EXPERIENCE/HOW MANY YEARS?: i started out when i was about. 13-14? deep in the facebook roleplay groups. made a lot of friends out of that and then migrated over to tumblr in 2016, left for a bit in 2019 and just came back this past year :D

FLUFF, ANGST, OR SMUT?: i love fluff the most!! but i do love a good angst thread every now and again. i dont typically write a lot of smut, and if i do, it’ll only be with friends that im really comfortable with. no ifs, ands, or buts.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES?: generally at least a couple paragraphs, tho i sometimes can only manage an itty bitty reply. BUT if im really into the thread, it’s gonna be at least 4-5 paragraphs MIN.

PET PEEVES?: i dont think i have a ton. probably when plotting feels really one sided (not that i do a ton of plotting but when i do). and!! when its obvious that someone hasnt read my rules or at least, taken them into consideration at all without talking to me first.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE?: other than the shopping addiction?? not so much lmao annie is definitely not really anything like me and im not anything like her. i do like pink tho.

TIME TO WRITE?: definitely nighttime, or really really early in the morning like. 3-4am.

thoughts about KH before i got into it:

for some reason i was under the impression that the games were about a boy who has dreams about disney worlds. and he has regular size feet in the real world and only has big feet in the dream world. i also think he traveled with mickey and not donald or goofy

also for some reason i was under the impression that ventus was sora's dad. it was not until i actually watched the cutscenes in birth by sleep and saw lea and isa that i realized OH. this is NOT as far back on the timeline as i thought it was

images of a spiky red boy and a spiky blond boy and a black haired depressed girl eating ice cream together with lots&lots of people sobbing in the replies. (REALLY emphasized the slow creeping emotional dread of that game for me. like golly i sure hope i dont get emotionally destroyed like all those other people! and then i , was)

when i was in middle/high school i had friends who were super into it, but i was never able to play it because my parents had a policy of No Consoles. we were allowed to have handhelds, though, because my family took frequent road trips, so when i found out that there was a KH game for DS i said to a friend "oh, cool! dyou think id be able to play it without playing the other games?" and she looked at me, and looked at her copy of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and said "........no"

only ~15 years later do i realize how funny of a question that was

thoughts about KH as i was getting into it:

last year my husband listened to a podcast called "lore dump" where people explain the lore of different media to each other, and they did an episode/series on kingdom hearts, and i heard some pretty WaCkY sTuFf (i specifically remember them explaining what the recusant's sigil is, in the context of xigbar explaining that they'd been tracking sora and riku through the story of DDD)

found a vod of one of my favorite streamers streaming 1 and 2 to benefit abortion rights in texas, and i was like, well, here's my chance, heh, im gonna understand all of the WaCkY LoRe

i start up the stream. within the first 15 minutes i Get it. like it feels very dated in a lot of ways but i instantly understood what made people connect so strongly with this series. even as someone who didn't grow up with any attachment to it, and was a little put off of it even by how into it my friends were, to me kh1 is just pure high octane nostalgia. the tone is so specific and warm and bittersweet. i cried multiple times during the ending. it just really got to me! i was hooked!

when i fixate on a media property i like to have a hot person to chew on. i really. really thought it was gonna be axel. he is exactly the kind of character i would've fixated on when i was younger, when i had friends who were into KH. older mentor figure character who takes younger characters under his wing. associated with fire. projects brash confidence. k,ills people. he's a really good character! i love him a lot! every time he appears on screen i get on all fours and start barking! and there's all this fanart and merch and...then i got distracted......

19. How about a relationship they have in canon that you don't like?

for kon. well that's pretty obvious huh. stares at tana moon. stares at rex leech. stares at tana moon some more. stares at rex leech some more. You... Are Mother Fuckers .

for tim... hmmm. hard to say exactly because i DO like a lot of tim's relationships with other characters, romantic and otherwise. i guess i might go with tim and ari's relationship just in that it felt very flat to me? dixon has this issue where he knows how to write two kinds of girls: the one he likes (steph) and everyone else. and ari and tim's relationship was so... like do yall even LIKE each other? dixon's perception of "girl and boy" is so like teenage version of "ha ha the ol ball and chain" boomer jokes that i was just so deeply uninterested in them as a pair. with a writer who wasnt dixon tho im sure they couldve been better and ari could have had an actual personality

