You can correct me if im wrong on this. But in my art history class, my teacher also said that Theo received a lot of Vincent's paintings over the years because Vincent insisted he was buying paintings. He saw Theo as his greatest customer, and Theo hung his paintings in his house.
theo van gogh was the one who suggested that his older brother vincent start seriously painting. as soon as theo was gainfully employed he gave vincent around 15% of his own yearly salary for art supplies, lodging, and food. about 2/3rds of vincent's surviving letters were to theo (including vincent's earliest and last letters), all of which were found stored in theo's desk. theo's child, vincent willem, was born on january 31st, 1890, and vincent was so delighted by his nephew that he painted almond blossoms for him. vincent shot himself half a year later on july 29th, 1890. theo's distress at his brother's death worsened his syphilis symptoms and he died half a year after his brother on january 25th, 1891 (four days before vincent willem's first birthday). theo was reburied next to vincent in auvers-sur-oise at the request of theo's wife johanna.

Just a fun tdp idea.
We all agree the startouch council (forgot their name) suck. They killed an autistic child for making a mistake with good intentions, and instead of punishing the parent for the child's mistake, despite him OFFERING to take her place, they decided one or both of them died.
Now I need you to imagine. Callum, somehow, learns about Leola and her story. He feels bad but sticks to the mentality that, despite understanding his anger, he still can't let Aaravos carry out his plans.
But anyways, the council contacts Callum, believing he will work with them and help. But instead, Callum lets them have it. He calls them cowards, idiots, and places all the blame on them for their poor choices. Aaravos wouldn't be a problem if they just had common sense and spared Leola. Callum tells them he won't defeat Aaravos for them, but he's defeating Aaravos for peace, for the people of Xadia. He doesn't need the council's help. He doesn't want their help.
Just let the council get called out for their behavior. I LOVE when characters who are treated as all powerful get called out on their bullshit by normal characters, but no matter how much they want to retaliate, they can't because that person is so important. They're the only person who can help them.

My younger sibling and I decided to play half life together. Watched a few in-depth lore videos and theory videos, and I gotta say, Aperture is somehow so much safer and more well maintained than Black Mesa is. Sure, Aperture lacked ethics and morality, but they were high quality and probably had a huge focus on quality control. Meanwhile, Black Mesa was more ethical and moral, but they lacked quality, and the opening to half-life alone showed multiple huge safety hazards and broken equipment.
Both companies took risks, but Aperture tested the risk a million times before even trying it in an actually applicable setting. Resulting in multiple injuries or casualties, but higher quality product. While Black Mesa pointedly ignored the risks, and instead of testing in smaller environments, they instantly went for the big risky projects, fewer casualties, and injuries in the short term. But at the end of the day, Black Mesa is the reason the Combine came to earth, while Aperture continues to function and thrive independent of any humans.

I remember when hlvrai was initially super populer, people would put Feetman into the freemanverse. A lot of people combined him with the rest of the science team, just having him random switch to each member depending on the situation.
Which i would like to point out that, in that situation, Feetman is fucking op. Also, I just want people to see him do the Black Mesa sweet voice. It would be funny.
All in all. I have a favorite, and now I want him to be op and suffer.

Everyone in the TDP fandom talking about Callum being a stay at home dad.
But tbh, I can't see it. Personally, I love the idea that Callum and Rayla start traveling the world. Writing down all their discoveries, learning magic, and just living their lives. Callum doesn't strike me as someone content with sitting in one place. Besides, he knows Aaravos will return in seven years, and I read him as the type to get anxious with a lack of action. So he travels with Rayla to take his mind off of it and, hopefully, find a way to seal him away permanently.
If they had a baby during their travels, I could see Callum using his scarf to tie the child to his chest to carry them better. I can honestly see him being on hell of a girl dad. He is almost always carrying the baby while traveling, Rayla needs to be able to fight. She is also probably a lot more of a provider, so he cares for the baby while she fights and forages. Doesn't mean he won't help in fights, tho, he has the baby strapped to his chest, so he can cast spells with no problem. At night, they sleep with their baby in a cozy basket nestled between them. Their arms slung over the sides so no one touches their baby. If they ever have a baby, that will be the most well defended child in the world.

My dad introducing "Batman: The Cult" to me: this will fuck you up!
Me: ah yes! Probably a horror comic or probably really gorey!
Me reading it: ok, I gotta be honest, I've already seen worse on Wattpad and Ao3.
-----------------------------
My dad laughed when I told him I've seen worse. It's still a good comic, tho. Deacon Blackfire might actually be one of my favorite villains. I just like how simple he is compared to other villains. Sure, he's immortal, but other than that, it's all "basic" cult tactics. It has logic to it.

