Fey Ferin wants R.A.F.T to seize control over the world, and there's nothing that can stand in her way, not even her own family.

There might have been a time when Jayson Ferin was a good man. Based on what May says about him and glimpses we get from Jay's early memories (I recall one with the pin), it appears he once was. Perhaps Jayson desired change for the navy too, but that would be such a pain for Fey to deal with. So, she seems to have brainwashed him for months, possibly years by now (ep 79, Gilly detects corruption in him mixed with good energy), molding him into the perfect soldier who doesn't question orders and neglects his family for the sake of helping his mother to carry out this great fucking world domination plan.

Fey likely harbors resentment towards Drey for not being obedient like his brother, opting for a pirate's life over being loyal to his family and their ideals. Yet, Fey can't bring herself to kill him, so she puts him in a top security prison to let him rot instead.

Ava was the ideal soldier—strong, brave, and revered by all. However, for Fey, Ava's kindness, compassion, and desire for change is simply another pain to deal with. But of course, she would not kill her own family. And she couldn't let her just vanish either.

Perhaps Fey suspected that Ava had a soft spot for pirates, given her upbringing in Eagle's Den and being raised by such a softhearted daughter-in-law. But perhaps, on one occasion, someone witnessed Ava together with a pirate, and somehow that information reached Fey. And after learning that her granddaughter, her esteemed captain, had feelings for a pirate from the crew of the last remaining pirate lord she aimed to get rid of, Fey simply couldn't let this opportunity slip by.

Maybe Ava cooperated willingly, fought like hell, or simply was faced with a deal she couldn't refuse. R.A.F.T. wouldn't just eliminate their top captain, such a vital asset for the upcoming war. Instead, they created a doppelgänger, and chucked the real Ava into some top-notch secret confinement. Letting the dopple to become their pawn. A perfect martyred hero to be killed by those bad bad pirates. A perfect excuse to wage a war over.

But the doppelgängers aren't perfect. So when Lizzie tells Ava about a pirate who is like a father to her, Ava doesn't remember. And when Lizzie begs her not to fight, Ava doesn't listen because she doesn't remember the numerous times they sneaked out together to simply talk like normal people do. And when there's an order to shoot, Ava doesn't move away, as she remembers she was only created to destroy and to be destroyed.

Would Jayson know? Probably not. His hatered toward the pirates responsible for his daughter's death would likely fuel his brainwashed self even more. Very convenient for the long run.

Fey might permit her youngest granddaughter to infiltrate the pirates, banking on her own hatered over her sister's death to maybe one day make her an even better soldier than Ava ever was.

But maybe Fey was wrong.

And she knows it when she receives news of her son's escape from prison, and when her other son suddenly takes leave, or perhaps when a navy base on the Black Sea is breached.

So, when her promising soldier begins to rebel, it might be time to reveal the secret that she's been keping. Maybe it will help her granddaughter decide which side to choose in the end.

Now that Magia Record is shutdown what do we as the Puella Magia fandom know about the upcoming game Madoka Magica Magia Exedra?

I know it has Ihora and her sister Ui present in the game so there definitely Magia Record content on there. Will there be dopples? Will the Magia record story be on the game as well?

Hopefully they don’t use the anime version of Magia record for the game.

Well in simple terms:

There is a new character called Name that has no memories. (I'm guessing here that a) she's a magical girl and b) she'll be your player avatar)

The game is set in a Lighthouse and the player views memories of other magical girls (which kinda opens opportunities for any spin-off, timeline, etc.)

There is a green Kyubey called A-Q (role unknown)

There are 'portraits' that seem to be similar to magireco's memoria

The current playable characters(? those we've seen, so Im assuming they're playable) are Madoka, Homura (cool only), Mami, Sayaka, Kyoko, Iroha, Yachiyo, Kazumi, Oriko, Suzune and Tart.

The labyrinths we've seen are Gertrud's, Elly's, Albertine's, Zenobia's, Suleika's (could just be Ulla's), Charlotte's, Walpurgisnacht's and 10^43 (as before, could just be the Echo's). The only witches we've seen properly is Charlotte's second form and Walpurgisnacht. Box Wood's labyrinth is seen in Iroha's art.

I honestly doubt there will be doppels sadly but we'll see... I think they'll at least do a little of the magireco story though

Ok so… remember that one ask me anything post from @another-night27 where a doppelganger flirted with Berry like their life depended on it?