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

man whatever it was, it was like probably close to 10 years ago and i sure dont remember. @loisinherlane got me interested in kon i blame her for everything about where i am today. she's been into comics far longer than me, and i guess... hmmm. i watched the first two(?) seasons of yja in like 2016 and mentioned that to her and i think she was like no rimi this is the cooler conner kent look at him and i was like oh he DOES look funky fresh and fun! but then i only actually started reading comics myself in 2022, so until then all the comics guys were blorbo-in-laws.

i DO actually remember the very first time anyone mentioned tim drake to me. i was around like, 13 or 14, at a sleepover with a childhood friend who was into comics bc her dad was into comics, and we were settling down in bed for the night and i happened to pick up a batman comic from her shelf while she was in the bathroom and when she came out she started telling me about the comics, and how dc recently did something stupid called the "new 52", and how there are actually five robins, and i remember vividly that i was trying so hard to keep up but i was just staring at the ceiling with the blankets up to my chin because the air conditioning at her place was always way too cold for me, and i was just like. who on earth can possibly keep track of all of these guys???? gosh okay i'll just try to remember dick grayson i think he's the most important one. (note: at this point i had pretty much every family tree in the silmarillion memorized.) little did i even know...

Yes, because I am so happy about them, comments are just so great to read, someone takes time to react to my crap, which I love deeply, it is so great to talk with them about their points and feelings and observations, commenters are awesome.

4. What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

Is it an angsty ending, if the whole thing was angsty..? But I generally tend to search for hope..

Of those on AO3 I'd say The Flute sort of.. (rather searching some serenity in angst). But I used to have one much harsher on fanfiction.net years ago for a different fandom, even if there, too, was some very f*cked up thread of hope

5. What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

Of those actually finished, it may seem weird, but to me The Scar in His Hand was an ending that just made me happy and hopeful if that counts

Ok but to be fair Behind the Scenes ends with an overdose of fluff

6. Do you write crossovers?

Not really so far :/

Not really, some of my blorbos are sexually active and happily so, but it is just hinted at, I never got there

Some years ago someone translated my fun one-shot (on fanfiction.net) into Russian and put it on some other server (they asked for consent). Meanwhile, I have deleted the fic for reasons, but the translation may be floating somewhere over the internet

10. Have you ever co-written a fic?

Yes, years ago we wrote two different fics with a real-life friend :) We used the strategy of dividing characters for each of us to write. It was great, but we did not finish either of them hehe

11. What's your all time favorite ship?

Ok I know what this blog looks like now, but to tell the truth, I started to ship Himerish/Yarr about half a year ago (it was quite some explosion, yes).

I shipped and ship a lot of pairs (and some threes), but I don't think I ever had like THE ONE

12. What's a WIP you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

Probably the LoTR fic of which I wrote just a part like in 2013, where I shipped Éeowyn and an OC dwarf-woman (I made her a daughter of Dwalin and she journeyed on her own (and without permission) to save her uncle Balin, bc they had no messages from Moria :(( but she got stuck in Rohan. It was pre-canon.)

13. What are your writing strengths?

Uhh.. ok self-appreciation time..

I dont know if mirroring yourself in characters is weakness, or strength, but it might bring some positives..? Like relatability hopefully..?

And I like to explore stuff.. imagining weird situations, overthinking headcanons to fill in the lore.. and such :)

14. What are your writing weaknesses?

Sometimes in search of vocabulary my head starts to boil, so language, English is not my first.. also I think i am sometimes too dramatic. And sometimes I have doubts if I am not talking about stuff that is too heavy and that I do not actually understand.

15. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fic?

So only by reading answers by previous posters I get that this means like other than the main language of the fic..? I never did that.. why not really, look I like LoTR and its linguistic variety, and I like all the weird sounds in Star Wars, and Im a nerd for all the sounds that real people make, so go for it people, it's fun

16. What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for but want to?

hmmmMMMmmmm... technically I've written for LoTR, but not enough.

17. What's your favorite fic you've written?

Ohhh... ok this is difficult.. I think I'll go sort of neutral and choose sentiment reasons, and will say my very fist fic, which I wrote in Czech, when I was about 14, it was just this silly fun about an OC in HP, red-headed girl, of course, and with some cool features like high tolerance to cold and alcohol

And I was just very proud of it. Also it was lowkey funny and somewhat plotless? Unfortunately - I took it off FF.net and then I think my dumbass decided to delete it from my computer too? Don't do that. Don't ever do that. YOU LEAVE THAT WIP./COMPLETED WORK/WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO ROT ON YOUR HARDRIVE FOR GOOD.

