Prolly gonna be my one and only rwde post (cus the fanbase is rancid and I'm not rlly a rwby fan, just a person who watches the show): some of you rwby fans are too comfortable using your queerness as a shield to silence BIPOC voices about the racist writing and your 'precious' bigoted CRWBY. You guys unironically act/think that just because you have to deal with queerphobia; you are IMMUNE to being bigoted yourself and you are INCAPABLE of parroting bigoted beliefs. Cus I know there will be a dumbass ant1-rwde posters who will try to drown out this post by saying its 'lies from the EVIL RWDE!!!': You would rather weaponize your queerness to bash on BIPOC voices, while claiming to care about our voices. You would rather be complicit with the racist writers and their racist writing, just because your racist writers gave you a queer ship. There is no shame nor issue in projecting the abused you suffered onto the characters, however you refuse to see through the characters and their writing through a BIPOC lens. You do not get the right to impose your perspective of the characters at the expense of BIPOC voices, you do not get to twist our voices to be alt-right bigots because we called out RWBY's rampant racism. You do not get the right to say you give a shit about BIPOC and have #BLM in your bio when you fervently defend your bigoted company. You do not get to pretend to care about racism when you buy merch off of your bigoted company. My fellow BIPOC (especially the queer BIPOC): why are you guys so comfortable dismissing your fellow poc about their discomfort with RWBY's racist writing? BIPOC are not a monolith with the same opinions about racism in media; but some of you guys are weirdly comfortable with turning a blind eye to your fellow BIPOC getting dogpiled by the white fandom. We can and will disagree, you not agreeing as a BIPOC about RWBY's racist writing is not what I take issue with. The issue lies within you upholding the racial colourblindness in the fandom; like how the fandom was ok with throwing the racism under the bus in favour of queerness, you are ok with throwing your BIPOC peers under the bus for white queerness. Sincerely, a POC who has been watching the fandoms rampant racism problem ever since 2019.
#rwde#bitches be like: 'yeah we know that rwby handled racism bad :)))'#then get fucking furious when you say 'adam taurus being retconned from a minority rights fighter to an abusive ex was kinda bad'#go watch unicornofwar's white fang video and think about it holy shit. listen to the white guy if u dont wanna listen to poc#white fans get furious when you say that rwby has a racism problem TO THIS DAY#you dare mention how the 'villains' are all poc with visible ethnic traits/darker skin tones#while our heroes are white as fucking paper with zero ethnic traits#they would scream to the heavens that ruby and yang are chinese#despite being very much modelled off of white women/afabs#while also be giddy about whitewashing james to fit their evil facist dictator narrative#despite james being modelled off of an ACTUAL asian man unlike ruby and yang#and is one of the few characters who have visible ethnic features unlike ruby and yang#fandom racism goes unchecked over here and i have never felt so unsafe in a fandom#at the end of the day: ig white ppl will always prioritize themselves at the expense of bipoc#'omg we're ur allies#i totally understand how it feels like to be discriminated against 🥺'#<- not even a week later you borderline gaslight a poc rightfully saying its fucking weird to be making animal jokes about blake#at this point? call me a slur#dont pretend you give a shit about me as a poc#dont even fucking bother being my friend as a white queer if ur just gonna spout the same shit i see online#rwby fans you guys are one of the most racist fandoms out there#btw if you guys are gonna come at me with racism and harassment#you will be blocked <3#especially if u are as slavic as the vikings#do not bother lecturing a poc about how ur racist anime isn't that racist

im new here and missed your bg3 phase entirely can i hear what makes the game so sucks for you (or ill go look in the tag! fine too). i love to hear people bitchin about games everybody else doesnt wanna criticize
omg hello... first of all welcome to my twisted mind etc. my blog is an array of a completely random agglomeration of interests so im sorry if i shift from posting from x to y at the speed of light LMFAO. my bg3 obsession phase was definitely a strange exception but i guess it is what it is
and def i can give u the sparknotes version of my criticisms for the game, which are both rational and not and you're free not to agree and so forth, i'm just one guy expressing an opinion which i think i'm entitled to since i've played this game for over 200 hours almost i am fairly sure. i was not okay.
obviously i'll be mentioning spoilers fyi. i got long here but i promise this is just the Resume of my actual opinions
i hate the fact everyone sounds british except minsc or jaheira. i just dont like it. like a few characters here and there its nothing that bothers me but i'm tired of british accents in fantasy media. it makes things more of a snoozefest
for a game that prides itself on characters being reactive and interactable (esp companions) more often than not the companions reactions have been disappointingly lackluster and straight up Sad because they're so Nothing. i.e. durge reveal
i think not having tav/durge voiced was stupid. my onion!
the game is not as revolutionary as people make it out to be when it comes to character design and good lord the character creator to me is offensive. the companions are all EXTREMELY SAFE when it comes to 'conventional beauty standards', and while i'm not surprised nor did i expect any less, the lack of body diversity to me is just so... boring. it's so nothingburger. like i love projecting hcs and shit but i wish i didn't have to do that
wyll having so little in terms of content and writing and reactions in the game compared to astarion (and let's also say shadowheart bc on a technical level she's the second favorite of larian) is genuinely the worst thing to me because his concept is charming and interesting and larian just decided to do nothing with him. players that are black and/or poc obviously have said this a trillion times, i'm just echoing the sentiment because i also hate how blatant it is, esp when i read up and watched how he used to be in EA. like not to say the writing there was stellar but he had dimension. larian just does not give a fuck abt him and it is irritating lmao, esp since astarion has tangentially 0 actual involvement with the game's main plot in his arc WHILE WYLL LITERALLY GETS HIS ARC SIDELINED BY THE EMPEROR I FUCKING HATE THAT STUPID TURN OF EVENTS SO MUCH
act 1 is probably the best optimized out of all the acts, with the optimization being probably up to midway of act 2. then it alllllll goes downhill. i said it so much but i never get tired of saying it: act 3 is so poorly organized, so many good ideas all smushed together in an indigestible slog of an act with too many quests flattened in one single serving making it so fucking hard to want to get it done. which is awful, because a lot of poignant plot events and fights happen in act 3. i'm still of the firm belief they should've made an act 4. considering this ties in with the aforementioned issue where wyll was supposed to get more content... and it got cut out 'for time'.
i fucking hate astarion fans. i trust like 2 people that do like him. i genuinely was so indifferent to him in the game. like he's fine as a character. i just dont like him much because of the fans. Again ties in with the wyll issues too because people love to pretend astarion would be in wyll's place in the dancing scene when astarion would call you slurs and kill you if he could
also like think what you will of minthara but i think it's criminal that she's a companion and alongside wyll is left to rot at the bottom of the game's code. it's definitely more egregious for wyll imo but like. idk i also am not a fan of this esp since i discovered halsin was added as a companion because THE FANS begged them to. seething
again, there's people more well equipped to discuss this and i did reblog and share posts abt this before on my main account but the embarrassing fantasy racism is there and it's an innate problem of dnd. i think it should be mentioned and kept in mind regardless if it's done well or not (which i don't think it was).
this is less abt the game itself and more abt the fandom but i genuinely cannot fucking stand people who are so aggressive at users who have sexuality headcanons for some of the characters of the game. i've seen people have SO much fucking vitriol towards lesbians having lesbian hcs, specifically, gee i wonder why. this hasn't happened to Me but i have witnessed it.
i think that's more or less the Issues i have with bg3. you're free to ask anything in specific but like... i dont hate the game. or i wouldnt have played it so much. but it should not have been GOTY to me. sorry. like there's so much i just think is wrong... but im just one guy.
i usually prefer completely different types and genres of games, so obviously i'll be more dissecting towards a game i tried out of curiosity and Liked, but with many grievances. the type of stuff i usually like is also far from perfect but i judge a lot of those things in bg3 because of how the game presents itself as in advertisement and social media posts, as well as just like, the steam page. i have plans in the future to try similar games to bg3 to see if it's a common problem within that genre or if it's the black sheep (for me) but for now it is how it is
anyways i did also like a lot of parts of the game, it's just, i can't really reccomend it without mentioning what i didn't like you know?

Late but still: stop adding 'but it's still good episode right 🥺' everytime I crit Dot and Bubble bc u feel guilty. I dont care about D&B's "redeeming qualities". If ur waiting for the 'im a POC and I liked it' post from me ur gonna be waiting a long time. Its not happening!
You're at a crossroads now where u can't go back to enjoying the episode in peace aka ignorance anymore. Instead of unpacking why u rate an episode for white people (RTD's words btw) over Black writers you'd rather I as a Black person water down my shit to absolve ur white guilt.
If I 'ruined' your enjoyment of Dot and Bubble then maybe that's good. Maybe u should ask why u like reapping the benefits of a racism episode made for you over the people that actually face it. Maybe ask why RTD is ur go to over the Black British writers u even can't name.
Dot and Bubble's still trash to me. I don't give a fuck about what the 'good bits' were bc a pastel colour palette & emotional acting isnt worth the erasure of Black writers & liberal racism that reinforces the racism it pretends to be against. We're grown. Make up ur own mind.

