he'd probably want to spend time with his new girlfriend. He wouldn't have time for his childhood friend any more. I approached the stairwell and made my way up to the Astronomy Tower's highest floor. I knew it was off limits for students, but I couldn't care less. I threw open the door and took a seat on the ledge. I needed some time to think; some time to clear my thoughts. I stared down at my feet which dangled over 15 stories of air.
Would it be less painful if I jumped now?
I quickly shook my head from my thoughts.
How could I possibly think that?!
Sighing, I stared down at the ground below me.
"Don't do it!" yelled a voice behind me. I turned my head to face them with a confused expression.
"Are you talking to me?" I asked, staring at them.
"I don't know what you're going through right now, but it isn't worth it." I sighed and retreated away from the ledge.
"I'm not jumping." I said, looking at them. "Just thinking."
"Oh... um... That's a bit awkward..." they mumbled.
"Yeah, it is." I said with a laugh. "I'm Y/N Clearwater." I introduced.
"Lune Lovegood." she replied. I nodded my head and gave her a smile.
"Thanks for being concerned though." I said, returning to the ledge. "It's nice up here, gives me a chance to think."
"To think about what? If I may ask."
"It's not certain, but I think I only have a week or two left to live." I said, letting the wind blow through my hair.
"Are you sick?" she asked.
"Sick? I guess. I mean the word 'disease' is in the name." I replied, "Perhaps you've heard of it; Hanahaki Disease." I turned my head to stare at her. "According to what I read, I only have 2 to 3 weeks."
"Why don't you just get the treatment?" she quickly asked.
"Treatment? I could, but..." My voice trailed off and I turned my head towards the sky. "I don't want to forget him."
"Why don't you just confess?" she asked.
"He's... dating my sister..." I said. The familiar tightening in my chest came back and I began coughing again. It was my fifth fit today. I
t's happening so fast. It's only the second day.
I placed my hand over my mouth as I coughed. Once I had finished, I did my best to take in deep breaths of air, but it felt like something was blocking it. I stared at the hand I'd just coughed into. My eyes widened and I fell backwards onto the roof in shock.
"A-A full flower." I stuttered. Luna immediately rushed to my side. She helped me sit up properly while I stared at the flower with teary eyes.
"A white rose..." she mumbled. I threw the rose off the roof and wept, "Is it really worth it?" she asked, staring into my eyes.
"I..."
"Is he really worth it?" My shoulder drooped and a stared off to the side.
"Yes..." I mumbled. "We knew each other since childhood. I can't just forget him."
"You should get the surgery." she stated. "If you've know each other for that long and he still doesn't feel the same way, it's no use."
"But I-"
"Not to mention the type of flower. A rose. You said you'd have at least two weeks but, the ones with roses only have a few days left."
"W-what? No! It's not true!"
"It is." she stated firmly. "The thorns will pierce your lungs. You don't have too much time left. Just take the surgery and forget him."
"Why does it matter to you?!" I screamed, tears falling from my face, "We don't even know each other. Why do you care so much?" My voice trailed off and I felt weak.
I rose to my feet and made my way back inside the school. Lunch hadn't come to an end yet, but I still made my way towards 1-A. I was about to step inside, but I saw something I would never forget. I quickly darted back behind the cover of the door and slid to the ground with my hand over my mouth. The tears came down even more violently. To put it simply, I wasn't prepared to find them  kissing in the classroom.
"Y/N?" questioned Hermione. She was walking beside Ron. He wore a worried expression. He peeked his head inside the classroom and saw what I had seen. "Let's get out of here." she mumbled, pulling me up and dragging me down the halls with Ron trailing behind us. They guided me out of the school and back to the dorms. The moment we stepped inside, I had my sixth fit. Both Gryffindors stared at me in shock as I fell to my hands and knees, coughing up petals and the occasional whole flower.
"Y/N..." breathed out Hermione. Her hand was clamped over her mouth.
"That damn bastard..." muttered Ron as he clenched his fists.
"I'm fine guys..." I said, standing up from my fit and giving them a fake smile.
"What do you mean you're fine?!" spat Ron. "Don't even think of not getting a treatment!"
"You know...?" I questioned, my voice shaky.
"Y/N... You're not the only one who went through this," said Hermione, "Ron did as well." My eyes widened as I stared at Ron in shock.
"Was it... Hermione?" I questioned. "You two are always so close I-"
"Yes. Yes it was." stated Ron. "Don't tell anyone." I was surprised to hear him serious for once.
"Cross my heart and hope to die." I said, smiling at them.
"Not a good thing to say..." mumbled Hermione.
"Look, guys. I'll be fine. I have at least a few mon-" I began.
"Don't lie your way out of this. The type of flower will get you killed in a couple days. Just get the damn treatment." stated Ron.
I opened my mouth to speak again, but I began coughing instead. I fell to my knees, clutching my throat as I coughed up more flowers. This time, there was blood. I took in shaky breaths as I stared at the mess I had made.
"Go get some rest..." muttered Hermione. "We'll clean this up and tell Snape you weren't feeling well." I nodded my head and stumbled towards the elevator.
All of this is worth it, right?
