paramore - been around alot longer than lvjy, and has a feel like lvjy + a woman lead band! sorry - also has a similar feel, created by two best friends! destroy boys - going on tour soon, and has a very grunge-y feel that some ex-fans could enjoy! los campesinos - also an older band, openly supports palestine, and really just good people + still making music arctic monkeys - i don't know much about AM, but i know lots of ex-fans have enjoyed them in the past, and they make good music the killers - ive been a fan of the killers for a extremely long time, and like all the others, they sound the same as lvjy, somewhat. they ARE better, though. the strokes - i also dont know Alot about the strokes, but from what ive heard, pretty good, silmiar to most bands ive put franz ferdinand - has a more 2000s rock feel, much like the killers or arctic monkeys cage the elephant - kindof folk punk? older band peach pit - HUGE fan of peach pit. genuinely, all their shit goes hard as fuck. good kid - same feel as lovejoy, but the members arent complete dickheads, and their songs sound different foster the people - ya remember that one band that made the song about a gun? yea, this is them

ZERO callback to the pizzeria at all like it has the exact opposite affect as the book. n like, the entire thing is like this lol. the dialogue flow sucks, the visuals r so unrefined i can recall every mistake in coloring etc in my head rn(and every single one is on the rabbit lmao💀) n the panelling even is so. :/ eugh

it wouldnt even be that bad to me if it was just one or two of these, like i could be more forgiving to the art if the dialogue actually gripped me. and i could forgive the dialogue if the art did more of the legwork for storytelling but together it just makes for a very very sadly bad comic.

this is the main issue w the comic to me, the dialogue doesnt grip me but the artwork also is too timid to take charge and lead the story either. they dont really work together or individually to the benefit of eachother.

i dont want to make it seem like i dont appreciate the work that was done here tho, Didi Esmeralda and Eva De La Cruz did a excellent job for what it was. comics arent easy by any means, and even if its not to my tastes i do not want to knock the work they did, literally everything except the rabbit was decent i think this is just another case of non furry artists drawing for furry franchises ejekndjndjdjd

Part of the the world is having more fun than me (tonight) series.

The firelight danced along the too-green grass, casting mesmerizing shadows along the ground. The sun had long set, leaving only the black sky and the millions of stars visible this far away from the city. Music thumped from someone’s truck, but Danny wasn’t paying attention to it. He couldn’t. There were much more important things to pay attention to.

Like the way Mateo looked in the firelight.

His skin, already so warm, practically glowed in a way entirely different from the way Danny’s did, human and ethereal and impossible to keep his hands off of. The flickers of the flames sent shadows dancing across his face, smoothing away the little scar on his cheekbone, deepening the dimple in the corner of his smile. Danny leaned in and kissed said dimple, drawing Mateo’s lazy smile to him.

“What?” he laughed, tilting his head back to look up at his boyfriend.

And his eyes. Danny had never seen a human’s eyes glow the way Mateo’s did in the firelight. It was hypnotic. They never failed to draw him in. Unable to put words to the mountain of affection clamoring in his Core, he leaned down to press a soft kiss to the edge of Mateo’s mouth.

“Cariño?”

“Nothin’, just thinking about how pretty you look right now,” he murmured, kissing a line down his jaw to his neck. Mateo giggled and shoved at his shoulder.

“You’re drunk, fantasmito.”

“I resent that,” Danny huffed, straightening up so he could look at Mateo as his eyes slowly shaded teal, a smile tugging at his lips. “I think about how pretty you are when I’m sober too.”

Danny couldn’t help how wide his grin was when Mateo threw his head back to laugh. Danny curled his arm around Mateo’s waist and hauled him into his lap, caging him in with both arms, tucking his chin over his shoulder.

“Eugh, can you guys not be so disgustingly cute?” Tucker asked as he flopped onto the grass next to Danny. Sam sat with more grace on his other side. “Some of us are still woefully single. We can’t all get lucky with our roommates, y’know.”

“Tucker, you’re straight. And your roommate is as straight as Georgia makes ‘em,” Danny said with a laugh. Tucker grumbled something that sounded like still. Sam reached around Danny to slug his shoulder, which quickly devolved into a typical Sam-and-Tucker argument about… nothing in particular.

Mateo tilted his head back so his lips were pressed to Danny’s ear. “Do they even know?”