Hey guys i've found myself defending America and it feels weird but can yall tell me if I'm in the wrong here?
(its long im sorry)
TLDR: My friend is an international student, we got in a joking argument about soccer vs football that ended in accusations of racism and McCarthyism. Did I take it too far?
.........
I go to a private college in America (in the south) that I have worked hard to get a full tuition scholarship so I can afford to attend. I have a friend who also goes here that is an international student from New Delhi. I'll call her N.
N is very sweet, but she has the tendency to get very peeved about the culture differences between India and America. I have met plenty of other international students who are also from India (there are a LOT of international students this year) and most of them are very chill and embrace the multicultural area that the school is located in.
I am also, as we may know, an avid arguer. I'm a philosopher at heart. I think disagreements let me get to know people better through how they argue (which helps me know if they'd be a good friend. idk its the tism ig).
So N and I were chilling and out of the blue they send me a reel about how non-americans get mad when americans say soccer and not football. I sent back "its true cuz we're fine with them calling it football but they pop off whenever we say soccer" and she responds with "Because you're saying it wrong."
We've had convos like this and I normally assume they're being light hearted and pretending like its a big thing, so I responded kinda sarcastically "damn learn how to accept peoples differences" and she said "not if theyre american"
Like ok shes being sarcastic back but it feels weird. I started bantering about how other countries also say soccer (australia, south africa, new guinea) and she says "yes but only in the US and canada you haveto clarify what you mean when you say football because yall stole the name."
This confused me cuz tf you mean "you stole the name." First off I didn't do shit, second off how the fuck do you steal a sport? I said exactly that and she replies with "Nothing in america is your own" and holy shit im actually defending america wtf. This is not like me. But im not defending its history or its government, im defending the culture of it cus thats honestly the only good part of it. So respond with a cheeky lil "and isnt that beautiful" and she says "its yall being stupid."
I say "its a melting pot" and she says "a melting pot takes inspiration." I got a lil pissed at this because ok so did immigrants and enslaved people just spawn here? Did they steal their own cultures from their home countries?
They went on for a bit about how america is built off of appropriation, which it is fair that cultures are constantly being appropriated, but there are also cultures constantly being celebrated and fused, and that fusion and appreciation is what has the lasting impact.
I say this and she says "whatever im not arguing with an American" which of course I have to shit headedly respond with "imagine being reductive sorry I'm different than you"
She then responds with "bitch ur white" which yes. But does that mean I dont come from a diverse background and dont have culture? I respond "Yes and I live in a wonderfully diverse city of people who come from different cultures that I learn about and respect and love" and girl goes "those places dont exist in america" THEN WHERE AM I??? SPAIN???
We are literally in one of the most diverse and culture-rich cities in the south (ill give you 3 guesses) and she is saying that there isnt diversity and respect anywhere in america.
Skip forward a bit, she says that america has no culture, then corrects that to say "white america has no culture." That fucked with me a bit because its sus as shit to use the idea of "white america" and "poc america" in an argument. I said that and said that you can't give a concrete definition to "white culture" or "black culture" or "latine culture" cuz thats literally stereotyping
She said that prayer is a big part of indian culture, but isnt necessarily an overall truth for every person, which is fair. So I said then wouldn't American culture be like the national anthem. She said no because every country had a national anthem. I said that prayers are part of other cultures too, but that doesnt take away from the fact that theyre parts of other cultures too.
She then said that the national anthem isnt culture because "thats only for white people" and "a lot of america is only for white people (meaning its been used to disenfranchise poc people but she worded it in a way that sounded a smidge racist but no shade) And I said yea it fucking sucks and its forced upon us but its still well known. Theres no way that prayer isn't used to disenfranchise religious minorities in India, but its still culture.
She then said that white culture and american culture isnt a thing but black and latine culture is, (which tbh neither of us can really speak on, I was mainly discussing the american and latine element cuz I can speak on those) and I said that denying that american culture is just a mix of cultures evolving parallel over time simply because a bunch of shitty white guys founded the country is ignoring the people who have worked hard to make america their home and to carve out a spot for their own culture in this country. Just because people fucking sucked (like they have in the history of every fucking country ever) doesn't mean that people arent working to make the world better in their wake.
She said that poc culture in america stems from years of oppression. I agreed, but I said that racism and oppression isnt an America-exclusive thing. She then said, pretty out of the blue, that " for you to deny that their culture stems from oppression is racist." I said "when did I deny that." She said "you said you dont deny that what youre denying is racist. So that means you're being racist."
This confused me, so I asked "where did I deny that something was racist." Also I'm pre law, so I started getting a lil pre-law-y here. Don't judge me its a survival instinct I got from my parents lmao. She said "I said if you refuse to accept that black and brown cultures are real youre being racist." I said "show me what message I said that."
She said "chill babe theres no need to get defensive" which is literally the worst thing to say to me because boom youve made me into a defense attorney. I hate being patronized. I said "I am not being defensive, you are making accusations with no regard for evidence." (my profs would like that line)
She goes "this isnt a court of law girl" ok girl you act like youre gonna say that america doesnt have culture and then call me racist? I really just wanted this to end so I pulled out the mccartheyism card and said "you cant red scare roundabout logic your way out of being reductive and oversimplifying an enormously widespread country." and we were done. I know I ended it on an accusatory note which I hate, but I feel like shes ignoring so much thats literally going on in front of her face. Did I go too far? I know that I did and I shouldn'tve started the "youre being reductive" circle, but genuinely, the cure to culture shock isnt to be indignant about every difference you see, its to accept it. Its the same in literally every country. You cant just say "no I dont want to."

God ur so self righteous it hurts 😭 all u ever do is sit here and throw around ur hot takes and opinions and then expect ur little gremlins to agree with you, but as soon as its another person who has a hot take or an opinion that opposes you, and a few people defend them whether it be a friend or an anon, they are evil, and this is just fatphobia aside like this is EVERY "moral" take you have its just all hot garbage and you being a hypocrit 💀 half the time its stuff that you have literally no say on anyway.
Are you a vampire? Have you always been afraid of mirrors?
"Moral backbone" my ass you just say whatever you will think would appeal to various minorities so you can look like the good guy who happens to be blunt. Its not even being blunt you arent cool for being a cunt towards everyone and it will never be cool. Stick to talking about shit that relates to you and maybe, just maybe, people wouldn't hate on you so much. It's no wonder half of caratblr can't stand ur ass
I dont think this take is as bad as that one time, or well multiple times you have shat on peoples writing styles or the content they write about just because it doesnt fit your vanilla cis straight woman narrative, now thats awful
Or maybe the times you've vagueposted about some of your closest moots just for them to still be here, defending your ass when all you do is talk shit about them constantly
you think i’m just saying what i think will appeal to various minorities. it’s really telling that you think people have the political beliefs they do just to look good. like do you really believe people have the beliefs they do performatively? do you find it hard to believe that people hold beliefs not out of a desire to look good, but because that’s what they believe???
also because this is weird: since when have i vagueposted about mutuals. when have mutuals defended me???? like what are you actually talking about … i don’t care if half of caratblr can’t stand my ass, if they’re that willing to support anything just because a fic writer did it, i don’t really care what they think. like i say it here all the time, i don’t care what y’all think of me. just unfollow me if you don’t want me on your dash.
the main thing i have to say here though. “half of the time it’s shit you have no say in anyway” like i don’t have to be black to think that anti-blackness is bad. this goes beyond whatever this anon is talking about — the problem with “listen to x voices” is that, while it’s important to put oppressed viewpoints in the forefront of discussions, it’s not a free pass out of critical thought. ppl forget “listen to x voices” started out in academic study. it wasn’t about the ppl you choose to defend or the viewpoints you hold publicly. and it’s not about minority voices saying “x isn’t harmful” taking precedence over established theory to the contrary. i think this is something ANY poc understands acutely and painfully because it’s always the conservative and white supremacist sellouts that get put to the forefront. (this includes diasporic poc more so than non-minority people native to their nation. like how irritating that bts has a voice on violence against asian americans when their experience as native koreans has NOTHING to do with the diasporic asian experience!?)
it also gives people an out. if you believe that only x people should talk or care about x issues, then that lets you just sit back and say “well, i’m not x so i’m not involved”… and more irritatingly, it gives you the perceived right to say “well I’M a minority so my opinion is right !!!!”. being a person of color doesn’t make me an expert on racism and i don’t pretend to be an expert. there are white anti-imperialist scholars who have a better understanding of racist power structures than i do and i’m not arrogant enough to just write that off because they’re white.

