no but ive only read a tell tale heart from the real author but just from that,,,i dont think poe would be very normal abt relationships especially with ranpo......i didnt finish perfume by patrick suskind (got kinda bored not bc it's bad but bc i just found something i like more ) but the secretive and quiet but extreme obsession of the main character reminded me so much of poe??? and i think i read somewhere that the real ranpo chose edogawa rampo as a penname because it sounds so much like edgar allan poe and even rampo's book title is like poe’s right it only added japanese at the beginning before the ‘tales of mystery and imagination’ so it's not rlly far off that their bsd counterparts would totally be paranoid and intense w each other <333

i think telltale heart is a good example of poe's writing tbh, his works often revolve around obsession and delusion but also with grief if you look at "the raven" for example (especially his poems are about grief and death a lot so)

i've not read perfume but i know the general plot i think and yeah it probably fits well

AND YES edogawa rampo chose this pen name partly bc of edgar allan poe, he also references poe's works in his mysteries which is fun!! both of them also partly write horror, especially edogawa rampo's works shook me to the core, it's so well-written but also so disturbing, i wouldn't recommend them just like that bc of body horror and uhh fetish writing ig? but the cases of akechi kogoro are also so fun to read as well and you can actually try and solve the mystery yourself!!

ANYWAYS, this was a lot of praising lol, i just really really love both of their works :D and these works are also part of why i think they're both fucked up in the head lol

he had a drug or alcohol problem after he lost to ranpo - the guild giving him an opportunity to get revenge motivated him enough to mostly recover though

poe has some really dark fantasies and sometimes he lets it slip during crime investigations - ranpo doesn't mind, he's even amused

ranpo also secretly loves it when poe brags

ranpo and poe started stalking each other (maybe even since the beginning) until one of them realised and send a very clear signal that the other couldn't miss and since then they've been flirting via sending secret messages in a language only they know to each other - basically consensual stalking (yes i'm completely normal)(also i haven't decided who realised first but it was probably ranpo - i love the thought of ranpo getting all flustered too tho)

poe didn't only lose to ranpo in that mystery game. he also lost his reputation, his friends, his admirers. there was more going on there, they probably met before the competition and they were intrigued by each other before it all went downhill

when poe isolated himself he only had contact to his brother who desperately tried to get him out of his headspace. but he himself isn't the best at having stable relationships + he's also an alcoholic (inspired by irl poe's brother henry)

they're both incredibly jealous and do anything to keep the others attention on them (ranpo giving candy to poe to get his attention back, poe being pretty dramatic and acting up a lot, also obeying every wish ranpo has)

ranpo must have told poe about fukuzawa and fukuchi for him to be able to write about their past for when they were drawn into his novel - so that means they actually sat together and talked about their past. which is insane to me

Ra/muda get these terrible fits that can render him useless for several minutes. Hitching, false starts, nose twitching, fanning his face, the works.

His natural sneeze leads some of his natural voice to come out, so he tends to stifle to keep that at bay lmao. Usually pinch stifles, but can do it hands free if needed

Istg i am so tense today 💀

So yesterday was Friday. Its Saturday morning here rn, btw. And some of my friends werent coming to college due to personal reasons. Now because everyone is usually busy in their work, no one has time to send the notes from the classes, so they told everyone to take the day off. Our Fridays are shorter days btw.

Being the head girl of the college, i tried to stop them cuz it might get us in trouble. But they didnt listen, so everyone was taking the day off. So i also thought that there is no reason to go to the college cuz no ones coming. So no one came, as planned.

EXCEPT ONE GIRL. She advertised the plan of not coming to college to everyone on our insta group, and then she just backed out. We thought that it was ok as long as she didnt tell anyone.

BUT THEN WHAT HAPPENED? We get a message from the teachers, saying that the parents have to tell the reason why everyone except that girl came. We panicked a bit but we all had our excuses. We decided not to message the teacher and just tell our excuses on Monday.