Finding Love: Emily and Jayden - PRS: Emily/Jayden - Canon Divergence - 2011 - Oh these two blorbos. My first big hit. Made all the 10-15 year olds wild. Gave me confidence in my writing abilities. I think it's just a very sweet story. Back when I just wanted fluff, not to drag my barbies through the mud.

Movie Marathons and Love Triangles - PRS: Emily/Jayden - Canon Divergence - 2011 - Kind of same as above except it's a one-shot. Back when my brain got one-shot flashes instead of "You need to write three novels for this one scene/AU idea." Pure fluff. Some silly things.

A Game of Revenge and Loyalty - TLK: Stiorra/Sigtryggr - Hunger Games AU - Fall 2024 (Hopefully) - I am officially at around 58k words. And just over halfway done. I would estimate I have ~10 chapters left to write. This fic was one of the first ideas my brain went WILD over in ten years and that I have actually stuck to/kept thinking about after the year mark. All to say - I am absolutely feral over this fic and it is extremely self-indulgent and i dont give a fuck and my brain will be so happy when i get to read it back one day.

Untitled WIP - TLK: Stiorra/Sigtryggr - Biker Gang AU - ???? - This would be one of my first "challenge" fics to grow my writing as it would involve a asynchronous timeline, a bit of a mystery, and possibly utilizing 1st POVs? IDK. I have it plotted by 80-90%. It's just figuring out how to set up the asynchronous timeline/order of chapters. And you know...writing it....Which would take a few months. BUT ITS REALLY COOL AND I HOPE I GET TO WRITE AND DO THE IDEA JUSTICE !!!

mun is 22 and muse is 10-13 depending on what era/verse damian i feel like writing for my particular thread. i am more partial to younger damian just bc but i can just as easily write 13-14 yr old dami when possible. damian's potrayal is very super-sons and son of batman and just a little of wfa in there too.

i use basic icons (75x75 - 120x120) and some bolding and italicization. i dont go too crazy with that stuff. if you ever need me to edit the way i write or format to help you read it or something just let me know and i can do so! i tend to talk lowercase oocly but if this bothers you lmk and i can use better grammar.

genuinely what is trigun

my biggest current hyperfixation, its like two and half mangas/two animes/a movie

it started as just the manga "Trigun", then was adapted into the 1998 anime, then the manga CONTINUED in the form of "Trigun Maximum" which has 14 volumes plus a little addon anthology book called "Multiple Bullets" (but I don't know much about it specifically). im on volume 11 and it is KILLING ME [positive]!! there was a movie, Badlands Rumble, in 2010, most people have kinda mixed feelings about it cause the characterization is questionable but I still like it. the latest rendition of it is Trigun Stampede, made by the same studio that made Beastars. you might also hear about "trigun omnibus"-- thats just a reprint of the manga condensed into 7 books instead of 14. Trigun Stampede was the first one I watched and its my personal favorite but I love all versions of it truly madly deeply. it's my absolute favorite kind of story: the kind that slow boils you like a frog, gradually getting more and more difficult to explain as it goes on, but that also makes it more and more difficult to get more people into it

the main character, Vash The Stampede, is a wanted gunman with a varying amount of money on his head depending on the rendition / point in time but usually 60 billion double dollars, except hes actually a pacifist who avoids violence if he can and refuses to kill. his designs vary between renditions (I think he wears like 7 different coats in the manga?) but generally, blonde spiky hair, orange glasses, prosthetic arm, red coat. trigun stampede is the most different design from the previous renditions, a lot simpler mostly (except for his arm, bane of many fanartists though I honestly really like drawing it) but basically hes my biggest blorbo I both love him and want to be him. people call him a twink but hes not hes built like a brick shithouse under the coat

hes usually accompanied by Wolfwood, religious trauma personified whos hard to describe because his personality varies the most between renditions-- though his design is pretty consistent across the board, wears a suit and carries a big wrapped-up cross thats actually a gun called "The Punisher". he's usually a priest, but in Stampede he's an undertaker. also before I knew what Trigun was when I saw people at a convention cosplaying him I thought he was a supernatural character

and Meryl and Milly (though Milly isn't in Trigun Stampede yet), who in most renditions are insurance agents assigned to follow Vash but then get attached to him like the sad pathetic wet cat he is

then theres Vash's fuckass twin brother who I hate, Millions Knives, edgelord supreme that, depending on the version, I either couldnt care less about or just flat out dislike. 1. ride or die ship (your otp): CUNNINGWAY!!! They’re my girls. Chrissy and Heather my beloveds. I have never been so hyped for a ship before and this is the first time I’ve put this much effort into one, but if I don’t advocate for this rarepair then who will? Yes! there's a fantastic group of russian folks who liked to read In Search of Home when I was updating it. If i start it up again, it's gonna be for them <3

Honestly I don't think I have one? I like imagining various blorbos together but nothing stands out to me off the top of my head.

