I will say that I was a bit disappointed in some of the chacter designs in Sumeru since it felt lacking in the middle eastern and southeast Asia culture and fashion. Dori is one of them. She doesn't look like a merchant but more of a bellydancer and I was shocked to learn she is actually 16 years old. She doesn't look like it to be honest.

I knew right away she was one of the many characters I would redesign in the game. I made her tan skin to catch the middle eastern look as well as changing her clothes for a more middle eastern merchant vibe. I did keep her turban hat with some changes, including by repositioning the vision on the center where a gem would be. It's just wierd to have it dangling at the side and I like to make things creative.

I kept her pants and the sash, but got rid of the overalls as it didn't feel Middle Eastern to me, much. Her hair I wanna say is no different from the original except that I did put golden air clips to get a genie bottle shape for it. Her shoes are the same. I just took off the straps as that doesn't look good to me. Also removed the glasses. They're cute, but i feel they don't fit Dori's personality, to be honest.

I'm very happy with this drawing and hope to draw this more often like redesigning the chibis and stuff like that. Any suggestions for what character you would like to see get a redesign?