And thats where it all came crashing down. We just got a message, like 5 mins before the time i am writing this, that our whole class except that girl will be heavily penalized because we 'lied to our parents about the day being off' and 'breaking the college discipline code'. Btw we never lied to our parents.

Anyways, we found out that THAT GIRL SNITCHED ON US, SENT OUR CHAT'S SCREENSHOTS TO THE PRINCIPAL, AND GOT OUT OF THE PLAN LIKE SHE WAS NEVER INVOLVED. Mind you, if her parenyts had agreed to let her take the day off, she would never have come to school. And she was so unapologetic too. Like i get that we werent all innocent, but snitching and throwing everyone under the bus is so wrong 😭😭😭

I never liked that girl tbh. She fails her classes, she is not good at any extra curriculars, she is a wannabe teachers pet. And she visits the washroom 10 times a day idk why. Thats suspicious, if you ask me.

He was wearing a black smoking, and his hair pulled back into a bun, a light thread of eyeliner and a such a reassuring expression.

Your eyes lit up, and your heart started beating faster.

"I HAVE FOUND THE SOLUTION" you yelled, and just when you looked up, you found Mitsuya that was staring at you and smiling softly.

He took you by the hand, and led you to the roof of an abandoned building. From there you could see a beautiful sunset and there was a large tarp filled with snacks and drinks.

They were beautiful white gloves, exactly your size.

It was such a busy day that you didn't even have a second to dedicate to yourself, even though it was your birthday.

Also, your boyfriend hadn't written or called you, maybe he just forgot about it you tought. As soon as you got home, you were very tired, but a delicious smell of pizza invaded your nostrils. You followed the perfume and in the kitchen you found Chifuyu that was cooking

"here at your table, I hope you like it" and as a gentelman, he married the chair for you to sit on.

" It took me a while, but I'm pretty sure all your favorite foods are there," he said, stammering slightly and now his face was very red.

And you two continued to eat, it was all very good and all your favorite dishes were on that table<3

As soon as you finished, he ran to get a small box. "Well, since today is your birthday I got this for you. Close your eyes please."

You did what he said and felt warm hands moving your hair. To put you a necklace.

As soon as you opened your eyes you saw yourself in a mirror, it was such a beautiful necklace

after this spending more time outside classes, sharing lunch etc. one day after class he sees u leaving instead of staying for library, u say u will join a gig. he invites himself to it basically. it's a gig of kazu and his band. kazu is... shocked to say the least when he sees scara next to u right at the front row. u introduce scara to kazu and the rest of the band (xiao, venti, aether)...

(implied time skip) scara joins u more often to ur friends outings. one day u straight walk behind the scene n he's confused. u explain normally u help them w makeup etc before gigs. cue a not so obviously jealous scara when you do xiao's eyeshadow.

xiao and scara bonding over their irritation at childe (scara just dislikes the guy, xiao hates that he keeps flrting w his dad/older brother. i ddint decide if zhongli will be a father figure or older brother, leaning towards the latter)

venti organizes a party, scara joining as well. he insists on drinking games, to which everyone ignores until alte hours. u explain to scara thats how it always goes. he makes a comment abt the tense air as u both r in the kitchen preparing drinks, u say "probably because we are the only single people here." it may b at the end of this chapter that u two share a kiss at the end of the night, then fr the followng week, u avoid him

implied more parties/going out. u "crying over" the news of yanfei "the elle woods wannabe???" (venti laughing in th bg: ehehe yeah they were crshing on her hard). going out to a pub w venti hu tao and yanfei, scara goes for a breath of fresh air. as hu tao and yanfei buy drinks, u mumble about wishing a love like theirs, venti says smt along the lines of u already having that and "havent you seen how that puppet looks at you" before u can ask what he meant, scara comes back, swinging an arm over the back of the cushions/ur shoulders, youre tense bc of ventis comment, "hey you alright?" "were you smoking?" "last i checked, i didnt need your permission for what to do." (he excuses himself, and comes back a minute later smelling of perfume, supressing the scent of smoke lmao)

u receive an untitled email w no attachment whatsoever to ur personal email address saying "he's not who he says he is" (or "who he acts he is") u drop the topic tho it unnerves u.

