It will never cease to amaze me how many people simp for the wet cat known as Kimihiro Watanuki.

I am being so well behaved and not saying anything about Haruka's comment in that last panel.

But that aside you can see the full Watanuki effect here where he has been talking about Doumeki for who knows how long in between chapters, but it’s easier for him to pretend that he’s complaining, so he frames it all like he’s being hard done by - especially if he can divert away any compliments in the process. When in reality he is talking to Haruka at length about just how close he is with his grandson and WE ALL KNOW IT WATANUKI WE SEE RIGHT THROUGH YOU. 

Especially when, like, even if someone is a good cook it’s still not unlikely that they will eventually cook something that you don’t like the taste of, or prepare something in a way you don’t like so much - but not so here. Doumeki will eat anything Watanuki makes and he will eat all of it. 

It seems like Haruka might be on the verge of saying this as well but the fact that Doumeki will eat all of anything Watanuki makes is such a high compliment towards both his cooking ability, Doumeki’s trust in him, and the bond they have.

OOH yeah here we go, even more interesting than I expected! It’s not that Doumeki only likes certain foods, it’s that he requires trust and understanding of where it came from to eat it at all.

Happiness comes in different forms and different ways" and Freya asks Elda "What is Happiness?" and Kohaku explains how Kohaku wants to stay by Shuuichirou's side even if Shuuichirou decided not to love Kohaku "because I'm sure that Shuuichirou will become my {Special Person} Again" but then Kohaku says "If that person's happiness is not to live with you, though it's sad and hard, but, thats certainly better than that person not being happy" and then explains how those feelings are contained "right {here}" in the heart and then then Shuuichirou 5th(??) says "I'm sure an angel's wish {for Happiness} would be granted" and then Chii says Chii's 'happiness' is with Hideki, even if Hideki cannot ever have penetrative sex with Chii, and then Tomoyo says "The greatest happiness for me is to let the person I most like have the most happiness" about Sakura, who is realizing Sakura's own love for Xiaolang, and then Hideki also said "I don't love Chii because 'I wanted' to 'make love' to {Chii}. Also I really like that Himawari has a bag with a sunflower on it! Commitment to the naming theme!

Yuuko’s incredibly patient smile when Watanuki recounts what Haruka said about Doumeki only eating things he trusts.
