Meet Eve the Owl!

So my initial concept for Eve was very rushed and I feel very confident in it and that feeling only solidified over time.

She was originally Don's kid and adopted by Nite when they got together. That's kind of flip flopped ! As a result, her species has also changed.

Her species was initially a budgie as well. I thought it was a very good idea at the time to have her take solely after a mother no longer in the picture, species and all.

Her name has also changed! Originally, her name was Dana with the intention that she would go by the nickname "Day." That way, her name with fit well with her dads. Don the Rooster, Day the Budgie, and Nite the Owl.

However, I also felt like the nickname "Day" just felt forced. In hindsight, I don't really know why I didn't even consider the name Eve. Don, Eve, and Nite all still fit quite nicely together and Eve fits a bit more natural.

Despite the changes in her appearance, I think a lot about her will remain the same. She's still an eccentric ray of sunshine who's currently in university studying communications in hopes of taking over the radio station at one point. She's still besties with Vector and not yet shipped with anyone. She's still proudly trans!

She's just got a design overhaul and a slight tweak in her backstory.

You know those “Lloyd goes back to his og age” fics? Where Lloyd, using some sort of plot logic, is ‘reverted’ back to the age he was before he got aged up? Which was 10??

I find it hilarious to think that all the ninja and co would think this is a great thing, an opportunity for Lloyd to finally grow up normally, except depending on the time line, Lloyd isn’t ten anymore.

My guys like 16 mentally (in this post, let’s say he’s 16. But you could also say he’s 14 if you’re using the early seasons, 16-18 for the new design seasons, or 20+ for Dragons rising. Either way it’s hilarious).

Please i would hate it if i was 16 and suddenly turned 10 again. Like no i don’t wanna go back to this time i was horrible please. No Kai i don’t wear skull shirts anymore. No Jay i don’t need a booster seat in the mechs and cars we use- ZANE WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN’T USE THEM ANYMORE???

And then no one’s helping him go back to normal because they all forgot that he still aged mentally at a normal pace.

I got a referral to an actual gynecologist to talk about surgery AND hrt. As well as xray for my back pain and an ultrasound to make sure the gynecologist has updated images of how bad the situation is.

I am absolutely gonna have to spin this to my parents so I still have a place to live, because my father is a 60+ year old Roman catholic italian and my mother is a vaguely xtian older woman who deeply assumes I'm gonna settle down and have kids to pass the house onto.

Neither of them are GREAT about me being trans. But being nonbinary and very interested in the local town not beating me to death, I use my dead name and she/her. So they tend to completely forget I'm queer at all. Which is useful for stealthing. Not great for hedging reactions.

Logistically they'll assume I'm swapping binaries.

Given I work and time share in the closet, this wouldn't change much.

What will is whenever I actually get to start T. Because my mothers very very invested in taking sandpaper to every "deviation" from "normal" womanhood my PCOS caused. Literally. She had me sand the stubble off my face for like two weeks in hs before she decided it was a bad look compared to razor burn. Several months of max power laser treatment JUST IN CASE it burned out the roots on my face even through my beard is red and the laser doesn't target it well or at all. Spent weeks between treatments healing from the burns. I still can't get too much sun on my face or I'm fucked. She got upset when I was prescribed birth control because it would make me gain weight and it meant I couldn't marry straight out of hs and have grandkids.

Just to illustrate the point that uh.

She's more attached to the mental image of me being a woman in some form than me being comfortable with things.

She's also the lynchpin against my father impulsively disowning me. So keeping her happy enough is a thing.

All this, still in pain. Sweating buckets. Still sitting at work trying not to ruin my accounts register with hand sweat.

We plan and we progress.
