HELP My family left me and they did not even say goodbye ! Who am I well I was a family dog till I learned to play to rough with the small kids, no one told me that I was doing anything wrong then Friday I was put into the car  they took me to this place with a lot of dogs it was hot ! It is an outside shelter in South Texas. Why would my family leave me I thought maybe this was an outing or time to play with the other dogs! My peeps got out of our car grabbed my leash and walked towards this nice fellow he had them fill out paperwork and I heard them say I have a bad attitude with the kids! I love the kids what are they saying I love everyone …. Once the paperwork was completed ! The nice fellow walked me to this room as I turned back I saw my peeps walking back holding my leash in their had they did not look back they drive off they left me ! I heard the nice fellow say, “we need to contact rescues he needs out the family does not want him anymore” ! What did I do? I loved them why don’t they love me anymore? What will my life become? Today I was loaded up into a kennel and put on the a big van  they said you have been rescued BUDDY! You are heading to Dallas to an amazing rescue called Dallas DogRRR. Some guy called me Mulligan what is a Mulligan I wondered and someone said that is your new name! Well they said it was a long drive but they said they after hopeful there will be a foster that steps up to save me !!! Rookie was failed by his owners, he is just a 9 month old puppy, he knows no life outside being tethered. The city held this family to the law of NO tethering they even offered solutions but it was a no go and after so many citations they surrender him to the shelter. He was at the shelter for two weeks, he quickly became a favorite was neutered and 3 days later was not able to breath he was in double pneumonia the occurred quickly the sheltered rushed him to the ER where the estimate was going to be to high and they called out rescue for help this was his only option or he would likely of been euthanized. This was Saturday it is Thursday and he is fighting and improving but his bull is rising with him not being able to be removed oxygen. Sadly, this bill  keeps climbing and he is slowly being weaned out of oxygen and hoping to move to foster which DDRR still do NOT have - you can sign up here if you can help! DEADLINE DOG! We have until 4PM today 6/12 to save this dog's life! SINATRA 21-10424 "We are asking for your help in pulling a male Doberman, impound number 21-10424. He has medical issues and needs to be pulled by 5:00 today." The medical notes from our veterinarian are as follows: 3-4 years old, intact, very concerning arrhythmia noted on examination today, potentially atrial fibrillation secondary to dilated cardiomyopathy, would need cardiac evaluation with EKG and cardiac ultrasound to confirm, needs to be evaluated by a cardiologist ASAP. He has some hair loss and skin irritation around his neck likely secondary to a previous collar. He has some hair loss and scaling around his ears. Wood's Lamp and Skin Scrape tests are negative. He has a small red raised conjunctival lesion on his right eye and mild clear nasal discharge. Staff has been able to handle him without any issues. SEAACA - Downey, CA 563-803-3301

He’s been at the shelter since 9/30/20, when he was surrendered due to his owner’s work schedule..His previous owner, who had him since he was a puppy, reported that Blade loves running, knows his commands, and gets along well with small dogs..(Blade has not had any meets with small dogs while at the shelter to confirm.) They also shared that Blade can be nervous around men..Blade does well when he has a chance to get out into the yard, where he can explore and do some nose work!.He has also participated in playgroups with other large dogs at the shelter prior to being neutered (“stiff on intros, responsive to tools. tries to assert with some dogs”)..Due to the fact that Blade has been at the shelter for 8 + months, it’s important he goes to an adopter or Rescue who will be sure to give him the decompression he needs.
