Evil Clone 87 Donatello from Donatello's Duplicate for @cupcakeslushie DTIYS! I saw this DTIYS and somehow this is what first came to mind.

In the episode Donatello’s evil clone commands a rat army, rats at first provided by the rat king, hence why they’re here. I just loved his cocky attitude. I could write a whole episode of this bastard returning as a viable threat. I COULD-

My first post on here, hello!! 👋 These drawings are from what I call my ROTTMNT Haunted! au!! Below is a pretty long explanation ⬇️

(Discontinued/on hiatus unfortunately!)

When Casey jr went through the portal, as the lone survivor raised by the Hamato clan, all the spirits from the timeline he knew went with him. After the movie, on the morning of halloween, Michelangelo wakes up to discover the undead spirits of himself and his brothers from the Darkest Timeline in his house. He can talk to them, touch them, but nobody else except Draxum can even see them.

Future Mikey, who has been affectionately dubbed “Uncle Angelo,” has a theory for why they aren’t at rest; Hamato souls have specific slots in the ninpo family line. Since their exact souls already exist in the good timeline, they’re duplicates who don’t have anyplace to go. So he devises a plan; create a mystic spell to add additional slots to the family line to let the Dead Dogs lie.

Casey jr has almost nothing to do all day, so he’s been spiraling lately, not getting sleep and constantly looking for things to do. Every time he finds something enjoyable, he just wishes his family, the family that raised him was there to see it. He always tags along on missions to create and fulfill the slot spell, even if it hurts.

Future Leonardo (“gramps” to Mikey,) tends to fixate on Jr, how/what he’s doing. He’s pleased to see his mental health in a good state, but that’s only because he saw him when other people were around. When the truth about Jr becomes clearer to him, he becomes more.. reluctant about the spell.

However, as time passes, the veil between the spirit world and the mortal plane begins to thicken, and the lines between the present turtles and their future counterparts begin to blur. Mikey starts dreaming about fights he never fought, older than he ever was in kraangified wastelands he’s never seen anything close to. He’ll wake up in a cold sweat, thinking like an old wizard before he remembers he’s 15, he lives in the sewers, and he stopped all that stuff from coming to pass. These nightmares are becoming more vivid. Time is the one luxury they do not have.

Will the spell work?

(Additional context; Donatello can move things with his pointer finger slightly, like that politician character from that Ghost show. Additionally, Leonardo can try to deliver messages to people in their dreams, Mikey has some control over wind, Raph can make things rattle a bit, and April, they don’t know where she went. They know she’s here, where is she?)

from left to right;; it's the reference i used for the fisheye lens thingy ((brock lee,, found it after searching 'fisheye' on pinterest HSHFKDJF)),, the original donnie looking down at steren before i realized it doesn't quite make sense and extended it with the addition of tilting everything,,, and the height difference between steren and donnie ((6 inches is 15.20 cm and 5'3 is 160 cm)) that i used!!!

i remember seeing you say something about a first-person g/t horror game and i thought of this a while after!! i think i drew this two to three days ago?? i drew steren first then donatello;; but after that i realized that if i wanted it to be from the pov of steren looking up at him; i'd have to either redraw the entire thing ((i realized it only after i finished rendering)) or duplicate everything and use the transform thingy to fix the perspective and move the color layers to fit into the lineart :PP

it made me take a break from it for like a day or two cause i got a little overwhelmed after shrimping over my pc screen for a few hours but i finished it!! ta-daahhh!!!! it still kinda doesn't look right to me ((i feel like donnie should still be a little bigger than that..? not sure though,, i can't exactly visualize how it would look very well)) but i don't feel like editing it a second time (ノ*°▽°*) (ノ*°▽°*) !!!! /lh

Thank you for your concern! My carpal tunnel has been approving somewhat these last few weeks! Hopefully I'll be able to find some free time this weekend while I'm off to knock down some of this list.

Also if you do happen to send in an idea similar to someone else's; don't worry too much about it because I don't mind, I like the challenge~ Duplicates give me the opportunity to try out different ideas that I may have for a single plot/theme.

