He finds out that one of Danny's cousins from his adopted family was also a Gotham vigilante before dying??????

He finds out about a young couple who rode a motorcycle powered by the soul of a demon whose lives were taken too soon in a shoot out.

He finds out about a technical genius who tried to make his life saving tech affordable for all before someone took a hit out on him.

My (not QUITE spoilery, but slightly) pieces for the first @dpxdcbigbang fic I drew for, @holdm2's Bottom of the Boxcar (+ FFN link), which has just started posting! 💚

I did the three-panel illustration first because I thought it was just such a good and painful scene and such a good part of the fic, but that Johnny and Jason bit would NOT leave me alone and honestly wound up my favorite part overall, so when we got a little extra time on our deadline I took FULL advantage of it to draw that too, haha.

Bonus concept sketches in various stages of "concept"-ing behind the cut, including sketches of a couple of scenes I didn't end up drawing.

So.

I hear a lot of people say Johnny 13 and Kitty died in a motercycle accident.

What if they hit a guy and that caused the crash? And that guy also died. Johnny's shadow friend is that guy. Cuz he's under the bike.

Idk. Just an idea. I dont know all the ghost lore i just thought it was cool.

Kaybe he's only friendly cuz he recognises it was an accident, or they've spent so much time together they just bonded. Idk.

It may just be my desperate need for a stable parental figure but why isn't Johnny 13 regarded as more of a father figure for Danny and more fanfiction?

Like he wouldn't be the best dad but he wouldn't be absolutely fucking terrible. Like the best way I can describe it is Pedro Pascal's Joel from The Last of Us. Like I've never watched the show but based on what I've seen from tiktok that's the vibe Johnny 13 gives off and Kitty would give off the doting sweet mom figure he should have had

I can totally see Johnny and Kitty being super worried about Danny when he moves to Gotham to the point where they decide to move to Gotham themselves and haunt a little abandoned Apartment near the docks of Blüdhaven or Crime Ally

i think kitty, ember, and johnny are all close. and then skulker tagged along with them for a while because he was ember's boyfriend.

but neither kitty nor johnny are close with him because skulker is from a much earlier era (i hc skulker as having been a paleolithic hunter-gatherer), is out of touch with a lot of modern culture, and shares barely any interests with the rest of the squad.

johnny tried bonding with him over mechanical stuff once, but johnny likes cool cars and motorcycles and wasn't prepared for skulker's nonstop gun talk.

Johnny and Kitty going on a date in Gotham at the Iceberg lounge and Kitty sings Bust you kneecaps as a serenade to Johnny.

Turns out Johnny and Kitty were from Gotham back in the 70’s and where basically the Romeo and Juliette of Gotham where they were from separate mob families, or Johnny was just a biker who felling love with the mob bosses daughter. And her dad didn’t like that so they hired a hit on him only for Kitty to warn him. They made plans to run away only for then to get in a motorcycle accident.

Jason is just confused as to why there are two glowing meta’s in his bar and when he runs their faces for identification it only gives him people who died decades ago.

18. Grave & 19. No Backspace/Ctrl+Z (or in this case "no erasing challenge")

This was one of the challenges that sounded pretty fun. I decided to simply do it traditionally and use things that I couldn't erase even if I wanted to.

I started by doing a sketch with green watercolor pencil. The plan was for it to blend with regular watercolors later on.

Then I did lines with black micron pen (which doesn't smudge regardless of how much I add water).