racism rant part 23456786543245
the double standards are through the fucking ROOF. it actually makes me want to fucking strangle someone. if i get called 'racist, and anti white' for saying that white ppl cannot experience racism and get held back when i have another lesson????? then a pasty ass dude call me, the n word (im fucking brown anyway) IN FRONT OF A TEACHER?? AND NOT FACE ANY CONSEQUENCES??? and if i report them?? i'm 'mistaken' and hes 'just uneducated'??? number one. educate them?? number 2. thats unfair???? these incidents happened when i was 14 btw. but do u know what is even more painful?? when ppl 100% know what they are doing, what theyre saing and the meanings of theyre actions and consequences. im talking about higher ups, teachers, slt members, shopkeepers, all that. it makes me so fuckING MADDDD. im in a class with one of my friends. she has a pretty noticeable indian accent bc she yk. moved here from india less than 2 yrs ago?? but her english is perfectly understandable. yet this bitch (ofc middle aged cishet white man) decides to pretend he has no clue what shes saying. anD PROCEEDS TO MOCK HER??? the audacity he has. hes also called me the saddest and most awkward person ever for waiting for him to fimish his converstaion. which ok yeah i am, however if alex (white kid) waits for him to finish his convo before asking something. hes polite and well behaved and praised like crazy. its not much but its very worthy of a fucking boot in the face. and if i report him?? im disrespectful. ofc i am. its jus banta inni. cant u take a joke? NOT IF ITS FUCKING RACIST I CANRT. oh yeah dont even count the number of times ive been called paki. another huge thing, im sure poc would relate to (specifically 1st gen immigrants) is being underestimated like fucking CRAZYYY dont even lieeee. when i was in primary, i was rlly good at readinf so like everytime i had a sub or wtvr yeah theyd always b like omg ur english is so good!! no shit i was born here. ur accent is rlly welsh omg i thought itd be different!! no shit i was born here. do you understand what that means?? yeah dw. my personal fave is one where ur doin sumt wrong or zoned out like ill give u an example. the local co op makes a queue for the skl kids since its right by our skl and i was waitin once bc i had to get milk n eggs on my way home innit then. i had a major migraine so i was zonin out all day and i happened to zone out while second in the q. then i was allowed in then for abt 30 secs i dint realize, then atp someone nugded be from behind so. i went in. then the security guard asked me if spoke english??? even tho id spoken to him on previous days bc im a rlly regular visitor???? anyway long story short, id been called a 'fuckin immigrant' but yeah. i'm just mad bc how can ppl who we are supposed to trust treat us like that and thing thats ok????? yeah its nutn new k bye

(quotes are remove/shorted for length)
especially since it's pretty obvious from the Naruto opinions blog which side they're on
That blog has had so much Sasuke fandom hate that legit has no basis to it.
Yes, the blog is abundant of one particular character/ship it must be all about them. I had the same thing in the Shipping blog with the "anti SS posts".
Some don't know if I allow proof of basis. Again, the blog is supposed to be an opinion/rant of personal experience. One that others who feel the same can go "yeah, I know what you mean" but is open to explanation and yes, even proof. Basis is welcome but not required.
Some don't know if receipts are allowed or not here. And I'm talking about any kind of claim here. Racism, homophobia or just plain rudeness. And just because I remind you all this blog is an opinion/rant blog does not mean it can't change. It's what the blog was intended for when it was created. Of course a blog evolves to change and include others. Originally both blogs didn't even allow replies. Who says it doesn't allow receipts?
There's no calling what was said an opinion.
The other side apparently has no say on this blog.
Apparently.
OP closed replies because it got heated.
Yeah, because that's what I warned about more than once on either blog. BTW, usually a confession's replies are halted because you guys request for it to be so. It gets open, because, and get this, you guys request it to be so.
The blog is called an Opinion blog because it's meant to be the companion to the main blog - the Shipping blog. As I would receive a lot of non-shipping confessions and needed a place to put them.
there's rarely a positive post about any of the Naruto characters
OK? Have you sent any? Excuse me for a) posting what I get (minus a few exceptions) and b) allowing the blog to be for its purpose. because it's, you know, mostly based on the many other confession/opinion blogs out there. It just happens to be the only one I know of that adds replies.
It seems to side heavily on one opinion over the other.
It's just like my main blog. "There's a lot of anti SS - this blog must be about that".
Not sure what "I usually post what I get". If there's an abundance of anti or pro posts, that's what I got. You want some more positive posts or what-have-you? Less bitching, more typing.
Right after posting a negative Sasuke fandom post...
Actually, right after a "sasuke is the aggressor here" and "stop impersonating POC". it's more the latter I didn't think would be so welcoming.
A post being halted for being heated just means "Uh-oh, it's getting hot in here. Let's cool down". I even implied the convo might be back in a time. Maybe. But it's open for possibility.
OP wants to pretend they care about safe-spaces but they do not.
You mean safe-spaces you personally give a shit about. All you've been going on about it "Sasuke fandom doesn't get a say", "Sasuke fandom this, Sasuke fandom that". It's not the first time I get criticised for something someone is offended by - anti SS, anti Sakura, anti SaiIno, pro ChoIno that is anti SaiIno, and it certainly wont be the last.
Their lack of clarification...
No, there's plenty of clarification. You just don't see it because all you care about is Sasuke. Your rant of "dont make serious accusations without proof" is fair and agreeable, but in the end it's really all about Sasuke.
OP has a post pinning Sakura and Hinata against each other...
Correction: Posts.
Is it any wonder people think the Naruto fandom is so toxic?
Because of... my blog? You sure it's not the fandom on a whole? Or at least certain passionate shippers and character stans?
especially when a majority of posts about Sasuke are negative in a blog
You know, it's telling when one cares to only complain about what they're missing. As if they're the only ones who are singled out.
What do you think a confession/opinion blog is for? You want positive Sasuke posts? Send some. Chop chop.
that claims to be about general opinions of Naruto
Tumblr media
Like opinions are not...general.
Congratulations: you learned that despite a blog's title, usually it's not limited to meaning just that. "A-Blog-For-My-Non-Shipping-Confessions-Cause-I-Got-a-Lot-of-Them-and-People-Were-Like-The-Hell-Anon-Those-Aren't Shipping-Confessions-So-Instead-of-Making-a-New-Blog-I just-Renamed-the-Uncommon-Naruto-Opinions-One" was just too wordy
A majority of us don't share the same opinions. We're all different and we absorb and express content in different way... it's quite something else to post these opinions in a blog that claims to represent the general Naruto fanbase.
Nice to know. You guys are usually quiet, despite your apparent need to voice your opinions and my apparent silencing you. I mean, you don't seed me what kind of posts you want. 🤷‍♀️
especially when it excludes a group of people in the fandom who may not agree
Unless you've been intending to post a confession containing harassment, slurs and the like, no one is being excluded.
I will reblog from blogs that have similar opinions to mine and backs them up with evidence.
Oh? So like everyone else then? On a blog that allows you to reblog other's posts?
A general opinion blog is honestly not necessary...it's clear everyone has different opinions about different things... I mean...it's Tumblr. Unless sourced and backed up by proof, it's just an opinion.
Thank you, but people happen to love this blog. Those who don't, that's fine. Clearly it's not the blog for you.
especially when it's not backed by proof.
You do know the blog mentions nothing about "no proof needed" right? You keep harping on about that.
And as the moderator of that blog, which frankly I find them questionable and toxic in many ways,
I don't think kindly of you either, Anon. Your rants is based on self-centred pity party and a lack of understanding of what this blog is actually about. You made good points with the whole "need receipts" thing, which the blog was again never denying wasn't necessary, but it means very little when in the end it's only about Sasuke.
they have a responsibility to ask for clarification
No, really, I don't. Anymore than anyone else does.
Funny. When I used to frequent other Confession blogs, this was never a requirement. People just posted about the fandom positively and negatively and others would just give their opinion in the comments/reblogs. And I added confession replies because sure do know you guys love to venture into correctly tagged posts disagreeing, so I thought you'd do it so why not have some control of it.
Clearly, the blog is very biased
*cough*Sasuke*cough*
This isn't just about the Sasuke fanbase.
Yeah, I totally got that.
Racism is serious so if an accusation is made, we have a responsibility to answer it and separate ourselves from that or at least if we've engaged in such behavior, to better ourselves for other members in the larger Naruto fandom.
Agreed. The blog and myself didn't say otherwise, but I do agree.
Despite your insistance to think otherwise: you and your group are not being singled out. You're not a victim of nasty Mod who clearly supports certain groups.
I'm putting this out to vent because I need it laid out, especially since it's pretty obvious from the Naruto opinions blog which side they're on. That blog has had so much Sasuke fandom hate that legit has no basis to it. It feels like legit lies, and it attacks our fanbase, particularly, which I find nefarious. To talk about a fanbase and claim it to he racist without any sort of receipts is a humongous accusation and I have half a mind to want to report if not for the fact that I know Tumblr won't do anything about it...perhaps I will. Idk. But this accusation is not an opinion. It's an accusation and if you clearly have met someone like this, someone who has racist takes then perhaps you should report them instead of putting it on a blog that claims to be an opinions blog and generalize an entire fandom or a portion of them to be like this. We are not racist. I know many POC and black fans of Sasuke, and nobody I know has ever thought, claimed this sort of accusation and opinion on Killer Bee. Hell, this opinion of Bee being an aggressive black man has got no basis in the manga/anime! He is the most chill black man there is! If anyone said this, they would literally laugh!