Well it actually gave me an idea to write a fic about that! i have already started writing it (but it’s just the start just to flesh out the plot/story)

I haven’t really decided on wether to do a short fic of the three versions in the post (the good/bad/average endings aka the ok/eaten/somehow succesfull? Ending)

or do the bad ending first and make that a one-shot, and then for the second part is merge the other two and make it kind of like a doppleganger Doorman/random lucky doppelganger fic series. (Or just skip the bad ending and just do the ship fic ) (this is also the more likely plot/fic i’ll be doing)

Another-night27 seemed ok with me making a fic about their idea/post (in the comment section of that post!)

I also commented that i might do it in the same universe as ur fic but obviously with my own headcanons,backgrounds and story/plot for the neighbors etc.

but now i’m actually not sure about making it in the same universe. I might do it on my own universe (same concept though, dopple doorman but different person)

Honestly, do whatever you want with it. It is your fic, so you can do it in the same or different universe. Seeing as I myself made the series because I was bored, tired, and really wanted to see a doppel!doorman AU, I just wrote it, so it would be a good read either way!

I’d recommend doing whatever you want to write first, and you can make a short series of the fic. One for each ending

You can, of course, change whatever you want, such as adding your own headcanons, backstories, etc etc. Since I also recommend doing a series with each ending, I also recommend you focus on one before working on the others since burnout does happen, plus it’s easier to keep track of things

Again, you can make it your own universe if you want! I don’t really mind honestly. It could be a canon diverse universe from my own series, but it’s completely up to you if you want to do it

If you do decide to post it, I recommend (again) to do both, since some people don’t use AO3 and vise versa. For me (personally) I post it on AO3 and link it on tumblr, mostly because I prefer doing it like that, so again, up to you on it

But I give full permission if you were to do it in the same universe/use some of my headcanons too 🫡

Ok ok so my personal Francis 2 (Scarlet Milkman) and Francis 1 headcanons (they are canon to me because. I kin them.)

Francis 2

Incredibly cat-like. He can purr and he kneads with his hands and he likes laying in sunbeams

This is more of a general doppleganger headcanon but he is a bacteria animating a human corpse, so if he doesn't get a steady stream of food he'll have a very short lifespan

He tried to join The Colony (a group of more sentient dopples) but they kicked him out because they had enough people. He ended up going to the apartment because he was desperate for shelter. Francis 1 ended up letting him in and now he lives there!

His favorite foods are grapes, flapjacks with syrup, and pot pie (in that order)

He acts childish but he is a full grown man. He is just so happy to be alive and have the opportunity to exist. Sweetest guy around.

We can arrange the doppel hunting the pigeons. :D The best way for you to do that is to just watch the Doppel a bit, without following it; especially if your guy is a birdwatcher and has binoculars. It would try to hide away for a nice snack. :D and you'd see how it hunts as a bird which is fun.

NOW for animal doppels, I want to go back to the beginning of my thought process, but I think they are actually the majority.

The first thing I thought about how there is absolutely no way the doppels only eat humans, because that is hard prey to get. Even if someone absolutely botches the playthrough, they would still throw out, like, fifty percent of the doppels. If someone who has played too much is the doorman, then it drops down to one per day, out of about six to nine doppels. We also hear the doppels mentioning that they are studying to get into the apartments, which takes time, during which they are not eating.

Similarly, the doppels also don't clean out every building they get into, because then, all the humans would be completely gone after, like, a few days.

So, the doppels get into apartments after a long time, really rarely, and they don't clear out the entire apartment; most likely, they only kill the doormen.

Now. That would mean food for them comes from somewhere else, which opens a host of possibilities, but that begs the question: why do they eat humans at all when one meal has like, fifty percent mortality rate for the hunter at best?

There's two things that I decided to headcanon to offset that.

First, there is a decent chance of the doppel escaping from the DDD; thanks to their shapeshifting, they would be hardy, because they can re-shapeshift whatever organ gets injured. Second, the human meat is both very tasty, and brings prestige with it. The doppel that ate a human spent months to get ready, pulled off a perfect disguise, killed the most dangerous prey - that's the mother of all bragging rights there!

Most shapeshifters never taste human meat, because it's too risky. The DDD needs its resources to deal with actual threats to humans, so the weird animals are just THERE, you are better off grabbing a broom and dealing with them yourself. Maybe only the human form is called doppelganger, even, and they call the animals something else.

Also, I decided that the doppels need calories/biomass to shapeshift, especially into larger forms. This is what the DDD leverages, mostly; they beat the doppel bad enough for it to not be able to take human form for a long time. Humans are relatively big.

Most mature doppels are deer, since deer are weird as hell already, but there are a lot of stray cats, dogs, and things like possums and raccoons. The common garbage nuisances have a chance to be doppels.