during one of the friend getaways u were leaving in a hurry, refusing to give a clear answer to what it was, scara offered to drive u, u only allowed him til a certain point. kazuha is worried bc u two always shared ur lives w the other. anyways theres nt much of a mystery u are seeing a therapsit but dont wanna explain why u started in the first place, only ningguang knows.

i think another party or beach house type of getaway but w ur friendgroup. esp u and venti get drunk on the night of arrival, waking up w a hangover, meanwhile kazu urges everyone to join him for a morning scretching/sport to freshen. scara rolls his eyes yet is the only one to keep up to kazu, until ur voice draws his attention. "you traitor! i cannot believe you didnt even tell me" snatching a thermos from ventis hands, u start drinking it, kazuha just groans: "mother was right, you are a bad influence" he says abt venti "um excuse me! give credit where its due, he only thought of that bc i yelled it to his face and suggested a good thermos." you say. (unless its clear, the thermos contains of a cold alcoholic drink) scara snatches the thermos from ur hands basically and u have to join the rest w morning jogging. the beachhouse thingy ends w u and scara walking side by side by the shore, u psuhing him tot he water and he grabs ur wrist, pulling u with him. cue simp mode scara pov when u both reemerge and he thinks under the full moonlight youre the mst beaut,ful thing he ever sees.

scara shows up to kazu one day asking advice regarding u, while holding a cat. kazu sighs, seeing scara wont leave, he opens the door n lets him in. some muttering abt how he's awful if he is trying to learn abt u to change how he acts bc a relationship based on a faked identity is no-no then he mumbles "well lucky for you you dont need to o much as their type seems to include [idr what exact phrase i had for this srry but he was basically insulting scara]", then beaten to curiosity, kazu asks whats up w the cat and scara holds the cat out to kazu "dont you think it looks like him (tomo)" (the cat is sand colored) "it followed me all the way to ur place"

some event for children of big names, for the first time (in years?) you and kazu will attend. scara is basically ur partner for it. at the beginning u push away the wine served (catered by dawn winery) (again a line i dont rmr but u insult the wine, claiming dandelion wine isnt even real wine or smt??) at one point interviwerers snatch u and scara away separetely, u get away a lot sooner, as u wait by the window, u can see the reflection of red hair, turning your back, u walk to his direction (away) and whisper "i hope you have found the closure you were desperately looking for" before diluc can say a thing, scara shows up w a hand on your waist "darling, there you are. what a bore it is here, why dont we go to that place you've been wanting to check out?" idk probs gonna spend the night w scara and sleep tgt, he gets... lowkeyish possesive during it lol... (just basking in the knowledge that he has u more than the other 'sore losers' ever did? or smt like that. idk could make more sense if in ur past 'relationship' w diluc u both always used a condom type of protection while w scara its penetrative sex basically.)

probably that night or the next, still at scaras, as it gets darker one drink afteranother u bth r more or less drunk, him more than u. then bfore realizing, he starts going on this weird rampant, his words making no sense: "u know i hate(d) you right? never got why ppl love u or ur brother so much. perfect children of perfect beidou and ningguang, beloved by everyone, beloved by their mothers, their friends" basically slurring speech and kinda revealing he first 'befriended' u w the intentions of having fun/messing w u since despite being 'perfect' u looked so lonely (and that 'im nt doing that' commen got him pissed. "who goes around calling people 'that' huh) scara rant goes on abt how he had to go fall for both perfect siblings "wow what a joke huh" and a little "i dont even get why im like this nowadays. idek why i rushed that way to get those notes and drove at 200kph to get back to the library for u" (basically drunk scara more or less jealous of u and kazu, emotional management problems, problems of realizing he has emotions, also it clicks to u that the guy kazu hated in his hs is scara)

scara wakes up to an empty bed, unable to contact u. it was at the end of the term so any excuse he uses to see u, they fail. rumors of u joiing ning for an internship, he tries to see u, only to be met w security. (he may or may not throw rpcks at the door like that cat tiktok. security dialing u/ning, scara in the bg "open the door or ill throw rocks at ur window" "u already are!" "i mean ur bedroom window" "wh-HOW DO U KNOW WHERE I LIVE". scara tries to reach out to kazu bc he is clueless why he is being ignored (he was VERY drunk, while his words sobered u up like a slap) kazu: politely tells him to fuck off.

