Im in love with how the hearts are represented by nether stars,, its just one really cool to think of, instead of it being some modded in thing.

Like do you think the lifesteal members ever look at the night sky and think its alive? The night sky so full of lives, shining and shimmering just out of reach. Do they stare at the nightsky with greed, those with less hearts, do they stare with envy?

Do they ever kill the wither and think how remarkably similar they are to hearts? Holding the nether star close, like it might give them a life back. Do they identify witht he wither, they also drop those same stars when they die after all?

And then, how does it feel to hold a star/life. Does it burn like a real star? Is it freezing cold? Does it thump in rhythms or pulse with light? We are all made of star dust after all, the lifesteal members are just more star than most.

there’s a million things i could say about dream but when i have to condense it, really i just find it so admirable that dream was able to change and grow with grace under public scrutiny and after all he’s been through he still finds it in himself to be kind — not because he feels like its what he should do but rather he WANTS to be kind. he WANTS to be a better person. he WANTS to embrace sympathy and open mindedness and forgiveness and for that i feel like he’s one of the few in the world who despite carrying so much weight on their shoulders, they feel light because for every stone thrown at them they return it with love

one moment that stuck out to me from the new chapter (which i loved btw, fabulous, made me grin ear to ear) was dorry referring to the drums of liberation as 宴のリズム/utage no rizumu - "a banquet rhythm." 宴/utage is a word that means 'banquet/feast/party', and it's one that luffy really likes to use, particularly when announcing a celebration at the end of an arc.

in particular, it reminded me of the skypiea party scene:

which is also soundtracked by the ドンドットット/dondottotto beat of the drums of liberation.

the sun pirates symbol is visible for one frame during dorry and broggy's hakoku attack in the new episode... the anime keeps adding implications connecting nika to the sun pirates (this, jinbe recognizing gear 5 as the warrior of liberation in episode 1100) and its going to make me insane. tell me more please
