I forget what this plant is - some kind of pennywort I got from my partner who got it from the internet - but it's been growing in this jar for 5ish years now, and it seems to be winning in the long run. (there were two of these sprigs for a while, then they dried up, then it grew three. so presumably next year there will be four.)

(1 gallon jar. rip to the dracaena I had to snip off when I moved)

as you can see, it's mostly vallisneria at this point...I used to have some interesting red-leaf plants as well as susswassertang and chara, but the vallisneria took over almost completely, except for the plant above which I guess can poke out above it. (the above plant's main root is the thick green stalk running along the bottom).

Brought some more plants upstairs for my bedroom 💚 I have a grow light to put up but these girls will be fine for now. My Aglaonema has thrived since day one so I knew she'd be perfect for here. It feels really nice to have some more life in my den 🌱

Atualizações das plantas, amoooo

Este neném plumeria era uma ponta de galho que eu cortei escondida no condomínio de rico em fevereiro do ano passado e está florindo pela primeira vez. Cresceu bastante também, mais que os outros jms que eu plantei na época. A forração velha morreu e a nova ainda não prosperou 😅. Vai ganhar um vaso bonito mas ainda não comprei. Eu não errei, teria ficado surreal florida com a forração original. Nem sempre se pode ser Deus.

Essa jardineira teve várias formações erradas até plantar essas moreias este ano. Deu certo e vive florida, mas hoje ela tá chateada porque eu sou relapsa com rega.

As dracenas todas deram certo. Essa foi a que mais podei e a que mais cresceu. Plantei em jun/22 acho.

Dez/22 - hoje. Esse canteiro só tem marantas roubadas. Estão estabelecidas, negligenciadas e indo super bem.

A justicia cresceu pra caramba também. Acho que é de jun/22. Já floriu este ano, mas acho possível que dê mais uma floração no verão. Já plantei mais algumas desde então.

Many years ago an ex of mine gave me a poor twig of a plant he had been neglecting. His ex had given it to him long before that. This plant is a Corn Plant (Dracaena). This week it flowered. I didn't even know they did that. The flowers only open at night and have a strong smell that not everyone loves. I have decided that this strong smell, a smell that most find annoying, must be the smell of exes past.