Btw sorry about not really posting anything these last few weeks... I kinda forgot to pay my wifi bill so I didn't really have internet for awhile until I got paid again... Anyways—

2012!Donnie: NONE of the guys from that Turtle Power troop do! Their Donatello can just hit things and they suddenly start working, each of them can pull objects from nowhere and they all just start talking to space sometimes for seemingly no reason! And everyone in their dimension treats this as normal! It's like the laws of reality don't even apply to them!

watching a very specific episode of tmnt 1987 but not in order or anything (i cant watch episodic shows in order sorry) and its reminding me why i liked old cartoon so much. they could just say whatever and not worry about it not Making Sense cuz they were aware the concept was absurd in the first place.

donatello made a mistake in his *checks notes* math or something and now his clone is *checks notes again* twice as smart and twice as good at Ninja Skills than him. Also a rat can talk cuz when donnie was duplicating it as a test he accidentally stuck his finger in front of the Science Ray. also the rat king is so funny. Also a weird goon man said "juvenile karate reptiles" it's so good.

okay, so there was no new winchesters tonight, but I HAVE been listening to the @endofthebookpod episode from the last new ep last week (go listen!). I haven’t had a chance to hear the whole episode yet, but i wanted to type this before my brain let go of it... huh, memory magic

SO. Anyway, point being, the discussion around Lata learning memory magic, and the comments about how it wasn’t really a big part of spn canon so wondering how it was going to be used... my VERY first thought when Lata offered to remove Roxy’s traumatic memories was of Cas in s6 taking all of Lisa and Ben’s memories of Dean (ostensibly to protect them and to unburden them from the horrific trauma they experienced because of their association with him-- only partly for Dean to protect them from being used against him again, but because he HATED what he’d done to Ben, having to watch his mother killed (or near as), and Ben both wanting to become a hunter like Dean and then having to confront what that actually means as Dean carried his dying mother to safety and Ben had to shoot someone (yes, a demon, but still, a person-shaped thing).

Okay that was a lot of words to say that DEAN HIMSELF had made that choice for someone else in the past, and here’s Roxy confronting all the suppressed traumatic memories and CHOOSING DELIBERATELY TO KEEP THEM. (I already wrote a bit about that here)

But memory magic was also like... a core staple of Heaven’s power structure. Cas spent several seasons dealing with the aftereffects of heaven’s torture, which largely involved brainwashing quite directly. Not only can most angels Obi Wan humans (these are not the droids you are looking for level stuff, or even the level that Zachariah used on Sam and Dean in episodes like 4.17 It’s A Terrible Life), but Naomi had a specially built device to specifically dig into angel main programming and tweak the internal dials-- everything from behavioral correction to what we will learn in later seasons involved deleting specific memories of things (like the fact Cas was a participant in several biblical atrocities like the killing of the firstborns, etc.).

Sure, Naomi needed specially constructed tools to achieve that level of mental manipulation-- which Crowley and his demons were then able to duplicate to use on Samandriel and eventually Sam/Gadreel-- but Cas? Well, he had a Particular Specialty with memory magic himself. It was a major plot point in s13. Not just in 13.14 Good Intentions when he confesses to Donatello that he had a special ability that he swore to never use on anyone without their consent, but that he deems it too urgent not to use it on Donatello, for the sake of the world. He feared the corruption that Donatello suffered because of the Demon Tablet, and he needed the information Donatello refused to give about the alternate universe gateway spell.

This power was supposedly unique to Castiel, like many other angels were “specialists.” Specifically we know Uriel’s specialty was smiting towns, Zachariah’s specialty was... lets call it giving unique experiences to people directly. Whatever. Cas’s special power was not only reading people’s minds (something we saw him do a good number of times before this-- like tapping Rowena’s forehead and knowing the one person she felt love for, Oskar), but also specifically stripping those memories from people’s minds.

Which is kinda what we saw him do to Lisa and Ben. And what he did from Donatello here. Literally removed the memories so he could sort through them all himself.

Is that what Lata is learning to do now, whether from Tony or some other source inside her dreams? To access other people’s memories and then selectively strip those memories away from the person?

Because that’s like a Cas Special.