scara finds a way in bc ei and ning wll have a meeting n scara pulls the elder child/shareholder card to insert himslf to the meeting, lil sister raiden is Not happy "i can become ceo long before you can so suck it up already". scara and u staring down at one anıther during the meeting, "talking" at the end, basically having to pull the curtains down bc the offices may be soundproof but theyre still made of glass n everyone can se eu two fight. then scara says to at least allow him to help u, sayng he knows abt the weird email u got and someone might b trying to frighten or corner u to give up ur shares.

idk basically working tgt w scara to find out who did it. he suspects one of the "harbingers". "arent you a harbinger as well?" "i keep my shares as a powermove, i dont want anything to do w their stupid company." so idk either dottore or childe gonna b the one who was mpre or less creeping u w the emails (u did receive more after ur breakapart w scara).

as i said the bits from drunk past confessions forward r fairly new so i dont have everything planned but basically u... more or elss tolerate scara (dont forgive him entirely) and he gotta work thru his issues basically (aka accepts that he has issues aaand hes kind of a simp, hes desperate to be loved lmao)

3. What ideas come from when you were little

a lot! i love including things like crt tvs and old electronics because im obsessed with how things like that age (as well as the nostalgia). something abt the decay of something that is supposed to be accurate and the most realistic we could get at the time gets me. also i have a tendency to think of electronics as friends of mine so vhs tapes, camcorders, crt tvs and flip phones are all just Guys My Age yknow. also i tend to heavily relate to characters with similar childhoods to mine so really even my fanart is abt it. we love projection!

5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself

uh ummmm. i do studies that i dont usually post bc theyre studies. also oc stuff? but i post most finished (read: colored) fanart i find. maybe 40 percent i dont post but theyre mostly bc theyre unfinished or specifically for studying.

yeas i love listening to music. i cant usually pay attention to podcasts or like. new music while drawing tho so i stick to artists i know.

im gonna shoot a lotta words at u that are going to make me sound like i have like. refined taste in music but upfront im just gonna say its mostly mcr. its mostly mcr remember that.

i love emo and slowcore and dream pop and shoegaze a lot. i really loved indie and folk as a high schooler and still do. i think my favorite artists rn that i started listening to semi recently are rainer maria, placebo, wishing, and drive45. old favs are the staves, tiny ruins, haley heynderickx, fleet foxes, perfume genius, daughter, pup, andrew bird. etc etc popular 2010s indie u get it. anyway. that was probably way too detailed ah well.

Havent said anything abt perfume in so long bc ive been uh unwell but im coming out of it again i think.

Im interested in getting into florals, sth i started thinking abt in late spring. I want a green, wet, vegetal flower. Ive been enjoying Sublime Balkiss by the different company, but idk that it isnt too expensive for what it is. Lasts very little and ultimately it is just kinda a friendly fruity floral. sometimes i think that i just need to make life easier for myself and look into womens designer scents, but then i look at the reviews for Sublime Balkiss and people are like sharp green unisex different. And im like ah ok lol. Really interested in exploring tom ford's Vert Boheme, and that whole vert series in general, tho maybe its discontinued? And also fucking tom ford lmao. Fwiw i have actually tried Vert de Fleur during my last attempt at getting into flowers, and its not really it for me, feels like a sun-dried late summer steppe weeds + lipstick, the opposite kinda flowers from what im looking for. Funnily enough a lot of the reviews are calling it dark, fresh and dewy, which just goes to show that none of these words mean anything to me. (Having washed some of it off and waited a couple hours its much less unpleasant but still not what im looking for. dry bouquet herbal soap vibes)

De Profundis remains the untouchable fantasy BUT Amouage Myths woman seems to go to a similar green-earthy-floral well, while Myths man also has chrysanthemum and is supposed to be smoky which is intriguing (tho apparently also features prominent iris and is generally resinous and leathery). So time to reconsider Amouage perhaps. I occasionally revisit the samples i have and still cant really get into them but they are quite different from each other and idk that its their intrinsic dna that i dont get along with. Also given where de profundis comes from ive decided to stop being such a bitch about serge lutens, and maybe look into them for florals.

