People need to stop calling every sighthound a borzoi!! That greyhound is Not A Borzoi! That saluki is Not A Borzoi! That silken windhound is Not A Borzoi and that whippet especially is NOT A Borzoi!!!!!!

#sorry i am a dog breed nerd and lose my mind when someone sees any sighthound ever and goes WOW A BORZOI #borzois have a very distinct look!! how do you even see a greyhound and think its a borzoi!! aaaaa!!#also this is just me being dumb but i kind of hate when any dog breed becomes a meme #because it always leads to people who know nothing about dogs wanting a dog of that specific breed #for the love of god do not buy a shiba if you dont know anything about them. theyre not a beginner breed #and for the love of god DONT buy a borzoi thats not an easy breed for beginners either. a big sighthound like that is a disaster if you #dont know anything about it #and DONT BUY WOLFDOGS !!! if you for some reason really need a dog thats like 15 percent wolf please live in an area thats suitable for it #wolfdogs have gotten the reputation of being just cooler looking dogs but those wolf genes do matter a LOT.#theyre cool but i just. wouldnt trust them like youd trust any big dog. sorry.#i visited a wolfdog sanctuary kind of place once and they had wolfdogs that were originally kept in apartments in HELSINKI!!! and then #rescued to live somewhere around Kittilä #grrr please be realistic about what dogs you are capable of keeping #its fine to just get a poodle or a lab or a german shepherd or a shi tzu #theres a reason theyre popular. theyre quite beginner dog owner friendly and very trainable