(even the broken AU Castiel was called in to use that special talent specifically, to strip the information the angels wanted directly from Charlie and Ketch’s minds... if that was a standard angel power, they wouldn’t have needed to call in Cas specifically, and I always felt that was a MAJOR reason that version of Cas was as broken as he was, that being forced to use that power is what damaged him, since Our Cas had REFUSED to use the power until it was the only option they had left...)

(I won’t even mention The Empty and the Entity’s interesting power to just... flip through Cas’s memories in 13.04... okay i mentioned it, but I don’t know what else to do with it yet lol, other than to suggest that whatever is happening in The Winchesters is adjacent to or being affected by the Empty... I wouldn’t be shocked if the Akrida turned out to be agents of the Empty actually so... off point mittens, get back to the point now...)

but then that also made me wonder... did Cas hold on to all those memories he stripped from Lisa and Ben? Did he flip through them when he was feeling sad? did it actually make him feel WORSE about everything that had transpired leading up to 6.22 and the choices he made afterward? his determination to obliviate himself into Emmanuel even? or to stay in purgatory? heck... i just made myself very fucking sad...

Okay. I just needed all this on record. Memory magic is a HUGE part of spn, and whatever it’s leading up to in The Winchesters feels very, very relevant.

And also very, very connected to Cas.

Summary:

*Slaps fic! This baby can fit so many turtles in it! Like, at least 16. Maybe more who knows. After defeating the Krang, the Rise crew are wary of other threats they may face just as threatening. And a journey across dimensions reveals that some alternate versions of them need more than a little help. And they’re just the kind of turtles that can provide! Old threats, familiar faces, and new brothers! Sure these foes are... a bit. tough. But hey! At least their counterparts are fun to hang out with! ..Even if some don't seem to like them at first...

i understand theres 193 episodes of 87 so i get why people wouldnt watch all of it (like anything thats description says don turtelli is in it, skip it, trust me, you do not want to see that) BUT if anyone wants a list of good 87 tmnt episodes i started making one when we hit s4

id say watch s1 theres only 5 episodes and its the set up for the show but if you just want to put on some fun stuff heres a list i made while watching it (thus it is missing other good episodes cuz i only thought to do so halfway through the binge once we kept getting banger after banger)

Will the interstellar turtles ever meet Splinter? Did he meet the babies and the Utroms took them away from him, or was it pretty much right after their mutation and before he kinda adopted them?

wait i never talked about that publicly? 😳 oops

okay so basically,,, splinter adopted the turtles as his own children and they were taken away from him.

one of them was separated from him when they were first mutated tho, and he found her later after the boys were taken by the utrom.

so he has venus de milo with him.

but splinter missed his other children so much but had no way of getting them back.

but only a few years later, a turtle escaped from dimension x, and splinter found him. the clone revealed himself as a clone of one of the mutant turtles who were taken by the utroms (he’s donatello’s clone btw, which is a reference to the 87 episode donatello’s duplicate).

splinter takes this as a sign to train venus and the clone, who he took in and named kirby, specifically to get his boys back. but he doesn’t tell them this. kirby figures it out tho and becomes bitter about it.

after they become teenagers, around the time the main boys meet, venus and kirby get involved with fighting the foot clan and stuff. they eventually meet and adopt slash as their own, and eventually jennika too. so they’re a little team

and right after jennika mutates, the main turtles come to earth and meet splinter. april enters the story here too.

and so venus finds out she was basically the second favorite to the boys, kirby becomes even more bitter bc now splinter is occupied with his long lost sons now home, slash isolates bc he thinks ppl hate him anyway, and jennika doesn’t even know if she’s part of the family bc splinter now doesn’t seem to have a place for her anymore.

these four are supportive of each other, but their pain toward splinter makes it difficult to communicate their feelings,,

meanwhile splinter is incredibly grateful to have his boys back, but finds that none of them are completely willing to accept him as a father figure. donatello has trauma from krang, raphael still misses traximus, michelangelo hates authority, and leonardo thinks all of this is temporary until he can finally go back and defeat moriah and become king of slandon.

so no one’s happy.

to be clear, splinter loves all his kids. he’s just a rlly flawed father and needs to recognize his shortcomings.

it’s at this point in the story when character development really starts.