When i last thought abt perfume a couple months back I was considering making some purchases this autumn as a reward for hopefully defeating work demons, but im actually gonna be spending money on a trip and some things to do w that, which is a lot more valuable than perfume. However now i also want perfume as well. And idk id like to maybe not accumulate a million samples so i ought to go through what i have and really think about the hows and whys of my perfume experience. When i was depressed just now i still wore perfume every day but really didnt engage w the variety i have access to. I dont think i want to be the single signature fragrance person just bc my one perfume would be vierges et toreros and i cant do that to people, certainly not in the middle of summer lmao. But maybe i can have like... 4. Maybe 9. Fwiw i think ive resolved my search around leathers and animalics and am not interested in trying any more after having found my beloved few, even though some are completely inaccessible to me. Maybe i could write sth up about them. What feels very unresolved to me is fruits, my first big unexpected interest in perfume. Ive tried so many and rn i think i dont like any of them! My fucking samples store shopping cart is full of figs aside from flowers but maybe i should really think about whats wrong w the ones i have. I was gonna do a post abt the fruits as well and was reminded of it just now having had a bad time trying to wear Fig Man.

Anyway i dont think ill buy anything for now regardless, thankfully im good at not spending money. But i will try to have my perfume thoughts.

She confronts you sooner than later, awkward in the hand she rests at your elbow, but gentle and imploring all the same. The scent of lotus floats over her skin, a perfume that calms you, and she inclines her head quietly.

“Stronger together, correct?” She grasps your forearm, her skin cool and dry. She wills herself to not pry any further than you will allow her, her chi floating like a lily pad on the surface of your thoughts. “I am on your side, regardless. If you need me, then I will be here."

Go Ro is sensitive to suffering, given his occupation, and is especially so to yours, since you are always so near. Before long, he has pulled you to the side, his eyebrows drawn and his mouth a thin line--a tense expression that allows no argument, but the usual heat is not there. His eyes hold no fire this time, none for you at least, just softened gold that flickers when you meet them.

"I will not interfere if you do not want me to." He speaks calmly, but there is no indifference in how he looks at you, so intense and yet without flame, searching for something he can heal. Spider takes a while to act, trusting in your decision, but he keeps a close eye on you regardless. As time passes though and your silence holds, his budding concern blooms full, and eventually, his hands find themselves on your waist--not to trap you, just enough to get your attention--and then they leave, hovering carefully.

"Everything alright?" His voice likewise skims over your cheek. He grins when you look at him, his affection is plain, more open than usual, fizzing like stardust in the air between you. "Call me if you need me, Fireball. We fight together, yeah?"

hiiiiiiiiii~ ngl i was like: 😵😵😵 when i received tumblr notifications in regards to me getting anon mssgs bc i get anxious abt getting mssgs here still (((+ i turned my ask off, afaik))) hehu BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH 🦋💖🙆‍♀️ uhm, tbh, i did everything in my power today to still be able to look in the mirror and see myself as someone beautiful bc i know how ~hormones~ could eff up my mood most of the time. i just know that it's possible that one of these days im gonna start nitpicking things that i dont like abt myself so i rlly gave myself some extra love today — i pushed with my routine, did a meditation that focuses on positive energy and a yoga sesh to lessen the ~pain~ im feeling, took extra time in the shower, did my hair care routine, used my fave body wash 😌 i even sprayed my fave perfume around my room. lol. so there, basically, i put in the extra work to really feel better amidst my body reacting to medication, pms-ing, and whatnot.
