The milk mustache is strong in this one! I think even #tomselleck would be impressed! Sadly Arnold’s owners weren’t impressed and at age 9 he was dumped at @downeyanimalcarecenter . he is currently their longest resident and today is his last day. Arnold needs a rescue or someone to adopt him. DEADLINE DOG! We have until 4PM today 6/12 to save this dog's life! SINATRA 21-10424 "We are asking for your help in pulling a male Doberman, impound number 21-10424. He has medical issues and needs to be pulled by 5:00 today." The medical notes from our veterinarian are as follows: 3-4 years old, intact, very concerning arrhythmia noted on examination today, potentially atrial fibrillation secondary to dilated cardiomyopathy, would need cardiac evaluation with EKG and cardiac ultrasound to confirm, needs to be evaluated by a cardiologist ASAP. He has some hair loss and skin irritation around his neck likely secondary to a previous collar. He has some hair loss and scaling around his ears. Wood's Lamp and Skin Scrape tests are negative. He has a small red raised conjunctival lesion on his right eye and mild clear nasal discharge. Staff has been able to handle him without any issues. SEAACA - Downey, CA 563-803-3301

📍📍📍 Downey, CA 📍📍📍 🆘 POPPY #A5423693 🆘 URGENT!! 72 HOURS NOTICE 4yr spayed Tan Poodle/yorki mix 6 lbs. Poppy will be made available for Rescue Only with an Indemnity Waiver due to her discomfort with being handled and possibility of biting. Poppy was laying in the bed when the handler arrived. She displayed a timid-like demeanor as her body appeared slightly tensed, a lowered tail, ears back, mouth closed, and eyes whale-eyed. Her entire body began trembling as the handler began approaching inside the kennel. Poppy became avoidant, scurrying away from her approach. She tolerated the leash being placed around her, but began flailing on the leash once pressure was applied for her to walk. She continued to flail and screech loudly out of discomfort. As the handler reached to pick her up, Poppy quickly snap towards her hand. It was required for the handler to use caution and swiftly pick Poppy up while she continued to thrash, yelp, and air-snap. She eventually tolerated being carried towards the play yard, remaining on the handlers lap once she sat on a bench. Poppy appeared discomforted having her body touched, but tolerated for her back to be rubbed. Once approaching towards her face, quickly snapped towards the handlers hand and give low growls while side-eyeing and flashing her teeth. The handler was unable to pet any parts of Poppy's body as she continued to attempt to air-snap. When attempting to carry Poppy back to her kennel, she became discomforted and began flailing. Poppy was unable to settle and required a swift and careful handling as she continued to snap. What did they do to you? 💔 Bella is a 12 year old, 15lb Shih Tzu. She has just been released from a humane case (which I take to be a neglect or abuse case). The shelter says "she has come from a horrible condition". And now the shelter says she needs to exit within 48 hours or they will euthanize her. I just called the shelter and they said she is there and no one has expressed interest.