EDIT: After writing this, I decided to report that post. It's literally a libel post against the Sasuke fandom. There is literally no basis to it and OP wants to pretend it's an opinion about general experience. If you got a bad experience be more specific and what's more report them or call them out. It's really that simple! Everybody's experience is not the same but to make a general statement that bottles almost half the fandom as "racist" just because of one or two bad experience is literally... defaming the fandom! I'm sorry it is!
As a POC, and when you say something like that, do you have any idea how unsafe, hurt, and angry can make some people participating in the fandom? You don't put something like that and call it an opinion because it's not. It's an accusation verging on defamation against a group of people just because you had what one or two bad experiences with people.
I've had some bad experiences with people in other fandoms. You're not gonna hear me claim that a fandom is this or half the fandom is this just because of that one or two experience! I'd be attacking an entire fandom that way with an accusation that had nothing to do with them
This post is NOT the only post that has been accusing and posting lies about the Sasuke fandom. It literally mocks the Sasuke fandom for rightfully being angry. You can check the blog right now. It's the most recent post on its blog.
Right after the moderator of said blog posts that it won't be putting any more replies because it's gotten "heated"
Because God forbid someone is angry at you for posting libel and calling it an "opinion".
I mean, omg, you got pushback for literally stating that there's a group in a certain fandom that is racist and think "oh this is just gossip?"Oh, I'm just saying my opinion or talking about an experience and saying yeah the entire fandom is that way."
And the negative Sasuke posts keep coming because I looked back at it again, and there's clearly an anon there with an agenda against the Sasuke fandom. And nowhere there is a defense against this. The other side apparently has no say on this blog. And by other side, I mean the Sasuke fandom. OP closed replies because it got heated.
and tbh there's rarely a positive post about any of the Naruto characters, certainly not Sasuke, in a blog that is called the " Naruto General Opinions" blog. What is so general about this blog? It seems to side heavily on one opinion over the other. Right after posting a negative Sasuke fandom post that accuses the fandom of racism, anti-blackness, and micro-aggressions of black people with the baseless claim that Sasuke stans say that Killer Bee is an aggressive black man which I have seen that absolutely no where and even the claim of Killer Bee has no support in the manga so why would anyone say that? But right after posting that, they won't be putting any sort of heated replies because, again, people got anger, why? This person posts about Sasuke "bad decisions" as if characters aren't allowed that, and we all gotta stand perfect characters who do pretty much nothing.
Basically, we should all stand Hinata since you don't get a more inoffensive character than that, right?
Also what is anon talking about? You think we're angry at people criticizing Sasuke's decisions. People have been criticizing Sasuke's decision since day on. Hell the post creates another falsehood about why Sasuke stans are angry.
Y'all called us racist and anti-black. As a POC, Idk whether to laugh or be angry at such baseless claims and I'd again rant about why but I've probably repeated myself a number of times on why I feel like that post is nothing more than libel especially since OP wants to pretend that it's an opinion of an experience that a number of times could've been much more clearer but isn't, and defame an entire fanbase as that way.
OP wants to pretend they care about safe-spaces but they do not. Their lack of clarification and the majority of their anon posts of "general Naruto opinions" being basically negative, not just to the Sasuke community but to many character fanbases such as Sakura, Hinata, Naruto etc tells you everything. And it's the fanbases that are generally attacked and mocked. Never anything about the characters.
OP has a post pinning Sakura and Hinata against each other...
Is it any wonder people think the Naruto fandom is so toxic?
In writing this vent, I relooked at the blog and found yeah I agree with some of the takes the blog has but as a Sasuke fan who feels very attacked, especially when a majority of posts about Sasuke are negative in a blog that claims to be about general opinions of Naruto, I can't help but sympathize with Sakura and Hinata fandoms and any other fandom that has been criticized. How ostracized they must feel when there's a blog claiming to be about general opinions of Naruto, but it's about them...
Like opinions are not...general. A majority of us don't share the same opinions. We're all different and we absorb and express content in different way. While annoyance and irritation of how some people absorb and express content is valid, it's quite something else to post these opinions in a blog that claims to represent the general Naruto fanbase.
And even if the majority do feel the same way...is it fair for the minority to be excluded? Is it fair to have one blog be the space of "opinions," especially when the majority are nothing more than toxic angry anti takes
And again, some of these anti takes, I do agree on...but I'm going to be honest, I will never reblog from them because no way do I think my opinion is just a general opinion especially when it excludes a group of people in the fandom who may not agree. I will reblog from blogs that have similar opinions to mine and backs them up with evidence.
If you have these sorts of opinions, post it on your own blog. A general opinion blog is honestly not necessary...it's clear everyone has different opinions about different things... I mean...it's Tumblr. Unless sourced and backed up by proof, it's just an opinion.
But opinions can be hurtful and verge on to seemingly defamatory when opinions feel like falsehoods, especially when it's not backed by proof. I've looked, and many others have looked to see where this claim of Killer Bee being an aggressive black man comes from, and...it's nowhere!? And OP will not ask or show proof because apparently it's an "opinion about an experience.". If you're gonna put baseless accuations of opinions there, I'm gonna tell you what that's called. It's called libel. Spoken, it would be slander. And all of it is just defamation against an entire fanbase who likes a character you don't like.
And as the moderator of that blog, which frankly I find them questionable and toxic in many ways, they have a responsibility to ask for clarification because spreading lies about a certain fandom base is not right. It's not. Clearly, the blog is very biased, but it verges on harassment and abuse and a hate campaign against an entire fanbase of a character they don't like.
Like I don't think I'm over-inflating, this becomes I personally feel like my character has been attacked by this. I don't write metas or analysis. I've been thinking about it... but it almost feels like both OP and Anon want to silence an entire fanbase because they just don't agree, and they do so with this slander!
This isn't just about the Sasuke fanbase. This is also about every fanbase in the Naruto community. Racism is serious so if an accusation is made, we have a responsibility to answer it and separate ourselves from that or at least if we've engaged in such behavior, to better ourselves for other members in the larger Naruto fandom.
This is just a rant I needed to get out, but I'm deciding to take action. I've had some friends that have been hurt and have seen some defamatory statements online about the Sasuke fanbase and I will no longer stand idolly by. It's one thing to insult and criticize my character, you are entitled to your opinion, but when someone is attacking my character for liking a character they don't like, expect some pushback.
I came into the Naruto fandom because I like Naruto, the manga, and anime. I didn't come in to be harassed for liking a character you don't like. Feel free to rant about it on your own blog, but the moment you spread lies, especially on a blog that claims to be a blog about "general naruto opinions"is the moment I can't stay silent about this.
Okay, I'm gonna end my rant here. I've wasted enough time thinking and writing this, but I mean it when I said, I've had enough when lies start coming into the picture.
EDIT 2: I've decided to take out screenshots because I'm unsure if I should put screenshots. It could be wrong or taken wrong.

Idk if its just me but I feel that the backlash against OFMD was not enough. Like everyone here is so LOUD about LGBTQ issues and other issues plaguing people but they legitimately dont boost voices or concerns when it xomes to black people. Specifically.
Im brown and I dont live in the US, but Ive heard and read enough to know that white people and many poc too, just dont give racism the attention it deserves.
And I wanted to ask if you think Im right in feeling angry or am i over reacting because I just dont feel okay with how easily the shows creators' reasoning was just accepted by the majority of blogs on here, where he explained how they were rewriting stories and changing the narratives or whatever. There were many ways to go about making shows and choosing two slavers to do it was absolutely the worst possible take.
No you're 100% right anon, what nonBlack PoC and white gays like to do is pretend that anything that gets Black people upset is "worth it". They're fine if their über queer gay rep is in the form of rehabilitated white supremacists because they have no empathy for Black people and no understanding of just how bad slavery was. Kidnapped Africans were raped, abused, killed for fun, and even eaten by white people because white supremacy was (and is) just that violent and destructive. Environments were permanently changed, genetic maps were permanently changed, there's millions of descendants of indigenous Africans in diaspora now across North America, the Caribbean, and South America (as well as other places) because of slavery. Stede Bonnet and Blackbeard contributed to that.
But if there's one thing white queer people and nonBlack PoC (whether queer or not) have shown themselves to be, it's incredibly callous, self centered, and dismissive of what Black people say about antiBlackness. NonBlack gays would have dumped this show in a heartbeat if there was any homophobia, transphobia, or acephobia. If Stede Bonnet or Blackbeard were notoriously homophobic and turned into an uwu tenderqueer couple, they'd be up in arms and trying to get the show cancelled. When Black people say to stop making white supremacists relatable, we get patronizing and irrelevant remarks about how All Pirates Are Evil, as if theft and human trafficking are the same thing. We get false platitudes about how they're ~thinking critically~, as if they don't end up just watching and talking about and supporting the show anyways.
