"No son of mine--" Lucius roars, drawing himself up to his full, impressive height. He's red in the face, his thinning hair wispy and unkempt in his anger. "Do you hear me, Draco? No son of mine is going to flounce around dressed like a--" He cuts himself off, like he doesn't know what he wants to say.

And Draco, well. Draco has a moment of perfect, sparkling clarity.

It's as if all of a sudden, Draco's childhood is rearranging itself. All the spoiling, the pampering, the vacations to lavish, lush places, interspersed with hiding under the bed from Lucius' rages, clutching at Narcissa's hand in the kitchen while Lucius shattered crystal in the parlor. Being led, Lucius' hand in a white knuckled grip on Draco's shoulder, to stand in front of the Dark Lord. All the little moments Draco shoved down or ignored in favor of a cruel, empty smile and doing what was best for the family. What Lucius said was best, anyway.

Now, everything is different. Now, Draco knows that Lucius Malfoy is a small, scared man, clinging to the last vestiges of his control with everything he has. And Draco knows that she will do anything, anything to avoid ending up like him.

"That's fine," she says, cutting in before Lucius can take another breath.

"Excuse me?"

"I said 'that's fine'," Draco replies coolly. "You don't have to worry about what a son of yours would do because you don't have a son, and considering the way you treated me when you thought you did, I don't plan to stick around and find out how you could scar a daughter for life."

Lucius splutters, struck dumb by Draco's pronouncement. It feels good, she won't lie.

She turns sharply, heels clacking with finality as she walks across the polished marble floor of the Manor's entry way and heads for the stairs, hopefully, for the last time.

She pulls out her mobile as she goes, sending off two texts with clumsy fingers. Why are the keyboards on these things so bleeding small?

I hope you were serious about letting me move in with you, Potter.

Because I'm certain I can never come back here.

There's a long moment before Potter responds, and Draco starts throwing the few things she wants to keep from this place into her trunk. It's depressing, how little feels worth saving here.

Her phone buzzes, cutting off that train of thought.

Dead serious, Potter replies. I need you to help me with this place.

And then, Proud of you, Malfoy.

So that's that settled, then.

Notes: I am such a sucker for Rom-Coms, Ladderofyears I saw your prompt and just had to snatch it up. I loved recreating this iconic movie with a Drarry Feel. I never knew I needed Draco in Vivian’s clothes but I really do. Re-imagining that Red Dress into a suit was quite a fun challenge. Thank You to my incredible support humans! Pushing myself out of my comfort zone with multiple images had me almost give up several times but your encouragement and feedback helped put me back on track. Yes! Femslash Drarry is fun. Draco is one of the easiest characters to genderswap imo. He's already very himedere. Fem!Draco in a het dynamic has less appeal to me, but it is interesting from the perspective of how relationships and dynamics change when you genderswap only one of the characters.

there’s a smut fic posted on here a few weeks ago whose name I don’t remember and can’t find! Draco is a fuckboy, known for being good in bed (in the first chapter, Ginny has a one night stand with him and it’s implied all the girls have) and ghosts girls. Hermione decides she wants to sleep with him too but plays the game to get him to want more from her. I remember in one scene he takes her on his boat and they hook up there. There’s also a scene where she’s at a party with all their friends, catches his eye and meets him on the rooftop and gives him her number. The fic was maybe around 3 chapters (although I don’t know if it’s been updated since then). What is the name?

I was searching for a dramione fanfic with a Black! Hermione Granger tag on AO3 and I found a interesting, and kind of revolting thing that catch my attention. A lot of fic with most comments and kudos was thats ones where has a lot of threesome, foursome smut scenes, Or Hermione with several sexual partners and with a lot of sexual themes involved. Well, I'm all up to sexual liberation, but looks like some people don't know that we — black women — was always looked through these lens, the lens of a body who only matters when it comes to sex. We never had the opportunity, like the white women that was looked with the lens of submissive, the housewife, the fragile being, to fight for the right to being more independent. People prise us for being so strong, and this kind of shit, put us in the worsted situation cause they think, because of our skin color, we are more sexual and less women than white women. I think that a lot of people was against a black Hermione when the Cursed Child was released, but looks like fanfiction writers are not against a black Hermione if her body is extremely sexualized and this is her only purpose in the fanfiction community HP fandom. Again, I know how much sexualized Emma Watson was as a minor in the movies, and I not against smut fanfictions with a Black Hermione. My appointment is why just fanfics where she is extremely sexualized are so popular if the fandom hate a black Hermione so much. If a black Hermione is not good enough to be more than a black body for you guys sexualize, leave her alone and keep her away of your racist pervert mind of what a black body is.

Sixth Year Flashback

               The miserable weather of October matched the foul mood Draco found himself in, finding it almost impossible to be patient while waiting for the Loyalty Potion he was brewing with Theo to complete. The desperation he felt grew with each day that passed, watching as the Mudblood slowly isolated herself away from him and closer to the two buffoons she called friends. He hated the new sense of closeness that seemed to have grown between the witch and Scar Head. Draco’s only consolation was that he was not the only one who disliked their newfound bond; it appeared the weasel disapproved of it as well.

               Whenever Granger and Potter were deeply engaged in conversation, Draco never failed to notice the glares and dirty looks that the ginger would shoot at the back of his friend’s heads. Initially, he thought the Weasley was jealous he was being excluded from their discussions; yet as Draco observed their group dynamic for the rest of that week, he realised the redhead was purely jealous. Anytime Potter would touch the Mudblood (which was much more often than Draco liked), Weasley’s eyes would narrow, and his face would flush an unfortunate shade of tomato-red while he would stare daggers at his friends. Draco wasn’t sure how the weasel’s looks had continued to go unnoticed with how obvious the git was. . . although he did witness the she-weasel elbow her brother mid-scowl at dinner one night, snapping him out of his gloomy state just in time before the Scar Head turned around to face him.
