The Meeting - Bobby and Vanilla!

I see you add Tails into a lot of your Dopple art, care to explain a bit more about their relationship?

Doppel / Dopple after he had taken over Sonic’s body, using it as his vessel. He wanted to ‘befriend’ his friends and pretend to be sonic so he could sadistically relish in their suffering and see the trust drain from their eyes and realisation that it wasn’t sonic. He gave himself a month or so to do this, But, Something he didn’t account for is that he had feelings other than chaotic energy.

Through the month, the way tails treated him and just the general care and brotherly love he felt through the month, he couldn’t actually bring himself to start his initial plan. Yet had a fierce want to protect him, to keep him from any harm or threat, So as a product of that he continues to pretend to be Sonic far longer than planned and also, Kills Eggman.

Eggman was a threat, while he is usually seen as a thing that can be fairly easily defeated and defended against but Dopple/Doppel saw he could learn over time, find a way to defeat them, overpower them. Kill his friends one by one to weaken him and the others. He didn’t want that, So the easy solution simply was to crack a few eggs. Dopple/Doppel sentience wise is, infant like, He still has a lot to learn, he is still unaware of his feelings or morals around him so far, and power wise? Can get much. Much stronger

Tails, so far is just rubbing off the small unnerving changes, the strange things he does, he otherwise acts like sonic, But there will be a point where Tails just can’t rub this off anymore and he will take a stance about what Dopple is and what dopple is doing

Would you be willing to share more dopple lore and origins?

Dopple / Doppel is a being created from a surge of pure chaos energy, thus allowing them abilities and power and capability of chaos control due to this.

Their abilities are mostly formed around shapeshifting and capability of warping things they touch, like sonic’s possessed body. Due to the warping they are hard to damage, since they simply repair all made to them. Some other factors are electronics going haywire when he touches them or actively attempts to disrupt things around themselves.

When in proximity to a chaos emerald they become more unstable and the emerald reacts to them through glowing or moving due to their origins, They of course are no where near as powerful as a chaos emerald actually is and if they do not give themselves rest between use they may fade out entirely. Doppel is unaware of their origins or what they are

Written them this way as an explanation to their abilities and not just be another unexplained being or godlike entity but still quite the threat, they at first intended to do as most other EXE, do something with sonic or take his form and kill his friends, initially they wanted to see the betray in his friends eyes but found himself rather attached