You know, the Chicago tribune published a review for OFMD and the racism it's predicted on, and there were nonBlack gays who's heads were so far up fandoms ass that they easily convinced themselves that this review didn't come to exist because of a genuine desire by the author to talk about the racism inherent in this show, but because it was Big Cishet Media lashing out against one of the only positive representations of healthy gays. No matter what, nonBlack gay people will make themselves the victim before even remotely respecting Black people's perspectives. I can't even begin to tell you how many of these people claim to support Black Lives Matter while also gaslighting the shit out of Black people, making us seem like we're uneducated idiots for expecting a comedy to teach us about pirates, making us seem like we're being unfair and even homophobic for wanting this show to not be a racist pile of trash, and pretending like Taika Waititi doesn't already have a history of antiBlackness going back years now that keeps popping up in his projects.
These people are 100% okay with their happy healthy gay media being about white supremacists. I have zero sympathy or patience for people who gush about that show.

I mean... This whole "issue" of people using names of cultures they dont belong to dose have some merit. Like i get that you dont want someone appropriating cultures or fetishizing others or using things they dont understand and i fully agree
However!!
It comes from 4 weird places. First off, you cant just assume someone isnt a part of the culture their using the name from. Like people can look nothing like some of their races and you habe no idea what culture someone could of been adopted into and raised in. You have no right to tell someone who isnt ethnically/racially chinese who was raised in chinese culture after being adopted by chinese parents that they cant connect with the culture they were raised in. Ur a fucking idiot.
2nd off, dont just assume anyone who uses a name from a different culture is doing so unknowingly, fetishly, appropriatively or without full comprehension. Like idk man, some people are actually informed and know the origins of the name they want to go by. Some people can genuinely like a name and culture and it dosent make them a "fetishist" if they are respectful. Names are not an appropriative property. You cant pretend your something just by having a name outside of your culture/race. There are many bellas in the world and no one automatically assumes they're italian. There are many levis(oh look! The name most people know me as and is listed as my main name!) And no one assumes they're Hebrew/jewish. To automatically assume anyone who uses a name is an idiot and dosent know its origins or meaning is very pretentious. You dont know that person. You dont know their life or their amount of research, if done at all.
3rdly. This is the internet. Who gives an actual shit??? What fucking sociopath in 2022 gose by their actual irl name on the internet? Thats how you die. Thats how you get swatted and doxed. Its so dangerous to go by your legal name on the internet. Not to mention that names on the internet mean fuck-all. Anyone could be behind the screen of any gender, sex, ethnicity, culture, history, etc and you have no idea if they are what they say they are. An internet persona is a mirage and you have no proof or idea if any info ive said about myself is correct, hell, you have no clue if any info anyone on the internet said about themselves is correct.
Given, for clarities sake, I'm not lieing about the shit ive been through or what i am. Thats a pretty elaborate, complex and detailed lie to keep up and id perfer to not give myself the stress associated with that.\gen
But seriously. I could actually be asian. Or not. I could be an a.i for all you know. Cut the crap, you dont genuienly care who uses what name from what culture. The only people who care are American white liberals with brainrot.
4th and most importantly, and imma put on big text for this cause its real fuckin important
The idea that people can/should only use names from the cultures they originated from is based in ethnic cleansing and segregation.
It was made to make the "enemy"(see:poc) visable. To notice them on job applications or in doctors offices. The idea is if they feel they must name their child by their culture that they can be more easily spotted then oppressed. So many poc parents, especially those who are black or immegrants, admit to choosing to give their babies whiter names so they are less likely to be picked on and more easily blend into english and/or American society. By taking away the notion that "x culture sounding name means your automatically x", we take away the power of assocation that racists rely on. We remove the assumptions and force people to be more racially open and aware.
Im not saying names should be completely stripped of their culture significance, obvs but saying "black people can only have black names and white people can only have white names and asian people can only have asian names" sounds racist as fuck to me. Sounds segregative, isolating and like some half hearted attempt at "ethnic name-al purity" which is gross. Its like assigning genders to clothes or pronouns to objects, it makes no sense to force it to only be one thing when it is innate.
Thats my more in-depth take and i utterly refuse to acknowledge this stupid conversation again. Seriously. Saying "only x people can have x cultural names or else your a fetishizing appropriative racist" is fucking stupid and weird and have some racistly sterotypical undertones all delivered by a as usual, white knight, someone who has no say in the game.
Your free to disagree but i speak as a native american and inuit person that i Litterally dont give a shit if someone uses cherokee or inuk names as long as their informed and respectful to its origins. And neither should you for any race as names are no exception,

Four Years of Birthdays
A/N: Hey everyone! This isn’t my first time writing for Harry but my first time actually posting it so I’m very excited! This is inspired by the little piece I wrote on Tom Holland’s birthday, I wanted to make a similar concept. Hope you guys like it, and happy birthday to our beloved baby boy Harry Styles! We love you so much!💜
Word Count: 2.4k (she tiny because I suck)
Summary: Harry’s four different birthdays with Y/N in differents points of his life.
Fluff all the way! with like a little talk about sexual themes because I had to.
poc friendly and plus size friendly (I think, please tell me if I made a mistake!) because we dont blush bright red or swim in men’s clothes in this house💫
Tumblr media
2019 - 25th Birthday
Spending his birthday with Y/N was one of Harry’s favourite things. Over the last ten years of his life, she had missed quite a few of them as he was on the road and she was back home in London, going to uni and living a normal life. It was only the last couple of years that he was able to be home on his birthday, his solo career allowing him a bit more freedom to arrange his schedule as he wanted.
This year, he had wanted to have a quiet birthday, just with his family and close friends. And of course, his girlfriend, who was currently climbing on his back on the bed, trying to coax him out of sleep.
“Loviee” she whined into the back of his neck between kisses. “Wake up.”
“No.” his voice was deeper than usual as he groaned, trying to bury himself more into the pillows to avoid the bright sunlight in the room. “‘M sleepy.”
“But it’s your birthday.” she protested with a kiss to a small part of his cheek that wasn’t hidden away. “I need to give you your 25 kisses.”
“Just 25?” he frowned, raising his head from the pillow to look back at her. “That’s nowhere near enough! You kiss me more on a regular day.”
“Hmm..” she pretended to ponder his words, one of her hands going up to brush away the soft curls that fell on his forehead. “Then how about I give you a blowie for 25 minutes?”
Even if she couldn’t see his face, she would still be able to hear the grin in his voice. “Now that’s more like it.” He was turning over and laying on his back in a heartbeat, tugging at her thighs to make her straddle him again.
She complied, throwing one leg over his hips and gently sitting on thighs, not putting her full weight. She leaned down to softly brush her lips against his, once, twice, three times. “Happy birthday, baby.”  she sighed against them, rubbing her nose against his lovingly.
“Thank you, angel.” he smiled, letting his hands roam over the soft material of her shirt. “I reckon it’s gonna be the best one so far.”
“Really? Is there a reason why?” she grinned, feeling like she already knew the answer.
“Because this is the first one I’m waking up with you as my girlfriend. Finally,” he sighed. “I can kiss you for real instead of making a wish for it when I blow out the candles.”
“You’re so cheesy.” she teased with a smile, leaning down to give him another kiss. “I still can't believe you wished for it.”
“Literally every year.” he confirmed, only blushing slightly under her loving gaze. “Honestly don’t know what I’m gonna wish for this time. It’s been the same thing for many years.”
“I’m sure you’ll come up with something.” She placed a final peck to his lips, then swiftly got up from his lap. “Now get up, your mum’s expecting us for breakfast.”
“But- but- my blowie!”
She looked back to see an adorable pout on his lips, one that she almost couldn’t resist. Almost.
“Later.” she promised, pulling him to his feet and laying a few kisses on his neck. “I’m gonna take care of you properly tonight, after your party. Along with your final present.”
“You’re a tease.” he breathed, the meaning behind her words not so hidden. She grinned, and trailed her hand softly down his back until she was grabbing his bum, giving it a firm squeeze.
“Heyy!” he jumped, trying to grab her before she made a run for the bathroom, and failing.
“Pick your outfit, it takes ages!” she yelled through the closed door, making him huff and fall back on the bed dramatically.
“Harry Edward Styles!” Well, guess she knew him too well.
“Yes, ma’am!”
2009 - 15th birthday
“Hello.”
Harry raised his head from the plastic cup he was refilling, to see a familiar girl looking at him with a friendly smile.
“Hi.” he smiled back as he straightened up, silently giving her the cue to go on.
“Sorry to bother you. I just wanted to say that I really liked your performance. You guys were incredible!”
“Oh, thank you! Of course you’re not bothering me. I’m glad to know you liked it.” He grinned. “We’re at the same school, right? I’ve seen you around before.”
“Yeah, but we’ve never actually talked, I think. I’m Y/N, by the way. Will invited me because I live next door.” she explained, nodding towards his bandmate that was currently hosting his birthday party/small concert in his garage.
“You don’t need to explain yourself! Next time, I’ll just have to make sure that I invite you myself.”
She grinned at his words. “That’s very nice of you, Harry. Oh, and happy birthday, by the way! I almost forgot.” Right, she was at his birthday party. She already knew his name.