Thank you for informing me! Genuinly didn't know.
So my younger sibling and I came to an agreement to watch two shows we liked together.
White Pine was their show. At first, I was skeptical. Little me loved minecraft rp, but I was worried I wouldn't like it and my younger sibling would be disappointed.
I didn't like it. I fucking loved it. To say episode 7 left me flabbergasted, would an understatement. I went from a completely relaxed sitting position to on all fours, jaw DROPPED.
Not only are the builds and visuals FANTASTIC, but the acting is phenomenal, and the story is fascinating.
I absolutely recommend White Pine to anyone who enjoys period pieces and murder mysteries. It's amazing. It's by IvoryCello, and as far as I'm aware, all the music is made by her too, and it's amazing.

Dp x dc prompt cuz my head is empty, and the dp x dc tag knocks around like a screen saver.
So, I've seen a few prompts about the JL misunderstanding Amity Park's situation and inviting Red Huntress to join, or just thinking he's the villain in general.
Now, I can kinda see that happening for most of the JL. It's shown they can be pretty black and white about things. They're not dumb. They just tend to get ahead of themselves or be a little too sure of themselves.
But not Batman. He's learned to always be suspicious. Always think there's another layer to the mystery. So when this villain is presented to them, The Phantom, he's immedietly skeptical.
The worst they have on him is some burglary and one instance of kidnapping. The burglary was clearly mind control, different outfits, different eyes, and completely different behavior from what was Phantom's standard. The kidnapping was just that, kidnapping. It wasn't even long or serious. No ransom, the victim was unharmed and safely returned. The property damage they often point too aswell is usually minimal compared to what Superman or Batman have caused. Property damage is a necessary risk in the hero buisness.
Then there was the hero Red Huntress. There is no doubt she is a hero. She saves and deffends the innocent. That being said, there are instances of her getting between Phantom and other ghosts, only to result in the collateral damage being higher. Even more so, to call the Red Huntress the main hero of Amity Park's would be a lie. Phantom was fighting for and deffending the town for almost half a year before she showed up.
The most damning evidence to Batman was when the JL showed up, claiming to help fix the town's ghost problem, and in a Freudian slip from Wonder Women, "remove the threat that is the Phantom." What they hadn't realised at the time was that Phantom was watching. Batman saw him standing atop a nearby clock tower. He saw that familier look in the ghost's eyes, a look he has seen from his own children time and time again. Absolute heartbreak. A loss of all trust and hope. The Phantom was hurt and scared.
After that, The Phantom disappeared. At first the disappearance was considered a cause for celebration. The JL was congratulated on scaring the menace away. But the first ghost attack without him happened. This ghost wasn't one seen before. It was vicious, pulled no punches, and it found joy in the pain it caused. Huntress managed to defeat it, but not without a few crumbling buildings and injured civilians. Red Huntress asked it why, what did it gain? It just laughed and said, "The Phantom is gone! No one to fear anymore, no one to stop us from getting what we want!"
It was all downhill from there. Increasingly aggresive and powerful ghosts would appear. Causing more and more damage. Boasting and thanking the heroes for "pushing Phantom out of the way" now they knew their mistake. Phantom wasn't the menace terrorizing the innocent. He was the hero keeping the evil at bay. Now without him, all hell will break lose.
The one thing Batman can't figure out is that while this black-haired teenager, with tired eyes, in an oversized NASA hoodie and torn jeans, watches the fights with a look of absolute malace and sorrow.
-----------------------------
This isn't meant to villanise the JL. I've just noticed an interesting pattern of them having one idea and sticking to it, Batman usually being the one to tell them otherwise. I can imagine Batman tried to warn them. Superman listened and agreed that they needed to look into it more, but Wonder Women already had a speech planned and accidentally slipped up. But the chearing was so loud and instant they didn't have time to backtrack.
Meanwhile, Danny is going through it. He just kinda decided, "Yeah, I'll let them try for... mmmmm... a month. Then We'll see." The sorrow is cuz he's realising how much he actually mattered, and despite that, no one else could ever see it. Just because he lets them fight doesn't mean he is entirely retired, tho. He saves people from rubble and stray blasts, but they're all a bit too distracted by the murderous ghosts to really notice.
Everything else is up to you.
But I leave you with this, based on a personal experience with my dad. Batman finding out Phantom is Danny, looking at him so sincerely, and saying, "You have no idea how much you help. You make it all so much better." And just wrapping Danny in his cloak as he cries and sobs.