I want so badly to finish In search of home, but the motivation....the muse...they are away never to be seen again...

16.) what are your writing strengths?

scene setting and character building. Action and dialogue can sometimes feel stilted, but I'm really good at giving the narration a strong voice and making strong, 3D characters :3

17.) what are your writing weaknesses?

pacing and plot. I get lost in the weeds, or I dont go into the metaphorical grass at all, and it's so hard to find that middle ground. Fortunately for fanfic you don't need to worry about pacing quite as much as you would for more traditionally-written stories with a planned beginning middle and end

18.) thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I love it honestly. I threw in some spanish here and there for a bilingual character, and I think it adds some authenticity when you know the language. But if you don't, there's nothing wrong with just writing it in the language you do speak and just indicating that it's in a different language.

19.) first fandom you wrote for?

When I was 9 years old I was introduced to na.ruto and made my first OC. nothing was ever the same.

Although my first FIC fic was a H.arry P.otter fic when I was 11, posted on quizilla. Anyone remember Quizilla? That shit rocked. i loved those interactive fics.

20.) favorite fic you've ever written?

Honestly In Search of Home. It's just fun and silly and feels like a good continuation of my version of the series finale.

i am a connoisseur of talking nonsense so dont you worry. and oooo this is the most enigmatic question of all time for me. it shifts from moment to moment. i have tried many times to declare a favorite and it never really feels right because i love and think about them all about the same. i usually say clarissa is my favorite because she is the one i connected with first. i loved her from the moment i met her on my very first playthrough, and she has continued to be something i return to in low moments because she is symbolic of something very valuable to me when it comes to dealing with anger. but as i said in The Oxenfree Playthrough Video™, jonas is realistically more my favorite because gets the most reaction out of me. he's a blorbo, a scrunkly, whatever. evokes a lot of those feral stick figure memes with the blood. he is just suuuuch a little guy to me and so funny and so sweet and just like me for real. also more of the dealing with anger thing. that's a big plus for me always but in this moment? right now? i kinda wanna say? its ren? i do say quite often that i actually think about him maybe more than any of the other characters, i just usually dont vocalize it because i am often worried im embellishing and taking liberties with his intended character. and the thoughts can get very complicated for personal reasons that i wont get into and because it took a long time to get to this place with him as a character compared to the others. he was my least favorite by far when i first played. but i just cannot help myself but infer from his dialogue now that ive played like 80 times and picked all the options that there is just so much more to him than could ever have fit into the game. ren is cup fucking overflowing like there is so much of his emotional issues bursting out of the seams through the whole game and i am just so endeared to him and his thoughts and motivations. he is also just a little guy to me who is funny of course, but he isnt a little guy in the comfy, brotherly, jonas way. he is a poor little wet cat of a man to me with the most adhd a person can have. i want to know about his past and his future almost more than anyone else because, and it is wild, for how much ren talks and overshares, we really don't know a lot about his life before the island. we know like, ALL of the details, but none of the core. he "needs to be needed" and has a therapist and needed a baby sitter until he was 14 and we will just...never know the core of why! how much did michael's death hurt him? we know how it affected alex, and clarissa, and even jonas by proxy! but even if he wasn't friends with michael, he still grew up with him. and knowing how close he was to alex...y'know? and we just never really...find out a lot there. and somehow that absence of knowledge speaks more to me about his character than any direct info ever would? he cannot help but be kind of a damaged little dude who spews his needs and fears at the drop of a hat, but i don't think he likes being that way. he wants and likes to be jokey and deflective and just have a good fucking time. and i both feel bad for him because of that and understand completely? even if he himself has not gone through something traumatic, everyone around him has. so why wouldn't he just want to make a space where they can all just have fun? sorry he just makes me insane. anyway. yeah, ren right now. i think. clarissa or jonas usually. probably alex tomorrow. i will shut up now because i should, not because i don't have more to say. i will always have more to say about these characters. man