“Thank you! And thanks for coming.”
Before she could open her mouth to say anything else, the lights were dimmed and the back entrance of the garage was illuminated with a soft, orange light as his friends brought in the cake. Off-key voices singing him happy birthday filled the space, and he made his way to his friends with a huge smile on his face, Y/N joining the small crowd around him as they waited for him to blow out the candles.
“Don’t forget to make a wish!” one of his mates yelled just as he was leaning towards the cake.
“Sorry.” he chuckled, then closed his eyes to make his wish. I want to make music. For all my life.
Little did he know, that would be his only wish in the next ten years that didn’t involve the girl that he had just met.
2016 - 22th birthday
“I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling twenty-two! Everything will be alright if you keep me next to you!”
“What the fuck.” he muttered into his pillow, trying to figure out if he was dreaming or if his phone was actually ringing with a Taylor Swift song. But even when he was wide awake after a few minutes he could still hear her melodic voice, so he reached out with a groan and checked the caller ID. Of course.
“How did you manage to change my ringtone all the way from London?” he answered in a groggy voice.
“Well, good morning to you too, hun, took you long enough! I’m very good, thanks for asking! And I got Niall to do it yesterday, obviously.”
“... Morning Y/N.”
“Oh, stop grumbling, it doesn’t suit you. Get up and get ready, I’m gonna facetime you in thirty minutes.” And before he could say anything, she hung up on him.
He looked at this phone in disbelief. Did she just hang up on me on my birthday?! He rolled his eyes, but he couldn’t help the soft smile that appeared on his face. To be honest, there were a lot of things he couldn’t help when it came to her.
Half an hour later, when he was freshly showered and dressed, his phone rang with an incoming facetime call just like she said. She probably set an alarm for exactly thirty minutes, he thought fondly.
Her smiling face greeted him as he accepted the call. “Happy birthday, Haz!!”
“Thanks, love.” he chuckled, eyeing the tiny cupcake in front of her through the small screen. “Whatcha got there?”
“That’s your birthday cupcake, made it myself! Was tired of shitty store-bought cake.”
“I don’t know, it looks kind of ugly.” he joked, grinning at her mock-offended face. “I could do better. I worked in a bakery, ya know.”
“You literally just ran the register and washed the dishes.”
“Still, in a bakery!”
She was shaking her head at his shit-eating grin, but he could still see a soft smile playing at her lips. It caused his heart to flutter in his chest. What he wouldn’t give to see her smiling at him like that everyday.
“Anyway, candle time!” she piped, grabbing a lighter from somewhere behind the camera and lighting up the single candle on her tiny cupcake.
Harry watched her raise the cupcake closer to the camera and she instructed him to make a wish. This routine was familiar to them now. Every year, she would video call with a different type of cake, to make up for not being able to be there with him.
Harry closed his eyes, and made the same wish that he had been making for the last six years of his life. I wish you were mine.
He opened his eyes and blew lightly towards the screen, her actions matching his as she blew out the candle in his place. She gave a little cheer afterwards, and the brightness of her eyes warmed him up all the way down to his toes, even through a phone screen.
They talked for a while after that, catching up on each other’s lives and discussing the dates they would be able to meet up again. She hung up with a final ‘happy birthday, love you!’ and then he was left staring at his phone, a small smile still remaining on his face. I wish you were mine.
And later, when he logged onto his twitter account and tweeted some certain song lyrics, he only cared about one person’s reaction out of millions.
2018 - 24th birthday
“Hey. I’ve been looking for you.”
Harry turned towards the kitchen door that led to the back garden, seeing her slide it close to make her way towards him.
“Just taking a breather, love.” he said, accepting his woolly coat that she handed him. “Thank you.”
“Didn’t want you to catch a cold.” She sat next to him on the wooden porch bench, wrapped up in her own fuzzy coat. There was another item in her hand, a thick, heavy looking box.
“What’s that?” he asked, pointing at it.
“Oh, I came here to give it to you. Your final gift.”
“Y/N.” he sighed. “The others were more than enough.”
“I don’t think this even counts as my gift, honestly.” She grinned at the puzzled look on his face. “Just open it.”
He did. Inside was a thick notebook, a scrapbook by the looks of it, that read ‘Happy Birthday Harry! - 2018’
He looked at her curiously, but she just smiled and told him to open it again. He turned to the first page, and ran his gaze across the page. His eyes widened in surprise. He quickly flipped a few pages to see that all of them had the same thing; printings. Printed screenshots from various social media platforms, of his fans wishing him a happy birthday.
“I know you don’t use social media a lot these days.” she explained as he kept reading the tweets glued onto the scrapbook. “But you were trending on Twitter today, and yesterday too, lots of people wishing you a happy birthday and telling how much they loved you. I thought you might want to see it.”
He let out a watery laugh, not being able to tear his gaze away from the book in his hands. He couldn’t help the tears, not really. She had taken the time to print out lots and lots of tweets, instagram posts, everything; she had cut them and put them in this book and added little stickers in between with colorful doodles. And she had done it to carry his fans’ messages to him, she had basically hand-delivered their gifts of love to him.
“Thank you.” he breathed, his voice catching in his throat. “This is… I think this may be the best gift I’ve ever received.”
“Well, like I said, it’s not technically from me. I just put some tweets together, your fans are the ones who wrote them.” She paused, then added. “I just wanted you to see just how loved you are. By everyone. You have such a kind heart, and an amazing soul; all of these people are aware of it and they love you for it.” She tapped the book in his lap, emphasising her words.
“Thank you.” he repeated himself, seemingly at a loss for words. He closed the book and carefully put it back in its box, intending to read everything in it later. He placed it beside him, then turned to her and pulled her in a hug.
Her arms were around him in a second, not hesitating to tighten around him and pull him closer. She was so warm even in the cold weather, and she smelled so nice, and he wouldn’t be able to pull back if he tried. He didn’t know how long they sat there in each other's embrace, but when he felt her starting to lean back, something in him shifted. He turned his head towards her as she pulled away, so his cheek was softly grazing hers. She stilled a bit, looking into his eyes as if she was looking for something, then she closed her eyes and turned the rest of the way, her lips meeting his in a gentle kiss.
His breath hitched in his throat as his lips slightly parted, a small gasp making its way out of them when he realized finally, finally he was kissing her. He was kissing Y/N. This was really happening.
He brought a hand up to gently cup her cheek, his thumb stroking her cheekbone as they kissed, probably the softest, the most incredible kiss of his life. He couldn’t believe this was happening. He couldn’t believe how amazing she felt against him, how her hands in his hair felt just right, how warm her cheek was under his hand.
But despite every bone in his body wanting to kiss her forever, he was the first one to pull away, because he just couldn’t keep it in anymore. “I wish you were mine.”
“What?” she asked breathlessly, apparently still under the effect of their kiss.
“I wish you were mine.” he repeated. “That’s the wish I’ve made on every single birthday since I was sixteen. Everytime you looked at me and told me to make a wish, I was only able to think about how much I wanted to kiss you.”
She stared at him with parted lips, looking into his eyes like she was trying to figure out if he was messing with him. She could only see love and admiration.
“You’re an idiot, Harry Styles.” she breathed. Then, she cupped his face with her hands and kissed him again, and again, and again, and he felt like everything in his life was finally going to be okay.
some end notes: Sooo I’m sorry for the kind of shitty ending. It’s literally 3 am in Turkey rn and I have an early class but I just wanted to finish this quickly and post it before I went to bed. I haven’t written anything in months because I wasn’t 🌌feeling it🌌 so I basically bullied myself into writing this haha. This is my first posted Harry piece but there are a few other pieces I’ve been working on! (for months, literally. *sigh*)
~~
If you liked it, please feel free to reblog and leave a teeny tiny feedback! Writers really appreciate it!💜

Dark Desire
I decided to write a yandere!ateez so ENJOY
POC Idol!Reader x Yandere!ATEEZ
Part One
Y/Ns POV
As always I’m not surprised... WooYoung is at my dressing room door AGAIN. We broke up a few days ago, only because I just don’t have time for dating at the rate that I’m at I’m my career. I love WooWoo yes but he doesn’t understand that he has so many other things to focus on.
San has contacted me more than once saying that he hasn’t been the same. Every time he mentions me or any of the members he gets all angry saying things like “ When did i allow you to talk about my Kitten? I didn’t did I? The Dont mention her again”. He almost Hurt JONGHO BEFORE I STEPPED IN. He wasn’t like this when I met him or when we started dating, I swear he’s a brand new person.
I sighed hearing the threats coming out his mouth left and right. I was shaken up but it was time for me to go on stage.
It was the MAMA Awards and I go on after Taemin. I got up and opened the door walking pass WooYoung. He yelled “ And your gonna pretend you don’t see your owner standing here?!” He grabbed my arm harshly.
“ Woo not right now Damn! You see I have to go preform and your pulling this cramp IN public backstage! Are you fucking serious?! Get a damn grip and leave me the fuck alone” I said giving up and sick of his bullshit. I yanked my arm back and went on stage in a hurry.