Danny didn't acknowledge Mateo directly; he just grinned and tightened his arms around him, pressing his face into his neck. His friends could be clueless about their relationship all they wanted. He just wanted to bask in this moment with his boyfriend while he could.

im not a nutritionist, not by a long stretch, but when im having my Bad Food Days related to my ED (bc i also have them related to autism and also to adhd.) and i dont want to eat but i know i have to put stupid food in my stupid body, my go to's are Nutrition, Protein, and if i can swing em, Meal Replacement Shakes.

Protien shakes are good because when even my safest of safe meat foods isnt gonna cut it, ill at least have something that will keep me full longer. Nutrition is good for just "eugh im hungry i might be able to eat later but rn i just Cant i might as well get SOME kinda vitamins and shit" which is specific but hey it covers a broad base with the nutrients! And Meal Replacement Shakes? My mother in law had a botched stomach surgery so eating is really hard some days and liquids is all she can do. Meal replacement shakes help her feel full and actually cover enough nutrients that they can be used once every day or so. However...theyre expensive.... Anyways i hope this...helps?

Food Shakes are relatively sweet, come in a few flavors that end up being like, fine. Not delicious but fine. (chocolate, caramel, strawberry and vanilla for nutrition and meal replacement, WAYYY more for protien shakes, plus available in more places and you can make your own). With the exception of proten shakes (theyre ysually too thick imo) you usually can pound the shakes in one go so you spend less time eating them. and well, theyre fine to use. Id figure out a good amount to work them in, dont use them everyday, scatter, esp the meal replacement ones bc theyre Spensive. Uhhhh thats my best pitch.

i would rather starve than drink a shake. thats like one of my top ten worst textures.

Lilac had a point, though. Shang Mu was full of busy bodies and shady messes and whatever, and that little mayor dude or whatever was STUPID LOADED. If not for the Scarves then it'd probably be her number one choice every single day.

Especially since she still wore her scarf--Carol especially would be a target. She didn't like taking it off, it felt too... weird? It's not like she couldn't do it, especially if it it was for her. But MAN just the thought of getting found out by those stupid scarfed fuckers sent chills down her spine.

Eugh. This was the worst. Hated by everyone, liked by no one, not even their criminal ''friends'' could give them an advantage here.

She thought about it for a long moment. She wasn't usually the thinking type. A lot of times her mind said to her ''just do the palace thing dont even bother with her plan'', but it didn't feel right. Length didn't bother her--they could outrun anyone. Or outdrive, in Carol's case. Stealing from some rich prick definitely didn't bother her. It was just the Scarves. She did not want to deal with it. She couldn't. One bad move and they'd get swamped and oh stones what if Spade's there too and...

She took off her scarf, folding it up neatly and pocketing it. Rubbed around her neck, stones it felt really really cold. It's been awhile since she's taken that thing off.

"Good ol' Lilac, always thinkin' smarter, huh. That mayor ain't gonna know what hit 'em when we get there!" She flashed a bright grin on her face, hands placed on the back of her neck.

"When we goin'? Now? We should go now!" She was eager, but with a tinge of nervousness to her. Couldn't help it, as much as she tried. But the Scarves weren't anythin', right? Way easier dealing with a bunch of punk criminals than people from the Royal Palace, right???

She placed a hand over her face and sighed deeply at Carol’s obvious excitement, she always got like this. Sometimes she wondered if it was the idea of doing something illegal or the challenge. But it was sort of endearing, at the same time as well. Moments like these would cling in her mind for years to come, and she’d hold onto them for all she was worth.

“ The Palace? Carol that’s… a bold move even for us…”

She had to pause to consider it, unlike Carol didn’t jump at the first idea. She liked options, and to carefully consider those options and the consequences. In a way she was the conscience of the two. 

“ The Palace might get us in bigger trouble, if they catch us it won’t be a slap on the wrist. “

She looked deep in thought, Carol’s idea wasn’t terrible but it was the backlash after that worried Lilac. But she did have another idea, one that would carry risks as well but perhaps more manageable risks.

“ What about Shang Mu? I know its Scarf territory, but i heard the Mayor there is super rich. He wouldn’t miss some Gems if we swiped them, and we wouldn’t stick out as much in that city. Its a long trip, but if things did go backwards we could use Shang Tu territory as a sanctuary of sorts. The soldiers won’t follow us into Shang Tu Lands, which gives us a safe place to come back to… “

“ I just worry if we hit the palace, that they’ll send a whole hunting party into the forest after us. The last thing we need is them to find our tree house… probably safer despite dealing with the scarves… either option is still pretty risky. But what do you think? “