I heard him following but saw HongJoong come and pull him back from following me. “ we need to get ready” he mumbled loud enough for me to hear a little.
*After your wonderful PERFORMANCE THAT YOU FUCKING MURDER BITCH!*
I walked backstage tired but with a smile as everyone clapped for me and giving me hugs. I saw SeongHwa at the end of the line and I sighed knowing he wanted to talk about WooYoung and earlier.
“ Why are you ignoring us?” He said looking worried. “ I understand Woo but why the rest of the members... Why ...me?” He said.
“Hwa as much I care for all of you... I don’t see it fair to be around any of you and Woo has to as far away from me as possible. I’m not apart of you y’all’s little happy crew anymore me and Woo are over so that means I’m done with the rest of the group” i said as fast as I could.
Hwa and I had a moment before I fell for WooYoung. It was only a moment to me because he said it was a mistake the kiss should’ve never happened and he ignored me for MONTHS.
“But...What about YeoSang? He’s your best Friend” I cut him off. “ Why are you so worried about everything? You hated me not to long ago now you want me back in all of your lives... With all respect Hwa I rather stay away from YOU ALL. Including YeoSang.”
I walked away back to my dressing room to talk to my manager about getting more body guards... There’s this side of ATEEZ that I think... No one has ever seen besides me and it’s scary as shit.
*1 hour until ATEEZ’s performance*
I got dressed in a nice black dress and fixed my hair. You would think that I would stay in my Dressing room for safety but I have to award the groups with their World Wide Fandom Awards. I walked down the hallway smiling and waving and bowing to everyone. I saw NCT walking towards me and i stopped and greeted them.
“Wow, Y/N you just get more beautiful and beautiful each time” Lucas said smiling Softly. I chuckled and smiled about to respond but I saw ATEEZ out the corner of my eye just watching me with this angry look on their faces. I turned back to them and looked at the time. “ Thank you Lucas but I have to go you all see you on stage” I smiled and picked up my dress kind of quick walking to get pass ATEEZ faster.
As I somewhat approached them, they stopped me. San grabbed my arm and smirked then looked at HongJoong. “ We are annoyed that you haven’t even spoken to us today.  I tried to play it cool earlier to keep WooYoung in check but you just keep getting harder and harder to tame.”
HongJoong said sighing. “ we are going to announce that we are now apart of your little career” YunHo said looking at my dress. “ what do you mean?” I said squinting. “ You see my Lovely Melanin Queen,” YeoSang started “ We own you... ALL OF YOU. Your now under KQ Entertainment as the First Female to be working with us 24/7....”
I froze...
“That means every second, minute, and hour your ours” WooYoung said. “ You’ll be writing music near us, you’ll be recording music near us, on the road with us, and definitely on set for mvs” San continues.
I heard someone yell. “Y/N we need you on stage now!” I snapped back into focus and turned to look at ATEEZ. I ran towards the stage director and ran on the stage.
My mind racing on so many thoughts.... I’m trapped and there’s no way out of it. Why did my manger allow this? Did he think I wanted to switch over? Did they bad mouth him? Did they threaten him?
.....To be Continued

I used to use "discourse" for serious stuff like talking about racism or misogyny in media when it started showing up, and "wank" for the bullshit that boils down to "how DARE YOU not like my otp/like this guy i dont like" but lately the wank brigade has been coopting the language of like, serious stuff?? To seem more legitimate and to get a strong initial reaction that people cant argue with? For their dumbass ship wars and anti takes. And Ive also been in fandoms where the biggest wank fests came from people who pretended to be poc to start this shit and run anyone who disagreed out of the fandom (most recent one is The Old Guard clusterfuck)
So by now im wary about anyone bringing up racism in fandom the same im wary of misogyny or abuse accusations bc most of the time it IS wank that just waters down the terms in the long run. Sometimes it's for real not wank tho, usually when it's about a more general cross-fandom trend you've got better odds, or it's about how canon is being racist, or when there's back and forth generally good-faith talk, or doesnt read exactly like incendiary anti rants about abuse and pedophilia (which have already gotten watered down to hell in these circles) but with racism instead? but most of the time it's either bringing out the Big Bad Words to hurl at people who dont like your fave or your ship or like the Wrong ones or like, acting like all corners of fandom is the same and whatever the most toxic pits of gamer-bros fandom corner is saying is lurking behind tumblr/ao3 fandom's lesser engagement with female characters. So like. Most of it Is Wank but there's hidden gems in there, just like with all the rest of fandom things.
Like. I trust your tumblr as having a person acting in good faith behind it bc I've seen you around since the witcher doing that, and there's parts of identity where we intersect and im reading as genuine, and so when you bring up points about serious things I'll engage with them even if I end up disagreeing with some of it. Im also aware im going to get some false positives in the tumblrs i block for wank crimes but ive gone down the path of giving everyone the benefit of the doubt and this is vastly better for my mental health.
Gooooood commentary!
I’m at the point where I tend to avoid the “this person is *insert -ism* cuz like you said, yikes, a lot of the time it’s a mess, an inaccurate mess at that, and people flinging around identities they aren’t a part of for woke points (tiktok is a minefield for this shit right now).
I think “discourse” has become one of those words people hear once and decide to fling around for everything. Like problematic, trigger, gaslight, narcissist, the list is so long at this point >.>
(I am cautiously and curiously asking what happened in The Old Guard fandom. Anyone wanna fill me in?)

,,,,okay i know i just said i wasn’t going to talk about the deh movie but actually yeah imma talk about it for just a sec bc y’all actually make me legitimately distressed sajkfndsmjkgds
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLQ_A0H1otc i dont have the braincells to do a shot by shot analysis right now but here’s what we’re lookin at
under a readmore because ghhhhhhh
firstly, let me lead with this: yes, from what we know, there’s a lot of things wrong with this movie.
the worst, in my humble opinion, being the bts treatment of the (very few) actors of color, and the lack altogether of any production team members of color. that’s something that should be acknowledged, talked about, and fucking dug into especially at the current fucking period of time we’re living in. it’s unsurprising, but disgusting nonetheless, and it set this movie up for failure from the very beginning. i’m a white person so by no means so i feel inclined or like i have any authority in saying what one should feel wrt all of that, however i will say if there’s to be a boycott in not watching this movie, that should 100% be the reason why. it’s fully poc’s choice whether or not to forgive the production team or give this movie a chance for the irredeemable shit it did in regards to handling the movie’s production. the movie imo definitely doesn’t deserve their forgiveness, but again, that is not for me to say.
there’s some little things too that i can’t fully think of off the top of my head - like, the whole making larry connor’s stepdad thing fucking irks me, for example, but, like...... listen.
if you know me like at all, you know my favorite word is nuance.
so, i’m going to say it outright: the way you people are approaching this three minute trailer shows literally.... none?? no nuance ??? is it no-nuance november over here or ???? like i’m begging you i’m BEGGING YOU to put aside your pre-determined prejudices against this movie and like stop pretending to be a renowned film critic for ten seconds because it’s really not as outright fucking abysmal as you are saying!! and also it’s possible to have opinions that aren’t completely fucking polarized to one side because guess what, the deh movie? a piece of media! what is the shit y’all are constantly preaching about having the ability to consume media critically ? because you’re trying to cancel a fucking trailer based on the contents of the trailer alone !!!!! hello !!!!!!!!
media is bound to be problematic. if y’all were as quick to judge any movie as you did this one, guess what you wouldn’t be watching any movies like ever <3
anyway lets get into the parts that are probably going to get me cancelled lmao
ben platt - listen. LISTEN. listen i know he’s too old to be reprising evan we ALL know he’s too old to be reprising evan i’ve heard this same argument since the announcement was made we get it we all know. haha he’s a grandpa yes bestie ur so right ur so funny wow. i do agree that we should’ve maybe had a not-ben-platt evan moment but here’s some things to keep in mind: the arguments of “oooh ABF is right there !!!!!!” 1. who’s to say he was available? 2. the environment of a movie is so, SO much different than that of a musical -- as much as you wanna pretend you know everything from just a trailer, there’s no way of knowing what scenes were added that might’ve made the movie like.. idk possibly more intense story-wise not even COUNTING the fact that just inherently a movie set is different than a musical one? like yes ben platt might be just being used as a device but that’s probably not the sole and only reason. Also, if i see One (1) more comment about his FUCKING HAIR 😃 first of all it’s not that deep like... if you’re so distracted by an actor having their hair different that’s on you, but going as far as to call it bad or distracting or being like Vehemently a way about it? y’all i know it’s most likely not your intention but that is literally just ben platt’s natural fuckin ETHNICALLY JEWISH hair sajknfgkjds!!!! i’m not the first to make this point, but like dsjnfkjdsg!??! y’all are being so mean about it and for WHAT? again, maybe not intentional, but it reads as like high key Very antisemetic and you should.... maybe not 😳 be that way
connor. the thing about a trailer is that they don’t show you all the scenes because they want you to come see the movie. right? can we agree on that? all the connor scenes in the trailer had SEVERAL hard cuts, omitting a lot of the scene -- like the computer lab scene! we see the beginning of it, there’s a VERY obvious hard cut, and then he’s running out! in my opinion my first watch through of this trailer i had a very like “:// hmm all these actors feel a lil like dry”, but man oh man the comments ive seen about connor. holy shit guys. this boy gets 7 minutes of stage time in the actual musical, and the whole thing is we DON’T KNOW VERY MUCH ABOUT HIM. not to burst your bubble, and i by no means hate connor, i love me some good connor lives fics and stuff, but everything we write with connor being alive? that is !! speculation on our part !!!! those are headcanons and us using the little context we have!! connor doesn’t have any significant development IN THE SOURCE MATERIAL that is being adapted into a movie !!! you 1. can’t fully judge a character with already limited screentime in a 3 minute trailer, 2. can’t really call what connor has canonically in the musical as in depth character development !! what is his arc then !!!! he pushes evan, goes to the computer lab, has an outcast loner kid moment, gets upset, takes the letter, DIES. sorry stans, that’s just how it is !! and, AND, everything in between, all the idiosyncracies, that depends on the actor playing connor! speaking of, you know who the actor is playing connor in the movie? that’s right, colton ryan! so, i don’t know, maybe... have some trust in the process, in an actor who ALREADY has played connor on broadway???? and also trust that you will get more connor content then u are seeing from a 3 minute trailer!! dhgnijsdg and some of the comments on like his appearance specifically? like are you really made that he doesn’t have long hair?? they kept his nails and his rings but nahhh the hair was apparently a MUST HAVE (even though like.. not all connor actors on broadway always had/have long hair but w/e).. REGARDLESS. tldr on THAT , the movie would have to do a pretty shitty job if they want to take something from someone who doesn’t have much to begin with and i think y’all are being extremely harsh on this point
jared. honestly i’m a bit worried too about the like... name change, because it does have the potential to be taking out some representation, but... they did change the name to fit the actor’s ethnicity? it’s a really [hmm] topic because, again, from a trailer and from what we have been told we don’t KNOW a lot of the context, but i think it’s important to remember that uh.. jewish people aren’t just? always white ?? there’s a possibility they changed the last name to fit with the [ethnicity] while keeping him jewish?? ofc there’s the possibility that they Didn’t and ... again hm that’s its own thing altogether but just reiterates the point that you can’t knock a whole movie just based on the trailer. you can’t talk about things you know nothing about.
alana. same thing as before, you can’t.... completely bash a character based on a 3 minute trailer. there was discussion about how she seemed ‘shy’ when talking to evan, which like.. maybe she is but also that scene was them talking in a library like if u actually take notice of what’s happening in the scene jdskngsd though i do share the general consensus with many others that she won’t get a lot of screen-time but that’s neither here nor there 😔 moving on
scenes and the setting. one of the things i was most like.. tentative about in regards to a switch from a musical to a movie was how they were like... going to do certain scenes? naturally, a lot has to be different when we’re going from a minimal stage set to an entire movie with like.. settings. there are going to be new scenes because a movie lends to have like, physical places that aren’t just [evan’s bedroom] and [murphy kitchen] and [implied school]. so new scenes, new conversations, slightly different pacing.. this is all to be expected right like are y’all geneuinely surprised here or ........
there’s a lot we aren’t seeing yet because this is a TRAILER. again i already mentioned this re: connor but like... again, y’all are making some Claims that just... fucking outlandish. there are so many moments in the trailer that are very obvious Hard Cuts. you don’t have all the information yet. you are angry at a tiny fragment of something that is confusing you because you don’t have all the context. is there a chance that some of this shit is just genuinely Bad? yeah but you really cannot 100000% say it with your chest and gauge it without seeing the movie and understanding what that scene is in context. lowkey uhhh saw some jokes about the zoe scene in the car and :’))) ? jesus? christ????
concluding thoughts because my brain hurts but like. you don’t have to like the movie. you don’t have to WATCH the movie. like all media if you choose to consume the movie you should do so with some CRITICAL THOUGHT. but, just like the novel (and i do not want to have any discussions about that i don’t care if you think it’s good Or bad that’s not what this is about) you guys are going in this WANTING to believe it’s bad and completely polarizing your thoughts on what this is going to be. yeah, maybe there shouldn’t be a movie. i genuinely think we could’ve gone without. but it’s just a piece of media, it’s not a progression like all your (musical is good, novel is bad, MOVIE IS WORSE OH NO) posts are suggesting. they are all just. different pieces of media stemming from a source. at the end of the day it’s just a fucking movie. if you already hate it so much, guess what? you don’t have to watch it! you don’t have to put so much needless fucking hate into a 3 MINUTE TRAILER. you can stop being performative and dissing it for its poor treatment of POC while then going on to make fun of ben platt’s hair and just targeting a different group like! please !!!
i’m not trying to be a fuckin’ advocate for this movie because there’s so much opportunity for it to suck, i do Not have high hopes for it, and i’m not even really sure i want to watch it (i bought the novel when it came out and have yet to read it, and i’m sure the movie will like.. elicit very similar vibes from me lsdngjkdsg like im just not uhhh feeling it) but y’know what? watching the trailer did not bring forth the fucking onslaught of hatred in me that apparently has fuckin posessed all of y’all and like djnsgjksdg plagued my dashboard for this whole evening. don’t come into my inbox trying to like.. argue with me about this (preemptively im turning off anon because i like i Can’t lmao) this is just like... a rant i needed to get out of me real quick.
SO. tldr for now: have critical thought about shit you consume, there’s no ethical consumption under [the film industry], you can’t judge a movie entirely on its trailer, and y’all need to calm the fuck down

native based rant
kay so it makes me really mad when white people openly admit to cruising through life and not giving a shit about it, like oh yeah i am on easy mode and i hardly put effort into my life or my job or my friendships because i dont need to.
bro do u have any idea how that sounds to native folk?? or POC in general?? . i didn't even grow up on the rez but the struggles i keep having are very much race based when they arent gender related, and even that has ties to my poeple. two spirit. i can only imagine how native folk on the rez feel when they hear stuff like this.
and dont get me started on how we are rich from casinos" like . actually don't. if your question is r u mad then the answer is fuck yea im mad. the amount of effort my people put in is hardly noticed compared to the general pop of white people who proudly flaunt that they don't really have to do anything to have a life.
akita mani yo. stop acting and wake up. listen and observe all around you, or dont. pretend you don't matter in the grand scheme but i can promise you, you do matter. you are so important so stop acting and wake up!!! take control of your life, in small or big ways, does not matter. just try to care wouldja?

Warning: you may want to stop reading here if you really like the book of boba fett series.
Because i just hate them that much, this blog is anti colorful biker gang from book of boba fett. Fucking ew, you're going to thrust those tough guy wannabes in my face and they me theyre scrappy, lovable rebels stealing water for the good of the people? They look like a bunch of rich kids who want to spend a weekend pretending to be heroes and use that water they stole to wash their rainbow bikes.
And their aesthetic looks like if you dropped power rangers into the Mad Max world, which is jarring, awkward and annoying to see.
I stopped watching the episode when boba got thrown around by Black Kryssantan like a ragdoll and had to have his naked ass saved by cookie cutter strong independant white leader girl of the biker gang with a tiny knife. Yes everyone can make all the reasonable, rational, absolutely believable theories on why Boba is so weak and pathetic now but this doesnt change the fact that at almost every chance possible, Boba is getting his ass kicked and being bailed out not by his smarts, cunning nor extensive weaponry, but instead some rando I dont care about and have no reason to.
Maybe boba isnt that strong anymore and can no longer kill wookies to wear on his armor. Ok fine, but that doesnt excuse the many other ways he could turn the fight to his favor! He was trained by his father since his age was in the single digits to hold his own against enemies bigger and stronger than him, its not all brute force and physical strength, its also battle tactics and mastery of the weapons he has.
I wanted to like this show because it had one of the coolest star wars character with two leading POCs, but now I feel like I'm supposed to like this show despite its poor plot, poor writing, shit characterization and flat humor just because it sprinkles in representation. Representation alone doesnt make a show good or interesting.
On that note, its all very well and good that Boba embraced the tuskens culture and bonded with them over it, but his complicated relationship with Mandalorian culture is still left unexplored and is seemingly forgotten, never to be brought up. Those two cultures are not interchangable at all, just similar, and it feels off to have so much focus on Boba's relationship with Tusken culture and not his Mandalorian origins. Not to mention his complicated relationship with the clones, Bo Katan denying his heritage (like fans saying the fetts arent real mandos) and his lowkey unhealthy devotion to his dead father.
All that potential drama about being imprisoned as a preteen, clawing his way to the top of the bountu hunter chain, people seeing him as "a clone Jango regarded as a son" instead of "Jango's son", physcological torment from the sarlacc, his relationship history with Jabba, Han Solo and Darth Vader himself? A humongous goldmine of story to explore and you give me this, Rodriguez???? Power Ranger biker gang????
